08-03-94 - The Boston Garden Boston, MAOkerlund welcomes the Wrestling Fans here at The Boston Garden and the folks at home to another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling. He then introduces his broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo who says he doesn't like being in Massachusetts as it's a little too close to that Canada place. Gene says he'd better get used to it as they'll be getting even closer over the next couple of weeks. Poffo says maybe he can get some moose hunting in while they're at it; but he wouldn't want to accidentally shoot Mrs. Okerlund. They then run down tonight's card together in which the Women's Title will be on the line as Champion "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai is set to take on "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore once again in a rematch ordered by ECW President Eric Bischoff; which Lanny doesn't think is fair. In the big Main Event; number one contender for the Eastern Heavyweight strap "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango will take on "Canada's Greatest Athlete" Mike Sharpe. Lanny wonders if Sharpe's proximity to Canada will give him the motivation he needs for an upset here tonight. We are then taken backstage where Eastern States Champion Rob Van Dam runs into an old friend and mentor; Battle Kat. He asks his bud what's up before thanking him for getting him into a tour with All-Japan Pro Wrestling, how much he learned from it; and how if not for Battle Kat he probably wouldn't have been ready to be here at Eastern Championship Wrestling and as a result its Intercontinental Champion today dude. He then asks Battle Kat what he's doing here at ECW. Battle Kat says he's here to answer some sort of open challenge and RVD's eyes go wide. He tells Battle Kat it isn't worth it and that the challenge is against a monster of a man known as The Blitzkrieg. The Battle Kat thanks Rob for his concern; but says that he fears no man and will decimate any opponent that comes his way with his catlike prowess. RVD looks concerned but when Battle Kat exits he shrugs his shoulders and sighs "Whatever dude."Eastern Championship then returns to ringside where The Baron Von Raschke is already on the microphone selling how powerful his charge; "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg is. He says that no wrestler of the past or the present can take him down and that if someone did; The Blitzkrieg would leave the sport today; and whoever beat him deserves The Blitzkrieg's spot here at ECW. Not that that will ever, EVER happen of course. No one shall beat the pride, the very backbone of The Republic of Germany. Not in this ring. Not in any ring. The Battl Kat's intro then hits and the masked man pretty much dances his way down to the ring.Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Battle Kat When Danny Davis starts the match; The Battle Kat smartly opts to not lock up with The Blitzkrieg and instead slides throug his legs and hops up for a dropkick to his back. Battle Kat is much fast than "Mangler's Monster" and keeps up a fast paced hit and run tactic for several minutes with little effect before going for a moonsault off the top. The Blitzkrieg catches him in mid-air and slams him into the mat. He then stomps on The Kat for a bit before lifting him up and nails him with a vicious piledriver. Going for the pin he gets an easy three count.
The Baron Von Raschke then orders Blitzkrieg to lift up his opponent which he does. Raschke says that this thing obviously means something to the man who cost them the King of the Mountain match back in February as well as the Eastern States Championship. He begins hammering on Battle Kat's head. He then says that while they haven't been able to get their hooks into Van Dam yet; his friend will pay the price instead. With that he rips off his mask and immediately applies The Brain Claw! From the back Rob Van Dam comes racing to the rescue and jumping up onto the apron, then the ropes; connects with a springboard dropkick to Von Raschke that sends the old man flying as Battle Kat grabs his own face and rolls from the ring. This leaves RVD in the ring with The Blitzkrieg; who nails the Intercontinental Champ with a huge clothesline as he turns to face him. "Mangler's Monster" then stomps him a bit before Von Raschke climbs into the ring and while he is still lying in pain on the floor; gives Rob a Brain Claw of his own. As RVD screams in pain Eastern Championship goes to...When Eastern Championship returns Okerlund and Poffo shows footage of what happened after the break. Half the locker room spilled out of the back including Bischoff, Rick Rude; and Arn Anderson to chase off The Blitzkrieg and Von Raschke. Battle Kat was then taken backstage on a stretcher while with help from Rude and Anderson; Van Dam was able to weakly get back to his feet and with help get to the back. McGillicutty then announced the contestants in the next match.Tag-Team Match: The Lawlers vs. The Stevies This was a fairly routine match which saw all four men in action at one point or another. The Stevies put up a good fight and Steve Blackman nearly got the pin on Brian Lawler following a superkick; but Jerry Lawler broke it up. In the end "The King" got the three count from referee Teddy Long after nailing Steven Richards with his patented Flying Fist Drop. After the break "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen sounds as "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch makes his way to the ring with his Tag-Team partner The Junkyard Dog. The Dog joined Gene and Poffo at ringside and scared Lanny a bit by barking at him. When asked why he is out here for Murdoch's singles Match; he says that his opponent is a no-good cheat and JYD is here to make sure things stay one on one.Just then voodoo drums are heard as the arena goes dark and mist fills the arena. This seems to spook The Dog and he tells Gene he don't like people that mess with hoodoo. Growing up in the South; he learned to stay away from that tripe real fast. Brickhouse Brown appears on the ramp with Papa Shango and they head down to the ring where Offical S.D. Jones tells Shango to keep out as Brown enters.Match: Dick Murdoch vs. Brickhouse Brown There isn't much technical wrestling here as Dick Murdoch and Brickhouse Brown brawl about the ring. Murdoch nearly pulls off the win with a delayed suplex that gets him a two count. Brown on the otherhand gets a near three after delivering a backbreaker over his knee to "Captain Redneck." It's Shango's interference that wins it in the end however when he distracts Murdoch who begins shouting at him over the ropes and "The Soul Stealer" jumps up and nails him with a hairpull hangman that sends Dick staggering backward into a back body drop from Brickhouse Brown for the pinfall. This upsets Junkyard Dog of course who goes after Papa Shango who escapes into the ring. JYD gives pursuit and pays the price and The Black Circle members double team him and Shango hits him with the inverted shoulderbreaker; leaving both members of Deep South down for the count.Okerlund welcomes the Fans back to Eastern Championship here on their home station of TNN The Nashville Network. He then reminds us that next week Eastern Championship will air live from The Eastern States Coliseum in West Springfield, Massachusetts where "Ravishing" Rick Rude will take on Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage in a non-Title bout. He then says while that match will not be for the Championship Gold; this next match certainly will be. Poffo reiterates how he finds this match that Bischoff made to be unfair. How Champion Leilani Kai has already beaten the challenger Jacqueline Moore on numerous occassions and that she shouldn't have to do so again.Women's Title Match: Leilani Kai vs. Jacqueline Moore It's obvious from the start of the match that Jacqueline Moore is fuming and she attacks the Champ Leilani Kai the second the match begins. She is too violent however and receives several warnings from referee Danny Davis when she chokes Kai up against the ropes. Leilani isn't above some cheating herself however and changes the course of the match with an eye rake. She dominates for a while, getting a near fall with first a powerbomb and then with a diving splash. "Miss Texas" won't stay down however and in a rage Leilani throws her opponent out of the ring. On the outside Leilani grabs Beulah McGillicutty's chair and attempts to hit Moore with it; but the challenger steals it away. Kai then escapes back inside the ring as Jacqueline gives pursuit. While Davis yells for Moore to stop; it comes a bit too late as Jacqueline slams the Champion in the head with the chair; gives the match to Leilani Kai by DQ. Moore immediately realizes her mistake and is noticeably pissed while Davis checks on Kai.
After the match we're taken backstage once again where ECW President Eric Bischoff is backstage with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Bischoff reminds the fans that while Arn lost the number one contender's match last week to Papa Shango; as per the match stipulation; Anderson will be picking the match type. He then asks Arn if he has made his decision yet. Arn Anderson tells Bischoff he's lucky he isn't a wrestler after reminding him of his loss last week. He says that it would've never happened if Eric had barred everyone from ringside. Which he should in such an important match. He then says that it doesn't matter as he'll surely have other shots at the Title. That now he's got to think of what type of match to pit Randy Savage and Papa Shango in. Too men he absolutely hates. Two men he wouldn't mind seeing put through the ringer. Two men he would love to see tear one another limb from limb. He then says he still needs some time to think it over. And will have an answer for Eastern Championship's fans next week."Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions hits as Eastern Championship returns from break. Buck Zumhoff appears on the ramp with his boombox in hand and dances his way down to the ring. Once he's inside he says that in honor of his opponent here tonight; he will Riverdance for him. He then does so as Erin O'Grady makes his way down to ringside and tosses a few coins to the crowd. He gets in the ring and tells Buck to knock his buffoonery off. That Riverdance is an insult to Irish culture as a whole. He the crowd a proper Irish dance and dances a jig for the crowd; who boo him. He tells them all to kiss to Blarney Stones.Match: Buck Zumhoff vs. Erin O'Grady Buck Zumhoff and Erin O'Grady put on a fast paced, action packed match which see several nearfalls throughout. Zumhoff seems down for the count after being hit with a vicious Enziguiri kick; but manages to get his hand to the bottom rope at the last second. Afterward the fans rally behind Zumhoff and after catching "The Leprechaun" when he goes for a hurrancanrana and counters with a spinebuster; "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff gets the three count from Long.
After the match Buck gets Teddy Long to Riverdance with him.Pomp and Circumstance is playing when Eastern Championship returns to air. Inside the ring is "The Macho Man" Randy Savage with the Eastern Heavyweight Title over his shoulder and "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs at his side.He then says that he knows he has a tough Match ahead of him soon. That he must face "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango. Yeah. And that while this dork from the darkside may not be able to defeat him one on one; he realizes Papa Shango will do anything in his power, cheat anyway he can, make a pact with the Devil himself to get the job done. And that makes him as big a threat and he can think of. Dig. But while he should be thinking of Papa Shango; he's had a thorn in his side. Ooh Yeah. A rather prickly thorn that just won't go away. Poking at him. And poking at him. Dig. And this gnat, this nothing; goes by the name of "Ravishing" Rick Rude. He then orders Rude to get his ass out here now.Rick Rude's strip theme soon hits and Rude swaggers his way down to the ring. He gets inside and looks Debbie Combs over before focusing on Savage. Randy then says that he's glad that Rude has been nothing but a punk ever since he first laid eyes on him. Dig. That "The Ravishing One" was always more focused on the ladies than winning matches and that's why he'll always be a second-rate competitor. Yeah. Rude then tells Savage that they've had their differences in the past. And that usually "The Ravishing One" came out on top. That next week he will do so again. And that as for the women; to the victor goes the spoils. And after he; Rick Rude; takes the Eastern Heavyweight Championship from him he'll have his pick of any, ANY; woman he wants. He then gestures to Debbie Combs.
Savage then tells Rude he's forgetting one very important fact. That here at Eastern Championship Rude has no friends. No Heenan Family to watch his back. And no King Kong Bundys to sucker punch him when the ref isn't looking. That next week Rick Rude will face off against the true World Champion; "Macho Man" Randy Savage one on one. Dig it.Okerlund and Poffo discuss the events we've witnessed thus far tonight. Okerlund says he wonders if Rick Rude has bitten off more than he can chew here against Heavyweight Champion Randy Savage. Poffo says that he's seen both men in action over the years and that it's bound to be one hell of a match no matter who wins it. But one thing's for certain; he won't be rooting for that Savage guy.Match: Ronnie Garvin vs. Taka Michinoku Before S.D. Jones starts the match he asks Garvin whose face is bandaged and bruised from last week if he wants to compete in this condition. Ronnie Garvin shrugs Jones off and locks up with Taka Michinoku. Taka tries to keep the match fast paced and hits several aerial maneuvers; even nearly getting the pin with a springboard crossbody before "The Rugged One" grounds Michinoku with a well-placed knee to the gut. Taka is no slouch on the mat either however and trades several holds with Garvin before the old vet gets the upperhand and begins to dissect his opponent; finishing Michinoku off with The Garvin Stomp for the win. He then wipes his head with his towel before chucking it down on Taka.
He then picks up the microphone and challenges Chris Jericho to come down and do what he did last week; only this time when he's ready for him without his back turned. He gestures to the bruises and bandages on the face; telling him this is what you look like when a coward beats you with a steel chair. And that he must be a coward because he isn't out here now. He is then distracted when Okerlund approaches the ring. He tells Garvin that Chris Jericho isn't here tonight; claiming he was injured himself last week. This seems to disgust Ronnie who throws his microphone to the floor before marching his way up the ramp to the back. The lights go dark and mist fills the arena as voodoo drums play and Papa Shango with Brickhouse Brown appear on the ramp. Lanny claims this gives him the willies everytime it happens and he and Gene recap The Black Circle's decimation of Deep South earlier in the evening before talking about Papa Shango's match last week in which he defeated Arn Anderson for the number one contendership for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Once Shango is inside the ring with Danny Davis; The Canadian National Anthem sounds and Mike Sharpe appears waving the Canadian flag. Lanny claims Canada's greatest finisher is lying on your back for the three count; which Sharpe is likely to demonstrate here tonight.Main Event: Papa Shango vs. Mike Sharpe Mike Sharpe is fired up tonight and gives as good as he gets in this heated match against Papa Shango. "Canada's Greatest" Athlete looks to have won it when he makes the cover following his Running Forearm Smash; but Shango stuns the crowd when he kicks out just before the three. From then on out it's all Papa Shango as he theatrically tries to "raise the spirits" and defeats "Iron" Mike Sharpe after hitting his inverted shoulderbreak following a clothesline from Hell.
Papa Shango then gets on the microphone and warns that the Eastern Championship and the very wrestling world will be shaken to its core when he wins the Eastern Heavyweight Championhip. And that a reign of darkness will eclipse us all. Mwahahaha.
Lights Fade.

08/20/94 - Maine"Here I Am Rocking Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions plays as "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff appears on the set of a brightly colored talk show set with a Rock 'N Roll/Wrestling theme. He boogies his way out and high fives several cheering kids and their parents before getting on the stage before them. He then introduces himself as AWA Legend and former Lightweight Champion; and wrestling's one and only true "Rock 'N Roller" Buck Zumhoff!'He then welcomes the kids at home to the another exciting episode of ECW Slammin' Saturdays! He informs them that today he has a very special guest in Arn Anderson's buddy; "The Superstar" Scott Taylor!
Buck talks to the kids about last week's episode and the heinous attack by Captain Lou Albano. He tells them that it's not right to hit people with chairs. He then informs us that since then he's been searching for the Tiffany whom Albano abducted to no avail.
Just then the screen behind him that usually says "ECW Slammin' Saturdays!" switches to static that is soon replaced with the visage of Captain Lou Albano; shocking Zumhoff."Wah ha ha! It's me Captain Lour Albano of course Buck! You may be asking yourself why I attacked you last week? Of course you are. Your brain looks like a dried up prune. So I'll just tell you why Zumhoff. You're a goof. Always have been, always will be. Runnin' around callin' yourself a legend cause you were some dimwit in a twobit racket like the AWA. Well lemme tell you something Zumhoff; ol' Captain Lou has done more for this business than you or your whole precious puny AWA combined. I've worn more gold and helped more on their way to get there. "Rock 'N Roll?" Don't make me puke. It was me who put the Rock 'N Wrestling Connection together with Cyndi Lauper. Me who made this business what it is today. And they give you a show you prancing, preening, pigfaced punk? This show should and will; be mine."
Buck of course isn't having any of this. He says he's worked damned hard to get where he is today and that if Albano wants his show; he's going to have to fight him for it. But that Captain Lou should've left Tiffany out of it.
Albano refers to Tiffany as nothing more than a bartering chip. That he'll return her on the condition Buck gives up his show. That a two-cent twit such as himself will never be able to find her or Albano otherwise.
Buck Zumhoff tells him that's fine; because he isn't going to have to look for them alone. His friend The Hughes Brothers have his back. At this point The Hughes Brothers Spike and Devon appear from the back! Devon says "Testify Brother Buck!" as he exchanges a fist pound with Buck. And Spike confirms that they have his back. That Captain Lou Albano has never been nothing more than a loud-mouthed bully and that the Hughes Brothers don't mind helping to shut him up. Buck says he has some experience in shutting up Loud-Mouths.
Captain Lou laughs at this and says he's never run from a fight. And that if Buck wants to rely on these blues lovin' yahoos that's fine by him; cause Captain Lou Albano has a team of his own! The camera scrolls back and we see the masked me standing behind Lou. He tells them it's okay to removes their masks now. And when they do; it's The Stevies! Steven Richards and Steve Blackman!Buck seems happy with this development and suggests that on next week's show The Stevies face off against The Hughes Brothers with the winner getting Tiffany! Captain Lou accepts and the screen returns to static; the back to normal.
Buck Zumhoff thanks The Hughes Brothers for their help before telling the kids to enjoy the first match of the morning which will feature "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!Arn Anderson vs. Austin Idol We're taken to a pre-recorded match Teddy Long officiates in which Austin Idol puts up more of a fight than we're used to here on Slammin' Saturdays. First escaping Arn's figure four leglock, Idol later gets a two count on Anderson when he catches "The Enforcer" offguard with an elbow smash that he follows up with a body slam. Arn Anderson gives as good as he receives however and in the end puts Austin Idol away for the three count.Deep South appears with Junkyard dog telling us that the letter K stands for kids, kittens; and Kit Kat bars. "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch then tells us that it also stands for the Ku Kl- but Junkyard's eyes go wide and he tells Murdoch to Keep quiet; before he Kicks his ass.
Buck Zumhoff then welcomes the kids at home back to the show. He talks about what an amazing match we just witnessed between "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and "The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol.
He the welcomes "The Superstar" Scott Taylor to the show and they shake hands. Buck starts off by talking to Taylor about his time in Eastern Championship Wrestling so far and his friendship with Arn Anderson. Scott says that he feels good about his first year so far in the company and with the help of "The Enforcer" he's been improving in the ring all the time. He's very thankful for all the advice his mentor Mr. Anderson has given him.
Buck then changes gears and tells Scott that he's a big fan of his entrance music. The two men then discuss Rock 'N Roll and various bands. Buck then says he's heard that Scott has other talents than wrestling and asks him to play the guitar for the kids. Taylor jams a bit playing Buck's own entrance music; "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scopions while Buck gets the gets to clap along. They seem really impressed by Taylor. Buck then thanks him for being on the show and Taylor tells him he was honored to be invited.
Zumhoff then says that he knows these kids like Wrestling; but do they love Rock'N Roll as much as "The Rock 'N Roller" Buck Zumhoff himself? He then says as we witnessed here today "The Superstar" Scott Taylor has killer taste in music; as his entrance music can certainly attest. Finally Buck Zumhoff says that time is almost up for this week's show and that it's now time for Slammin' Saturdays Main Event feature; the Wrestling Rewind. He says that this week's Rewind is from back on April 6th 1994 when "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle surprised the crowd when he nearly defeated ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage.4/6/94 Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Mongo Vyle Jones starts the match as Randy Savage moves to lock up with Mongo Vyle. Vyle however has other ideas and nails The Champ hard with a headbutt before slamming him with a barrage of rights and lefts. Pulling him in for a clothesline; Vyle takes Davage down to the floor. Randy struggles to his feet as Vyle puts the boots to him and then begins beating his back and neck before hitting him with a powerbomb. He's about to go for the pin when Randy rolls out of the ring. He staggers about for a bit while S.D. Jones starts the ten count. Angered by this Vyle yells at the champ before rolling out after him. Savage attempts to flee him around the ring, but Mongo is too fast and begins beating on his opponent. Using a drop toe hold however, Randy sends Vyle face first into the steel steps. Needing to catch his breath Randy circles around the ring while his opponent crawls to his feet. Savage slides back into the ring breaking then ten count at 6. When The Machievallan Mauler attempts to get back inside, Macho Man stomps his hands and kicks him in the face. When he tries again; Savage connects with a baseball slide that knocks Mongo onto his ass. Climbing the turnbuckle on the inside; Macho Man leaps out onto Mongo who has gotten back to his feet and delivers a double axe-handle to his opponent on the outside. Both men are down for a while; but Savage is back up and rolls into the ring at five. Inside he awaits the Count Out victory; but Mongo is back up at eight and though Randy attempts to keep him out; Vyle is able to force his way in this time under the rope. While he is still down Savage begins putting the boots to the young brawler; whom stuns The Champ as he leaps up to his feet and connects with an uppecut which floors Savage. Going for the pin he gets a two count. Lifting Savage to his feet proves to be a mistake for Vyle as Macho Man uses a sudden burst of strength to toss the big man over his shoulders. Mongo screams in pain on the floor as Randy follows up with a legdrop. When he goes for an elbowdrop however; he finds nobody home as Vyle rolls out of the way. Back on his feet now, Vyle whips Randy into the corner hard before charging in for a big Splash. When The Camp staggers stunned out of the corner Mongo lifts him in the air and nails him with a chokeslam. Making the cover again; Savage gets his foot on the bottom rope just before the three count. This seems to infuriate Vyle who picks Savage up to his feet and begins beating on him. Getting a third wind however; Macho Man begins fighting back and soon is delivering jab after jab on the big man whom he Irish whips across the ring and takes down with a running high knee. Savage has trouble lifting Vyle back to his feet, but when he does; with some difficulty he delivers a scoopslam. Waiting for Vyle to stagger back to his feet, Randy runs into the ropes to pick up some momentum and rolls up the big man. Grabbing a handul of pants; Savage holds the roll-up for the three count. Rolling out of the ring; he is met by Debbie Combs who hands him the Title and raises her man's hand in victory while Vyle yells at S.D. Jones inside the ring about the count.
Lights Fade.

08/24/94 - Alfond Arena Orono, MEMean Gene welcomes us Wrestling Fans to the Alfond Arena live in Orono, Maine for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling and apologizes in advance for his broadcast partner "Leaping" Lanny Poffo. Poff tells Gene that he's just doing it on purpose now; but that it doesn't matter anyway because even the folks at home know true "Genius" when they see it. They then dicuss the huge Main Event Eric Bischoff scheduled for next week between Champion Randy Savage and challenger Rick Rude for Savage's Eastern Heavyweight Championship. They then run down tonight's card in which The Stevies will face off against The Killer Bees to determine the first team to be entered in a Four Team Tag-Team Elimination Match that will take place at Hotter Than Hell for the Eastern Tag-Team Titles. Also tonight Steve Corino will get a rematch he requested against "Maniac" Matt Borne, Chris Jericho's pal Big Bad John will make his debut against the man he attacked last week; "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin; and # 1 contender at Hotter Than Hell Papa Shango will be in action against Scott Taylor. They then hype tonight's Main Event in which current # 1 contender Rick Rude will take on Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe. Two # 1 contenders for the Eastern Heavyweight Title will be in action tonight!
"Everyday" by Buddy Holly then plays as Steven Richards and Steve Blackman appear on the ramp while Beulah McGillicutty introduces them. Once they're inside the ring with Danny Davis a familiar annoying buzzing is heard.Tag-Team Match: The Stevies vs. The Killer Bees The Stevies put up a valiant effort; nearly even scoring an upset when Steven Richards hits a sunsetflip on "Jumping" Jim Brunzell after Steve Blackman nearly took the Bee's head off with a superkick. Blair however made the save and later the pin after connecting with a backbreaker on Richards for the win.Okerlund welcomes us back to the Alfond Arena while he and Lanny discuss the Four Team Tag-Team Elimination Match that Eric Bischoff has set up for Eastern championship's next Big Event; Hotter Than Hell. By winning the Match before the break; The Killer Bees are now the first match entered into the Elimination Match with three more Qualifying Matches to take place over the next three weeks leading to Hotter Than Hell. Poffo says it comes as no surprise that The Stevies have already lost their chance at Championship Gold. Gene reminds us that Hotter Than Hell will presented for free on their home station of TNN The Nashville Network on September 21st.
"Poundcake" by Van Halen then hits as the crowd roars to life when Eastern States Champion Rob Van Dam appears on the ramp and points to his shoulders while the crowd chants "Rob... Van... Dam!" While RVD puts on a brave front; he looks noticeably injured as he makes his way down to the ring. Gene says that this Match shouldn't even be taking place. That Van Dam is in no condition to fight following his assault at the hands of The Blitzkrieg next week. Lanny says that Rob is a talented kid; but tonight he's learning that being a Champion is a man's game. Once he's inside the ring with referee Teddy Long the lights go dark, mist fills the arena; and voodoo drums play. To both Lanny and Gene's surprise; Brickhouse Brown appears on the ramp alone.Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Brickhouse Brown It's obvious from the start that Brickhouse Brown is preying on the injuries of the noticeably slower Rob Van Dam as he concentrates on the Champion's bruised ribs with power moves looking to put him away. "Mr. Wednesday Night" takes one hell of a beating with little offense; but continues to kick out after Brown attempts for a pin following a backbreaker, a vertical suplex; and a spinebuster. Out of nowhere however RVD musters up the strength to connect with a corkscrew kick that sends Brown staggering into the ropes. Rob looks ready to spring into action; but his legs buckle and he falls to his face. This gives Brickhouse Brown enough time to recover and he stomps his prone opponent before lifting to him to his feet and signals for Papa Shango's inverted shoulderbreaker. Just then Brown is startled out of his skin when "Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein hits and The Blitzkrieg storms down the ramp followed by The Baron Von Raschke.Inside the ring Brown drops RVD and looks like a deer caught in headlights as The Blitzkrieg steps over the ropes and lays Shango's lackey out with a big boot! "Mangler's Monster" then picks Brickhouse Brown up into the air and tosses him from the ring as The Baron Von Raschke gets on the mic! The Baron says he and The Blitzkrieg are very pleased with the way Brickhouse Brown has destroyed their arch-nemesis RVD; but should they allow Brown the victory here; he'd get a Title Shot. And the only person who deserves one is The Republic of Germany's greatest, most deadly desciple; The Blitzkrieg!! While Von Raschke is busy ranting and raving; Teddy Long has pulled Rob Van Dam out of the ring and helps him make an escape up the ramp. When Eastern Championship returns from break we're back stage with a (very) flambouyantly dressed man who tells us his name is Michele Starr. He says that Eastern Championship was in need; dire need of a backstage interviewer. And that when that Prince of Men Eric Bischoff realized this he traveled far and wide in search of the most fabulous, provocative and downright professional man in the field today. So it was only natural he chose the one, the only; and certainly the prettiest man for the position. You've guessed right. He found "Gorgeous" Michele Starr. And tonight making his debut he'll be talking to "The Savior of Sea Isle City, New Jersey; Steve Corino. He then tells Steve Corino that he knows Steve is relatively new here at Eastern Championship Wrestling and asks him why he has demanded this rematch with "The Maniac" Matt Borne? Did it feel good lying on his back under the much bigger, much stronger; more virile man?
Steve Corino doesn't seem like he knows how to respond but after a few seconds shakes it off. He then says that look; when he came here to Eastern Championship back in April he was as green as they come. He hadn't wrestled many matches. And that even now in August he's still a rookie. An up and comer. But back in May? In May he had a match with Matt Borne. And Steve knows in this business you aren't just handed respect by your opponents. You earn it. But what Borne does in the ring? What he did to Corino back in May by throwing him into the top turnbuckle? A move that should be illegal by the way. Well what he did was uncalled for. Steve can still feel the pain from that bump and while he may still be a rookie; Corino is confident that tonight he can inflict a little of that pain back. On "The Maniac."
Michele Star then thanks Corino for his time and that he should stick with wearing yellow because he looks soo good in it.
We're then taken back to ringside where Gene says that this new Michele Starr guy seems a bit queer to him. Lanny assures Okerlund that nothing ever get by him as "Fire" by Scooter plays and Steve Corino makes his way down to the ring.Match: Steve Corino vs. Matt Borne S.D. Jones officiates in this bout that sees Steve Corino fair better than in his first encounter with "Maniac" Matt Borne; getting a near fall following first a flying clothesline off the top and then later with an impressive scoopslam the smaller grappler delivers to Borne. Once again Matt Borne is too much for Corino however and the disrespect he directs toward Corino is obvious throughout the match which he dominates at several points before ending it by scooping Steve Corino up into the air and taunting him before slamming him once again onto the top turnbuckle for the pin. After the match Matt Borne holds out his hand to help Steve Corino out and when the hesitant rookie finally accepts it; he hammers him in the face with a hard right.Gene is definitely not a fan of Matt Borne's unsportsmanlike conduct when we return from break. He then informs us that next week Eastern Championship will be live from The Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, New Jersey where Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage will defend his Title against "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude in a huge Main Event. He then reminds those Fans who can't be there live; that as always they can catch all the action on Eastern Championship Wrestling's home channel right here on TNN The Nashville Network. He and Lanny then hype the next match which will be the Eastern Championship debut of Big Bad John. They talk about Ronnie Garvin's ongoing feud with "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho and how after Jericho was seemingly injured at the hands of Nailz; he brought in Big Bad John to watch his back for Ronnie Garvin.Match: Ronnie Garvin. vs. Big Bad John Referee Danny Davis has trouble with Chris Jericho who is at ringside early on as he is resistant on leaving the ring and argues with both Ronnie Garvin and Davis. Once "The Loud-Mouth" leaves the match begins and Garvin looks to lock up with Big Bad John. John isn't one for formalities however and clocks Garvin in the face. An all-out brawl erupts wherein Ronnie holds his own against the much bigger man for a while before Big Bad John hammers him to the ground with a monster of a clothesline. Big Bad begins putting the boots to "The Rugged One" who looks like he's finished until Garvin takes the big man down by surprise with a toehold and armdrag combo before locking in the figure four leglock! Big Bad John screams in pain but the wiley Chris Jericho reaches in and grabbing his buddy's hand pulls John toward the ropes. A battered Garvin complains but Davis didn't see it and Big Bad John takes the opportunity to blindside Ronnie with a sucker punch that busts Garvin open. He then proceeds to beat Ronnie into the corner and hoisting him into the air hits a gorilla press slam that gets Big Bad John the win. After the macth Jericho taunts the defeated Garvin for a while and kicks him a bit.
Gene finds this whole situation despicable and says that he doesn't care if Chris Jericho has a "Doctor's Note." That punk kid isn't injured. Lanny disagrees and says that like him Doctors are geniuses and he doubts Chris Jericho could fool one to get that note. He's legitimately hurt and Garvin should respect that.Eastern Championship then cuts to a backstage segment with "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango; in which he says that he Papa Shango and The Dark Circle doesn't care who the World Champion is. That on Septemeber 21st at Hotter Than Hell his Dark Lord will be on-hand personally to oversee the destruction of not only the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; but the very foundations of Eastern Championship itself. And that the world had better be prepared for when he Papa Shango drags the Eastern Heavyweight Championship and all those in attendance down home to hell! And that the Champion should beware because Papa Shango in a Steel Cage Match can only mean one thing and one thing alone. Hell In a Cell!! Mwahahaha!!!Okerlund says that whethere Papa Shango is facing Randy Savage or Rick Rude that night; that one thing is for certain. It's going to be on hell of a match. Lanny thinks Gene is a tit and Papa Shango is just a bit overly dramatic.Match: Rockin' Robin vs. Leilani Kai Rockin' Robin does her best but this is essentially a squash match in which the Women's Champ Leilani Kai ends it with a body avalanche in the corner followed by a diving splash from the top that gets her the three from ref Teddy Long. Gene and Lanny welcome the fans back from break before recapping the Events so far tonight with heavy enphasis on what transpired between Rob Van Dam and The Blitzkrieg as well as Ronnie Garvin and Chris Jericho's ongoing feud. They then hype the next Match in which Arn Anderson's protegee "Superstar" Scott Taylor is setn to take on "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango; which Lanny says will; not should; prove to be a massacre.
"Paradise City" by Guns 'N Roses then hits as a charged up Scott Taylor makes his way down to the ring accompanied by that troublemaker (according to Lannyy) Arn Anderson. Once Taylor is in the ring being instructed by referee S.D. Jones the lights go dark as mist fills the arena for the second time tonight. When the voodoo drums begin to play Papa Shango appears on the ramp. Arn Anderson is noticeably onguard and looking around for Brickhouse Brown who for once isn't with Shango.Match: Scott Taylor vs. Papa Shango Scott Taylor does his best and gets in a good bit of offense including a flying crossbody off the top that gets him a two count on Papa Shango. It's obvious from start to finish however that he's outmatched by his much bigger opponent who puts him away with the inverted shoulderbreaker. After making the pin however Papa Shango goes into his theatrics and looks to be setting Taylor up for a second Voodoo Breaker when Arn Anderson steps into the ring and chases "The Soul Stealer" off after a brief scuffle.
Arn then begins checking on Scott who seems to be alright when suddenly The Bill Conti Overture hits. Anderson looks up to see Jerry "The King" Lawler stroll out onto the ramp with a microphone in his hand as the fans rainn down a chorus of boos.Lawler looks annoyed and tells Arn to hear him out. He then says how he's spent the past several weeks trying to apologize to "The Enforcer." That back when he and several other members of the ECW roster attacked Anderson and Savage they must've been under some sort of voodoo hypnosis from Papa Shango. That he doesn't remember the attack. And had no grudge against Arn prior to it. That he has no idea why he did what he did. And he's tried to make ol' AA realize this fact. He even offered to be in his corner during his #1 contender's Match with Papa Shango. A match Arn Anderson lost. Why? Because he went with an inexperienced rookie like Scott Taylor instead of "The King." No offense to Scott. And that losing that match. Against Papa Shango. It was Anderson's fault. For being as stubborn and unforgiving as these fans. Jerry then gestures to the fans.
Arn Anderson eyeballs Jerry before walking over to the ropes and getting the mic from Beulah. He then returns to the center of the ring and says that Jerry Lawler is right. He did lose his #1 contender's Match with Papa Shango. Same as Lawler did back in May. Only difference is; he isn't crying about it. He lost on his own terms. Which is the way he's always fought. On his own. He didn't need help against Papa Shango that night. He asked Scott Taylor to watch his back because of The Dark Circle. But he didnd't NEED anybody. And he certainly didn't need a backstabbing turncoat like "The King." Jerry seems frustrated by this and sighs before telling Arn he's sorry to hear that. Just then Brian Lawler storms the ring from behind and clubs Arn Anderson! Arn tries to regain his footing; but Brian scoops "The Enforcer"s legs out from under him and begins putting the boots to him. At the same time Jerry Lawler rushes down to the ring and joins in! Both Lawlers puts the boots to AA and then Jerry tells him that he should've accepted his apology before they both leave the ring as the fans hiss and boo them more furiously than ever.As Eastern Championship returns Okerlund says that Jerry Lawler has proven himself a coward here tonight. That he didn't believe he was allied with Papa Shango in the past; but now he isn't sure what "The King" is capable of. Lanny says Arn Anderson definitely brought this down on himself and that if anyone is to blame for this attack; it was "The Enforcer." They then talk about "Ravishing" Rick Rude's recent win over "Macho Man" Randy Savage and hoe Papa Shango seemingly gave Rude an unwelcome assist. Poffo says he wouldn't be surprised if "Mr. Conspiracy Theory" Gene Okerlund was now convinced Rude was working for The Dark Circle as well. Just then Rick Rude's Strip Theme hits and he comes down to the ring where he gets the microphone from Beulah.Rick Rude starts by apologizing to the "Women" here in Maine that he won't need any help removing his robe tonight. But maybe in the future if they'd apply their makeup a little better; or at all; he'd think about it. He then says that in the same vein that he doesn't need help removing his robe; he also didn't need any help from that Witch Papa Shango defeating "Macho Man" Randy Savage two weeks ago either. And further more won't need any help stripping Savage of his Title next week in Essex Junction, Vermont. He then says that he has some advice for Papa Shango. And that is he should invest in a new gimmick because last he checked; Witches were women. And while "The Soul Stealer" may fight like a girl; he doubts Papa Shango is looking to be mistaken for one.
Just then the Canadian National Anthem plays as "Iron" Mike Sharpe comes out on stage proudly waving the Canadian flag.Main Event: Rick Rude vs. Mike Sharpe Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe puts up a good fight and gives Rick Rude a sound beating as they fight back and forth. When Sharpe looks to put "The Ravishing One" away with his running forearm smash however; Rick ducks under it and counters with The Rude Awakening for the three from Davis.
Lights Fade.

08/31/94 - The Champlain Valley Expo Essex Junction, VTMean Gene welcomes the Wrestling Fans to another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestlingl tonight hosted live from The Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, Vermont. Lanny then says that to be correct; the show is coming to you from a glorified shack. Which he should've expected coming to Vermont. Okerlund then introduces "The Genius" Lanny Poffo before they run through tonight's card which will include the second qualifying match for the Four-Team Tag-Team Elimination Match at Hotter Than Hell in which Deep South will face off against The Hughes Brothers. Also the Eastern States Champ "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam is expected to be in action; though Gene is leery if he'll make it her tonight as he has been fighting injured the last several weeks. Poffo is sure RVD will be here; because in his words; he's am idiot. # 1 contender Papa Shango will also see action tonight against one-half of the Tag-Team Champs Destruction Inc.; but the real news is tonight's Main Event. For tonight "Ravishing" Rick Rude will do battle with Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage for with the Title on the line!! Lanny says he's sure that the 1+1=2; the # 2 contender Papa Shango will keeping a close eye on that Match tonight; as the winner will face him at ECW's second Big Event; Hotter Than Hell. Gene then tells us that he's receiving word from ECW's interviewer Michele Starr that "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho has arrived in the building and sends us to the back. There we see ECW's new backstage interviewer Michele Starr dressed as flambouyantly as ever. He says that he's to interview a man who gives him butterflies; "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho. He just loves a man with a big mouth. The door behind him then opens and Chris Jericho enters the building in street clothes wearing his neckbrace. \Michele approaches him as Big Bad John enters with some bags behind Jericho. Only he doesn't make it into the building! Ronnie Garvin rushes in and slams John's arm in the door! We here Big Bad scream as Garvin continues to slam his arm in the door; until finally the big man frees himself and Ronnie is able to shut the door. Which he then chains shut!Garvin looks pissed as he turns his attentions to Chris Jericho and Michele Starr lets out a shrill scream as Ronnie charges Chris Jericho and throws him against the wall. He begins pummeling on Chris until Jericho manages to weasel his way free and grabbing Starr; hurls him onto Garvin. Jericho then hightails it out of there while Ronnie tosses Michele aside and pursues his prey down the hallway.
Mean Gene finds this attack on Jericho very amusing when we return to ringside; and Lanny tells Gene he's horrible for participating in schadenfreude. Okerlund tells him he doesn't even know what that means. Lanny isn't surprised Gene's "pinhead" is lacking knowledge and tells him to go ask The Blitzkrieg.
Beulah McGillicutty then introduces the competitors for the first match of the night.Luna Vachon is out first with her manager The Lady Alexandra. Once they're inside arguing with referee Danny Davis; "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leppard plays marking the return to ECW of Tiffany. Poffo is now excited and says that at least some could came from going to Vermont and that Tiffany is one spicy senorita. Gene says Lanny had better not let Rockin' Robin hear that. Lanny then tells Gene that he and Robin are though; that he isn't one to associate with losers; and that she should change her name to Rockin' Stevie.Match: Luna Vachon vs. Tiffany Tiffany keeps Luna Vachon on her feet with her high-flying offense, even nearly scoring the Pinfall after a missile dropkick from the top. Luna Vachon though over powers her and shows Tiffany that she isn't the only one of them who can fly when she comes crashing down on her with the Lunasault for the win.Gene welcomes us back before he and Lanny talk a bit about the ongoing feud between "The Long Island" Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho and "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin. Lanny wonders if Big Bad John will be able to compete after that uncalled for, cowardly assault by Garvin before the break. He soon gets his answe when "Thunderkiss '65" by White Zombie hits and Chris Jericho appears on the ramp with Big Bad John. They enter the ring and Jericho takes the mic from Beulah and tells the fans how Ronnie Garvin is a coward. A coward who fears getting into the ring with Big Bad John again after the beating he was handed last week. He says that Garvin intended to injure John so that their Match at Hotter Than Hell would be cancelled. But Ronnie is about to see how badly he failed. Referee Teddy Long orders then orders Jericho out of the ring while an annoying buzzing is heard.Match: Jim Brunzell vs. Big Bad John Big Bad John is favoring his arm that got caught in the door earlier and "Jumping" Jim Brunzell looks to take full advantage of it. He concentrates on John's injured wing, dropping kicking it; and hitting a rolling cross armbreaker on him that has Big Bad screaming in pain. John refuses to stay down however or quit. He still has three good arms thanks to the often interfering Jericho and hits several power moves that nearly put The Killer Bee down for the count. In the end however Big Bad John really only needed one good arm to take Jim Brunzell's head off with a running clothesline that gets him the win. When Eastern Championship returns to air "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula hits as Eric Bischoff swaggers down the ramp. Gene isn't pleased "the shill" is here. And Lanny tells him not to forget who signs his paychecks. Okerlund claims he can get a job anywhere. Poffo says he heard something about middle-aged bald guys being all the rage right now.
Inside the ring Beulah hands Eric Bischoff the microphone. He thanks everyone for coming out here in Essex Junction, Vermont and all the folks watching at home on TNN. He then talks about Hotter Than Hell and how he's been in charge of ECW for nine months now. He says that he's proud to say he's put together the greatest wrestling show on Wednesday Night; and on any other night for that matter. And that on September 21st; after those long, action packed nine months; ECW will be giving birth to an amazing Big Event; Hotter Than Hell; his baby. And that he hopes we all tune in. No. He knows we will. He then announces that at Hotter Than Hell he will be making a special announcement regarding Eastern Championship Wrestling's one year anniversary and he promises it'll be a big one.
He then says of course singing Eric Bischoff in the ring means business. And today's business is in regard to new Eastern Championship T-shirts! Okerlund coughs "Shill." Eric then signals to the ramp and some girls come out modeling the new shirt designs. Eric Bischoff then tells the folks at home that he realizes while ECW is watched across the country; the fans outside the East Coast haven't been able to obtain the T-shirts. That is... until now. He then talks about 1-800-BUYECW. A hotline where callers can order not only their entire back catalog of T-Shirts; but the first two series of Eastern Championship action figures as well!
Bischoff then says he has one more surprise in store for us and reaching into his back pocket; he produces; an ECW hat!!Gene calls him a shill again as Eric exits the ring and heads to the back. Once he's gone; the Kaientai Theme is heard and Mr. Fuji appears leading Yoshihiro Tajiri down to the ring. Tajiri stalks about the ring as Irish Folk Music is heard and "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady arrives on the ramp. He throws gold coins to the fans from his cauldron; and as has been the normal or late; some are thrown back at him.Match: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Erin O'Grady Referee S.D. Jones has trouble keeping up in this fast paced match full of high spots and nearfalls. Erin O'Grady gives as good as he gets until Yoshihiro Tajiri catches him in The Tarantula and holds the move right up until the point of disqualification. From there he is in total control of the match and punshes "The Leprechaun" before hitting a bulldog which he follows up with a springboard moonsault for the win.Gene welcomes us back from break and he and Lanny rundown the show so far. They then remind the fans that next week Eastern Championship will be coming to you live from The Barre Municipal Audtiorium in Barre, Vermont and that while tickets for that show are sold out; the folks at home can tune in as usual right here on TNN The Nashville Network; home of Eastern Championship Wrestling. They then talk about the next match which is the second of four qualifying rounds for the Four-Team Tag-Team Elimination Match for the Eastern Tag-Team Championships at Hotter Than Hell. "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen then sounds as "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch appears on the ramp waving his cowboy hat while his Tag-Team partner The Junk Yard Dog barks at the fans and rattles the chain around his neck. They enter the ring with Danny Davis whom JYD barks at a bit before Murdoch calms him down. "Jailhouse Rock" by the Blues Brothers then plays as Devon and Spike Hughes appear on the ramp in suits and fedoras.
Devon: Testify!Tag-Team Match: Deep South vs. The Hughes Brothers Dick Murdoch starts things out with the relatively inexperienced Spike Hughes; whom he puts a pounding to. After several minutes of abuse with little offense to his credit, Spike tags in Devon Hughes. Devon immediately comes in swinging and drives Dick into the ropes and after a whip nails his spinning elbow on "Captain Redneck." Murdoch gives young Devon a run for his money; but following a nearfall from a spinebuster; Dick looks to make the tag. The match explodes as Junk Yard Dog and Devon Hughes collide in the middle of the ring and the two men tear one another apart. Eventually however The Dog gets the drop on Devon when Hughes ducks to early for a back body drop and receives a boot to the face from JYD. Junkyard doesn't let up and wracks Devon with a massive headbutt. When Spike Hughes rushes into the ring to make the save; he receives the same and goes tumbling back over the ropes and out of the ring. From there Junk Yard Dog scoops up big Devon Hughes for a Thump! front powerslam that puts the Hughes Brother away for the three. We are then taken to the back where Tag-Team Champions Destruction Inc. is standing by with Michele Starr. Mongo Vyle congratulates "those oldtimers" Deep South on their victory; but says that isn't surprising facing such a second rate team as The Hughes Brothers. But that Deep South should be warned; that at Hotter Than Hell they will face Destruction Inc. and on that day they should be prepared to retire. Rhino then gets on the mic and says that it doesn't matter who wins these matches; whether it's Deep South, The Killer Bees, whoever; that on September 21st; Destruction Inc. will destroy them! Both Rhino and Mongo then both growl "Destroy!""Poundcake" by Van Halen is playing and Rob Van Dam is on the ramp getting the fans to chant his name. It'sn obvious that even doing this is causing him physical pain while Beulah McGillicutty introduces him.
Gene says that this is sickening and that Rob Van Dam shouldn't even be competing tonight. He should be home in bed. Lanny says that he could be; but as Poffo himself said early; RVD is an idiot. Brickhouse Brown demanded a rematch saying he had Van Dam dead to rights beat last week before The Blitzkrieg interfered. And is was Rob Van Dam; not Eric Bischoff; who agreed to the match. Bischoff wants him healthy at Hotter Than Hell obviously. There's money to be made. But RVD has more guts than brains and Lanny is convinced he'll be spilling both here tonight.
Once RVD is in the ring with Teddy Long who looks to be trying to convince him not to compete; the arena goes dark and fills with mist while voodoo drums play. On the ramp Brickhouse Brown appears. With Papa Shango! Lanny and Gene talk about how Brickhouse Brown and Rob Van Dam have squared off several times here at Eastern Championship; but that Brown has been unable to wrest the Title from "Mr. Wednesday Night." Teddy Long refuses to allow Papa Shango into the ring at all. Even when it appears "The Soul Stealer" is threatening the offical when he makes a throat slashing gesture while his eyes bug from his head.Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Brickhouse Brown Rob Van Dam is holding his ribs through most of the match and winces in pain even when he locks up with Brickhouse Brown. Papa Shango directs the action from the outside while Brickhouse Brown mercilessly stomps and punches RVD; before nailing him with a running powerbomb. Van Dam only just kicks out. Brown is grinning ear to ear when he lifts RVD and whips him across the ring. On the return he goes for the big boot; but Rob ducks under it, bounces off the ropes and collding with Brown connects with a shoulder block that seems to take the wind out of the Eastern States Champion. Climbing on top of Brown RVD punches him a bit before getting weakly to his feet and runs to the ropes; looking for a springboard moonsault. He lands it. Right on Brown's legs. "Mr. Wednesday Night" seems to have passed out from the pain as Brickhouse Brown looks to Papa Shango who signals for the inverted Voodoo shoulderbreaker. Brown hits it and makes the cover for the win. With this Papa Shango gets in the ring and holds Brickhouse Brown's hand high in victory."Ich tu der weh" blasts the arena and The Baron Von Raschke appears with the gigantic Blitzkrieg. He tells Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown to celebrate while they can. For an Eastern States Title Match they shall have. But it won't be against "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam. Because RVD won't be walking, talking; or breathing after Hotter Than Hell. That "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg will be the rightful Champion; bringing the Title and the prestige back to The Republic of Germany. And if Papa Shango decides to interfere; he shall suffer the same fate as that other African on the roster. Doink the Clown's pet baboon. When The Baron himself unleashes The Brain Claw on Shango!
Papa Shango is furious and goes into full theatrics as Eastern Championship goes to break.COMMERCIAL BREAK Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown are still pacing the ring when Eastern Championship returns. They are soon joined by official S.D. Jones. Soon "Debonaire" by Dope hits. Gene and Lanny are discussing the events before break and Gene hopes Rob Van Dam is okay. Lanny just suggests any doctor he sees checks his mind. Because the "dude" is crazy. They both agree that they don't know who to back in a feud between The Dark Circle and The Baron and his monster. Lanny suggests they just sit back, eat pop corn; and hope they tear each other apart.
"Debonaire" by Dope then hits as Rhino emerges from the back. His Tag-Team partner Mongo Vyle is with him and they have the Tag-Team Titles draped over their shoulders. They storm down to the ring, slide in; and clear out The Dark Circle before posing for the fans with the belts.Match: Rhino vs. Papa Shango This is a battle between two very big powerful men and referee S.D. Jones is smart to keep clear of them as they fly at each other at the start of the match. The two men are very evenly matched and trade power move after power move; Rhino nailing Papa Shango with a German Suplex twice, the second with a bridge. His nearest fall however comes when he runs up the ringpost and turning about brings "The Soul Stealer" down with a flying clothesline off the top. Papa Shango is no slouch either and gets near falls after a body avalanche, a big boot; and a DDT; the last of which he hits to counter The Gore. And Rhino stuns the audience when he kicks out of that DDT just before the three. Toward the end of the Match Rhino catches Shango in a bearhug and he looks to be in real trouble. When Brickhouse Brown jumps up on the mat; he catches the anger of Mongo Vyle who chases him up the ramp and into the back. He managed to distract Jones just enough however for "The Soul Stealer" to jab his thumbs into Rhino's eyes; getting "The Man-Beast" to release the hold and walk right in the inverted Voodoo shoulderbreaker. Going for the cover Papa Shango picks up the win. After the Match Arn Anderson comes out to the ring with Scott Taylor and tells everyone about a no good chicken shit from Tennessee that they may have heard of. He fancies calling himself "The King;" but he's just a fool. A clown who messed with the wrong man last week. That man being "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. He then calls out Jerry Lawler and his son Brian to a Match with him and Scott Taylor. And that if he's not completely yellow he'll get his ass out to the ring next week and give ol' AA an answer.Mean Gene and Lanny welcome us back from our last commercial break. They then begin talking about the history between Randy Savage and Rick Rude and their rivalry which took root in Memphis in the 80s. They remind us that it was "The Ravishing One" who faced off against "Macho Man" for the Title in the final round for the Eastern Heavyweight Title. They talk about how in recent weeks Rude has seemingly been trying to incite "The Macho Man's" ire by flirting with Debbie Combs ever since the night Savage himself attacked Rude in retaliation for the beatdown he and Arn Anderson suffered at the hands of almost half the roster; including "The Ravishing One." They then recap how Rick Rude won this Title shot back on August 10th's broadcast with some unwelcome assistance from "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango when he pinned Randy Savage following a Rude Awakening.
Pomp and Circumstance then hits and "Macho Man" Randy Savage emerges from the back looking ready to fight. He has the Eastern Heavyweight Championship around his waist and "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs at his side. Once in the ring Savage climbs the turnbuckle and poses with the belt before handing it over to Danny Davis.
Rick Rude's strip theme then hits and Rick comes swaggering from the back and makes his way down the ramp. He hops inside and he locks eyes with "Macho Man" whil Davis raises the Title above his head. Rick Rude turns his back to Randy and asks Debbie Combs if she'd like to remove his robe! Randy isn't having it and charges across the ring; stomping his boot through Rude's back. Lanny says he wouldn't be surprised if Rick could taste rubber right now.Main Event Heavyweight Title Match: Randy Savage vs. Rick Rude Davis calls for the bell and starts the Match while Randy grabs the top rope and begins putting the boots to Rude before the challenger escapes to the outside. Inside the ring "Macho Man" mocks Rude by doing Rick's signature dance for the crowd before turning to Combs and plants one on her; giving he a "Macho Awakening." Randy then slaps Comb's ass and tells her to get out of the ring. Rick is annoyed by the Champ's antics and throws off his robe before climbing up on the apron. Randy charges Rude again, but Rick hits him with a shoulder thrust before using the top rope to spring himself up over Savage and catch him in a sunset flip! He gets a two count before Randy kicks out hard. The two men immediately pop back up and begin trading punches before Savage nails Rude with a clothesline sending him stumbling back into the ropes. Following his opponent in, Randy whips Rick across the ring and connects with a jumping high knee that sends Rude crashing to the floor. Grabbing Rude up off the floor Randy begins hammering his back and neck. He looks like he's going for the pildriver when Rick comes alive and battles out with a couple elbows. The last catching Randy in the eye. When Savage stumbles around Rick grabs him by the head and delivers a facebuster over his knee to the Champ before running him face first into the turnbuckle. Still holding Savage by the head; Rude climbs up onto the top where he sits for a second before swinging off for a Tornado DDT. Randy however counters it and grabbing Rick slams him down onto the mat before falling back into the corner where he catches his breath. Rick Rude meanwhile turns himself over and begins crawls away; but Randy sees him and walking over grabs "The Ravishing One" by the leg. He then hits a jumping knee drop to the back of Rude's knee; before getting up and hitting an elbowdrop to the back of Rude. Turning his opponent over Savage goes for the pin; but only gets a two count. Picking Rick up off the mat, Randy Irish whips him across the ring. On the rebound however Rude leapsfrogs over Randy's head; and hits the ropes behind the Champ. On his way back Rude leaps into the air and hits him with a flying crossbody press. Hooking Savage's leg he goes for the pin; but only gets a two before Savage counters it by rolling Rude up in an inside cradle! 1...2.... Rick kicks out! 3!! Randy is back on his feet first, but Rude while still on one knee catches the Champ with a punch to the gut. He gets to his feet and begins hammering on the head of Savage; but soon Randy is returning fire blow for blow. The two competitors continue hammering on one another until Randy drives Rude back into the ropes and Randy leaps over them to hit a hair-pull hangman on Rude. Rick staggers backward before falling flat on his back. On the outside Randy signals for the flying elbow drop to the crowd. He then proceeds to climb up the turnbuckle on the outside. Getting in position he leaps into the air; and comes crashing down with nobody home as Rude rolls out of the way! Back first on his knees, Rick wobbly gets to his feet before stomping on the downed Champ. He then lifts Randy to his feet and sets him up for the Rude Awakening. Just as he's about to hit it however; Randy reverses it into a backslide! He gets a two count on Rick; who hops up and begins putting the boots to Savage. He picks Randy up and begins hammering on him until Randy out of nowhere nails an inverted atomic drop on Rude. He falls to his knees and makes the cover; but Rick kicks out at two. Both men look tired as they struggle back to their feet. Rude and Savage size each other up before they lock up. The two men press for advantage; but when it looks like Randy is going to overpower him; Rude jabs him in the eye with his thumb. Randy stumbles back a bit as the lights go dark and mist fills the arena. Voodoo drums play as Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown appear on the ramp. Randy Savage has recovered and now is pointing to the ramp accusing Rick Rude of siding with The Dark Circle. Rude seems to be denying it when Shango and Brown charge the ring and jump into action. Papa Shango begins hammering on Savage while Brickhouse goes after Rude. The four men battle each other around the ring and Danny Davis calls for the bell declaring the Match a No-Contest. Although both Rude and Savage were caught offguard at first; the two men rally back and drive The Dark Circle from the ring. Together Savage and Rude argue with Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown as the dark duo back their way up the ramp.
Lights Fade.
