PHOENIX, AZ
BROADCAST ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA ON
Before the opening, we see still photographs of the Steel Cage match that took place last Sunday in Tampa, including shots of the post-match brawl between Cactus Jack and Abdullah.
SCOTT HUDSON stands at ringside, and welcomes his co-host...
THE HONKY TONK MAN
SCOTT welcomes the fans to the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona for another edition of WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING!
HUDSON and HONKY talk about the Tangle in Tampa card that took place last Sunday night, which was televised live on ESPN.
SCOTT says that the night ended on a high note, with Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake emerging victorious over Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher in the Cage match! And what a shock it was, seeing Abdullah and Jack turn on each other afterwards!
HONKY says that he was talking with Skandor Akbar before the show, and Akbar told him that he’s going to be doing some remodeling with Devastation, Inc, to make the group even stronger.
SCOTT says that February is Championship month on World Class Championship Wrestling. This week’s main event, while not a title match, will see the Beverly Brothers and the Fantastics square off, with the winning team earning a shot at the Samoan Swat Team and the World Tag Team Titles. That title match will take place on the February 26 show, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Next week, World Champion Shawn Michaels will defend the World Title against Abdullah the Butcher, and the following week, February 19, Kevin Von Erich defends the American Title against Curt Hennig!
HONKY says that after next week’s show, Devastation Inc will control the World Tag Team AND the World Heavyweight Titles!
HUDSON and HONKY are joined at ringside by SKANDOR AKBAR, ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER and World Tag Team Champions THE SAMOAN SWAT TEAM.
SCOTT talks about the match last Sunday, and says that we saw the footage at the top of the hour, Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake were victorious.
AKBAR says that Cactus Jack let him down, because of Jack’s incompetence, those two pretty boys were able to leave the Cage victorious. As a result, Cactus Jack has been FIRED from Devastation Inc! He tells them not to worry, he still controls the World Tag Team Titles, and next week, Abdullah the Butcher will bring the World Title to Devastation Inc.
SKANDOR continues, saying that he is in negotiations with several top wrestlers, and Devastation Inc will soon be stronger than ever!
AKBAR has a final parting message for Shawn Michaels. He says that Michaels may have won the battle in Tampa, but the war is FAR from over!
In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors in the first match.
“MR. PERFECT” CURT HENNIG v. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – The youngster is no match for Mr. Perfect, and Hennig puts Daniels away with the Perfect-Plex at 3:49.

SCOTT HUDSON says that this week, we have the debut of THE BROTHER LOVE SHOW.
HONKY TONK says that Scott could learn a thing or two from Brother Love, who always tells it like it is, unlike Hudson, who he says wouldn’t know the truth if slapped him across the face!
SCOTT ignores Honky’s comments and sends us to the set of the BROTHER LOVE SHOW.
BROTHER LOVE welcomes the fans to the very first edition of The Brother Love Show. He has come to World Class Championship Wrestling to spread the word of LOVE. His guest this week is the American Champion, Kevin Von Erich.
VON ERICH makes his way out.
BROTHER LOVE says Kevin was involved in a big 6-man tag team match in Tampa last Sunday night.
We see footage of the Von Erich/Fantastics v. Hennig/Beverly Bros. match.
BROTHER LOVE says that, from watching that footage, he can see that Kevin has brought shame to the Von Erich name. All Kevin did throughout the match was cheat, he should be ashamed of himself!
KEVIN starts to respond, but Brother Love pulls the mic away from him.
BROTHER LOVE asks if it’s true that Kevin has been ducking Curt Hennig, that he refuses to give Hennig a shot at the American Title?
KEVIN again tries to respond, but once again, Brother Love snatches the mic away before Kevin can say anything.
BROTHER LOVE says he knows what Kevin is going to say, he’s going to lie to him, and to all these people, and say that he’s not ducking Hennig, but the people know the truth, they know that Von Erich is SCARED of Curt Hennig, Kevin knows that if he gives Curt a match, Kevin will be the FORMER American Champion!
KEVIN grabs the mic out of Brother Love’s hand. He says that he isn’t scared of Curt Hennig, and says that he’s got a match with Hennig on February 19, and he’s going to walk out of that match the same way he’ll walk in . . . as the American Champion!
KEVIN then slams the mic back into Brother Love’s chest, and walks off the set.
BROTHER LOVE wraps things up, and tells the fans that on February 19, they’ll finally have an American Champion they can look up to, someone the kids out there can idolize . . . “MR. PERFECT” CURT HENNIG!
In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the next match.
ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. VIRGIL – Abdullah simply destroys Virgil! Abby pounds his opponent into the mat, and uses the fork to open up a cut on Virgil’s head. Abdullah then hits the Butcher’s Axe elbowdrop, leading to the pinfall at 2:01.
HUDSON says that Shawn Michaels will have his work cut out for him when he defends the World Title against Abby next week, right here on TV!

In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the next match.
LEX LUGER v. BRUISER BEDLAM – Bedlam gets some offence in, and even gets a very close nearfall on Luger, but in the end, Luger gets Bruiser up in the Torture Rack for the submission at 3:58.
HUDSON says that Todd Pettengill is standing by with Lord Alfred Hayes, Chris Adams and Mr. Hughes.
TODD PETTENGILL interviews CHRIS ADAMS, LORD ALFRED HAYES and MR. HUGHES.
TODD talks about recent events involving Adams and Hughes. They teamed up two weeks ago on TV for a match with Lex Luger and American Champion Kevin Von Erich.
Von Erich and Luger eventually gain the upper hand and look to be on their way to victory . . . until CURT HENNIG makes his way down the aisle to ringside.
Hennig gets Kevin Von Erich’s attention, and the two exchange words. This gives Chris Adams the opportunity to shake off the cobwebs, and he waits for Kevin to turn around.
When Von Erich turns his attention away from Hennig and back to the match, Adams catches him in the chin with a SUPERKICK!
Von Erich is out like a light, and Adams covers him while Hennig stands at ringside and laughs.
TODD says that if Curt Hennig hadn’t come out, things might have turned out differently.
ADAMS says that Curt Hennig had nothing to do with that, they would have won no matter what, because they were the superior team!
TODD then talks about the comments made by Hayes and Adams last Sunday night at Tangle in Tampa, regarding the World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels.
HAYES calls Michaels a paper Champion, saying that he ducks the true top contenders, and instead, the Championship Committee feeds him undeserving brutes like Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher, to ensure that Michaels remains Champion.
ADAMS says that with the long hair and earrings, Michaels looks more like a crossdresser than a wrestler! He then says that he’s noticed that Michaels has started ripping him off, using HIS Superkick to win some of his matches. Adams says that Michaels had better stop using the Superkick, or he’s is going to kick HBK’s teeth right down his throat!
TODD asks about Mr. Hughes’ match with Luger last Sunday, in which Luger won by submission.
HAYES says that Luger got lucky, and that’s all he’s going to say about that.
TODD says Adams will be in action next, and sends us back to SCOTT and HONKY at ringside.
In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the next match.
CHRIS ADAMS (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes) v. JIM POWERS – Adams wears Powers down, and then puts him away with the Superkick at 5:02.
After the bell, Adams takes the house mic from Marc Lawrence, and tells Shawn Michaels, that’s how you do it!
Adams decides he’s not done, and attacks Powers from behind as Jim stumbles to his feet. Adams clobbers him with a clothesline that puts Powers right back down on the mat. Adams then tosses Powers out to the floor, and follows him out.
On the arena floor, Adams pulls Powers up . . . AND NAILS HIM WITH A BRAINBUSTER ON THE ARENA FLOOR!!!
As medical personnel come out and check on Jim Powers, Adams and Hughes join Hudson and Honky.
HUDSON asks Adams why he did what he did.
ADAMS, laughing, replies that sometimes people need a little reminder of what can happen when they get in the ring with Chris Adams!
At ringside, Jim Powers is being loaded onto a stretcher.
Chris Adams leaves the broadcast area, and goes back over to ringside. Adams shoves several of the medical people aside . . . AND DUMPS POWERS OFF THE STRETCHER!!!
Adams and Hayes make their way back to the locker room as we go to a commercial break.

SCOTT says that it was a disgusting display. Scott then talks about Chris Adams’ comments about Shawn Michaels, and says that the World Champion will be here next week to respond.
CURT HENNIG comes out and joins Hudson and Honky on commentary for the next match, featuring American Champion Kevin Von Erich.
In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the next match.
NON-TITLE MATCH:
KEVIN VON ERICH v. THE MASKED TERRORIST – Von Erich makes short work of his opponent, finishing the masked man off with a flying bodypress for the pinfall at 3:48.
After the match, Hennig stands up and mockingly applauds Von Erich. After Kevin gets his hand raised, he comes over to the broadcast area. Hennig taunts him, saying that Kevin’s title reign will come to an end on February 19.
KEVIN says that we’ll see about that, and heads for the locker room.
HENNIG says Von Erich is a punk, just like all his brothers and his father. He says that his father, Larry the Axe Hennig, wrestled Fritz Von Erich several times back in the day, and beat him every time. He says that the Von Erichs are all losers, and Kevin will be a loser on February 19!
In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the next match.
BAM BAM BIGELOW v. SHINYA HASHIMOTO – Bigelow is a monster, he destroys Hashimoto, who’s no slouch. Bigelow pounds away on Hashimoto, and after delivering a diving headbutt, Bigelow comes off the top rope with a Moonsault, leading to the pinfall at 4:00.
During the match, SKANDOR AKBAR appeared in the aisle and watched the match. He seemed impressed with Bigelow.

Today, they meet again, with the winning team going on to challenge the Samoan Swat Team for the World Tag Team Titles on February 26 in Edmonton.
In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the main event.
THE FANTASTICS v. THE BEVERLY BROTHERS – The two teams put on an exciting, fast-paced match that goes almost the whole 10 minutes.
The Beverly Brothers control most of the early part of the match, the Fantastics get some offence in, but the Beverly’s do a good job of keeping Tommy Rogers in their corner, away from his partner.
Late in the match, the Fantastics bounce back, and in the end, they nail Blake Beverly with the Rocket Launcher, and Fulton pins him at 9:38.
The Fantastics will go on to challenge The Samoan Swat Team for the World Tag Titles on February 26 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!
