Before the opening, we see a clip from Christmas Star Wars ’93, of Abdullah the Butcher helping Cactus Jack bloody Shawn Michaels, until Brutus Beefcake and Kevin Von Erich are able to make the save.

SCOTT welcomes the viewers watching at home to Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan for another action-packed episode of World Class Championship Wrestling!

SCOTT welcomes his co-host...


THE HONKY TONK MAN


SCOTT talks about the last few weeks, and hopes that the fans enjoyed the Year End recap shows that aired on Christmas Day and New Years Day.

HUDSON goes on to talk about Christmas Star Wars ’93, that aired on ESPN on Christmas night. A lot happened on that card, and they’ll cover all of it this week!

HONKY says that clip we saw at the top of the program, of Cactus and Abdullah attacking Shawn Michaels was the greatest thing he’s ever seen! He says the Heartbreak Kid really bugs him, and it was great, seeing Michaels get what he deserves!

HUDSON and HONKY then run down the matches that will take place on today’s show . . . CURT HENNIG will be in action. The new American Heavyweight Champion KEVIN VON ERICH will be on the show. LEX LUGER makes his World Class television debut. MEGUMI KUDO meets LIONESS ASUKA of the CRUSH GIRLS. And in the main event, SCOTT NORTON meets THE TEXAS HANGMAN, JESSE BARR.

SCOTT talks about what has gone down between Norton and Barr. The two men have met a few times on television, and the last time they met, on December 4, Barr took his noose and tried to hang Norton over the top rope. Commissioner Harley Race suspended Barr for his actions, but Norton asked to have him reinstated, so that he could settle the score at Christmas Star Wars.

The match never took place, Hudson says we have footage of what happened prior to the start of the Christmas Star Wars show...


We see SCOTT NORTON getting out of his truck and heading for the entrance to Reunion Arena.

Suddenly, a man dressed in black, wearing a mask, appears out of nowhere, and cracks Norton over the head with a blackjack! The mysterious man looks to be about the same height and build as Jesse Barr, but we can’t see his face due to the black mask.

Norton is out cold on the pavement, and the mysterious assailant disappears into the shadows. Several wrestlers and some members of the ring crew come over to check on Norton, and one of them runs off to call for an ambulance.


After the clip ends, HUDSON and HONKY are joined at ringside by SCOTT NORTON.

NORTON says that he knows it was Jesse Barr behind that attack on Christmas night. He says that Barr sent him to the hospital on Christmas, so today, he’s going to send Barr to the hospital!

Back from the break, HUDSON says that it looks like the Norton – Barr match is going to take place right now, Scott Norton did not want to wait until later in the show, he’s chomping at the bit, and can’t wait to get his hands on Jesse Barr!


SCOTT NORTON v. “TEXAS HANGMAN” JESSE BARR – This match is a brawl right from the opening bell. Barr uses his usual dirty tricks, but Norton is a man possessed, everything that Barr does to him, Norton just shakes it off!

Norton lets his temper get the better of him late in the match, he has Barr down and out in the corner, and he starts choking over the top rope! Referee Dennis Stamp tries to get Norton to back off, and threatens him with a disqualification. Norton ignores Stamp, and continues to punish Barr.

Finally, Stamp tries to pry Norton off his opponent. Norton spins around and tosses Stamp half-way across the ring! Stamp gets up and immediately calls for the bell . . . Jesse Barr wins the match by DQ!

Scott Norton doesn’t care, he tosses Barr over the top rope and to the floor. Norton follows him out after a short argument with Stamp. Barr uses the time that Norton is arguing with Stamp, and grabs one of the chairs from the timekeeper’s table.

As Norton climbs out of the ring, Barr takes the chair and drives it into Norton’s midsection, then clubs him over the head with the chair! Norton goes down, but he won’t stay down, he starts to get back to his feet, only to have Barr bash him over the head a second time!

This time, Norton stays down, and Barr taunts some of the ringside fans before leaving the ringside area, his arms raised in victory.


SCOTT says that several of the wrestlers spent a lot of time over the holidays doing work for different charities. He says that they have a video they want to show the fans of how these wrestlers, including World Champion Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake, spent their holidays.


We see footage of several babyfaces helping out with various charities. Some of them are serving food at a homeless shelter, some go door to door to collect canned goods or other donations.

We see World Champion Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake in a children’s hospital, handing out gifts to the kids.


HONKY says that he can’t believe the way these wrestlers are pandering to the fans, it makes him sick!

SCOTT says that we’ll talk with HBK and Beefcake a little later on, but when we come back, Megumi Kudo meets Lioness Asuka, one-half of the Crush Girls.

Back from the break, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors in the next match.


MEGUMI KUDO v. LIONESS ASUKA – This match is a hard-hitting, back and forth affair, between two of wrestling’s top female competitors. Asuka gives Kudo all she can handle, but in the end, Megumi gets the win after delivering her Kudo Driver to gain the pinfall.


HUDSON and HONKY talk about the big women’s tag team match that took place at Christmas Star Wars. Scott says they have footage for the fans, of the final moments of the match.


Kudo, Asari and Tiger Dream got the win after Asari nailed Nagayo with the Skytwister Press for the pinfall. After the match, Tiger Dream had words with the mysterious woman.


SCOTT says that they don’t know the identity of this mystery woman, but she seems to have some sort of interest in Tiger Dream, and as we saw, her outfit is almost identical to Tiger Dream’s, except that it’s all black.


At that time, HUDSON and HONKY are joined by TIGER DREAM.

SCOTT asks Tiger Dream what she has to say about this mystery woman.

TIGER DREAM says that when she was wrestling in Japan, before coming to World Class, this woman made some appearances there as well, she calls herself BLACK TIGER, and for some reason, she seems to have followed her from Japan to America.

DREAM then issues a challenge to this Black Tiger, an open invitation to meet her in the ring, any time, anywhere.


After Tiger Dream leaves the ringside area, we cut to TODD PETTENGILL in the World Class Event Centre.


TODD PETTENGILL says that Christmas Star Wars is in the books, and we now look ahead to the first big event of 1994 . . . The Tangle in Tampa!

The event will take place at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, January 30 and will be broadcast LIVE around the world. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch the event on ESPN.

SCOTT HUDSON interviews SHAWN MICHAELS and BRUTUS BEEFCAKE at ringside.

HUDSON talks about what’s gone down in the past few weeks between Michaels and Devastation Inc.


After a minute or so of brawling, Michaels gets the upper hand, and nails Jack with the Superkick!

HBK covers his opponent, but Stamp is still down and out. Michaels has Jack covered for what must be at least an 8 count, but there’s no referee.

At that point, someone appears in the aisleway, and charges to the ring...

ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER!!!


ABDULLAH climbs into the ring, and attacks Michaels from behind! Abby jabs Michaels in the head repeatedly with his fork, opening up the cut on Michaels’ head that was caused last week by Cactus Jack.

ABBY then delivers a vicious chop to the throat that puts Michaels back down on the mat.

At that point, Dennis Stamp is starting to stir, so Abdullah jumps out of the ring. Cactus Jack pulls Michaels back up, and delivers the Double Arm DDT, then covers him.

Dennis Stamp is in position and makes the count . . . ONE . . . TWO . . . THREE!!

Cactus Jack has pinned World Champion Shawn Michaels in this non-title match, though an assist should go to Abdullah the Butcher.

After the decision, Skandor Akbar calls for the Barbarian and the Samoan Swat Team, while Abdullah climbs back into the ring. Abby and Jack continue to assault Michaels, while the rest of Devastation Inc keep anyone else from getting involved.

Wrestlers spilled out into the aisleway, attempting to help Shawn Michaels, but Akbar, Barbarian and the Samoans kept them all at bay.

Finally, the Fantastics and Kevin Von Erich rushed out, and they brawled with the Samoans. At that point, Brutus Beefcake rushed down the aisle, with a chair in hand.

BRUTUS clocked Barbarian over the head with the chair, while the Fantastics and Von Erich kept the Samoans busy.

BEEFCAKE then jumped into the ring and bashed Abdullah over the head with the chair, while Cactus Jack wisely got out of dodge.


HUDSON says that was our last regular broadcast, on December 18. Then, Michaels put the World Title on the line against Cactus Jack on Christmas Night on ESPN.


The match was a wild brawl that, surprisingly, saw Michaels hold his own with the madman from Truth or Consequences, NM. Late in the match, Michaels had the upper hand, and looked to be on his way to victory, when once again, Abdullah the Butcher appeared and helped Jack give HBK a beating.

Brutus Beefcake and Kevin Von Erich were quick to hit the ring and make the save.


SCOTT says that it was a good thing that Brutus Beefcake was able to come to Shawn’s aide, or who knows how much damage Cactus and Abdullah may have done.

MICHAELS thanks Brutus for his help, and the two men shake hands.

SCOTT says that a tag team match has been signed for the Tangle in Tampa on January 30, the two of them will face Cactus and Abdullah.

MICHAELS says that he knows that it won’t just be 2 on 2, not while the rest of Devastation Inc. is hanging around. So he says that he and Brutus came up with an idea, to ensure that the rest of Devastation Inc. can’t get involved . . . they want the match to take place inside of a 15 ft. high STEEL CAGE!!!

HUDSON is shocked, and asks if getting inside a Cage, the most dangerous type of match in wrestling, with Cactus and Abdullah, arguably the two most deranged and dangerous men in wrestling, is really a good idea?

BRUTUS says that he and Michaels know that if they want to rid wrestling of Cactus Jack and Abdullah, they need to take some drastic measures, and if it means climbing into a Cage with the two most dangerous men in wrestling, then that’s what they’ll do!

HBK tells Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher that they’re time in World Class is coming to an end! He then says that after they get rid of Cactus and Abby, they’re setting their sights on Skandor Akbar and the entire Devastation Incorporated!

MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the next match.


LEX LUGER v. BRUISER BEDLAM – Bedlam is a big, mean competitor, but Luger makes short work of him here. Luger pounds Bruiser into the mat, then gets the big man up into the Torture Rack for the submission.

Back from the break, SCOTT HUDSON is at ringside with the winner of the last match, “THE TOTAL PACKAGE” LEX LUGER.

SCOTT talks about Luger’s World Class debut, at Christmas Star Wars ’93, where he faced Chris Adams.


Luger looked to be on his way to a victory, until Mr. Hughes got involved. Hughes tripped Luger as he bounced off the ropes, causing Luger to jump out of the ring, and attack Hughes!

The two men brawled around ringside, with Luger eventually getting the upper hand.

While that was going on, referee John Finnegan counted to 10, and awarded the match to Chris Adams by count-out.


LUGER says that he’s got some unfinished business with Adams, and he’ll deal with him soon enough, but right now, he’s going to make Mr. Hughes pay for costing him that match.

LEX says he knows all about Hughes, that he’s a former football player, but so is Luger. He says that he knows Hughes has worked as a bodyguard, and that he’s about as tough as they come. Luger says that he’s built his career on beating guys that everyone thought were too big or too tough to beat.

LUGER says that when he gets Hughes in the ring, the Big Cat is going down!


MARC LAWRENCE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


AMERICAN TITLE MATCH:
KEVIN VON ERICH v. THE MASKED TERRORIST – The new American Champion makes short work of the masked man. The end comes when Von Erich leaps off the top rope with a flying bodypress for the pinfall.


After the match, SCOTT HUDSON interviews American Champion KEVIN VON ERICH at ringside.

SCOTT talks about Kevin’s win over Curt Hennig at Christmas Star Wars to become the American Heavyweight Champion.


After almost 30 minutes of back and forth action, Von Erich caught Hennig with a bodypress from the second rope, leading to the pinfall.


VON ERICH starts to talk about the match, when there’s some commotion . . .

CURT HENNIG makes his way out to ringside!


HENNIG gets in Von Erich’s face, and taunts Kevin, saying that Von Erich should tell these fans the truth, that he had ahold of Hennig’s trunks when he pinned him. Curt says there’s no way Kevin could have beat him without cheating.

SCOTT says that we just saw the footage, it was a clean pin, right in the middle of the ring.

HENNIG scoffs and says you couldn’t see it at the angle the camera was at, but he knows the truth, and Von Erich knows the truth, he’s just not man enough to admit it!

KEVIN gets in Curt’s face and says that Hennig just can’t accept the fact that he lost FAIR AND SQUARE!

The two stand nose to nose, Von Erich says if Hennig has the guts to get in the ring with him right now, he’ll prove that it wasn’t a fluke, that he beat Curt fair and square!

HENNIG says he’s got a match coming up, so he’s not going to wrestle Von Erich now.

CURT then turns to walk away . . . but spins around and throws a haymaker at Von Erich . . . BUT KEVIN IS READY!!! Kevin blocks it, and staggers Hennig with a flurry of rights and lefts!

KEVIN then grabs Curt by the hair and rolls him into the ring. As Kevin jumps into the ring, Hennig rolls out the other side, and stops by Scott Hudson.

CURT says that he’s not surprised that Kevin would sucker punch him. He tells Kevin that he will see him in the ring soon enough, and when he does, that American Title will be HIS!

CURT HENNIG v. VIRGIL – Virgil is no pushover, and he gives Hennig a tough match, but in the end, Hennig gets the win after connecting with the Perfect-Plex for the pinfall.

After the match, CURT grabs the house mic from Marc Lawrence, and tells Kevin Von Erich to enjoy that American Title while he can, because soon enough, it will be around Hennig’s waist!


HUDSON and HONKY talk about the challenge issued earlier by Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake, to turn their tag team match on January 30 with Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher into a Steel Cage Match.

HONKY says that Michaels and Beefcake are even dumber than they look, and says he can’t wait to see Cactus and Abby destroy those two idiots inside the Cage!

SCOTT says that after the repeated attacks on Michaels, Devastation Inc. was barred from the building today, but Todd Pettengill is standing by with them now.


TODD PETTENGILL is with DEVASTATION INC in the parking lot of Cobo Hall.

SKANDOR AKBAR says they arrived at the building for the TV taping, only to be told that those cowards, Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake, had them BARRED FROM THE BUILDING!

AKBAR says that Michaels and Beefcake can keep playing games, like having them barred from the arenas, but that won’t stop Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher from tearing them apart!

PETTENGILL asks Akbar about Michaels and Beefcake’s challenge earlier, about turning the tag team match on January 30 in Tampa into a Steel Cage match.

A devious smile spreads across Akbar’s lips. He says if Michaels and Beefcake want a Cage match, that suits him just fine!

CACTUS says that the Cage match is his type of match, because it gives him the opportunity to inflict even MORE pain on his opponents! He says that he and Abby are going to turn this tag team match into HBK and Beefcake’s worst nightmare!

AKBAR says that things have worked out perfectly, his men are going to destroy Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake on January 30, and after that, Harley Race will have no choice but to give that World Title belt to Cactus Jack!

PETTENGILL wraps up the interview and sends us back to Hudson and Honky Tonk Man.


HUDSON and HONKY wrap up the show. Honky Tonk Man says that Cage match will be great, because it will be the end of both Shawn Michaels AND Brutus Beefcake!

THE HONKY TONK MAN


SCOTT opens the show, and welcomes the fans to the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California for another edition of WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING!

Last week, Scott Norton and the Texas Hangman Jesse Barr met in another singles match. Norton let his temper get the better of him, and got himself disqualified. Afterwards, Barr assaulted Norton with a chair, and left him laying on the arena floor.

HONKY says that was great, seeing that musclehead left laying, unconscious, on the floor!

HUDSON says that this week, they have a very special treat for the fans. A rematch between the two men has been signed, but this time it will be a Streetfight! There will be no DQ’s, no count-outs, and as an added bonus, one other stipulation was added . . . THE LOSER OF THE MATCH LEAVES WORLD CLASS!!!

HONKY says this is the last day they’ll have to put up with Scott Norton in World Class Championship Wrestling!


HUDSON and HONKY then run down the rest of today’s card . . . KEVIN VON ERICH teams up with THE FANTASTICS for a 6-man tag team match. MR. HUGHES will be in action. BRUTUS BEEFCAKE will be here. CACTUS JACK will be in action.

CACTUS JACK (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. JIM POWERS – Jack destroys his opponent, using the Double Arm DDT to pin Powers.


HONKY TONK MAN says that what we just saw is exactly what’s going to happen the next time Cactus Jack gets a shot at Shawn Michaels and the World Title. He says the fans just saw the next World Heavyweight Champion in action!

After the break, HUDSON and HONKY are joined at ringside by “GENTLEMAN” CHRIS ADAMS, his manager LORD ALFRED HAYES, and MR. HUGHES. Hughes is decked out, as always, in a pair of dark sunglasses, and has a scowl on his face.

Before Hudson can say anything, Hayes demands to know why his man, Chris Adams, has been neglected? He wasn’t scheduled to wrestle last week, and now he’s not scheduled to wrestle this week.

ALFRED says that the American fans may be too stupid to recognize Adams’ talent, but fans in the other parts of the World, particularly the United Kingdom, tune into this program for one reason and one reason only . . . to see the Gentleman in action!

SCOTT starts to say something, but this time it’s Adams who cuts him off.

ADAMS says that he’s sick of being overlooked. He is going to wrestle on this show, whether Harley Race and the promoters like it or not.

ADAMS then climbs into the ring, and Lord Alfred says that they are not going anywhere, until someone comes out and wrestles Adams!

They wait for a moment, but no one comes out.

ALFRED says that it looks like nobody wants to come out here and get humiliated on television.

Then there’s some commotion . . . and out walks LEX LUGER!!!


LUGER grabs a mic and says that after the way Adams cheated him out of a victory on Christmas Night, he would love nothing more than to get back in the ring with Adams.

LUGER jumps up into the ring, and a referee comes running down the aisle and climbs into the ring.

Fans, it looks like we’ve got an impromptu match, between Chris Adams and Lex Luger!


CHRIS ADAMS (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes and Mr. Hughes) v. LEX LUGER – Adams doesn’t seem thrilled about having to square off with Luger again. The match starts, and Luger immediately goes on the offensive. Adams spends the next few minutes being tossed around like a ragdoll!

Adams soon turns the tables, hitting Luger with a low blow, and then punishing him with several stiff kicks to the head.

Adams seems to have the upper hand, but Luger eventually fights back, and that’s when Mr. Hughes jumps into the ring!

Hughes attacks Luger from behind, knocking him to the mat with a vicious clothesline to the back of the head, then he puts the boots to Lex.

Adams joins in, and the two men pound Luger into the mat . . . until American Champion KEVIN VON ERICH arrives on the scene!

Adams and Hughes beat a hasty retreat as Kevin checks on Lex Luger.


HONKY TONK MAN complains about Kevin sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong, and says that he has a feeling that Chris Adams will make sure that he pays for it. He suggests that Kevin must have forgot about the beatings he suffered at the hands of Chris Adams back in the 80s in Texas!

Back from the break, LEX LUGER and KEVIN VON ERICH are with Scott Hudson at ringside.

LUGER says that Adams and Hughes may think they’re tough when they’re attacking people from behind, or ganging up on him, but says that we’ll see how tough they are when he evens things up!

KEVIN then challenges Hughes and Adams to wrestle him and Luger right here next week on TV!

SCOTT says that Kevin’s got Curt Hennig to worry about as well. Kevin will team with the Fantastics for a 6-man tag team match on January 30 in Tampa, against the team of Hennig and the Beverly Brothers.

VON ERICH says that Hennig likes to run his mouth, he comes out here last week saying Kevin cheated to beat him. Kevin says he beat Hennig fair and square, right in the middle of the ring, and the next time they meet in the ring, he’s going to do it again and shut Hennig up once and for all.

HUDSON wishes Lex and Kevin luck in the tag team match next week, and in their respective matches in Tampa on January 30. The two men then leave the ringside area.

SCOTT sends us to TODD PETTENGILL in the World Class Event Centre for an update on the Tangle in Tampa on January 30.

KEVIN VON ERICH & THE FANTASTICS v. DAMIEN DEMENTO & BRUISER BEDLAM & THE MASKED TERRORIST – Demento, Bedlam and the masked man give Kevin and the Fantastics a tough match, but in the end, the Fantastics use the Rocket Launcher on the Masked Terrorist and Rogers pins him.

HUDSON says that we have Tatsumi Fujinami and Shinya Hashimoto standing by. They’ll get a rematch with the Samoan Swat Team for the World Tag Team Titles on January 30 in Tampa.


TATSUMI FUJINAMI and SHINYA HASHIMOTO are standing in front of a World Class banner, along with an interpretor.

FUJINAMI says that the Samoans got the better of them on Christmas Night, but they’ve been training hard since then, and he is confident that they will become World Tag Team Champions in Tampa.

HASHIMOTO agrees, and says they will win the belts on January 30.


In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors in the next match.


MR. HUGHES (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes) v. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Hughes makes short work of the youngster, using a Sidewalk Slam to put Daniels down for the 3-count.


After the match SCOTT HUDSON interviews “MR. PERFECT” CURT HENNIG at ringside.

SCOTT says that Hennig will team up with the Beverly Brothers on January 30 against the trio that we saw in action earlier, American Champion Kevin Von Erich and the Fantastics.

HENNIG, with his ever-present smirk, says that Kevin Von Erich calling himself the American Champion is a JOKE. Curt says that he showed the footage last week, Kevin cheated to beat him, everyone knows that belt should be around his waist!

CURT continues, saying that the Fantastics are a couple of punks, we’ve seen them doing everything they can to avoid the Beverly Brothers for the past few weeks. He asks Scott if Hudson saw Rogers and Fulton’s knees shaking earlier when the Beverly’s came out to watch their match?

SCOTT says he saw no such thing.

HENNIG says that the Fantastics want no part of the Beverly Brothers, and Kevin Von Erich wants no part of him! Curt says that he saw Kevin out here earlier, when he jumped Chris Adams and Mr. Hughes from behind. He says that Kevin just can’t seem to keep his nose out of other people’s business. He says he’s sure Adams and Hughes will put Von Erich in his place next week, and then Curt’s going to finish him off on January 30.

BRUTUS BEEFCAKE v. BUDDY LANDELL – Landell puts up a good fight, but Brutus gets the win after locking Landell in the Sleeperhold.


After the match, a table is set up in the ring.

HUDSON and HONKY join World Class Commissioner HARLEY RACE in the ring.

RACE asks that Shawn Michaels, Brutus Beefcake, Cactus Jack, Abdullah the Butcher and Skandor Akbar come out for the contract signing for the Cage match on January 30.

Michaels and Beefcake come out first, and shortly after, Skandor Akbar leads Cactus and Abdullah to the ring.


RACE tells them that he doesn’t want any trouble. He says that he might be retired, but if any of them get out of line, he’ll put them in their place!

After some trash talking between the two sides, Brutus Beefcake signs the contract, then Shawn Michaels signs it.

Skandor Akbar signs for his team, and afterwards, a huge smile spreads across Akbar’s face.

AKBAR tells Brutus and HBK that they have just signed away their souls! He says that his men are going to destroy them on January 30!

CACTUS takes the mic and says that many careers have been ended inside the Cage, Cactus himself is responsible for many of them, and says that Michaels and Brutus will have their names added to that list! He then says that after he and Abby destroy them, Harley here will have no choice but to hand that World Title belt over to him!

HBK says that Jack talks big, but the only time he’s actually ever beat Michaels is after that big gorilla (pointing at Abdullah) attacked him. Michaels tells Jack that sooner or later, he’s going to have to face the fact that he’s just not good enough to beat the Heartbreak Kid!


That comment doesn’t sit well with Cactus, and he gets in Michaels’ face, but HBK doesn’t back down.

AKBAR pulls Cactus back, and tells him that he’ll get his chance to wipe that smirk off of Michaels’ face when they meet in the Cage on January 30.

JACK tells Michaels that his days are numbered, and Akbar leads his team away.

BRUTUS says that he can’t wait to beat those two in the Cage and shut Akbar up!


HUDSON says that when we come back, Scott Norton takes on Jesse Barr in a match where the loser leaves World Class!

BARR usually carries a noose with him to the ring, but today, he’s got a regular rope, but it’s got a cowbell attached to it!

HUDSON suggests that Barr may be looking to use that cowbell to gain an unfair advantage.

HONKY says he can, it’s a Streetfight, anything goes! He says that Barr’s smarter than Hudson gives him credit for.


STREETFIGHT, LOSER LEAVES WORLD CLASS!
“TEXAS HANGMAN” JESSE BARR v. SCOTT NORTON – As Hudson suggested before the match, Barr immediately tries to use the cowbell, but Norton is able to avoid it, and after kicking Barr in the mid-section, he grabs the cowbell, and tosses it out of the ring.

The match goes back and forth for the next several minutes, with both men getting plenty of offence in. Barr resorts to his usual dirty tricks, and Norton shows that he’s not afraid to bend, or outright break, the rules when need be.

Late in the match, the two men take their brawl to the floor, where Barr once again tries to use the cowbell.

Norton once again gets the upper hand, and throws Barr back into the ring, but this time he brings the cowbell in with him!

Back inside the ring, Norton whips Barr into the ropes . . . AND CRACKS HIM OVER THE HEAD WITH THE COWBELL!!!

Barr’s out like a light, and ends up flat on his back on the mat! Norton covers him for the 1...2...3!

Scott Norton wins . . . Jesse Barr has to leave World Class Championship Wrestling!!!


HUDSON and HONKY wrap up the show. Honky Tonk Man says that Jesse Barr was robbed, and he hopes that Barr files a complaint, because he just got screwed!

HUDSON says that we’ve seen the last of Jesse Barr here in World Class Championship Wrestling, then thanks the fans for watching as the credits start to roll.

SCOTT opens the show, and welcomes the fans to the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio for another edition of WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING!

HONKY TONK says he’s still in shock over the travesty, the miscarriage of justice, that occurred last week. Scott Norton BLATANTLY cheated to beat Jesse Barr, forcing Jesse to leave World Class. He’s disgusted with Harley Race that Race would allow that decision to stand.

SCOTT says that Honky might not like it, but the decision stands, and Jesse Barr is gone from World Class Championship Wrestling.

This week, we’ve got a HUGE tag team main event! After the altercation that took place last week between Chris Adams, Lex Luger, Mr. Hughes and Kevin Von Erich, Luger and Von Erich will meet Adams and Hughes in today’s main event!

HUDSON and HONKY then run down the rest of today’s card . . . THE BEVERLY BROTHERS team up with CURT HENNIG for a 6-man tag team match . . . In a women’s match, TIGER DREAM takes on MARIE THE VOODOO QUEEN . . . THE BARBARIAN will be in action . . . TATSUMI FUJINAMI faces SAMU of the SAMOAN SWAT TEAM in a singles match . . . BAM BAM BIGELOW will be in action.

THE BARBARIAN (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. VIRGIL – We haven’t seen much of the Barbarian in action lately, as he was booked on a tour of South America, but he’s back in World Class now, and makes short work of Virgil in this match. Barbarian nearly takes Virgil’s head off with a wicked clothesline from the second rope, leading to the pinfall.


HUDSON interviews LEX LUGER and American Champion KEVIN VON ERICH at ringside.

SCOTT talks about what took place last week.


ADAMS then climbs into the ring, and Lord Alfred says that they are not going anywhere, until someone comes out and wrestles Adams!

They wait for a moment, but no one comes out.

ALFRED says that it looks like nobody wants to come out here and get humiliated on television.

Then there’s some commotion . . . and out walks LEX LUGER!!!

LUGER grabs a mic and says that after the way Adams cheated him out of a victory on Christmas Night, he would love nothing more than to get back in the ring with Adams.

LUGER jumps up into the ring, and a referee comes running down the aisle and climbs into the ring.

Fans, it looks like we’ve got an impromptu match, between Chris Adams and Lex Luger!

CHRIS ADAMS (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes and Mr. Hughes) v. LEX LUGER
Adams doesn’t seem thrilled about having to square off with Luger again. The match starts, and Luger immediately goes on the offensive. Adams spends the next few minutes being tossed around like a ragdoll!

Adams soon turns the tables, hitting Luger with a low blow, and then punishing him with several stiff kicks to the head.

Adams seems to have the upper hand, but Luger eventually fights back, and that’s when Mr. Hughes jumps into the ring!

Hughes attacks Luger from behind, knocking him to the mat with a vicious clothesline to the back of the head, then he puts the boots to Lex.

Adams joins in, and the two men pound Luger into the mat . . . until American Champion KEVIN VON ERICH arrives on the scene!

Adams and Hughes beat a hasty retreat as Kevin checks on Lex Luger.


LUGER says he can’t wait for the tag team match later today, and says that he has also signed for singles matches against both Adams and Mr. Hughes. Lex wonders if Adams is capable of winning matches without relying on outside interference.

VON ERICH says that he and Adams go way back, there’s a lot of bad blood between them, going back to the mid-80s. He says that today, him and Luger are going to put Adams and Hughes in their place!

KEVIN goes on to talk about Curt Hennig, and promises the fans that he won’t let Hennig anywhere near this American Championship!

The event will take place at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, January 30 and will be broadcast LIVE around the world. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch the event on ESPN.

BAM BAM BIGELOW v. JIM POWERS – Bigelow destroys his opponent, finishing Powers off at the 2-minute mark with a diving headbutt from the second rope.


HUDSON and HONKY are joined by DEVASTATION, INC: SKANDOR AKBAR, CACTUS JACK, THE BARBARIAN, ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER AND THE SAMOAN SWAT TEAM!

HONKY welcomes Akbar and his men to the show, and says he can’t wait to see Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher destroy Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake next Sunday night in Tampa!

AKBAR smiles and says that the Cage match next Sunday night will not be for the faint of heart, it’s going to be violent, it’s going to be bloody, and it’s going to be the last match that Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake ever wrestle! He says that there is no stopping his men, they are the two most dangerous men in wrestling, they live to cripple and maim!

CACTUS says he hates pretty boys like Michaels and Brutus, and he is really going to enjoy tearing them limb from limb next Sunday in Tampa!

ABDULLAH doesn’t say a word, he just stares into the camera with a wide-eyed look on his face. Something then catches Abby’s attention . . . there’s a fly buzzing around!

ABBY focuses on the fly, and bides his time . . . and then SPLAT! The Butcher squashes the fly between his hands!

ABBY looks at the dead fly for a moment, then holds it up for the camera to see . . . and then drops it in his mouth!!!

THE BUTCHER swallows the dead insect, and Scott Hudson looks like he’s going to be sick!

AKBAR laughs, and says that Michaels and Brutus stand about as much chance of surviving as that fly did!


HUDSON says that the Samoan Swat Team will be in action as well, they will defend their World Tag Team Titles in a rematch against the team that they beat for the belts, the All-Asian Tag Team Champions, Shinya Hashimoto and Tatsumi Fujinami.

AKBAR suggests that Fujinami and Hashimoto just stay in Japan, and save themselves the humiliation and the pain that will be inflicted on them in Tampa by the SST!

He says that the only reason Mr. Hughes got involved in their match is because Luger had been cheating throughout the entire contest, and the referee wasn’t doing anything about it, so Hughes did!

HUGHES says that Luger’s an arrogant piece of trash, and today, he and Adams are going to take him down a few pegs.

LORD ALFRED talks about what Abdullah did earlier, and says it was the most disgusting thing he’s ever seen! He says that the wrestlers around here are all a bunch of savages, and the sooner Adams and Hughes destroy those two punks, Luger and Von Erich, the sooner they can get back to the United Kingdom, where the people have class.

HENNIG, with the ever-present smirk, says that they’ll fare the same as they did today, by walking away with a victory!

BLAKE BEVERLY says that the Fantastics haven’t been around much, and he thinks it’s because they’re SCARED! They’re so scared of him, his brother, and Curt, that they don’t even want to be in the same building as them!

BEAU says that the Fantastics are nothing but a couple of pretty boys, and reminds everyone what happened on Christmas Night when the two teams met in the ring.

SCOTT says that speaking of that match, they have some footage that he would like to show the fans, so that they can see just how the Beverly’s “won” that match.

BLAKE tells Scott that he doesn’t like his tone, and warns him that he’d better watch it!

SCOTT ignores the threat, and cues the footage.


After a fast-paced, back and forth match, the Beverly Brothers pulled out a win after Blake pulled a pair of brass knux out of his boot, and clobbered Bobby Fulton with them. Blake pinned Fulton, while Beau kept Rogers from getting involved.


SCOTT says that it certainly looked as though Blake hit Fulton with something.

BLAKE cuts Scott off, saying he did nothing of the sort, they won because they are the better team!

SCOTT says that’s debatable, and then sends us to the ring for our next match.


In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors in the next match.


SAMU (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. TATSUMI FUJINAMI – Samu tries to turn the match into a brawl right away, but Fujinami will have none of it, and he keeps Samu on the mat, wearing him down with technical wrestling holds. In the end, Fujinami gets the win after locking Samu in a Sleeperhold.

Afterwards, Akbar and Samu throw a fit, and Samu even goes after referee Dennis Stamp, but Stamp wisely gets out of the ring.

After the break, SCOTT HUDSON interviews World Champion SHAWN MICHAELS and BRUTUS BEEFCAKE at ringside.

HUDSON says that we heard from Devastation Inc. earlier, and they seem pretty confident that Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher will be victorious next Sunday night in Tampa.

HBK says that the match is going to be brutal, it’s going to be bloody, Akbar was right about that, but he was wrong about one thing . . . it’s going to be Brutus Beefcake and the Heartbreak Kid that leave the Cage victorious in Tampa! He says that Abby and Jack are big, and they’re bad, but if there’s one thing that Michaels has proven time and time again, it’s that the old saying is true, the bigger they are, the harder they fall!

BRUTUS says that he saw Abdullah squash that fly earlier, but there’s no way that he’s going to squash Brutus and HBK!

SCOTT wishes them luck, and sends us to the ring for the main event.

CHRIS ADAMS & MR. HUGHES (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes) v. LEX LUGER & KEVIN VON ERICH – The two teams tear into each other as soon as the bell rings. Referee Nick Patrick has his hands full here, trying to keep order restored, as these two teams want nothing more than to tear each other apart.

Von Erich and Luger eventually gain the upper hand and look to be on their way to victory . . . until CURT HENNIG makes his way down the aisle to ringside.

Hennig gets Kevin Von Erich’s attention, and the two exchange words. This gives Chris Adams the opportunity to shake off the cobwebs, and he waits for Kevin to turn around.

When Von Erich turns his attention away from Hennig and back to the match, Adams catches him in the chin with a SUPERKICK!

Von Erich is out like a light, and Adams covers him while Hennig stands at ringside and laughs.

SCOTT opens the show, and welcomes the fans to the Denver Coliseum in Denver, Colorado for another edition of WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING!

HONKY takes a few minutes to insult the Denver fans, and the city itself.

HUDSON says that we had a big main event scheduled today, just over 24 hours before the big Cage match in Tampa, Brutus Beefcake was scheduled to take on Abdullah the Butcher.

SCOTT says that the reason he is using the term WAS, is that Brutus was the victim of a dastardly attack prior to the start of this television taping.

HONKY says it was great, and tells the crew to roll the footage!


TODD PETTENGILL is standing in a hallway of the Denver Coliseum. Standing beside him is BRUTUS BEEFCAKE.

TODD asks about the big tag team match coming up on January 30 inside the Steel Cage.

BRUTUS says he’s confident that he and Michaels will be victorious. Devastation Inc have inflicted a lot of pain, on both him and Michaels, and he knows that Michaels can’t wait to get his hands on Cactus Jack and tear him limb from limb!

AT THAT POINT, SKANDOR AKBAR APPEARS!!

AKBAR laughs, and tells Brutus that he’s delusional, there’s no way two pretty boys like Brutus and Michaels can defeat the two most dominant forces in wrestling, Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher. Especially not in a match that was created for men like Jack and Abdullah, the Steel Cage match!

While Akbar and Brutus argue, CACTUS JACK and ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER jump Brutus from behind!

Jack and Abby pummel Brutus. Beefcake tries to fight back, but it’s no use.

After slamming Brutus’ head into the wall, Cactus Jack delivers the Double Arm DDT on the floor, leaving a bloody Brutus Beefcake lying unconscious on the floor.


When the footage ends, World Champion SHAWN MICHAELS has joined Hudson and Honky at ringside.

MICHAELS is livid, and says that Skandor Akbar knows his men can’t beat Brutus Beefcake and the Heartbreak Kid in this Cage match, so know they’ve tried to take Brutus out of the picture.

HBK then asks Harley Race to come out.

HARLEY RACE makes his way out to ringside.

MICHAELS says that Brutus was scheduled to wrestle Abdullah the Butcher in today’s main event. He asks Race to let HIM take Brutus’ place, and wrestle Abdullah.

RACE says that’s fine by him.

MICHAELS then challenges Abdullah to come out, so they can have their match right now!


HUDSON quickly runs down the other matches scheduled for today’s show, then sends us to a commercial break.

SHAWN MICHAELS v. ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER (w/ Skandor Akbar) – The match is fast and furious, with Michaels trying to use his quickness to hit and run, trying to stay out of Abby’s grasp.

Abby does eventually get his hands on Michaels, and gives him a beating, but the Heartbreak Kid won’t stay down.

Michaels fights back, and after putting Abdullah on the mat with a dropkick, the World Champ goes to the top rope.

Michaels leaps off and catches Abby with a flying forearm smash, that puts Abdullah flat on his back on the mat.

THE BARBARIAN SUDDENLY JUMPS INTO THE RING!!

Barbarian nails Michaels from behind, but Michaels quickly turns the tables.

As Abdullah gets back to his feet, Michaels whips the Barbarian into him. The two heels collide, sending Abdullah tumbling through the ropes and out of the ring. The Barbarian is stunned, and as he turns around, Michaels nails him with the Superkick.

Abdullah and the Barbarian are both down and out, but Michaels didn’t notice Cactus Jack slide into the ring behind him.

Jack spins Michaels around, and then kicks him in the gut. With Michaels doubled over, Cactus delivers the Double Arm DDT!

Abdullah the Butcher climbs back into the ring, and takes out his trusty fork! Abdullah and Jack proceed to open a gash on Michaels head. Blood starts to run down his face, and in no time, the face of the World Champion is a crimson mask.

The babyface locker room empties and the wrestlers are able to pry Abby and Cactus off of the World Champion. They help Michaels to the back, while Akbar, Cactus Jack, Abdullah the Butcher and the Barbarian join Hudson and Honky at ringside.


AKBAR is smiling from ear to ear, and says that his plan worked to perfection. He knew that Michaels would want to be the knight in shining armour, he’d want to take the match and avenge his friend. He also knew that with Brutus Beefcake no longer in the building, there would be nobody to help Michaels!

HUDSON says that’s horrible.

AKBAR says that’s why he’s a winner, and his men are winners, because they’re smarter than these musclehead pretty boys like Michaels and Brutus!

CACTUS says that he doubts Michaels and Brutus will even show up for the Cage match tomorrow night, but if they do, he and Abdullah will finish what they started here today!

SCOTT sends us to Todd Pettengill in the World Class Event Centre.


We join TODD PETTENGILL in the World Class Event Centre for an update on the Tangle in Tampa on January 30.


TODD PETTENGILL says that Christmas Star Wars is in the books, and we now look ahead to the first big event of 1994 . . . the Tangle in Tampa!

The event will take place at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida tomorrow night, January 30 and will be broadcast LIVE around the world. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch the event on ESPN.

Matches scheduled to take place include...

* Tag Team Grudge Match, inside a Steel Cage: Shawn Michaels teams up with Brutus Beefcake to meet the challenge of Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher!

HUDSON interviews CURT HENNIG and THE BEVERLY BROTHERS at ringside.

SCOTT talks about what took place last week, when Lex Luger and Kevin Von Erich faced Chris Adams and Mr. Hughes.


Von Erich and Luger eventually gain the upper hand and look to be on their way to victory . . . until CURT HENNIG makes his way down the aisle to ringside.

Hennig gets Kevin Von Erich’s attention, and the two exchange words. This gives Chris Adams the opportunity to shake off the cobwebs, and he waits for Kevin to turn around.

When Von Erich turns his attention away from Hennig and back to the match, Adams catches him in the chin with a SUPERKICK!

Von Erich is out like a light, and Adams covers him while Hennig stands at ringside and laughs.


HENNIG and THE BEVERLY BROTHERS all share a laugh when the footage ends.

CURT asks Scott if he saw the look on Kevin’s face when he realized that he had been pinned, he says it was priceless!

HENNIG continues, saying that Kevin Von Erich is a loser, and once Kevin stops ducking him and gives him another shot at the American Title, that belt will be around HIS waist!

SCOTT asks the Beverly Brothers about the match coming up tomorrow night in Tampa.

BLAKE says that he’s sick of the Fantastics, he says that the way Rogers and Fulton pander to these fans makes him physically ill.

BEAU says that he and his brother are winners, they don’t need the support of these fans, they go out there and they win matches on their own. The Fantastics need the cheers of these fans because they’re weak, they lack the killer instincts that he and his brother have. That’s why the Not-So-Fantastics will never be as great as the Beverly Brothers.

HENNIG says that the three of them will not only defeat Von Erich and the Fantastics, but humiliate them as well.

The Beverly Brothers then climb into the ring for the next match.

BLAKE & BEAU BEVERLY v. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & VIRGIL – The Beverly Brothers work well together, as they keep the youngster Daniels isolated in their corner. The match comes to an end after the Beverly Brothers use the Fantastics finisher, the Rocket Launcher, to get the pinfall on Daniels.

Afterwards, Blake Beverly takes the house mic from Marc Lawrence, and says that they do everything better than Fulton and Rogers, even the Rocket Launcher!


SCOTT HUDSON interviews the mysterious woman, who calls herself BLACK TIGER at ringside.

HUDSON asks about the match with Tiger Dream coming up tomorrow night in Tampa.

BLACK TIGER says that her and Tiger Dream used to be friends, even tag team partners, a few years back in Japan. But Tiger Dream decided that the friendship, and the team, meant nothing to her, she decided that she wanted all the glory for herself.

TIGER continues, saying that she had originally come up with the idea of a female Tiger Mask character, but her so-called friend went behind her back, stole the idea, and started calling herself Tiger Dream. Black Tiger says that she is going to prove to everyone that she is the better wrestler, and that SHE deserves to wear the Tiger mask, NOT Tiger Dream!

SCOTT HUDSON interviews American Champion KEVIN VON ERICH and THE FANTASTICS at ringside.

HUDSON says that he’ll get to the big 6-man tag team match in a second, but he wants to talk about a ceremony that took place recently, where Tommy and Bobby were honoured for the work that they’ve done, setting up youth sports and after-school programs, designed to help get kids off the street and doing something productive.


Footage is shown of Fulton and Rogers accepting an award in Dallas, Texas for their work with local kids, and the charity work that they do.


HUDSON asks about the big tag team match coming up tomorrow night in Tampa, against the trio of Curt Hennig and the Beverly Brothers.

VON ERICH says that Hennig has been a thorn in his side for a while now, but tomorrow night, he’s going to put Hennig in his place, and remove that thorn once and for all.

BOBBY FULTON says that he can’t wait to beat those Beverly Brothers and shut them up.

FULTON and ROGERS then climb into the ring and await their opponents for the next match.

SCOTT HUDSON interviews LORD ALFRED HAYES, CHRIS ADAMS and MR. HUGHES at ringside.

HUDSON asks them about the matches coming up tomorrow night, where Hughes has a match with Lex Luger, and Adams squares off with Barry Windham, who comes from one of the best known families in wrestling.

ADAMS says that Windham is from Texas, so that right there tells Adams that Windham’s a loser! And as far as coming from a wrestling family, he says that calling BlackJack Mulligan a wrestler is being awfully generous! He says that Mulligan was a punk when he wrestled, and his son is a punk! He says he doesn’t expect Windham to last more than 2 or 3 minutes with a wrestler the calibre of Chris Adams!

MR. HUGHES then talks about Lex Luger. He says that Luger likes to run his mouth, but that doesn’t bother Hughes, he says that he prefers to do his talking in the ring.

LORD ALFRED says that it’s going to be a great night for him and his men!

LEX LUGER v. THE BARBARIAN (w/ Skandor Akbar) – The Barbarian is as tough as they come, and gives Luger a tough match, but in the end, Lex gets the big man up in the Torture Rack for the submission.


HUDSON interviews World Champion SHAWN MICHAELS at ringside.

HBK’s forehead is bandaged.

SCOTT says that he can’t believe what happened earlier, first Devastation Inc attacked his tag team partner, Brutus Beefcake, and then they ganged up on him after Michaels took Brutus’ spot in the match with Abdullah the Butcher.

MICHAELS says that Devastation Inc think that they have the upper hand, they may have busted him open earlier today, and they may have sent Brutus to the hospital, but all that’s going to do is make him and Brutus more determined.

HBK says that after tomorrow night, the fans won’t be seeing Cactus Jack or Abdullah the Butcher around these parts anymore!

HUDSON wishes him and Brutus luck.


HUDSON and HONKY wrap up the show.

SCOTT welcomes the fans to the Sundome in Tampa, Florida for THE TANGLE IN TAMPA!!!

HUDSON and HONKY run down the matches that the fans will see on the show, including two big main events. The first will see the American Champion KEVIN VON ERICH team up with the FANTASTICS to face CURT HENNIG and the BEVERLY BROTHERS in a 6-man tag team match. And then, the big one, World Champion SHAWN MICHAELS teams up with BRUTUS BEEFCAKE to face CACTUS JACK and ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER in a STEEL CAGE MATCH!!!

HONKY says he doubts Brutus will even show up for the match, after what Cactus and Abby did to him on TV yesterday.

HUDSON introduces a clip of what took place before yesterday’s edition of World Class Championship Wrestling went on the air.


TODD PETTENGILL is standing in a hallway of the Denver Coliseum. Standing beside him is BRUTUS BEEFCAKE.

TODD asks about the big tag team match coming up on January 30 inside the Steel Cage.

BRUTUS says he’s confident that he and Michaels will be victorious. Devastation Inc have inflicted a lot of pain, on both him and Michaels, and he knows that Michaels can’t wait to get his hands on Cactus Jack and tear him limb from limb!

AT THAT POINT, SKANDOR AKBAR APPEARS!!

AKBAR laughs, and tells Brutus that he’s delusional, there’s no way two pretty boys like Brutus and Michaels can defeat the two most dominant forces in wrestling, Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher. Especially not in a match that was created for men like Jack and Abdullah, the Steel Cage match!

While Akbar and Brutus argue, CACTUS JACK and ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER jump Brutus from behind!

Jack and Abby pummel Brutus. Beefcake tries to fight back, but it’s no use.

After slamming Brutus’ head into the wall, Cactus Jack delivers the Double Arm DDT on the floor, leaving a bloody Brutus Beefcake lying unconscious on the floor.


SCOTT says that word is, Brutus Beefcake is indeed here in Tampa, and he can’t wait to get his hands on Cactus and Abdullah in that Cage.


In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors in the first match.


TIGER DREAM v. BLACK TIGER
The match starts off slowly, each woman looking for a weakness, for a spot to strike. The pace soon picks up, and the two women tear into each other. Black Tiger uses some underhanded tactics to take control of the match. Black Tiger eventually goes for the mask of her opponent, but this just angers Tiger Dream, who then makes a comeback. The next few minutes are all Tiger Dream, but her opponent uses a jab to the throat to stop Tiger Dream dead in her tracks.

In the end, Black Tiger starts choking Tiger Dream in the corner, and when the referee tries to get her to stop, she knocks him to the mat! The referee calls for the bell, and awards the match to Tiger Dream by DQ.


HUDSON and HONKY talk about what we just saw. Scott says that this rivalry is far from over.

SCOTT NORTON v. THE MASKED TERRORIST
The masked man is no match for the power of Scott Norton. Norton spends a few minutes wearing his opponent down, then finishes him off with a powerslam for the pinfall.

BAM BAM BIGELOW v. TONY HALME
Halme gives Bigelow a tough time early on, but Bigelow eventually takes control of the match, and dominates his opponent. After connecting with a diving headbutt, Bigelow puts Halme away with a Moonsault from the top rope.


HUDSON and HONKY talk about the matches that have taken place so far.

HONKY TONK MAN says that Bam Bam Bigelow has just steamrolled over everyone he’s been in the ring with since coming to World Class Championship Wrestling.

HUDSON says that Chris Adams will be in action next, against a former World’s Champion, Barry Windham! Scott says that he had a chance to talk with Adams and his manager Lord Alfred Hayes before the show.


SCOTT HUDSON meets up with CHRIS ADAMS and LORD ALFRED HAYES in the parking lot.

HAYES tells a young man who’s carrying their bags to meet them inside.

SCOTT says that tonight, Adams has what is sure to be a tough match, against Barry Windham.

ADAMS scoffs, and says this is nothing more than a WARM-UP for real matches he’s got coming up. He says that Windham is a no talent punk, just like his father, and he’s going to prove that tonight.

LORD ALFRED wants to know why it is that the promoters have refused to give Adams any more title matches, since he was cheated out of the World Title on December 5 by Shawn Michaels?

SCOTT starts to reply, but Hayes cuts him off.

ALFRED says that it’s because Harley Race and the Championship Committee in World Class want to PROTECT Michaels, that’s why! They don’t want him in the ring with someone who they know will beat him, so they give him challengers they know he can beat. He says Michaels is a paper champion, and should be ashamed of himself.

ADAMS talks a bit more about Michaels, and says that with that long hair and those earrings, HBK reminds him of a transvestite! He says that real men don’t wear earrings and grow their hair long.

SCOTT says that’s all the time they have for now, as Adams continues to rant about Shawn Michaels.


Back at ringside, HUDSON and HONKY talk about the match coming up between Adams and Barry Windham, then send us to Marc Lawrence in the ring.

“GENTLEMEN” CHRIS ADAMS (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes & Mr. Hughes) v. BARRY WINDHAM
Adams wins a tough match, after Mr. Hughes trips Windham as he runs the ropes. When Windham gets to his feet, he’s met with a Superkick from Adams, leading to the pinfall.


In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the World Tag Team Title match.


WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:
THE SAMOAN SWAT TEAM (Samu & Fatu) (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. TATSUMI FUJINAMI & SHINYA HASHIMOTO
The challengers are ready for this one, and they take the fight right to the Samoans as soon as the bell sounds. The early going is all Fujinami and Hashimoto, but the Samoans are crafty, and eventually turn the tables.

The match goes back and forth, but in the end, the Samoan Swat Team hold onto the belts, when Samu tosses Fujinami out of the ring, and brawls with him on the floor, while Fatu drops Hashimoto with a headbutt, then delivers a Splash from the second rope for the pinfall.


HUDSON and HONKY talk about the match we just saw. Hudson says the Samoans have proven themselves to be very tough Champions.

HONKY doubts there’s a team in World Class that will be able to take the belts from them.

SCOTT says that there are two teams, who we’ll be seeing in action tonight, that would love to have a shot at those belts. He’s talking about the Fantastics and the Beverly Brothers.

HUDSON then talks about the next match, between Lex Luger and the Big Cat, Mr. Hughes. He says that both men are former football players, and are two of the toughest men in wrestling. This match came about when Luger challenged Chris Adams on Christmas Night, but Mr. Hughes got involved, costing Luger the match. Luger swore revenge, and tonight, he has the opportunity to get it!

MR. HUGHES (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes) v. LEX LUGER
This match is a brawl, right from the start. We see very few technical wrestling holds. As the match progresses, Luger gets the upper hand. He tries to get Hughes up in the Torture Rack, but can’t get him all the way up, and Hughes slips out of his grasp.

Hughes controls the next few minutes, but can’t put Luger away. Eventually, Lex turns the tables again, and after connecting with a diving elbowsmash off the second rope, Luger is able to get Mr. Hughes up in the Torture Rack for the submission!


SCOTT HUDSON says that they’ve got big news regarding the first World Class Pay-Per-View event of 1994.

The event is scheduled for April 2, 1994.

It will take place at the Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California...

It’s PARADE OF CHAMPIONS!!!

All three World Championships will be on the line, more information will be available in the coming weeks on World Class Championship Wrestling.

KEVIN VON ERICH & THE FANTASTICS (Bobby Fulton & Tommor Rogers) v. “MR. PERFECT” CURT HENNIG & THE BEVERLY BROTHERS (Beau & Blake)
All six men brawl in the ring to start this match. Curt Hennig and Kevin Von Erich quickly make their way to the floor and continue the brawl there, while the Fantastics and Beverly Brothers battle in the ring. Referee Dennis Stamp is going to have his hands full with this one!

When things finally settle down, the heels isolate Tommy Rogers, keeping him in their half of the ring, cutting him off from being able to make a tag. Rogers spends the next few minutes getting pummeled. Every time he tries to fight back, the heels gang up on him to make sure he stays in their half of the ring.

Finally, Rogers is able to fight them off, hitting the Beverly Bros. and Hennig with wild rights and lefts, then he makes a mad dash to his corner, and tags Bobby Fulton.

But Dennis Stamp was distracted by the heels . . . HE DIDN’T SEE THE TAG!!

Rogers take some more punishment, until he is finally able to make the hot tag to Kevin Von Erich, who comes in and cleans house, sending all three heels to the floor.

All three heels jump back into the ring and attack Kevin, which brings Bobby Fulton in to help Kevin out. Rogers comes in a moment later, and we’ve got all six men in the ring again.

Once again, Dennis Stamp is able to get the extra men out of the ring, and we’re back to one on one, with Kevin Von Erich in the ring with Blake Beverly. The two men battle back and forth for a few minutes, until Kevin tags Bobby Fulton in.

Blake Beverly immediately takes over, hitting Fulton with a low blow that stops Bobby dead in his tracks. Blake then brings Fulton over to the heels corner, and holds his arms from behind. Beau Beverly climbs into the ring, and seems to be pouring some kind of powder into his hand.

With Blake holding Bobby Fulton in place, Beau Beverly goes to throw the powder into Fulton’s face . . . BUT BOBBY DUCKS AT THE LAST SECOND!!!

Blake Beverly ends up with the powder in his face! Bobby Fulton nails Beau Beverly with a dropkick that sends him through the ropes and to the floor. Fulton then quickly covers Blake Beverly, and gets the 1-2-3!!!

The Fantastics promised to pay the Beverly’s back for cheating to win the match at Christmas Star Wars, and they’ve got their payback here tonight!


HUDSON and HONKY talk about the match we just saw. Honky says it was a miscarriage of justice. Hudson says that the Beverly’s want to break the rules, sometimes it backfires, as it did here tonight. Honky tells Hudson to shut up!

SCOTT then talks about the final match of the evening, a Steel Cage match between the teams of Shawn Michaels and Brutus Beefcake and Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher, representing Devastation, Inc.


We see footage of the events that have led up to this match. The video ends with a clip from yesterday’s TV show, showing Michaels laying face down on the mat, his face covered in blood, while Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher gloat.


SCOTT says that two teams will enter the Cage, but only one team will walk out.


In the ring, MARC LAWRENCE introduces the competitors for the main event.


STEEL CAGE MATCH:
“THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS & BRUTUS BEEFCAKE v. CACTUS JACK & ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER (w/ Skandor Akbar)
As soon as the Cage door is shut, and the bell sounds, the two teams tear into each other.

HBK’s head is bandaged, from the attack on TV, and it doesn’t take long for Cactus and Abby to open the cut up again, and the blood starts to run down Michaels’ face.

The match goes back and forth, and soon all four men are bleeding.

Cactus and Abby look to be on their way to victory, they pummel Brutus, leaving him in a heap in the corner, then turn their attention to the World Champion. After repeatedly ramming Michaels’ head into the Cage, and grinding his face into the mesh, Cactus Jack drops Michaels with the Double Arm DDT . . . BUT THE HEARTBREAK KID KICKS OUT!!!

Michaels fights his way back to his feet, and throws punches at both men, until Brutus Beefcake gets back to his feet and joins in. Michaels brawls with Cactus, while Brutus whips Abdullah into the ropes, and then locks on the Sleeperhold! Abby fights it, but with all the blood he’s lost, the lights go out quickly.

Michaels and Cactus trade punches, but Michaels gets the upper hand, and nails Jack with the Superkick!

Referee Nick Patrick is in position as Michaels covers Jack . . .

Michaels and Brutus quickly leave the Cage. Jack staggers to his feet, just as Abdullah does. The two men stumble into the middle of the ring . . . AND ABDULLAH NAILS JACK WITH A RIGHT HAND!

Abdullah, obviously upset over the loss, is taking it out on his tag team partner and stablemate in Devastation, Inc! Abby pounds Cactus into the mat, and then delivers the Butcher’s Axe elbowdrop for good measure! With Cactus Jack flat on his back on the mat, Abdullah climbs out of the Cage, and leaves the ringside area with Skandor Akbar.


HUDSON and HONKY wrap up the show.
