*Sweet Sensation were celebrating their win by shaking hands with their fans around the ringside area. The scene was abruptly broken up when two men ran out from the backstage area and attacked the champions from behind:
Lance Russell identifies one of the men as Dave “Fit” Finlay, who has wrestled in CWA in the past. The other man couldn’t be identified by Lance, but these two brutally assaulted an exhausted Lane and Michaels who had just had a successful title defense. Finlay throw Michaels head-first into the steel barrier, while the other man used a somersault splash on the concrete floor on Lane. These two stomped Sweet Sensation, until Eddie Marlin ran down with several wrestlers to stop this carnage. Who is this man with Dave “Fit” Finlay and why they have attacked Sweet Sensation tonight?

The finish saw Lawler pull the strap down and pull Dundee in for an illegal piledriver. Jerry Calhoun stepped into to stop the match, but now Roberts slipped into the ring and drilled Lawler with a double sledge from behind. The Masked Superstar ran down and tried to help the One Man Gang up, but soon out came none other than Terry Taylor to run him off. One Man Gang slowly rolled back into the ring, only to get drilled with the handle end of Shoo Baby once, twice, three times. Gang went down and Mantell covered for the 1-2-no! One Man Gang, to his credit, kicked out.
