1) The Masked Mercenary pinned Tommy Gilbert with a spinning neck-breaker at 7:06 in a battle of the bullies.
2) Billy Joe Travis pinned Phil Hickerson at 8:34 when Hickerson attempted to load up his boot despite referee Paul Neighbor’s warning, but took too long and allowed Travis to roll him up into a small package for a pinfall out of nowhere.
3) The PYT Express: Koko Ware & Norvell Austin (w/ Jimmy Hart & Bg Bubba Rogers) defeated ”Wildfire” Tommy Rich & Jimmy Valiant at 12:08 when Koko Ware connected with a missile dropkick on Jimmy Valiant. Big Bubb interfered late in the match and cheap-shotted Rich on the apron, leaving Valiant to fall prey to a double-team attack. Jimmy Hart was jubilant after the match and shouted that the First Family is back over and over again.
4) Southern Tag Team Champions Sweet Sensation: Stan Lane & Shawn Michaels defeated The Nightmares: Danny Davis & Ken Wayne at 14:55 when Stan Lane connected with a super kick on Ken Wayne to score a first successful title defense for the new champions.
INTERMISSION
5) ”Macho Man” Randy Savage (w/ Lanny Poffo & Miss Elizabeth) pinned ”Hotstuff” Eddie Gilbert (w/ Rick Steiner) at 17:27 when he came off the top rope with the flying elbow smash. Rick Steiner drilled Savage with a brutal clothesline immediately after the bell, but Lanny Poffo came flying off the top rope with a moon-sault on Steiner. Savage and Poffo then threw both Gilbert and Steiner to the floor, leaving Eddie to continue to stew on his way to the dressing room.
6) CWA Heavyweight Champion Bill Dundee pinned Jerry “The King” Lawler at 20:24 under dubious circumstances again. This time, Lawler had the strap down and drilled Dundee, who fell backwards and tied himself in the ropes. Referee Jerry Calhoun was trying to free Dundee, and both his and the Superstar’s vision seemed to be obscured, when The Masked Mercendary slipped into the ring, decks Lawler and laid him out… with a DDT! The Masked Mercenary was out of the ring and up the aisle just as fast as he’d entered, which coincided with Calhoun freeing Dundee. Bill once again played it like he hadn’t seen anything and covered Lawler, never questioning how The King got into the position of being laid out. As soon as the bell rang, The Masked Mercenary slipped off his hood to reveal… Jake “The Snake” Roberts! Eddie Marlin and a group of security guards then apprehended Roberts and ejected him from the Coliseum. Marlin then entered the ring and began questioning Dundee, with a groggy and irate Lawler joining in. Dundee just shrugged, grabbed his belt and again left the ring.
7) Dutch Mantell defeated Southern Heavyweight Champion One Man Gang by count out at 15:31 when he was somehow able to back-drop the champion when he went for an illegal pile-driver on the floor. Mantell did in fact get his hand raised after an incredible feat of strength. The Masked Superstar arrived after the match and went to re-enter the ring with the now cognizant Gang, but Mantell scared them off by cracking Shoo Baby against the ropes.
