Tampa Sportatorium
Broadcasters: Gordon Solie and Buddy Colt
The show starts with a cold opening showing highlights of last weeks Florida Championship Tournament. We see Mike Rotundo pinning Nacho Berrera, Paul Orndorff pinning Rocky Della Serra, Orndorff pinning Carlos Colon, Dusty Rhodes and Barry Windham both counted out, Rotundo pinning Robert Fuller and finally the final moments of Paul Orndorff defeating Mike Rotundo to win the tournament.
And we join our hosts, Gordon Solie and Buddy Colt, who are at the announcers desk with Bobby The Brain Heenan and his man, the Florida Heavyweight Champion, Mr. Wonderful, Paul Orndorff. Both are smiling and reminding everyone that they told the fans, Orndorff would be the new Florida Champion, and next, Heenan promises to take the Southern Title from Dusty Rhodes and be finished with him once and for all. Orndorff says, before that, he has a challenge for NWA Champion Ric Flair, for the Eddie Graham Memorial show. Florida promoter George Scott comes out, and congratulates Orndorff for a great tournament win. He reminds Paul that when Mike Graham forfeited the title, he was promised a rematch when he decided to return to the ring. Well, Mike is ready to return, and he will be taking his contractually promised title match June 7 at the Eddie Graham Memorial Show. Heenan and Orndorff start to protest, but they're reminded, this was contractually obligated and they agreed to it when entering the tournament. With that, Heenan and Orndorff storm off the set.
Solie tells us, besides a great showing by Mike Rotundo, who almost won the title, the Miami Convention Center was buzzing with the unexpected dream match between pupil and teacher, Barry Windham and Dusty Rhodes, in a match that ended in a double count out. Both Dusty and Barry will be out later to discuss that match.
Finally, our main event today will feature the man Orndorff defeated, Mike Rotundo taking on the legendary masked man, The Assassin.
The opening segment ends with a pretaped promo from NWA World Heavyweight Champion, The Nature Boy, Ric Flair wearing a suit and the title belt.
"Tampa Florida, June 7th, it's going to be a celebration, because the Nature Boy is gonna be in town, stylin' and profilin' as only the champ can do. It doesn't matter if it's Paul Orndorff, if it's Dusty Rhodes, if it's Barry Windham, Mike Rotundo or Carlos Colon, the names may change, but the champ stays the same. And next week, Ric will be in the studio to show Florida what the world knows, weather you like it or not, he's the best thing going. Whoooooo"

Returning from the commercial, Krusher Kruschev is with the announcers. Colt asks him what happened in the tournament? Kruschev says he knows he promised a win, and he knows it didn't happen, and that's because the tournament was fixed. He decided he needs an ally, an ally who knows how to deal with the evils of capitalism, someone who knows his way around Florida, his new manager, Number 1, Paul Jones!
Jones says that Krusher is right, the fix was in, that Krusher needs not just an ally leading him, but allies fighting with him, and in the upcoming weeks, the Paul Jones Army will make themselves known in Florida. He then leads Kruschev to the ring for the first match on today's show.

They're also joined by George Scott who informs them that after a string of victories across Florida, Ricky Gibson and Buck Zumhoffe, have been named number one contenders for the US Titles, and will be competing for the straps at the Eddie Graham Memorial Show, June 7 at the USF Sundome. While the Duo just smile and nod, Mephisto laughs, and says he doens't care who Gibson and Zumhoffe defeated, they haven't faced the best yet, and the best are here right now. He then looks right at the camera and reminds the viewing audience, he promised a summer of destruction, and he'll have his next monster coming soon. We head to the ring.

Returning to the show, Southern Heavyweight Champion The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes is at the announce desk. Gordon asks him to go over the final moments of his match with Barry Windham.
Barry Windham vs. Dusty Rhodes, Joined In Progress, from April 27
Dusty fights back and hits a vicious clothesline that sends both men tumbling outside the ring. Both men are groggy after hitting the floor, but Windham seems to recover first, and he is just about to get into the ring, when Dusty is able to slow him down right before the 10 count. The referee counts both men out as they attempt to beat the count.
Winner: Double Count Out
After the match, Rhodes goes to shake Windham's hand, and Barry hesitates before grasping Dusty's hand as well. Barry says something to Dusty that seems to upset him, but and the two leave the ring separately.
Dusty says that of course, it was a tough match, and that he didn't expect such a tough match from Barry yet. But, Barry put up a hell of a fight. Gordon asks what Barry said following the match, and Dusty says it doesn't really matter, things got said in the heat of the moment, but he hasn't heard another word from Barry about the match. No matter what was said, he forgives Barry.
With that, we head to the ring for our next match.
The Golden Terror vs. Mike Graham - 1 fall, 15 min
Graham is back in his first match since his father's untimely death a few months ago, and he looks like a man on a mission. He defeats the masked Terror after a series of dropkicks.

Barry Windham, wearing his street clothes is at ringside with Gordon Solie. Solie asks about the match with Dusty Rhodes, and what was said after the match. Barry starts to say it was none of Gordon's business, but is interrupted by Dusty himself. Dusty tells Barry it doesn't matter what happened last Sunday in Miami, that they're friends and Dusty forgives him.
Barry, visibly upset, tells Dusty that this is his interview time, and that Dusty better step away. Dusty tries to say something, but Barry pushes him away and again says that this is his time. Dusty is upset, but starts to walk away. When he turns his back, Barry attacks him!
At first, Dusty is too stunned to know what to do, but tries to fight back as Barry is kicking him in the head and shoulders. He tries to crawl away, but Barry keeps on kicking him before picking him up and throwing him into the ring. Dusty is whipped into the ropes and Barry hits a tremendous clothesline, then pounces on Rhodes and starts punching him in the head repeatedly.
Barry picks up Dusty and throws him out of the ring, over the top rope. Dusty tries to crawl away, again, while Barry yells at him "who's going to save who Dusty? You going to go easy on my now Dusty?" as he takes off his belt. Barry then begins to whip Dusty with the belt, while Dusty is crying out "Why Barry, why?". Barry throws Dusty BACK into the ring, and while Dusty struggles to get to his feet in one of the corners, Windham grabs a chair and smashes it over Dusty's head. Solie wonders why no one has come out here to stop this yet while Windham again picks up the bloodied Rhodes and, tying him in the ropes, starts bashing Dusty with his own Southern Title belt, calling him a selfish son of a BEEEEP.
Finally, after what seems like hours, the fan favorite locker room rushes into the ring, and Barry bails out, still holding onto the Southern Title belt. Barry strolls to the studio exit, where he pauses before throwing the belt back towards the ring. The camera follows Barry to the parking lot, where he is met by a limo with tinted windows. The door opens and Barry gets in and the car speeds away.
Before cutting to commercial, a shot of the carnage that Windham left behind is shown.
