The Midnight Express w/ Jim Cornette (c) vs. The Fantastics - joined in progress for the final minute
Jim Cornette tries to help out his team at every opportunity, and it appears to be working when he goes to hit Tommy Rogers with his tennis racket. Rogers ducks the shot, and Bobby Eaton is hit. The Fantastics are celebrating and getting ready to head over to the interview area, when they are attacked from behind by the Devils Duo and Great Mephisto. Fulton and Rogers look like they are fending off the attack, when Mephisto throws a fire ball at Rogers! That causes the officials and good guy locker rooms to empty out.
Returning to the broadcast, Gordon asks what the Fantastics plan on doing about the Devil's Duo. The champs say that for the moment, Rogers isn't cleared to wrestle, but luckily the burns were not serious, and he should be back in the ring by next week. And when he does come back, they'll take care of the Duo, and drive them and Mephisto out of Florida.
We head to the ring where our first match is ready to being.
