After the match Fuller and Dusty shook hands and Fuller put Dusty over in a promo on the mic. Dusty then took the mic and called Fuller and damn fine wrestler and friend, then he called out Bobby Heenan and Paul Orndorff and said he was going to kick Orndorff’s butt here next week if Orndorff has the guts to accept the fight!!!!

WON Reporting:
With Eddie Graham's Suicide, Championship Wrestling Florida looked to be on the way out. Only when George Scott and The Fuller family stepped in to buy large shares of the promotion did things look like they would work out. Robert Fuller coming in upset many of the stars, including Dusty Rhodes who thought Fuller would use his position as shareholder to make the promotion about himself. In order to show Dusty that wasn't the case, Robert jobbed to Dusty in his first major match and then put him over afterward. The new ownership will bring many changes to Florida, and a partnership with the other Fuller Family owned promotion SECW. Some talents like Tom Zenk, David Sammartino and others decided not to remain in Florida and left, while other talents like the Fantastics, Sam Houston and Mr. Wrestling II will all be making their home in Florida. Things are getting interesting in the Sunshine State!

Mario, this changing of the guard was tastefully well done. Kudos for that. I am intrigued to see what you do with Nick Kiniski. McGraw and Sammartino wrestling each other was interesting. Hoping that Taylor and Windham remain a team and continue to challenge the Midnight Express.

Loved the end of Ash hanging Corporal, great conclusion. The Fantastics pick up a big win and it won't be long before they are knocking on the US Tag Champs door, no matter who the title holders are. Great main event from Fuller and Dusty as well. Just an outstanding night of action all around.
Can't wait to see what working arrangements pop up between us along the way. Even if it's just talent swaps and me getting to run Pensacola on occasion, should be fun. Great work here my friend.
Peace Jeff

Assassin taking Falcon's mask is pretty cool. Fantastics are going to be good here, them and the MX always mixed it up real well so I am looking forward to them meeting here in Florida. Dusty calling out Orndorff at the end was a nice touch to keep the feud in people's mind. I always enjoy people taking it to another level with backstage stuff like the WON reporting, fun stuff esp with the Fuller-Dusty friction I can really see that happening and Dusty not liking Fuller coming in. IRL most people hated Fuller as a booker cause they felt he was lazy. If I recall correctly it actually led to a mass walk out in SECW in the early 80's, so Dusty and "his crew" could be very cautious of Fuller coming in and bringing people with him.
