After the match, Jim Ross explains that due to agreements between Mid South Wrestling, the Mid South Television Network, and various broadcast partners, the main event from the Superdome card cannot be shown on television, but photos are shown of the match between Magnum TA and Michael Hayes for the North American title. Jim: “Lets go right now to the scene backstage at the Superdome right after this title win by Michael Hayes.
Joel Watts is backstage with the Freebirds, lead by a bloody Michael Hayes, and they are opening champagne and spraying it over the place! Terry hands Michael a bottle of Jack Daniels and Michael takes a big swig of it as BILL WATTS enters with the North America belt:

Bill: “Michael Hayes, I am here as a representative of Mid South Wrestling, King of Sports, and in that function and not as a TV announcer or commentator, I am here to congratulate you and award you with the Mid South North American Heavyweight title belt.
BILL WALKS AWAY AS THE FREEBIRDS HOOT AND HOLLER AND SPRAY MORE CHAMPAGNE ALL OVER THE PLACE!
Michael: “THAT’S RIGHT BILL WATTS WALK AWAY, HOLD YER TONGUE AND WALK AWAY BOY, BECAUSE THERE’S NUTHIN YOU CAN SAY THAT WILL TAKE THIS BELT AWAY FROM THE FREEBIRDS, BADSTREET USA, TAKING OVER RASSLIN COAST TO COAST!
Joel: “Michael Hayes, you and I are close friends, but my father is right, he’s here to award, not judge, but let me tell you what I saw tonight: I saw an incapacitated referee, Magnum TA covering YOU, and then this man, Terry Gordy, run in, knocks out Magnum, and pulls you over HIM. Dont you feel how you won tonight tarnishes your title win?
Michael: “JOEL JOEL JOEL, let me ask you a question, who hires the officials here in Mid South Rasslin?

Michael: “OF WHICH, your Daddy is a member! Now your daddy walked out of here with a sour puss on his face when he handed me this title belt, but the bottom line is it is not my fault if he has hired an incompetent official that can't protect himself in the ring! And Brother, if you are within a MILE of the Freebirds, you best protect yourself at ALL TIMES because the moment you look away, WHAM! WE COMIN TO BE THIEVEN!
“Now one more thing Joel Watts, take a look at this face. TAKE A LOOK AT THE BLOOD! You know why I’m drinking this JD? Because I probably gotta get 30 stitches in mah face, and its to kill the pain, so are YOU tellin me I didn’t earn this belt?

“A Freebird will drink a bar dry, and bleed to the last drop, before he says Uncle and tonight Michael PS Hayes gave every single drop of blood he could shed to EARN, THAT’S RIGHT EARN THE NORTH AMERICAN TITLE AND MAGNUM TA, IF YOU WANT THIS TITLE BACK, you best not only be prepared to bleed the last drop, but to get through BAMM BAMM AND BUDDY JACK if you want to take this title back off me! This also take two segments, the show closes with Ken Mantell taking Mosca and Khan to a fancy white tablecloth restaurant to celebrate! Mosca is given plate after plate of spaghetti, and Killer Khan is given raw meat, which he eats and flaps all over the table! Table after table of patrons leave in disgust as Khan covers the tablecloth with blood eating the raw meat!
