5) CWA Heavyweight Champion Tommy “Wildfire” Rich defeated The Dirty White Boy via pinfall at 10:22 with a Lou Thesz Press. Dutch Mantell came out the after match and challenged Rich to face him next week in a Best 2/3 Falls match, which Tommy accepted! Rich challenged Dutch to come into the ring for a fight, but Mantell waved him off and walked away.
6) Southern Tag Team Champions The Gilberts: “Hotstuff” Eddie Gilbert & Tommy Gilbert (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeated Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong via pinfall at 13:35 when Eddie Gilbert rolled up Steve Armstrong to score the win. The finish saw The Moondogs come out and surround Tracy Smothers on the apron, distracting Armstrong and lead to Eddie Gilbert getting a win. The Rock n’ Roll Express ran down after the bell and helped Smothers and Armstrong run off The Gilberts and The Moondogs.
7) Southern Heavyweight Champion King Kong Bundy & Adrian Adonis (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeated Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler & Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts via pinfall at 17:11 when Bundy used the Avalanche Splash to pin Lawler, but he only stayed down for a three count. The finish saw all four men brawl in the ring. Jake went for a knee lift on Adonis, but Adrian moved and Jake drove his knee into Lawler’s back from behind. Jake looked down at Lawler for a second, but then turned around and began firing on Adonis, sending both of them tumbling out to the floor. Bundy immediately hit the ropes and hit a big splash and made the cover. Bundy rolled off Lawler just after three and did not even attempt a five count. Jake tended to Lawler in the ring after the match.
