Jimmy Golden, ‘Mr. Perfect’ Jerry Stubbs, and the ‘South African Assassin’ Boomer T. Lynch led by their manager, The Tennessee Stud Ron Fuller fought a wild brawl against Tonga Kid, Scott Armstrong, and Johnny Rich, Rat Patrol, Inc. After several swings in momentum and breakdowns in control, the Stud Stable was able to single out Scott Armstrong and Golden was able to pin the youngster @ 21’19 after connecting with a devastating piledriver

The defending champions, Arn Anderson and Pat Rose, are led to the ring by the Tennessee Stud, and have had an amazing Fall after injuring Steve and Bob Armstrong and have established themselves as the team to beat in the tag team hotbed of the Southeast. The new kids on the block, Marty Jannetty and Tommy Prichard, the Midnight Rebels have quickly established themselves as one of the hottest teams in wrestling, and this match more than lives up to the hype. Arn and Marty are a perfect match up and seem to find one another more often than not. Prichard is really on fire tonight, makes timely saves, and changes the momentum at every given opportunity. The Midnight Rebels proved their worth as they caught Precious Pat with their devastating backdrop into a powerbomb combo finisher and picked up the victory @ 18’54.

‘Universal Heartthrob’ Austin Idol
Months of build have come down to this one, all-important contest. Mr. Wrestling’s grip on the Southeastern title has been tight, to say the least, but ‘The Boss,’ has been a thorn in his side during the entire tenure, even shortly unseating the all-time great. Much like in previous encounters, Mr. Wrestling has a grappling advantage, especially in the early going, but becomes frustrated with his inability to keep the resourceful Idol grounded. The former Las Vegas Golden Gloves champion has the crowd firmly on his side and continues to fight back from every disadvantage faced. Idol now begins to work over the legs of Wrestling II, obviously preparing him for the Las Vegas Leg Lock, but II reverses into an inside cradle, he grabs the tights, 1……2…….NO! Idol kicked out and II can’t believe it! He boots Idol in the gut, he hits the ropes, MILLION DOLLAR KNEE LIFT! NO! Idol catches the leg, takes II down, LAS VEGAS LEG LOCK! LAS VEGAS LEG LOCK! Wrestling II is howling in pain, he fights it as long as he can, but the grappling great has no choice, he submits @ 16’01

NIGHTMARE (Texas Death) CAGE MATCH
Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner, the Lightning Express
If the Lightning Express win the Nightmares must unmask!
The stakes in this one could not be any higher! After months of back and forth feuding between two of the best tag teams in the sport, it has come down to this, a Texas Death Match inside a steel cage, with no possibility of the switcheroo! Horner and Flash square off to kick things off and the Nightmares jump out to the early advantage, even getting an early fall on Horner who made it to his feet at the count of 4. Armstrong makes his presence felt, clearing the ring, and giving his partner the opportunity to make the tag. Brad is really taking the fight to Speed, but Flash attacks him from behind, sending him into the cage and busting him wide open! Horner takes Flash out, but is unable to prevent Speed from taking a fall on Brad who is able to scratch to his feet at the count of 6!
We approach the 20 minute mark, and have seen 5 falls in this wild, brutal battle. All four men are weary and worn, and tags have flown out the window. Flash and Speed have locked Horner up in the ropes and are forcing him to watch as they beat down Brad Armstrong. Bombs away from Flash off the top rope as Speed has Brad locked in the Boston Crab, and another pinfall has the Nightmares celebrating. Horner is trying his damndest to get out of the ropes as the count hits 7, Brad is finally beginning to stir and makes it to his feet at 9! That was close!
As the Nightmares go back after Brad, HORNER ESCAPES THE ROPES! Fists and fire come raining down on both Nightmares and Horner is all business! He climbs to the top rope and flies, DOUBLE CROSS BODY, and he checks on Brad, who is reenergized, and now the Lightning Express are all over the Nightmares! Side Russian Leg Sweep to Speed, followed by the LE double teaming Speed and ripping away at his mask as blood begins to pour out of it! Now they lock him in the ropes!! Horner and Armstrong have Speed tied up and now turn their attentions to Flash. Flash tastes all 4 cage walls and is bleeding like a hog. Side Russian Leg Sweep! Top Rope Elbow Drop! 1……2……3! Ding Ding.
1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10! The Lightning Express Have Done it! The Nightmares must unmask! Speed is locked in the ropes, and now Flash joins his partner locked in the ropes on the far side! The Garrett Coliseum is erupting with anticipation as Horner and Armstrong unmask the dastardly duo…
KEN WAYNE AND DANNY DAVIS HAVE BEEN UNMASKED IN MONTGOMERY!!!
