Special Attraction
LED ZEPPELIN’S BLACK DOG led Miss Sunshine and her boys, ‘Gorgeous’ Gary Young and ‘Suicide Blonde’ Jack Victory to the ring. That is when BILLY IDOL’S REBEL YELL blasted, and the Boutwell Auditorium was on their feet in anticipation…
MARTY JANNETTY AND TOM PRICHARD come firing out of the back, introduced as THE MIDNITE REBELS!
Young and Victory had no idea who to prepare for in this one, and decided to kick this one off with brawling. But Jannetty and Prichard were well-prepared and used their speed and dynamic offense heavy style to keep Sunshine’s boys on the ropes! The tandem offense, speed, and precision of the Rebels were more than the talented duo of Young and Victory could handle without the proper preparation and the Rebels finished the Gorgeous One off when Prichard backdropped him into the waiting arms of Jannetty who powerbombed Young to the mat and picked up the victory @ 12’01

Match 7
1 Fall 30 Minute Time Limit
FOR THE ALABAMA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Defending champion Porkchop Cash was in for the toughest test of his championship reign as he went one on one with Mr. Perfect Jerry Stubbs. Stubbs’ style is vastly different than that of Gary Young and Jack Victory who Cash has been preoccupied with in recent weeks, and Stubbs nearly took the strap many times in the early going, but the Boss knew he couldn’t take the piledriver and backdropped out of it every time Stubbs went for it. The Choppa showed his championship mettle as he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in a contest he was clearly losing on points, as he reversed Stubbs’ attempted bodyslam into an inside cradle @ 13’16

Match 8
1 Fall 30 Minute Time Limit
One half of the Southeastern Tag Team Champions, ‘Precious’ Pat Rose was led to the ring by his manager The Tennessee Stud to meet one half of the Lightning Express, Brad Armstrong. In an outstanding back and forth contest that kept the Birmingham fans on the edge of their seat, Pat showed how resourceful he could be as he rolled through Brad’s high cross body from the top rope, grabbed a handful of tights and was able to keep Armstrong down for the pinfall @ 15’15
SEMI FINAL
BIRMINGHAM STREETFIGHT
VS
LED ZEPPELIN’S KASHMERE wailed across the PA system and brought out Double A, Arn Anderson in his jeans, cowboy boots, and taped fists. Just then GEORGE THOROGOOD’S B-B-B-BAD TO THE BONE brought out Bob Armstrong, dressed exactly like Anderson, the Bullet was ready for action! This one started out at the ringside area and saw both men use everything not nailed down. Armstrong and Anderson seemingly had opportunities to go for pinfalls, but instead chose to batter their opponent even further. In a very scary spot Double A hotshotted Bob down, throat first, across the steel guardrail at ringside. Referee Mac Murray wanted to stop the bout, but each time he attempted to Bob stopped him. Anderson was highly pleased with himself, and thought he had this one in the bag. But the fighting spirit of Bob Armstrong led him to a surprise victory when he reversed Anderson’s Ghordbuster into an inside cradle and picked up the pinfall @ 22’12.
After the contest an obviously injured Bob Armstrong didn’t have time to celebrate as Double A took the Tennessee Stud’s cane and viciously attacked Bob. Just as Arn was about to try and end the Bullet’s career by going after the throat with the cane, SCOTT AND BRAD ARMSTRONG RUSHED TO THE RING and chased off Anderson and Fuller and checked on their dad who needed their assistance to the back
MAIN EVENT
1 FALL NO TIME LIMIT
SURVIVAL ELIMINATION
FOR THE SOUTHEASTERN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Two wrestlers begin the contest inside the squared circle while two wrestlers are in their corners. Tags have to be made, and once elimination occurs the loser of the fall must go to the back. Wrestling II’s strategy is to spend as much time on the apron as possible; hoping down anytime anyone is looking for the tag. Jimmy Golden ends up the workhorse of the contest as Austin Idol and Tonga Kid work like a tag team, tagging one another in and out, trying to stay fresh, and hopefully eliminating Golden before ending up alone for the title. All’s fine and well until TK misses the superfly splash off the top rope and Golden puts the boots to him. Golden begins working over the ribcage of TK, taking his wind away. Now seems like the appropriate time for Wrestling II who blind tags Golden and comes in fresh as a daisy.
Wrestling II is doing everything he can to put the Tonga Kid away, but the proud islander refuses to stay down. Even the million dollar knee lift betrayed II as TK ended up too close to the ropes. As Tonga began to gather his second wind, he lands a big headbutt on II and knocks him silly, quickly II tags in Golden who was talking strategy with Tennessee Stud and is arguing with Wrestling II and gets the taste kicked right out of his mouth with a standing savate kick from Kid! TK hooks the leg, 1…..2……3!! JIMMY GOLDEN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!
The Tennessee Stud is blowing a gasket on the apron with referee and Jimmy Golden takes advantage of the opportunity, he blasts Austin Idol, and then dumps Tonga Kid to the floor. Golden is scrubbing TK’s face into the floor and then posts him! Golden rolls a motionless Tonga Kid back into the ring, and Austin Idol goes after Golden for sucker punching him a minute ago! The veteran, Mr. Wrestling II, gets Ron West’s attention, he shoots the half on TK, locks up the three quarter nelson, 1…..2…….3!! THE TONGA KID HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!
Golden is very pleased with himself, and gives The Tonga Kid one more parting boot to the head as he and the Tennessee Stud exit to a chorus of boos. As officials help TK to the back, this elimination match has boiled down to Mr. Wrestling II and Austin Idol. The wrestling genius of II has him feeling much fresher than Idol does, and it shows as II gets all the grappling advantages on the Heartthrob. II gets several near falls, but is unable to put Idol away. That is when the Birmingham crowd’s roars get louder, and louder, and louder until Idol finally battles back up to his feet. Idol blocks a forearm shot from II and starts peppering the grappling legend with rights and lefts. Idol is firing up now and drops a big leg across the head for a count of two and seven eighths! Idol fires Wrestling II into the turnbuckle hard, and follows him in for an Avalanche Splash, but II drops down out of the way and Austin Idol BUSTS HIMSELF OPEN ON THE RINGPOST!
Now Wrestling II goes to town on the bloody as all hell Austin Idol, pulling no punches II digs into the cut making it wider and wider until Idol’s face is virtually unrecognizable. A big headbutt from II drops Idol, Mr. Wrestling bounces off the ropes and drops a knee down across the head of Austin, he hooks him up tight, 1……2…………..NO!!! Idol kicks out. A frustrated II bounces off the ropes again going for another knee drop, but IDOL ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! A fired up Universal Heartthrob quickly hops up and locks the Las Vegas Leg Lock onto Wrestling II! He’s got him! Wrestling II is squealing in pain, but won’t give it up. He finally makes the ropes and Idol is forced to break the hold, II drags himself up in the corner, with just the ropes holding him up, Idol charges again, II turns and they crash heads! Idol falls like a heap, II falls ON TOP OF IDOL! West has no choice, Idol’s shoulders are down and he is covered, 1…….2……………….3!!! AUSTIN IDOL HAS BEEN ELIMNATED!
Your winner @ a time of 48'51, ANNNNNND NEWWWWWW Southeastern Heavyweight Champion, Mr. Wrestling II
