JESSE: I’m sure that Ric Flair will send a message to the Stinger before they wrestle for the held up World Title tomorrow night at Slamboree!
ZYBYSKO: Sting will also be in action against a tough Brit, Squire David Taylor!
TONY: Also, the Steiners will defend the World Tag Team Titles tonight against the Headbangers, Mosh and Thrasher!
JESSE: The Hardliners will be watching that match very closely, Schiavone! They challenge for the belts at Slamboree!
TONY: Let’s go to the ring right now for the WCW debut of the man who will face Ahmed Johnson at Slamboree!
Mikey Whipwreck paces nervously in the ring. We hear his opponent’s music and a look of sheer terror crosses the youngster’s face!

Ravishing Rick Rude(w/Sherri Martel) & Lord Steven Regal vs. Tazmaniac & Rob Van Dam: Rude and Regal were humiliated by these two opponents last week and are looking for payback. The heels do get a portion of their heat back today as Regal pins Taz after nailing him with brass knucks that Sherri passed to him.

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Sid Vicious, & “The Total Package” Lex Lugar (w/Ole Anderson) vs. The Durango Kid, Scotty Riggs, Lee Scott, King Kahlua: This is obviously intended to be a showcase for the Horsemen and for the most part, it is exactly that. Scotty Riggs does make a good showing in the match. The announce team really put Riggs over(even Jesse!) In the end, it’s not enough. Vicious powerbombs Lee Scott and that should do it, but Ole and Flair demand that the Nature Boy be tagged in! Flair comes in and applies the figure four on Scott! Flair gets a quick submission out of his opponent, but refuses to release the hold! Fortunately, the calvary arrives! STING! THE STEINERS! RICKY STEAMBOAT! Flair finally breaks the hold and the Horsemen exit the ring!

GENE: The US Tag Team Title tournament takes place on June 2 at the Omni, here in Atlanta. Tickets available now at the box office and all of the usual outlets. This historic event will not be televised, so if you want to see history being made, you have to be there! RIGGS: Mean Gene, I’ve had what my grandma used to call “buzzard luck” when it comes to tag team partners recently. Marcus and me were the American Males. Marcus got a good opportunity and he took advantage of it. No problems with Marcus. I wish him well and he’ll always be a friend. So, when I heard about this tournament, I started shopping for a partner. Paul Orndorff was available and he agreed to team up with me for the tournament. So, I applied and we were accepted. Then, the promoters in Australia and New Zealand made Paul an offer for a tour over there. And the offer was for more money than most people make in ten years. There’s no way he could turn that down! So, I’m scurrying around, looking for a tag team partner!
VOICE: (Off screen) Hey! Hey! It’s your lucky day!
Diamond Dallas Paige arrives, he’s wearing a headset mic.
DDP: The name is Diamond Dallas Paige and I am an expert on tag teams. As a manager, I have led world championship tag teams to greatness! I got sick and tired of standing in the background because I am destined to be a star! Diamond Dallas Paige the manager doesn’t exist! He’s been replaced by Diamond Dallas Paige, wrestling superstar! Scotty Riggs, I see potential in you, buddy! I think we could win that tournament and be the US Tag Team Champions! What do ya say? (offers Riggs a handshake).
RIGGS: (shakes DDP’s hand) Best offer I’ve had in a long time!

Harlem Heat vs. The Blue Yankee & Wild Bill Irwin: Harlem Heat is entered in the US Tag Tournament and they face the Bruise Brothers at Slamboree. They look ready for anything here. Booker gets the pin on the Blue Yankee following a Harlem Hangover.

The Bruise Brothers vs. The UK Express: At first, Finlay and Smith use quick tags and athleticism to keep the Bruise Brothers off balance. When the match degenerates into a brawl, that’s right up Ron and Don’s ally and they take control! Finlay gets tossed out of the ring and they tie Smith up in the ropes. The Bruisers take turns kicking the restrained Smith in the face. Finally, referee Nick patrick has no choice but to stop the match! Ron and Don will not let up! Whenever Finlay attempts to enter the ring, he gets clobbered! Harlem Heat hits the ring! Booker T and Stevie Ray go nose to hose with Ron & Don Harris! Finally, WCW official Michael Hayes runs out and helps Patrick restore order.

World Tag Team Title Match: Rick & Scott Steiner(c) vs. The Headbangers: Mosh and Thrasher give the Steiners a run for their money and manage to score a few near falls. Colonel Robert Parker and his Hardliners make their way to ringside and it appears like they are their to scout their opponents for tomorrow night. We find out what’s really going on when Rick misses a steinerline on Thrasher and goes sprawling through the ropes and down to the floor. Murdoch and Slater show their true intentions as they double suplex Rick on the floor! Then, along with parker, they put the boots to Steiner! Scott grabs a chair and runs them off! Tomorrow night at Slamboree is gonna be hot!
