Coming to you LIVE from the Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, MS
Saturday Night 10/12/84

Referees in charge of the action: Ron West, Bobby Simmons, and Mac Murray
1 Fall 20 Minute Time Limit
Roy Lee Welch and the tag team in high demand across our great land, Jimmy Backlund and ‘Ragin Bull’ Randy Barber took on Brickhouse Brown and The Cowboys, Bobby Garrett and Tony Falk. This was an all action, opening encounter that saw Welch and Brown continue their discontent, to the point where Brick’s attentions on Welch kept him from being able to assist his partners, and proved costly as Backlund and Barber hit Garrett with an Atomic Drop/Diving Bulldog Headlock combination for the victory @ 11’22

Frankie ‘Thumper’ Lancaster was already in the ring as LED ZEPPELIN’S BLACK DOG brought Miss Sunshine, this time leading her man Jack Victory to the ring. These young, well put together athletes are looking to break big in the wrestling business and went all out for a win here Biloxi. A timely distraction from Miss Sunshine allowed Victory an extra moment to recover from Frankie’s belly to back suplex and bridge. This distraction could not save Jacko though as a diving shoulder block from Lancaster enabled him to pick up a victory @ 13’44

Once again LED ZEPPELIN’S BLACK DOG brought out Miss Sunshine, this time with her main man, ‘Gorgeous’ Gary Young who is hot on the trail of Porkchop Cash’s Alabama Heavyweight Title. Tonight he takes on a former champion in ‘Goldenboy’ Jerry Grey. Grey gave Young all he could handle, and then some, but the gorgeous one proved to be a resourceful one as he countered Grey’s attempted suplex into a Brainbuster and picked up the win @ 18’01

The rugged and established Josef Malenko brought all of his Japanese and family credentials to the ring with him here in Biloxi as he took on the up and coming Tom Prichard, who lived up to the hype taking it to the superior grappler in the early going with his fast paced brand of offense. One big mistake led to Malenko taking over for a significant portion of the match, punishing the youngster’s shoulder. Prichard proved to have as much determination as he does speed, and fought through the agony to catch Malenko with a picture perfect dropkick and follow it up with a bombs away knee drop from the top rope to pick up a hard earned victory @ 26’14

In a return home to the Gulf Coast Territory, The Masked Assassins were threatening every man, woman, and child in the front row. Just then ELO’S DON’T BRING ME DOWN led one of the most popular duo’s in all of SECW, Johnny Rich and Scott Armstrong of RAT Patrol, Inc. to the ring, much to the delight of the jam packed coliseum. The Assassin’s proved to be talented grapplers, but proved an even better affinity for bending the rules! There is nothing that the Rich or Armstrong family has not seen before and was able to withstand the onslaught. Assassin #1 loaded the mask as #2 had Armstrong seemingly dead to rights, but Armstrong reversed the advantage and #1 crashed into #2 and put his lights out, allowing Armstrong to pick up the victory @ 14’02
That is not the bigger story here though as the Assassins jumped Johnny and Scott after the bell and were really putting a beating on the popular duo, as the third member of the RAT Patrol, the Tonga Kid, came running to his partner’s aid. But where TK is, Wrestling II and III are certainly not far behind, especially on a night when TK has a title shot. And much like in Montgomery back in August, with Johnny and Scotty out of the picture thanks to the Masked Assassins, II and III put a severe beating on TK. They had him flat on his face inside the ring, and from the outside each man had one of TK’s arms and viciously yanked him directly into the ringpost! The same maneuver that left TK out of action for 4 weeks! Mr. Wrestling II was very pleased with himself as SECW crew members came to check out the Tonga Kid, what does this mean for tonight’s main event title match???!

STEVIE RAY VAUGHN’S VOODOO CHILE brought to the ring Mr. Perfect Jerry Stubbs and his manager The Tennessee Stud Ron Fuller, tonight teaming with the South African Assassin Boomer T. Lynch to a chorus of boos from the raucous MS crowd. Tonight their opponents are the duo of the raw boned and hungry youngster Otto ‘Tugger’ Higgns and veteran Jerry Oates. Oates and Stubbs have had bad blood for a long time and fought tooth and nail at every available opportunity, the tag team awareness of Oates kept him from getting caught in the wrong part of town. Unfortunately the inexperience of the Tugger didn’t allow him to catch on to the games of Stubbs and Lynch until it was too late. Stubbs softened the big guy up, tagged in his menacing partner Lynch who put the big youngster away with a falling headbutt from the second rope @ 12’56

FOR THE ALABAMA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC’S ATOMIC DOG brought the defending champion, the Chopper, Porkchop Cash to the ring, dancing and smiling very much to the pleasure of this capacity crowd. Tonight though, Cash was in for his toughest defense to date as ZZ TOP’S BEER DRINKERS AND HELLRAISERS brought Jimmy Golden and his manager The Tennessee Stud to ringside. In a wild affair that saw Jimmy Golden nearly dethrone Cash multiple times, and really do a number on the champ’s leg in preparation for the Fuller Leg Lock, the Mississippi crowd rallied behind Ole Porkchop and kept him in the fight. A devastating butt bump from the big man sent Golden crashing to the floor! The Chopper was preparing to suplex Jimmy outside back in, but Ron Fuller grabbed hold of Cash’s leg preventing the move. Cash took out after Fuller, and just as he got his hands on him, Jimmy Golden met him with a clubbing blow to the back of the head. As the brawl ensued outside, neither man was aware of Ref. Bobby Simmons count, and this one resulted in a double countout @ 18’18.
After the bout Porkchop got the house fired up with a double noggin’ knocker to Fuller and Golden that sent the duo quickly scurrying to higher ground, and the Chopper celebrated with his people as George Clinton played over the PA System!

RUSH’S LIMELIGHT brought to the ring, arguably, the most popular duo in all of professional wrestling, Tim Horner and Brad Armstrong, the Lightning Express! Those cheers quickly turned to jeers as KISS’S GOD OF WAR brought out Speed and Flash the Nightmares! The latest chapter in Southeastern Championship Wrestling’s hottest rivalry did not disappoint as these two teams went at it tooth and nail, and really emptied the gas tank in this one. Familiarity between the teams has set in at this point as the Nightmares were able to avoid not only Brad’s side Russian Leg Sweep, but also avoid Timmy’s Lightning Dropkick from the top rope. But the popular duo had more tricks up their sleeve. What familiarity cannot prepare them for is the Nightmares’ trusty “switcheroo.” Just as Brad seemingly had Flash ready for the finish, he choose the wrong time to tag out, allowing Speed to slide his partner to safety and play possum as Horner came in. When Timmy bent over to put the Nightmare away, Speed caught him with a vicious boot to the teeth, followed it up with an equally vicious double foot stomp to the guts, he hooks the leg, 1……..2…….. and a handful of tights, 3! The Nightmares have stolen another one @ 28’28

Semi Final
FOR THE SOUTHEASTERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
1 Fall 60 Minute Time Limit
GEORGE THOROGOOD’S BAD TO THE BONE got the Gulf Coast Coliseum rocking as Bob and Steve Armstrong made their way to the ring in preparation for their shot at the tag team gold. Just then the familiar intro of ZEPPELIN’S KASHMERE brings out Double A Arn Anderson and Precious Pat Rose w/Tennessee Stud. This one had everything you could ask for in your tag team championship encounter deep in the heart of tag team country; fine wrestling, effective tag team strategy, and plenty of blood and guts hatred. Once again it was Arn Anderson and Bullet Bob whose bitterness for one another turned this encounter into a brawl. The Enforcer was getting the best of the Bullet on the outside, busting him open after a shot to the ringpost, which allowed the champs some alone time with Steve. Steve did well in one on one wrestling situations, his problem was that the champs are well-versed in putting out the fire that keeps a young wrestler going through the hard times. Just as Arn was preparing to put Steve away with his patent Ghordbuster, the Bullet made his presence felt once again! With his face a bloody mess, Bob tore into Anderson with a fire that these fans have come to know quite well. The tag team wrestling genius of Arn shone through as in the midst of the chaos tagged in Pat, and then took his butt whoopin’ on the floor. While this was going on Precious Pat put the finishing touches on Steve Armstrong, and a Hangman’s Neck Breaker sealed the victory for the champs @ 41’14.
After the bell, Bob realized that his son had been pinned, and even though Arn had just taken a severe beating, his partner and manager picked him up, draped his title over his shoulder, and Double A pointed to his temple, knowing he had taken one for the team here tonight!

MAIN EVENTFOR THE SOUTHEASTERN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
1 Fall 60 Minute Time Limit
The legendary champion Mr. Wrestling II swaggered his way to the ring with a big smile on his face, knowing full well that the Tonga Kid would not be able to compete after what he and III had done to the island warrior’s shoulder out here earlier. While the cantankerous one was letting all of Biloxi know just how much smarter than they he was, II demanded that referee Ron West make the 10 count, and declare him the winner by forfeit. As bad as he hated to do it, Ronnie had no choice…
BILLY JOEL’S YOU MAY BE RIGHT/LUNATIC BLARES!!!
THE BOSS AUSTIN IDOL!!! Makes his way to ringside and the crowd is going ape shit! He tears his shirt off, and then tears into Mr. Wrestling II. Idol is all over the champ with rights and lefts; delivering them as only the form Nevada State Golden Gloves Champ can. A big clothesline drops II, Idol follows it up with a big legdrop. He hooks the leg? Ronnie West is counting??? 1…….2……….3!!!! The bell rings.
RONNIE WEST HAS DECLARED AUSTIN IDOL THE NEW SOUTHEASTERN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!
And the Gulf Coast Coliseum loves every minute of it! Mr. Wrestling II is throwing a fit, yelling at everyone, II draws back like he is going to nail referee Ronnie West, but he eats a dropkick from the Universal Heartthrob, and III finally comes down and escorts his mentor to the back as Austin Idol grabs the house mic,
