Match #1
Global Light Heavyweight Championship
“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (Champion) w/Woman vs. “Flamboyant” Eric Embry
There two have gone back and forth over the light heavyweight title. Woman is always a threat at ringside. Referee Gary DeRusha calls for the bell. Both men trade holds and counter holds. The action is fast paced. Things begin to go Embry’s way, and Gilbert is frustrated. He rolls out of the ring and confers with Woman. He returns and begins to rough up Eric. Embry is ready for it, and the match gets more physical. Both have their chances. Gilbert takes Embry down near the ropes. He covers him, and uses the ropes for leverage. DeRusha does not see this, and counts the fall. Embry argues, but to no avail. The Champion gets a cheap win.
Winner- Eddie Gilbert
We see Demolition and the Genius.
Genius, “Look at my team, with their power, and my intelligence, we will be the Champion!”

As the match continues they warm to the Freebirds. The match is fast paced, and physical. Biddy Roberts moves around ringside, he is always a threat. The Genius seems confused. This is not what he was prepared for. All four men end up in the ring. Referee Earl Hebner can’t control the action. He calls for the bell, and disqualifies both teams. The story is…the Freebirds are back!
Result- Double Disqualification
Mean Gene Okerlund is with the Freebirds.
Okerlund, “What a bombshell! The Freebirds are the Global Tag Team Champions! Gentlemen, you’re back!”

Okerlund, “You heard the cheers of the crowd tonight.”
Hayes, “If you want to cheer us fine, we ain’t changing the way we wrestle!”
Okerlund, “The Freebirds are back!”
We see Austin Idol.

Two Southern legends meet in this one. Joey Marella is your official. Both men are veterans, and wrestle a very intelligent match. The action goes back, and forth. Idol gets a two count, but the Champion kicks out. Things begin to go Lawler’s way, and it looks like Lawler is in control. Idol rallies. He traps Lawler in the Las Vegas leglock. It looks we may have a title change. The King fights his way to the ropes, and the hold is broken. The damage has been done. Idol continues the attack on Lawler’s leg.
