The National Wrestling Alliance and Southeastern Championship Wrestling Proudly Present:
Oktoberfest 84 on Tour!
Coming to you LIVE from the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, Al
Friday Night 10/4
7 PM Bell Time
Referees in charge of the action: Ron West, Bobby Simmons, and Mac Murray
The youngster from Southaven, MS, Brickhouse Brown took on the Ragin Bull from the Mississippi Delta, Randy Barber in a back and forth opening contest. After battling through every dirty trick in the book the big Brick picked up the duke after a swinging neck breaker @ 9’01
Mr. Naka and Mr. Koba, the Rising Suns hooked it up with Roy Lee Welch and the monstrous Hacksaw Higgins. The junior heavies matched up well against each other, seeing the young boys from Japan nearly have Welch in a predicament after Kobayashi locked in the Octopus hold but a boot to the side of the head from Higgins allowed Roy Lee to lock in the Welch’s family secret Figure Four Leglock for the victory @ 10’41
George Thorogood’s “Bad to the Bone” led Steve Armstrong to the ring as he locked up with “In High Demand” Jimmy Backlund. While Steve was shaking hands and kissing babies Backlund grabbed the mic from ring announcer Freddie Miller and said that Armstrong needed to pick up the pace, he had places to be, and jobs to do, he was hot property across this great country! After an early advantage, Steve Armstrong obliged him after picking up a pinfall @ 7’22 after a solid shoulder block from the middle rope.
The Tennessee Volunteers ‘Cowboy’ Tony Falk and ‘Lookout’ Bobby Garrett waited in the ring as Stevie Ray Vaughn’s “Voodoo Chile” brought out Stud Stable members South African Boomer T. Lynch and Mr. Perfect with Ron Fuller. The Volunteers gave the Stable all they could handle. It was the power and experience edge that got Stubbs and Boomer the advantage, Stubbs had Falk locked in his Perfect Leg Lock and Lynch delivered a rib rattling splash that preceded a 3 count @ 12’22
Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmere” can mean only one thing,
ARN ANDERSON and PAT ROSE!!!
Their opponents come out to the familiar “Don’t Bring me Down” by the Electric Light Orchestra
SCOTT ARMSTRONG and JOHNNY RICH!!!
Southeastern Tag Team Championship
©Arn Anderson and ‘Precious’ Pat Rose w/Ron Fuller vs. Rat Patrol, Inc. members Scott Armstrong and Johnny Rich
Scott Armstrong and Pat Rose might be the most evenly matched wrestlers in all of SECW and displayed back and forth, chain, catch-as-catch can grappling that would make Johnny Walker pleased, but it was the Einstein-esque Tag Team strategy that is the Anderson birth right that made a big difference. Arn and Pat cut the ring off and dissected the shoulder of the baby Armstrong. Scotty has the fire his family is so well known for and was able to tag out to Johnny, who came in FISTS AND FIRE! He had the champs rocking and rolling, and had Rose covered for a count of 5 easily with the Lou Thesz press, what he didn’t know was that Arn had made a blind tag and planted the unsuspecting Johnny Rich with a DDT and Ron West could’ve counted to 30 after 32’32

First match after the intermission saw the massive Hacksaw Higgins from Stone Mountain Georgia take on the masked Galaxian Alpha, and in a glorified squash Higgins impressed all those in attendance. After squeezing the masked man nearly unconscious the big man pivoted directly into a belly to belly suplex and hold to pick up the victory @ 6’18Parliament Funkadelic’s “Atomic Dog” hits, bringing out the Alabama Heavyweight Champion to a thunderous reaction here at the Garrett Coliseum!
defends against the lovely but shady Miss Sunshine's charge "Gorgeous" Gary Young who appropriately come out to Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog"
Porkchop Cash’s opponent, the Gorgeous One, Gary Young along with the beautiful but shady Miss Sunshine were all business and took it to the Porkster from the openingbell. Young had things well under control, but paid the ultimate price for toying with Cash instead of putting him away. He ate the leaping booty bump, a diving head butt from the middle rope, and a running powerslam that sealed a successful title defense for Porkchop Cash @ 10’06
Up next is one of the most heated rivalries in all of professional wrestling, Rush’s “Limelight” blares across the PA System welcoming THE LIGHTNING EXPRESS!!!
Vs
The Nightmares who are accompanied by KISS’ “God of Thunder” and their buddy Rapid is sent to the back!
It didn’t take long for Speed and Flash to re-open the deep laceration sustained by Tim Horner in Dothan this past Wednesday and it looked like a horror movie scene in there! Luckily for Horner it made it a bit easier to slip out of precarious situations. He tagged in his partner, who came in a man possessed delivering dropkicks, clotheslines, forearms, and running knee lifts to anything wearing a mask. Only so long the numbers game did play a factor though. That is when Horner reinserted himself into the contest, and it was Katie bar the door! Horner and Flash, and Armstrong and Speed are going at it tooth and nail, without thought of consequence. Seemingly as Ref. Bobby Simmons was going to throw this one out, he was taken down from behind by the brawl! At this point Flash was really taking it to Horner, but that didn’t stop Armstrong from doing work on Speed. Flash hits a diving elbow drop, Armstrong hits his Russian Leg Sweep and floats over, Simmons is coming to, 1………2………..3!!!
Armstrong is celebrating! But so is Flash! Now Flash and Armstrong are arguing, and now fighting!!! Freddie Miller makes the announcement that as a result of a double pin, this match has been declared a NO CONTEST!! Finally the locker rooms clear out and are finally able to separate the teams…

Idol is really doing a number on Golden’s knees now, setting him up for the Las Vegas Leg Lock, but The Tennessee Stud see’s the writing on the wall and jumps up on the apron. Just like in Dothan, Idol is able to get his hands on Fuller and gives him a good wallop. But fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, and Austin Idol is no fool! When Golden came charging at him, Idol dodged the boot and Golden crotched himself across the middle rope! Idol waistlocks him and goes behind, rolling reverse cradle, 1……2……3! Idol picks up the duke @ 24’22

The Tonga Kid, who has been waiting for this since early September when Mr. Wrestling II waited until Scott Armstrong and Johnny Rich were out of the picture to introduce III to Southeastern Championship Wrestling and the duo used the steel ringpost to, for a time, eliminate the top contender for II's Southeastern Heavyweight strap. Tonga comes out a house of fire, but II controls and manipulates that aggression in the early going, by continually complaining that the “grease ball” has applied extra oil for an unfair advantage. The cantankerous champion even demands that Mr. West get a towel and wipe down the Tonga Kid! Now as the adrenaline begins to ware off the youngster, the cagey veteran is ready to make his move.
The gamesmanship might have just backfired though as Tonga Kid gained his second wind and began wrestling like he was in someone else’s body throwing total caution to the wind and hitting II with everything he had! TK picked up several near falls, but the ring general that Mr. Wrestling II has the uncanny ability to fall near the ropes each and every time he ends up on his back. It was TK’s shoulder that II and III used the steel ringpost to injure, and it was shoulder breaker, perfectly executed by TK, that planted II in the center of the ring! The Tonga Kid is now going to the top rope, obviously looking for the Superfly Splash, but wait just a second, what is II doing? Wrestling II has pulled something from his tights and placed it under his knee pads!!! TK FLIES, but crashes down chest first across the loaded knee pad of Mr. Wrestling II and was easy pickings for a tight inside cradle and II has retained the gold @ 18’51
