NXT Show Bartow Armory, FL 10/4

Went to my second NXT show last night, this time in Bartow, Florida. And again, apologies for not knowing everyone's names. But I figure they've got to MAKE me remember them.

Well my meeting with Paige last week definitely went better than my meeting with Perry Saturn this week.



Note to self: Don't mention Moppy.


Husky Harris fought Kazarian, who really didn't sell his "British bad guy" gimmick. He wins Mosting Boring Performer of the Night right out of the gate. So let's have a round of applause. Boring match overall though.


Except of course this is when we saw Yoshi "F'in" Tatsu! On tonight's episode he went to take a leak.


Emma doing the funky chicken or whatever he stupid dance is called. It's decently over though.


Our poor hero Bayley gets beaten up in the corner by the Golden Girls. Boooo!


Paige doesn't seem to like her hug.

Awesome pic with Perry Saturn, looks like a fun night overall. Bayley's enthusiasm seems infectious and annoying lol. I do love me some Paige though. Really digging some of the characters they have at NXT, but not digging the looks of anyone other than Ascension and Aiden English. Aiden appears to be Cessaro's long lost brother, and what "E" is he putting back in the WWE? European? Which reminds me, who decided that Cessaro couldn't say putting the "W" back in WWE anymore? That was a great line and perfect for his character. Man I love Cessaro. Really love seeing tag team wrestling main eventing these shows.

Tag teaming is such a huge benefit for the young guys. There are natural elements that make the viewing experience better. Built in advantages, like the ref's back being turned, etc. Easier for heels to gauge their heat getting tactics, easier for babyfaces to get the fans behind them. All of these aspects had been forgotten for so long that I believe it was detrimental to a lot guys growth. When you're wrestling 5 nights a week having a partner to rely on, while also allowing the crowd to get into your match without necessarily being into your storyline, or even know who you are, it's a big help. For a live audience I feel it is easier to get emotionally invested in a tag team match when there is little to interest in the performers.

Cell Phone guy is money. If Yoshi is going to be in the building, then why the bloody hell isn't he wrestling? UGH. Thanks for the pics Jack, cool stuff.
