Jack Reynolds: Welcome everyone to Pro Wrestling USA, brought to you by PWA, Pro Wrestling America. I am Jack Reynolds and with me is Bruno Sammartino and we are here to provide you with the very best action in professional wrestling. Last week we crowned a new Iron Horse television champion although it won it via count out. This week we are going to crown a new US Light Heavyweight champion. Jerry Lynn will take on Doby Gillis in the first qualifying match with “Jumping” Joe Savoldi taking on the “Georgia Strongman” Dale Veasey in the second. We are also going to see The Rock N Roll RPM’s in action tonight.
BS: Jack, I am telling you we have the greatest array of talent in any professional wrestling company in the world right now. This light heavyweight title tournament will be a doozy.
JR: Right you are. We have a great collection of young and veteran talent. How about we get to the action? Fans, let’s go to the ring.

CD: Listen up, punks. I see this country bred Hillbilly thinking he can lay hands on me. Now let me tell you something right now. I will -refuse- to wrestle anyone I feel is inferior and that punk is inferior. He doesn’t wash, he doesn’t shower. He smells like manure and that will -not- be on my hands. But you know what will? The PWA American heavyweight title. What better way to show you how superior the great South Africa is than to wear your American heavyweight title around my waist. So when the powers here that be, that Eddie Sharkey, gets it through his head that I am the only one who deserves that title belt, rest assured I will take it and I will stop -any- Americans from getting their hands on it.

JR: We are back and we have first person in the finals of the US Light Heavyweight tournament in Jerry Lynn. We also have news about the PWA American heavyweight title. It will be on Saturday January 21st right here at the PWA Arena. The top 4 contenders to the title s deemed by Eddie Sharkey will face off in a tournament for the belt. Now, we are going to have the second match for the other finalist for the US light heavyweight belt. “Jumping” Joe Savoldi will take on the “Georgia Strongman” Dale Veasey.
BS: Savoldi is a second generation star and Dale Veasey is one of the most powerful light heavyweights in the world today. This will be a great match. The speed of Savoldi vs the power of Veasey.
JR: Let’s get the action going and head to the ring.

CP: With me is David Sammartino, and David, you had the chance to win the Iron Horse television title but lost it in controversial fashion.
DS: Yeah I did. Mark Fleming and I were going to have a good match, a contrast in wrestling styles but he had to hit me against the ring post and get me counted out. He couldn’t beat me fairly in the ring. But you know what Charlie?
CP: What is that, David?
DS: I think Mark Fleming is a coward. He is yellow and his win proved it. He knows my father is a better trainer than his Lou Thesz. He knows my father is a better wrestler and by following his teaching and instructions make me a better wrestler. But here is the thing, Charlie Platt and you, Mark Fleming…we are going to meet again and let me tell you something right now…you won’t get me in that spot again. I am on to you. I know what type of wrestler you are and I am telling you right now. When we meet again you will be beaten and that title will come home to a Sammartino.

JR: Speaking of anytime, we are about to watch a team that is ready. The Rock N Roll RPM’s are looking for that title match with The Nasty Boys and right now they don’t have that. The team they are facing is a young team with a lot of promise. Al Snow is a good wrestler and Brad Anderson is an Anderson so you know he has the skill. They need a little polish.

I have the second greatest military mind next to my own, Col. DeBeers AND I have these two gentlemen…the PWA American tag team champions, The Nasty Boys.
**Knobbs and Sags come out with the American tag team belts over their shoulders.**
BK: Listen here…you see what we are doing here? We are the tag team champions. We followed the plan and we are the champions. These other teams, RPM’s, Top Guns, it doesn’t matter. We are the champions and we will be the champions until we decide not to be.

Lynn is celebrating when he is attacked from behind by Jimmy Backlund. Backlund attacks with some brutal kicks and punches that takes out the new champion. Lynn is left laying as Backlund is “escorted” to the back by officials while Savoldi and others come to check on the new champ. We fade out to officials helping Lynn.
