"POWER PRO WRESTLING" OPENING VIDEO:[/B]
This week's edition of "Power Pro Wrestling" opens with Les Thatcher joined by Joel Watts to talk a little bit about the title scene here in the Mid-South. It is announced that the championships have be renamed North-American Championships as a tie-back to the history of Mid-South Wrestling. According to Thatcher, Cowboy Bill Watts will be here later with a major announcement about the feud between The Outlaws and North-American Tag Team Champions Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff and Mr. Olympia - plus we'll here from "The Tennessee Stud" Ron Fuller about the blood feud between himself and cousin Jimmy Golden.
Right now, North-American Heavyweight Champion Ken Patera joins Rick Stewart at ringside where Patera brags about recently injuring former champion Scott Hall - and nobody has seen Scott Hall since.
KEN PATERA: "As far as I'm concerned, if we never see that bum Hall again, we'll all be better off! Now, I heard this big muscle-headed idiot Tony Atlas challenged me a few weeks back. Well, Tony, today is your lucky day because I will defend this North American Title against you right here tonight on 'The Power Hour' if you have the guts!"
RICK STEWART: "You know full well that Tony Atlas isn't here this week - he's in Atlanta attending a Special Olympics event!"
KEN PATERA:: "Then... TOO BAD! Then that idiot Scott Hall can have the shot - oh wait, I guess he's too much of a coward to show up to work! Somebody back there will have their lucky day because I'm making an open challenge right here today - and if anyone has the guts, step inside the ring with 'The World's Strongest Wrestler'! Let's see if anyone is even brave enough to try to take this title away from me!"
We’ll be right back!

When 'Power Pro Wrestling' returned, Les Thatcher was joined by Cowboy Bill Watts. Watts talks about how this feud between The Outlaws: Dick Murdoch and Ron Bass and the North-American Tag Team Champions Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff and Mr. Olympia has raged out of control recently. These two teams have battled all over the Mid-South area but nothing has been settled.
COWBOY BILL WATTS: "I have met with the board of directors at Mid-South Sports and we have come up a solution to finally settle things between these four men. Other teams deserve a shot - and it's time to see which of these teams needs to move aside. Les, I'm excited to announce we will have a Best of 7 series for the North-American Tag Team Championships - starting right here next week on 'The Power Hour'. The first team to get four wins will be the definitive champions. One way or another, Les, we're going to see which of these teams is on top here in the Mid-South area."
MATCH #1: BRAD AND BART BATTEN VS. PAUL ROMA AND STEVE O
10 Minute Time Limit... Your referee is James Beard
The twin brothers, Brad and Bart Batten, have an inherent advantage on their opponents because it's difficult to tell them apart. In this match, Roma shows some fire with dropkicks on both Battens, but Bart and Brad manage to do a switch on the outside when it comes to the legal man. Brad (?) manages to roll up Roma from behind and scores the victory under controversial circumstances.
WINNERS: BRAD AND BART BATTEN

When 'The Power Hour' returns, Les Thatcher is joined for comment by "The Tennessee Stud Ron Fuller to discuss the feud between himself and his cousin Jimmy Golden. Fuller gives his cousin credit - he's managed to last a lot longer than anyone else would have, due to his genes no doubt! Fuller laments bringing in The Stomper and Don Carson, but they couldn't get the job done.
RON FULLER: "Now, Lester, I could sully my hands, I could certainly get in the ring and finish off my dear cousin all on my own but I'm not going to do that. I'm a fine Southern gentlemen and Jimmy's blood wouldn't look good on my white suit here. However, the resources of the Stud Stable are endless - and I have found man to do that job right here in the Mid-South. The one and only, Wendell Cooley!"
The Wildcat comes out to boos and joins Ron Fuller. Thatcher questions why Cooley would align with Fuller since he's always been cheered in this area.
WENDELL COOLEY: "It's real simple, the cheers from these people don't put money in my pocket or food on my table. Mr. Fuller needs a job done, and he's offering me good money to do it. I don't give a damn about Jimmy Golden - so I'll have no problem hurting the man if I have to."
RON FULLER: "I love it, I love it! Mr. Cooley, if you get rid of my dear cousin like you've promised, you'll be rolling in cash. That's a guarantee from the Stud Stable, my boy!"
MATCH #2: DR. TOM PRICHARD VS. EL GRAN APOLLO
10 Minute Time Limit... Your referee is Jack Howe
The young Tom Prichard looks ready to break out as a major star in the area after building up wins over the last few months. The good doctor has made it clear that he wants to face North-American Junior Heavyweight Champion Joe 'The Professional' Malenko - and he makes a good case for himself as he defeats El Gran Apollo with a spinning neck breaker.
WINNER: DR. TOM PRICHARD

When 'Power Pro Wrestling' returns, Les Thatcher is joined by North-American Tag Team Champions Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff and Mr. Olympia to discuss the Best of 7 series against The Outlaws: Dick Murdoch and Ron Bass.
PAUL ORNDORFF: "I have to thank Mr. Watts because me and Mr. Olympia have been getting sick and tired of these Outlaws getting in our business. Every time we turn around, they're out here causing trouble for us. Well, boys, get yourself ready because if you want these North-American Tag Team Championships - it's by going through us once and for all in this Best of 7 Series."
MR. OLYMPIA: "I'm ready, I know Mr. Wonderful is too! Outlaws, bring whatever y'all need to bring because you'll need all the plunder in the world to get these titles away from us."
MATCH #3: WENDELL COOLEY VS. MIKE GEORGE
10 Minute Time Limit... Your referee is James Beard.
'The Tennessee Stud' Ron Fuller is in the corner of Wendell Cooley, who has secured the financial backing of the Stud Stable in order to get rid of Fuller's cousin Jimmy Golden. Cooley is one step ahead of the wily veteran Mike George here by taking every short cut, then finishing George off with a running knee to the face for the pin. Cooley and Fuller stomp on George after the match until Jimmy Golden runs down with a steel chair to clear out the ring.
WINNER: WENDELL COOLEY
'Power Pro Wrestling' goes to break with Les and Joel speculating on who might accept the challenge from North-American Heavyweight Champion Ken Patera.

When 'Power Pro Wrestling' returns, North-American Heavyweight Champion Ken Patera is in the ring flexing while he's announced by Mike McGuirk. Patera eventually yanks the microphone away from her.
KEN PATERA: "Enough from this dopey broad! I put out a challenge and I've heard NOTHING. So unless somebody walks out here in the next 15 seconds, I'm going home to enjoy some extra turkey! I don't want to hear anything about a title defense for at least 30 days!"
Patera demands McGuirk start counting down from 15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8...
IT'S "HOT STUFF" EDDIE GILBERT!
This man is no stranger to fans of wrestling in Mid-South - the son of the legendary Tommy Gilbert and one of the biggest young stars in the sport! Patera looks annoyed but not overly concerned when Eddie Gilbert hits the ring and insists on the bell being run! Eddie Gilbert has accepted the open challenge!
MATCH #4: NORTH-AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
KEN PATERA (C) VS. "HOT STUFF" EDDIE GILBERT
TV Time Remaining... Your referee is Tommy Young.
Tommy Young calls for the bell - this title match is happening right here on 'Power Pro Wrestling'! Ken Patera bum-rushes Eddie Gilbert as he takes off his ring jacket and pounds on him in the corner with his hulking forearms. Patera scoops Gilbert up and then hits a running elbow. Patera demands a fast count, but Young counts fairly. Eddie gets the shoulder up before three. Patera is trying to end this one early and he perches for the Swinging Neckbreaker. The World's Strongest Wrestling goes to clinch on the submission hold, but Gilbert rolls him through into a Victory Roll-like pinning combination for the one... two... three! Eddie Gilbert has just won the North-American Heavyweight Championship in under three minutes!
WINNER: NEW NORTH-AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION "HOT STUFF" EDDIE GILBERT
The new North-American Heavyweight Champion "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert rolls out to the floor and is handed the title before Patera can really figure out what happened. Patera is irate as he kicks the ropes, but Gilbert flashes a big smile and shrugs!
