Monsoon, “Welcome to ‘Monday Night Wrestling’! ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’ is fast approaching, and we have more information on that show. We also have a fantastic feature match, Ric Flair teams with Lex Luger to take on Billy Jack Haynes and Kerry Von Erich.”
Ventura, “‘The Brain’ will be the difference!”
Monsoon, “That piece of human garbage! Highly unlikely! Let’s get things underway with Howard Finkel!”

Larry Zbyszko vs. Tom “Rocky” Stone
“The Living Legend” meets the trial horse Stone. Larry starts fast. He works over Stone. Rocky is in trouble. He is no match for Larry, and Zbyszko uses a neckbreaker for the win.

Eric Embry vs. The Avenger
Embry is a popular underdog. The masked Avenger is very mysterious. The masked man jumps Embry before the bell. He pounds Eric’s head into the turnbuckle. Eric is able to rally; he grabs the Avenger and uses the piledriver for the win.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with the British Bulldogs.
Okerlund, “With me are Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid. Gentlemen, Thanksgiving is the night. You are entered into the tournament for the Global Tag Team Titles. Many experts see you as the favorites.”
Smith, “We think we are, but there are a lot of good teams in the tournament, the Rougeaus, The Harts and the Islanders.”
Okerlund, “It is a great field and you’ll have to defeat two teams that night.”
Dynamite, “That’s right. That’s where Davey and I’s conditioning comes in. We might have to wrestle two long matches, and we’re ready for that.”
Okerlund, “That will be a great tournament, don’t miss ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’!”

The British Bulldogs vs. The Cuban Connection
The Bulldogs will have their hands full. David Sierra and Ricky Santana are a skilled and experienced team. Smith starts with Santana. Ricky is young and athletic. He looks good. Davey Boy uses his strength to gain control. He tags in Dynamite. The veteran Sierra tags in, and we have a great match. DK uses the diving headbutt for the win. An exciting contest.

Rick Martel vs. Black Bart
This will be another good one. Bart has the size, but Martel is very skilled. The action goes back and forth. Bart roughs up Martel, but Rick keeps coming. He uses his speed to take over and win with the Quebec crab.

Okerlund, “Fans, ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’ is fast approaching! It will be one of the greatest nights in GWA history! The show emanates from the Boston Garden and will be broadcast on Pay per View. Here is what we know so far, the North American title will be on the line as Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler defends against his longtime rival, “Superstar’ Bill Dundee. Dundee perpetrated a sneak attack on the Champion and Lalwer is out for revenge. The Global Tag Team Titles will be decided in a one night, four team, tournament. The four participating teams are, The British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, The Islanders and The Rougeau Brothers. The winners will be crowned the Global Tag Team Champions. Tonight we can add two matches, Kerry Von Erich, the ‘Modern Day Warrior’ meets Wild Bill Irwin and in a tag team match, General Skandor Akbar’s Bolsheviks take on Rick Martel and Eric Embry. Finally, in the main event, ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair defends the Global Title against Billy Jack Haynes. That’s the action in the ring, but something is going to take place outside the ring, something GWA fans have seen for some time. This man is back!”
We see “Rowdy” Roddy Piper standing in the “Piper’s Pit” set.
Piper, “That’s right, the Boss is back! All those suits in the office wanted to censor me! You know RP don’t put up with that! I am back, and I have a special guest for that night! I love all you fans, but I ain’t tellin ya yet! You just have to wait, but I promise you, it will be big! And RP never lies!”
Okerlund, “Wow, ‘Piper’s Pit’ is back! Contact your local cable station now! You don’t want to miss this night! And remember, on Wednesday night, November 23, at 11:00 PM on the USA Network, you will see ‘Thunder Countdown’. It will be one hour of GWA action. We will have more information in the coming days.”

Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Lanny Poffo
Two solid veterans meet in this one. Poffo uses his quickness and aerial tactics to control the action. Finally, Orton takes him down and mat wrestles. Poffo holds his own, but Bob is too much. He gets Lanny up on the turnbuckles and hits a superplex for the win.

“Mean’ Gene Okerlund is with Tojo Yamamoto, the Great Kabuki, the Angel of Death and Jimmy Jack Funk.
Okerlund, “Mr. Yamamoto, you have an addition to your group.”
Yamamoto,”Yes, Gene Okerlund, great wrestler, Jimmy Jack Funk! He is the most vicious member of the Funk family! He will destroy everyone!”
Okerlund, “The wildest Funk Brother! That’s saying something. Jimmy Jack Funk is in the ring next!”

Spike Huber vs. Jimmy Jack Funk w/Tojo Yamamoto
Funk attacks Spike before the bell. He sets out to prove he is the craziest Funk Brother. He chokes Huber and pounds away. He then tosses Spike through the ropes and follows him to the floor. Referee Robert Warren begins to count. Funk tosses Hubre back into the ring. Huber mounts a brief comeback, but Funk wins with a shoulderbreaker.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Kerry Von Erich and Billy Jack Haynes
Okerlund, “With me are two of the most popular young men in the sport. Kerry Von Erich and Billy Jack Haynes make a powerful team. Billy, you are slated to face Ric Flair on Thanksgiving with the Global Title on the line. A win in this tag match would be a big springboard.”
Haynes, “Thank you Mr. Okerlund. I want to win the Global Title, I want to win it for the fans, and most of all, I want to win it for my Dad. I took our family name to honor him, and the best way to do that is to beat Ric Flair and win the title.”
Kerry, “Billy’s going to do it. I know it. Tonight, we're going to teach those two a lesson they won’t forget, and then on Thanksgiving, he ‘s going to win the title!”

Ric Flair and Lex Lugar w/Bobby “The Brain Heenan” vs. Kerry Von Erich and Billy Jack Haynes
The crowd is buzzing for this one. Earl Hebner is your referee. Heenan and Flair put the bad mouth on Haynes. Billy is not fazed. Kerry and Luger begin the contest. Two of the best bodies in wrestling lock up. Kerry uses skill to control the early moments of the match. Luger rallies with roughhouse tactics. The crowd is on the edge of their feet. Billy Jack tags in. He motions for Flair to enter. Luger tags in the Global Champion. Ric wrestles and Haynes uses his strength. This is a “Clash Of the Titans”. The contest goes back and forth until Haynes locks in the full Nelson. They are in mid ring. Kerry cuts off Luger and Flair submits. The crowd goes crazy! The Global Champion has submitted!
