Monsoon, “Welcome to ‘Monday Night Wrestling’! Jess, the GWA gets hotter and hotter!”
Ventura, “It is Gino, this is the best in wrestling, and ‘The Body’ is the best announcer in the sport!”
Monsoon, “Highly unlikely Jess. Let’s talk about tonight. We will find out who Ric Flair will wrestle on Thanksgiving. We will also have more information on Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee and the North American Title, and in our feature match, Hacksaw Jim Duggan takes on Bob Orton, that will be a good one.”
Ventura, “The Classic brawler vs. wrestler.”

Match #1
The Islanders w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Brickhouse Brown and Gary Royal
Bobby Heenan’s team has been selected for the tournament for the tag team titles. They have a great chance of winning. Tama starts with brown. He uses his atheism to control the action. Brown starts to make a comeback. Tama tags in Haku . The bigger Islanders goes to work. Royal tags in, but the veteran is no match for the big man. Haku hits a crescent kick for the win.

Eric Embry vs. Black Bart
Embry gives up size, but his “Never say die '' attitude makes him dangerous. The crowd loves the man from Kentucky. Bart is very aggressive, he dishes out punishment, and Eric is in trouble. The crowd gets behind Embry. He fires back on Bart. We have a brawl. Both men end up on the arena floor. Referee Earl Hebner starts his count. At 18, Embry dives back in the ring. Bart is stunned. He is counted out.
Winner- Eric Embry (Count Out)
Jack Tunney is seated at his desk.
Tunney, “Hello fans, Thanksgiving is fast approaching. The GWA will be at the Boston Garden on Thanksgiving night, November 24, for ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’. What a night it’s going to be. First of all, the vacant Global Tag Team Titles will be decided. We have a four team, single elimination, tournament. The four teams are,
The Rougeau Brothers
The British Bulldogs
The Hart Foundations
The Islanders
Those are four top teams, any one of them could win the Championship.
Now, we had a controversial night in Memphis a week ago. Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler won the North American Title, and then this happened.
After the match, legendary Memphis announcer, Lance Russell, interviewed the new Champion. Let’s see the video.”
We see Russell interviewing Lawler. “The King” is emotional. Suddenly, his long time rival, “Bill Dundee”, attacks Lawler from behind. He piledrives Lawler on the concrete floor. He grabs the mic from Russell.”
Dundee, “Lawler, that title shot was mine! That title should be mine! I took care of that, you’ll never wrestle again, thanks to me!”
Bill Dundee thought Lawler’s career was over, but he was wrong. Let’s see a video from Mr. Lawler.”
We see Jerry “The King” Lawler wearing a neck brace.
Lawler, “Dundee, that was the greatest night of my life. Of all the titles I’ve ever won, that meant the most to me. To win it in my hometown meant a lot to me. Then you attacked me! You and I go way back. At one time we were friends, not any more! You thought you ended my career!”
Lawler rips off the neckbrace.
Lawler, “I don’t need this! I’m coming to Boston with this title, and not only will I beat you, but I’m going to end your career!”
Tunney, “As you can see Mr. Lawler’s career is not over. The match has been signed, Lawler vs. Dundee for the North American Title. We have one more announcement. We promised to announce the number one challenger for Ric Flair, and the Global Title. There were many top candidates, Kerry Von Erich, the Million Dollar Man, Jim Dugan, but one man was chosen over everyone else. Billy Jack Haynes will challenge Mr. Flair for the title. Many experts feel that Mr. Haynes may well win the title that night. Stay tuned to GWA television for more information.”

Billy Jack Haynes vs. Serge Jodain
The popular Billy Jack has been named the number one contender to the Global Title. He wrestles with a new confidence. He uses his strength to control the match. Jodain is a game youngster, but he is no match for Haynes. Billy clamps on the full Nelson and Serge quickly submits. Haynes is a viable contender.

The Angel of Death and The Great Kabuki w/Tojo Yamamoto vs. The Rougeau Brothers
The Rougeaus are in the tag team tournament on Thanksgiving. Yamamoto has two monsters under his charge. The AoD starts with Jacques. The Angel is very aggressive. He pounds away at Rougeau. Tojo yells instructions from ringside. Kabuki tags in, and continues the attack. Jacques is able to tag in his brother. Raymond and Kabuki begin to brawl. All four men end up in the ring. Referee Gary DeRusha tries to sort things out. In the confusion rolls up the AoD, and Manning counts three! Tojo argues that the Angel was not the legal man. He’s right. DeRusha will have nothing to do with it.
Winners- The Rougeau Brothers
Match #5
Rick Martel vs. Mohammed Saed
The popular man from Quebec meets the Middle Eastern madman. Saed jumps Martel before the bell. He hammers away, and Rick is in trouble. Referee Robert Warren counts, and Saed breaks the choke. Martel manages to fight back. Rick takes over, and wins with the Quebec crab.
Winner- Rick Martel
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan.
Okerlund, “With me are Ric Flair, and Bobby ‘The Weas..’, I mean ‘Brain’ Heenan.”
Heenan, “Okerlund, you’re going to push me too far!”
Okerlund, “My apologies, Mr. Heenan. Let’s talk about ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’. Mr. Flair, Billy Jack Haynes has been named the number one contender for your title. What do you think?”
Flair, “Billy Jack Haynes, lots of muscles! You are impressive, no doubt about that, but muscles don’t win matches, wrestling does! Haynes, you show up in Boston, and the ‘Nature Boy’ will give you a wrestling lesson, and the beating of your life, WHOOOOOOOOO!”
Heenan, “Ric’s right. Billy Jerk, you’ve got more muscles than brains, and Ric’s going to beat what little brains you have out of your head!”
Okerlund, “The Champion is very confident, now let’s see him in action.”

Non Title Match
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair (Global Champion) w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. SD Jones
The Champion takes on the veteran from Philadelphia. Jones starts fast, and Ric is taken aback. SD whips Ric into the ropes, and grabs a sleeper. Flair gets to the ropes and referee Bronko Lubich calls for the break. Jones holds his own, but Flair takes over, and wins with the figure four. The Champion is on his game.
Winner- Ric Flair
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Okerlund, “With me is one of the roughest, toughest, men in wrestling, Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Mr. Duggan, tonight you meet Bob Orton. He is one of the finest wrestlers in the sport.”
Duggan, “That’s right, Gene, Orton is a great wrestler, but I’m great fighter! He may wrestle, but he can’t fight like old Hacksaw! I know I’m in for a tough match. But I’m wrestling for the fans, I’ll win it for the fans! Hoooooooooo!”
Match #7
Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Bob Orton
This will be a good one. The bell rings and both men circle one another. Both men know one mistake could cost them the match. They lock up, and Orton grabs a headlock. Duggan shoots him into the ropes, and drops Orton. Hacksaw goes to work. He dishes out punishment. Orton mounts a comeback, and we have a brawl on our hands. The action goes back and forth until Duggan drops Bob with a shoulder tackle. Orton struggles to his feet as Hacksaw hits the spear. He covers Orton, and referee Earl Hebner counts the fall.
Winner-Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura close the show.
Monsoon, “Jess, Hacksaw looks very good.”
Ventura, “Eh, he’s OK, but to get to the top, you have to have brains, that leaves Duggan out!”

On Wednesday night, November 23, the GWA will present ‘Thunder CountDown’. This will be a one hour program broadcast, at 11:00 PM, on the USA Network.
