The announcing team of Les Thatcher & Rick Stewart kick off todays show with two announcements from 'Cowboy' Bill Watts. The Commissioner announces that IWF World's Heavyweight Champion 'Big' Scott Hall will defend his title against 'The World's Strongest Man' Ken Patera, managed by Rock Hunter, in the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tenn. on Sunday, Oct. 30. And on today's show, Joe Malenko will defend the IWF World's Junior Heavyweight Belt against challenger Chavo Guerro in the first match on today's show. All other matches will be standby matches. Stwart follows up with the standby matches featuring Jimmy Golden vs. Ron Fuller, Nick Bockwinkel & Harley Race vs. the Terminators, Patera vs. Vince Apollo & Tony Atlas vs. Vinnie Valentino.
