COLD OPENING:
VTR:
Chris Adams stands in front of a British flag.
ADAMS: Tonight, I have the opportunity of a lifetime! A TV Title match against “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer! Sawyer, you act like a lunatic and wrestle the same way! Tonight, you're facing a wrestler, not some fool who foams at the mouth and howls at the moon! I have a superkick just for you and when I hit, that TV Title belongs to me!
VTR:
Eddie Gilbert, Missy Hyatt, Johnny Ace, Nord the Berzerker, and Buzz Sawyer stand in front of the UWA logo...
GILBERT: You people are so lucky to have the USA Network on your cable system tonight! Because you get to see the most beautiful girl in the world, Missy Hyatt! You get to see the TV Title defended by the Mad Dog against that Paul McCartney ripoff Chris Adams!
SAWYER: Gonna be a Hard Day's Night for you, punk!
ACE: You have the privilege of seeing Hot Stuff, the Berzerker, and myself give those scruffy looking creeps Cactus Jerk and the Skunk Brothers a wrestling lesson!
NORD: HUSS! HUSS!
GILBERT: It doesn't get any better than this!
VTR OPENING:
As the music plays we see the following:
Terry Gordy hitting the Bamm Bamm Slam on a hapless opponent!
“Midnight Soldier” Brian Adams slugging it out with Jos LeDuc!
Scott Steiner hitting a frankensteiner!
Dustin Rhodes hitting a bulldog!
Terry Funk piledriving an opponent!
Missy Hyatt blowing a kiss at the camera!
The Sheepherders saluting the New Zealand flag!
Buzz Sawyer hitting a powerslam!
Vader and Madusa coming down the aisle!
Nord the Berzerker coming to the ring, waving his sword above his head!
Austin Idol holding the American Title belt above his head!
Van Vader holding the Lord of the Ring trophy above his head!
MARSHALL: Welcome to UWA FURY! We're in a wrestling hotbed, Portland, Oregon! We have four championship matches this week!
MAGNUM: The Undisputed World Title, the TV Title, the American Title, and the World Tag Team Titles! They're all on the line! We also have a six man tag where the Funks and Catus Jack take on three members of Eddie Gilbert's First Family!
MARSHALL: Right now, let's go to UWA President Captain Frank Dusek from an undisclosed location....
VTR:
We see UWA President Frank Dusek standing in what appears to be a factory or warehouse. In the background, several workmen are constrcuting a steel cage similar to the cage the WWF used in the 1980's.
DUSEK: UWA President Captain Frank Dusek here at a top secret locatiuon where the structure that will house the Steel Gauntlet match at our VIVA LAS VEGAS pay per view spectacular emanating live from the Thomas & Mack Center in Vegas on September 5th at 8 PM, The Undisputed Championship of the World will be defended in the Steel Gauntlet by Champion Big Van Vader. I'm sure you're wondering what a Steel Gauntelt match is. Here is how it works:
1.MATCH CONTESTED IN A STEEL CAGE. NO DQ OR TIME LIMIT!
2.8 TOP WRESTLERS INVOLVED.
3.TWO NAMES DRAWN AT RANDOM START THE MATCH. THEY WRESTLE UNTIL ONE MAN ACHIEVES A PIN OR SUBMISSION.
4.AFTER A PIN OR SUBMISSION ACHIEVED, ANOTHER NAME DRWN AT RANDOM.
5.THE THIRD WRESTLER DRAWN WILL TAKE ON THE WINNER OF THE FIRST MATCH.
6.PROCESS CONTINUES UNTIL ALL THE NAMES HAVE BEEN DRAWN AND ALL OF THE PARTICIPANTS HAVE WRESTLED. LAST MAN STANDING WINS AND IS UNDISPUTED WORLD CHAMPION!
Along with Vader, three top contenders have been signed to compete in the Steel Gauntlet: TV Champion “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer, Chris Adams, and Caribbean Champion Carlos Colon. Four more top contenders will be announced in the weeks to come! One more match has been signed: the Badstreet USA match where the Fabulous Freebirds will take on the Sheepherders and Rip Morgan! We'll announce more great matches in the weeks to come!
Scott Steiner vs. “the Genius” Lanny Poffo: Poffo is in his Genius costume, dressed like a graduate of a major university. It doesn't help much as Steiner scores a convincing win after a frankensteiner. After the bout, the former Michigan Wolverine joins Boni Blackstone.
BONI: Scott Steiner, you continue to impress everybody who watches UWA FURY with moves like the Frankensteiner. What's next for you?
STEINER: Boni, I just heard about the Steel Gauntlet! I wanna be a part of that match! I want a shot at Van Vader and his belt! That's what it's all about! I get cards and letters from all around the world and they all wanna know when I'm going after the Undisputed World Title! Frank Dusek, I want a shot, man! All I'm asking is put me in that cage with all those other top contenders! Give Scott Steiner a chance!
BONI: Scott Steiner, one of the great young stars here on UWA FURY!

Terry Funk stands in the ring, mic in hand...
FUNK: Ladies and gentlemen, I have had a great career! I've learned a lot from a lot of great wrestlers! There's still a lot of fight left in this ol' dog, but there are more days behind me than there are ahead of me! While I still can, I want to pass some of what I've learned on to some of the rising young wrestlers here in the UWA! My brother and me have been helping two young men who remind us a lot of ourselves when we were starting! I think you'll really like these kids! They are....DUSTIN RHODES & KENDALL WINDHAM ….THE TEXAS BRONCOS!!!
“Texas When I Die” by Tanya Tucker plays and the Texas Broncos come to the ring, high fiving fans along the way!
Texas Broncos vs. Chicky Starr & Denny Brown: The Broncos look good in their debut and Windham pins Starr after a bulldog. Magnum says these two have a bright future and that the UWA Tag Champions the Sheepherders had better watch out!

Four wrestlers stand waiting in the ring. “Boy From New York City” by the Manhattan Transfer blasts throughout the arena and four very popular wrestlers make a grand entrance!
“Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant, Tito Santana, & the Killer Bees vs. Jimmy Backlund, Joel Deaton, & Conquistadors I & II: The faces dominate most of the action, although the heels do get heat on Valiant for a few minutes. Tito gets the duke for his team as he forces Conqustador #2 to submit to the figure four. Magnum speculates Tito was sending a message to American Champion Austin Idol. Isol is standing by with Boni Blackstone!
BONI: I am here with your American Champion “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol. You have a title defense against Dean Malenko this week and Tito Santana is looking for a rematch...
IDOL: Malenko, I knew your old man! He was a great wrestler and you're pretty good! I am a fighting champion and I don't duck anybody! I'll give you a a title match and I'll beat ya clean, right in the middle of the ring! Then, I'll move on to Tito Bandito! Last time, they stuck us with ten minutes! That's not enough for two finely tuned athletes like Santana and Idol! Next week, 15 minute time limit, Tito Bandito vs. the Ladies' Pet and the Men's Regret!
BONI: That's only 5 more minutes!
IDOL: Don't be silly, Boni Blackstone! If I had just 15 more seconds last time, I'd have him!
BONI: We must have seen different matches!
IDOL: Darlin, you're breaking my heart! I am your American Champion, I'm staying your American Champion! I'm your champion forever! I might even sign up for that Steel gauntlet and wipe the mat with Big Van Vader!
BONI: A very confident Austin Idol on UWA FURY!

TV TITLE MATCH: “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer © (w/Eddie Gilbert) vs. Chris Adams: Not only a title bout, but a confrontation between two participants in the Steel Gauntlet match. The champion lives up to his nickname as Adams tries outwrestling Sawyer. Adams looks like he'll win the title as he hits the superkick! Unfortunately, the time limit expires and both competitors must settle for a draw!
COMMERCIAL
“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert, Johnny Ace, & Nord the Berzerker(w/Missy Hyatt) vs. Cactus Jack, “The Legend” Terry Funk, & Dory Funk, Jr.: Outlaw Ron Bass ends up coming to ringside and his interference leads to Nord getting the pin on Dory! A brawl breaks after the match and Terry Funk cleans house by swinging a chairat the heels! The First Family are the winners, but Cactsus & the Funks stand tall as we go to break!
COMMERCIAL
BONI: I'm here with the Funks!
DORY: That Bass keeps sticking his nose in Funk business! Something has to be done!
TERRY: I say that we should settle this the way our father taught us, Junior! Bass, I challenge you to a Texas Death Match! At the last big show, I gave you your kind of match! At VIVA LAS VEGAS, do you have the guts to face a member of the Funk family in a TEXAS DEATH MATCH? You and me, Bass! Live on pay per view! What do you say to that?
BONI: I think it's a great idea!
DORY: So do I, Terry! Sign the match, Frank Dusek!
UWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Sheepherders © (w/Rip Morgan) vs. Italian Stallion & Jeff Gaylord: Although it really isn't necessary, Morgan interferes at every opportunity in this match, probably sending a message to the Freebirds. The champions take their overmatched opponents apart! Luke pins Gaylord after he and Butch hit the double gutbuster on the former Mizou All American.
The champs join Boni Blackstone in the interview area following the bout...
BONI: I must admit that you look very impressive in the weeks leading up to your Badstreet match with the Freebirds!
LUKE: Freebirds, you bloody Yamks! We're ready! Rip is ready! When we're done, you three will be covered in your own blood and be hauled out of the building on bloody stretchers!
BUTCH: Aye, that's right, cousin! Badstreet don't impress us! We've held championships in 37 different countries around the globe!
BONI: Rip Morgan, we've seen you at ringsdie, but never actually seem you compete. What can the fans expect from you as a competitor?
RIP: YAAAAAAARDGH! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! (starts rolling his eyes, slobbering, and pulling his own hair)
LUKE: He only speaks to us, love! You best not bother him! He's dangerous! Terry Gordy, you should be very afraid!
BONI: Your World Tag Team Champions and the very intimidating Rip Morgan!

BONI is standing by...
BONI: I'm here with your Undisputed World Champion Big van Vader and Madusa Miceli. Tonight, Vader defends his title against Master G. What do you know about this contender?
MADUSA: Three things: One, he once played professional football. Two, he has held titles in several regional promotions. Three, he's Vader's next victim!
BONI: Do you have any comments on the Steel Gauntlet? Sounds like the odds may be against you...
VADER: Every other man who calls himself World Champion defends his title against one man at a time! No other man will take on seven contenders in one night! In a cage! I will hurt all seven of those contenders! Bones will break and blood will be spilled! The odds are on my side! If anybody bets against me that night in Vegas...THEY WILL LOSE!
BONI: The American Title match is next!
AMERICAN TITLE MATCH: “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol © vs. Dean Malenko: Malenko gives Idol fits with his speed and technical skills. It looks like we'll have a new champ until Idol starts using subtle heel tactics and gains the advantage. Idol finally manages to secure the Las Vegas Leglock! Idol grabs the ropes for added leverage, whenever the ref turns to look at the champ, he releases the ropes! Malenko finally has no choice but to submit! Idol retains the title! After referee Tommy Gilbert calls for the bell, Idol isn't releasing the hold! Tito Santana has seen enough! Santana hits the ring and breaks the hold! Afterwards, there's a staredown before Idol grabs his title belt and exits! Magnum says this situation is really heating up and that he's disappointed in Austin Idol!

Master G is a formidable looking veteran. He enters the ring and waits patiently for the World Champion...
The theme from the Godzilla movies plays. Vader is led to the ring by Madusa Miceli, who makes the eyes of the men in attendance pop out with her tight fitting outfit! Vader does the deal with the smoking helmet before entering the ring.
UNDISPUTED WORLD TITLE MATCH: Big Van Vader (w/Madusa Miceli) © vs. Master G: The announce team says Master G was awarded a title match for winning a tournament in the Virgin Islands recently (not available on Peacock or Youtube). Master G hits vader with all he's got, but the champ looks unstoppable here lately! Vader puts Master G away with a Vader Bomb and marches on toward VIVA LAS VEGAS and the Steel Gauntlet!
