The announcing team of Les Thatcher & Rick Srewart kick off todays show with IWF Commissioner Jim Barnett with a special announcement. Today's show will be highlighted by an IWF World's Heavyweight Title Match between champion the Iron Sheik, managed by Rock Hunter and challenger 'Big'' Scott Hall. Since the Iron Sheik likes intimidating referees, the committee has appointed former champion Bob Backlund to officiate this match. We feel Bob Backlund will be able to control the match. Suddenly out comes an irate Rock Hunter, Iron Sheik, Joe Malenko, Harley Race & Nick Bockwinkel to complain about Bob Backlund being the official. Barnett is firm, reminding Dillon he signed the contract and It stands as is. Hunter tells Barnett it's a long way from the dressing room to the ring, anything can happen. The Commissioner tells J.J. to his face-- nothing had better happen or some people will be looking for employment elsewhere. HUnter's Organization leaves the announcer's table.
Barnett adds if the match is decided before the TV time limit, we will have standby matches on hand.

We go to the ring with Mike McGuirk for the ring introductions.
Match 1. (1-TV Time). IWF World's Heavyweight Title Match. Guest referee: Ken Patera (sub for Bob Backlund.). (Champ): The Iron Sheik w/mgr. Rock Hunter lost the title by pin fall to (Chall): 'Big' Scott Hall. When it came time for the match to start, Backlund was not there. Seconds pass when out comes 'World's Strongest Man' Ken Patera holding up a bloody Bob Backlund who looks like he was in a fight with someone. A furious Barnett is out with officials to help Backlund to the back. Patera tells the Commissioner that he saw IWF World Tag Team Champions Harley Race & Nick Bockwinkel walking away from where he found Bob. Ken says he will be more than happy to officiate this match. He will make sure Scott Hall gets a fair shake. Barnett agrees & Hunter is furious but there is nothing he can do about it. The match goes on with Patera as guest referee. 10 minutes pass in a see saw match with Ken enforcing the rules on both men.

IWF Title Match continues with Hall beginning to dominate the Iron Sheik. Hunter is trying to get involved which distracts the official allowing champ to get in some illegal tactics. The tv audience explodes was a bloody Backland runs up behind Hunter & locks him in the chicken wing. JJ is screaming. The Iron Sheik is distracted allowing Hall to hit the champion with a running spear for the 1-2-3. We have a new IWF World's Heavyweight Champion -- 'Big' Scott Hall!!! Race, Bockwinkel & Malenko jump back ringside to get him off of Rock. Patera goes to help break it up as do Paul Orndorff, Kevin Von Erich & Brad Armstrong. The Iron Shiek is still on the mat, holding his stomach. (Match time total 16:43).
Hall goes over to the announcer's table for congratulations from the Commissioner, Les & Rick. The fans mob Hall on his way back to the dressing room.

Standby Match 1. (1-10). Non-Title 4 Man Tag Team Match. IWF World Tag Team Champions Harley Race & Nick Bockwinkel (minus Rock Hunter) viciously beat Levi Banks & King Cobra. (5:58). Race with a double arm suplex on Cobra for the win.
Interview ringside by Stewart with angry Harley Race & Nick Bockwinkel about what happened to the Iron Sheik & their manager Rock Hunter. They promise retribution is coming to Patera, Hall & anyone else that wants to get involved.

Stand By Match 2. (1-10). Single Match. 'Mr. USA' Tony Atlas defeated Scott Putski with a power slam. (6:01).
Interview by Stewart with Atlas ringside. Tony congratulates Scott Hall on winning the belt & Ken Patera to staying focused on the match & not what was going on outside of the ring.

At the desk, Les & Rick are joined by Backlund who apologies to the IWF & its fans for what happened a while ago. Bob says Dillon & his thugs pushed him beyond his breaking point & he lost it. Backlund adds that he is just beginning to get even Dillon & his Dynasty. Bob says he has friends who will help him if he needs it. JJ has been warned that payback is coming. (3:10).
