Rick Martel vs. Dale Veasey
Martel, the veteran from Quebec City, debuts in the GWA. He is a talented ring General. He controls the action. Veasey tries some rough house tactics, but Martel clamps on the Quebec crab for the win.

Kerry Von Erich vs. “Wild” Bill Irwin
Kerry is one of the most popular men in wrestling. Irwin jumps Von Erich before the bell. He pounds away at Kerry. He is able to rally, and Irwin is in retreat. Kerry clamps on the claw, and Irwin is out.
Winner- Kerry Von Erich

The Islanders w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Tom Zenk and Ricky Santana
Heenan’s men from the South Pacific are one of the best young teams in the sport. Haku and Tama go to work. They tag in and out. Zenk and Haku match power. The Z Man looks good, but the Islanders trap him in the corner. They work him over, and Heenan looks very pleased. Zenk escapes and tags in Santana. Ricky puts up a good fight, but Tama wins with a flying body press.
Winners- The Islanders
Mean Gene Okerlund is in the ring with “Superstar” Bill Dundee.
Okerlund, “With me is a newcomer to the GWA, all the way from Australia, ‘Superstar’ Bill Dundee. Mr. Dundee, welcome to the GWA.”
Dundee, “Thank you Gene, it’s good to be here.”
Okerlund, “What are your plans here?”
Dundee, “The first thing I want is that International Title. I’ve spent a lot of time in Memphis, and I want to win that in Memphis. I have to win one more match, and I‘lol be in that match!”
Okerlund, “Bill Dundee is ready for the GWA!”

“Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. “Gorgeous” Gary Young
Dundee gives up a lot of size, but that has never bothered him. The match is fast paced. Young wrestles his aggressive style, and Dundee doesn’t back down. Young traps Bill in the corner, but the “Superstar” fights back. He hits the piledriver for the win.

The Bolsheviks w/General Skandor Akbar vs. The British Bulldogs
This feud has quickly heated up. Davey Boy Smith starts with Nikolai Volkoff. The Russian has the size advantage, but Smith holds his own in the strength category. They go back and forth and the match is even. Dynamite Kid tags in and uses his speed to pick up the pace. Boris Zhukov enters the fray, and tries to overpower the Englishman. The match is close, but Dynamite hits the diving headbutt on Zhukov for the win.
Winners- The British Bulldogs

Lex Luger w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Dutch Mantell
The powerful, arrogant Luger struts to the ring. The tough veteran Mantell is ready. Referee Robert Warren calls for the bell. Ditch knows all the tricks, and he keeps Luger off balance. Heenan looks worried at ringside. Lex mounts a comeback. He gets Mantell up in the torture rack, and Dutch submits. Heenan has a good one here.
Winner- Lex Luger
We see the “Piper’s Pit” set.
Roddy Piper walks out.
Piper, “OK, it’s America’s birthday. I was born in Scotland, and grew up in Canada, but I’m as proud of America as anyone!”
The crowd goes crazy.
Piper, “I’ll,get right to the point. I don’t like this guy, but they want me to talk to him, so the Million Dollar Man!”
The Million Dollar Man and Virgil come out. The MDM takes the mic.
MDM, “Piper, I don’t care what you think about me! You’re like all these peons in the crowd, worthless and dirty!”
Piper, “Listen to me DiBiase, and that is your name, you think you’re special, well you’re not! You’re a big mouthed punk!”
MDM, “Piper, you got a big mouth, and you’re not man enough to back it up!”
Piper steps towards the MDM.
Piper, “Watch it!”
MDM, “What are you going to do about it?”
The MDM slaps Piper! Piper turns around.
Piper, “I’m retired, I’m retired…like heck I am!”
Piper attacks the MDM. Virgil joins in. Security personnel fun in and pull the two apart.
Piper, “DiBiase! You did it! You got me back in the ring! I want a piece of you!”
They lead both Piper and the MDM to the back.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan (Champion) vs. Jimmy Jack Funk w/General Skandor Akbar
Duggan takes on the craziest member of the Funk family. The brawl starts with the bell. Both men throw haymakers. Funk traps the Champion in the corner, and begins to choke away. Duggan fights his way out of the corner. The crowd is in their feet. They love the action. Finally, Hacksaw hits a spear, and gets the three count.
Winner- Jim Duggan

Global Tag Team Championship
The Midnight Express (Champions) w/James E. Cornette vs. The New Breed
The young New Breed have the chance of their lives. Cornette grabs the mic.
Cornette, “New Breed,where’d you get those haircuts? Are you going to the chair? Don’t answer that! Let me introduce to you, the two men who are fixing to teach these two punks a lesson, Beautiful Bobby, and Sweet Stan, the Midnight Express!”
The match starts quickly. The New Breed are very aggressive, and take the fight to the Champions. Royal gets a two count on Eaton. Cornette calLs his men to the floor, and gives them a pep talk. They return to the ring. Things begin to go the Champions’ way. The youngsters put up a good fight. The Champions use the double goozle on Champions for the win.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage (Champion) w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Larry Zbyszko
Two talented veterans do battle. Savage starts fast. He has the “Living Legend” on the run. Zbyszko takes to the floor to slow the pace of the match. Larry argues with the ringsiders. He returns, and the match resumes. The match goes back and forth. Both men are very talented, and the action is exciting. The crowd is on the edge of their seats. Both men get near falls, but can’t get the three count. They end up brawling on the floor. Referee Gary DeRusha counts. He reaches 10, and both men are counted out. This has just begun.
Result- Double Count Out

Steel Cage Match
Barry Windham (Champion) vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
A cage of steel has been erected. The eyes of the wrestling world are on Long Island tonight. Both men look cool, and calm as they enter the cage. Heenan tries to bad mouth Windham, but Barry is unmoved. Referee Earl Hebner calls for the bell. Despite the cage, both men mat wrestle for the first few minutes. Windham begins to get the better of things. Usually Flair would take to the floor. He can’t do that tonight. Flair goes to the underhanded tactics. Now Windham is in retreat. Heenan shouts instructions from ringside. He sees an opportunity to regain the title. Windham fights back, and now we have a brawl. Barry whips Flair into the cage, and Ric is lacerated. This seems to incense the challenger and he bloodies Windham. It wouldn’t be a cage match without blood. Flair takes Windham down, and slaps on the figure four. They are in the middle of the ring. Windham is in trouble! The crowd is on their feet. Barry fights it, but he passes out from the pain. Hebner calls for the bell! RIC FLAIR REGAINS THE GLOBAL TITLE! Heenan grabs the belt and enters the cage. Mean Gene Okerlund is with Flair and Heenan.
Okerlund, “Mr. Flair, you did it!”
Flair, “People doubted me! People questioned me! Well, whether you like it, or you don’t, learn to love it! I’m the best thing going today! WOOOOOOOO!”
Heenan, “I’m not one to say, ‘I told you so, but I told you so!’”
Okerlund, “What a night! Stay tuned to GWA programming for more information!”
