Reed tries to rough up Duggan, but Hacksaw fights it off. He hits the spear, and covers the Champion. Referee Robert Warren counts 1…2…3! Hacksaw Jim Duggan is the new Global Television Champion!
Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Mean Gene Okerlund are in the ring.
Okerlund, “Welcome to ‘Global Monday’! I’m with the NEW Global Television Champion Hacksaw Jim Duggan! Mr. Duggan, congratulations!”
Duggan, “Thanks Gene, it was a long hard road, but I did it!”
The crowd goes crazy.
Okerlund, “Now that you are the Champion, people are going to come after you.”
Duggan, “I know that. There are a lot of great wrestlers out there. I’m not ducking anyone! HOOOOOOO!”
Okerlund, “The new television champion!”

Global Television Championship
Hacksaw Jim Diggan (Champion) vs. Jerry Valiant
The new Champion meets the veteran tag team specialist. Valiant jumps Duggan before the bell. That was a mistake. Hacksaw fires back. He lands big rights and lefts. Jerry is in retreat. Valiant gives a good effort, but Duggan is too much. He uses the spear for the win.

Iceman King Parsons vs. Robbie Ellis
The popular Iceman is in this one. Ellis starts fast. The wrestling art dealer is very talented. The action is fast and furious. Ellis has his chances, but Patsons gets things under control. He wins with the butt bump.

Johnny Smith vs. Wild Bill Irwin
The muscular Englishman takes on the tough biker from Minnesota. Irwin roughs up Johnny. The match is very even. Smith uses his strength to hold his own. Irwin is able to hit the big boot for the win.

We see the Piper’s Pit set. Piper walks out.
Piper, “Hello everybody, RP here! My guest tonight is a former World Champion. He comes from Texas, and is one of the most famous families in wrestling. People love him, almost as much as they love me…Kerry Von Erich!”
Kerry comes out and shakes hands with Piper.
Piper, “Alright Kerry. You”be been a big fish in a small pond. Now you’re in the biggest pond there is, the GWA. The competition is tough here.”
Kerry, “That’s true Piper. I know how good everyone is in the GWA, but I’m ready. I’ve got an open contract, and I’ll wrestle anyone.”
Piper, “Ric Flair is here, you two go back a long way.”
Kerry, “I’d love to wrestle Flair. He knows I can beat him.”
Piper, “Kerry Von Erich is in the GWA!”
Match #4
Kerry Von Erich vs. Richard Charland
Kerry debuts against the tough Canadian veteran. Von Erich can match power with anyone, and he shows it off. Charland tries to rough up the Texan, but Kerry fights back. He takes over, and clamps on the iron claw. Charland is out. Quite a debut for the Texan.
Winner-Kerry Von Erich
Mean Gene Okerlund is with Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express.
Okerlund, “With me are James E. Cornette, and the Midnight Express. Mr. Cornette, the Rock and Roll Express have arrived in the GWA and they have set their sights on you, and your team.”
Cornette, “Very good chrome dome! The Rock and Roll Express have been chasing us their whole career, and they ain’t caught us yet! Now, I’ve got a bone to pick with you, and the whole GWA! Last week, the Rock and Rolls sat in on commentary in our match, and they had some pretty bad things to say about your’s truly. I'm fixing to change that tonight!”
Okerlund, “What’s going on?”
Cornette, “They have a match tonight, and I’m sitting in on commentary. The fans are about to get a wrestling lesson!”
Okerlund, “Cornette on commentary? I hope the FCC doesn’t find out!”

The Rock and Roll Express vs. Dale Veasey and George South
Cornette is in rare form. He makes reference to the Rock and Rolls’ hair, the young girls who cheer for them, their size, etc. Despite Cornette’s comments, the R and R’s look very good. They move quickly, and tag in and out. Both South and Weasley are good wrestlers, but they are no match for Ricky and Robert. They hit South with the double drop kick for the win. Cornette is frustrated, but says the Rock and Rolls gave no chance against his men.

Jimmy Jack Funk w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Buck Zumhofe
Akbar’s wild man from the Double Cross Ranch is in action. Funk jumps Zumhofe before the bell. He slams Buck’s head into the turnbuckle. Zumhofe is stunned. Funk whips him into the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Buck is able to mount a brief comeback, but it’s not enough. Funk uses the shoulder breaker for the win.

Mean Gene Okerlund is with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and the Islanders.
Okerlund, “With me are the Islanders and their manager Bobby “The Weas…I mean Brain, Heenan!”
Heenan, “Watch it Okerlund! You’re on thin ice as it is!”
Okerlund, “My apologies, Mr. Heenan. Now on to your men. The Islanders have been locked in a feud with the New Breed. Nothing has been settled, but it might happen next week. You men are signed to meet the New Breed in our main event. That will be quite the challenge.”
Heenan, “Those two nuts? Have seen those haircuts? Have you heard them? Outer space, the future, all that nonsense. The Islanders will destroy them and move on to bigger and better things!”
Okerlund, Maybe so, but I think you might be a little too confident.”

Dutch Mantell vs. Kelly Kiniski
This should be a good one, the young, muscular, second generation wrestler, Kiniski vs. the tough veteran from Texas, Mantell. Kiniski uses his strength to dish out punishment. Mantell is in trouble, but he rallies. He goes right after Kelly, and clamps on the cobra hold. Kiniski is out quickly.

Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura close the show.
Ross, “Jess, another exciting night of wrestling action.”
Ventura, “The GWA is the best in the business.”
Ross, “Next week is going to be another great one. We know the main event will be the Islanders vs. the New Breed. We have also found out the General, Skandor Akbar, will debut a new man.”
Ventura, “If he’s with Akbar, he’s dangerous.”
Ross, “Don’t miss it!”
