Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura open the program.
Ross, “Jess, this is a big night. We have the ‘Badstreet Match’ tonight, that is a big deal!”
Ventura, “Most definitely Ross! This will be a war, and we get to see it on TV!”
Ross, “Let’s not waste any more time, and go to Howard Finkel, and a newcomer.”
Match #1
Dutch Mantell vs. Jose Estrada
Dutch Mantell, from Oil Through, TX, debuts in the GWA. The rugged Texan takes another tough veteran Jose Estrada. Mantell wrestles a hard hitting match. He is very aggressive, and Estrada fights back. After a close contest, Mantell wins with the cobra hold.

Eric Embry vs. Johnny Rodz
Embry is quickly becoming popular with the fans. He wrestles a “never give up style” that the fans love. Rodz is another veteran who will test him. The bell rings and we are underway. Estrada is very aggressive. He punishes Embry. The youngster is in some trouble. The crowd gets behind Eric and he rallies. He takes over and hits the piledriver for the win.

The Islanders w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Buck Zumhofe and Skip Young
Heenan’s young team has been running through the competition. Haku starts for his size Skip Young for his. Haku starts fast. Skip gives it a go, but he's in trouble. “The Brain '' shouts instructions. Tama tags in, and continues working on Young. Zumhofe tags in, and is immediately in trouble. Tama hits the Superfly leap for the win. Heenan celebrates with his men.
Winners-The Islanders
We see the Piper’s Pit set. Piper walks out.
Piper, “Hello everybody, RP here! We’ve got a huge match tonight, and we’re about to talk about it. My guests are the Global Tag Team Champions, the Midnight Express!”
Cornette and Eaton come out, but the third person is different. It’s Stan Lane.
Piper, “Wait, wait, wait, something’s different here.”
Cornette, “Congratulations Piper, I’m surprised you noticed. This is ‘Sweet’ Stan Lane, he’s the newest member of the Midnight Express! My mother expects us to be the best team in wrestling, and she’s provided unlimited funds to do that. When Stan became available, I saw it as an opportunity to make us better, so I did.”
Piper, “OK, Lane’s Reputation is known all over. Now, about tonight. You take on the Freebirds in a ‘Badstreet Match’, that’s their type of fight.”
Cornette, “That’s why we signed it! We’re going to put on the cowboy boots, the jeans, the big buckles, and beat them at their own game! We’re going to humiliate them!”
Piper, “It’s going to be a war!”

The Great Wojo vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Duggan takes on the skilled wrestler from Toledo. The match starts quickly. Duggan can wrestle, and he shows it. Wojo starts to fall behind, so he goes to the roughhouse tactics. Duggan is ready for this. He takes over and wins with a spear.

Tito Santana vs. Jerry Valiant
Santana takes on the veteran tag team specialist. Jerry jumps Tito before the bell. He dishes out punishment, and Tito is in trouble. The crowd gets behind the popular Santana, and he rallies. Valiant tries every dirty trick in the book, but Tito wins with the flying firearm.
Winner-Tito Santana
Jim Ross is with the The Fabulous Freebirds.
Ross, “With me are challengers in tonight’s ‘Badstreet Match’, the Fabulous Freebirds. Gentlemen, the ‘Badstreet Match’ is your specialty. Tonight could be your night.”
Hayes, “That’s right! Momma’s boy Cornette is sending his men into a match they can’t win! Now, I see they brought Stan Lane into this, he’s a good wrestler, but no match for us! “
Ross, “The ‘Badstreet Match’ is going to be exciting!”

Butch Reed (Champion) w/Bobby ‘The Brain” vs. Chick Donovan
Reed takes on an experienced veteran. Donovan starts fast. He works over Reed. Butch is surprised, and Heenan is worried. Reed stops Chick’s attack. He begins to rally. He roughs up Donovan, and wins with the bulldog.
Winner-Butch Reed
Jim Ross, Ric Flair, and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, are seated in the studio.
Ross, “With me are Ric Flair, and his manager, Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. Gentlemen, you have signed matches with Barry Windham all over the country. So far, you have been unable to regain the Global Title. Let’s get right to the point, there are a lot of people who think your time has passed. They don’t think you can beat Windham”
Heenan, “Listen to me Ross, Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler in the world. He can beat that dumb Texas hick any time he wants! Windham, your time is coming, and it’s coming fast! Ross, you are going to eat your words when Ric wins back the title!”
Flair, “Listen to me Ross, people may doubt me, let them! I’ve been on top of the wrestling game for a long time! I’ve wrestled them all, and I’ve beaten them all! Barry Windham, you are just another one in a long line, I’ll take that title, and prove that I am the best thing going, I’m ‘Slick Ric’, I’m ‘Space Mountain’, WOOOOO!”
Ross, “The Champion seems confident, we will wait and see.”

Badstreet Match
Midnight Express (Champions) w/James E. Cornette vs. The Fabulous Freebirds
All four men wear cowboy boots, jeans, and heavy belt buckles. This is a treat for the fans at home. All four men will be in the ring at the same time. Earl Hebner will attempt to referee this. The bell rings, and all heck breaks loose. “Sweet Stan” pairs up with Roberts and “Beautiful Bobby” with Gordy. All four men slug it out. Gordy punishes Bobby, and Stan works over Roberts. Terry slams Bobby, and goes for a cover, but Eaton kicks out. Gordy whips Eaton into the ropes, and waits for a backdrop. Eaton grabs the ropes, and lands a kick to Gotdy’s head. This stuns the big man. Lane rolls up Roberts, but he kicks out at two. Gordy and Eaton slug it out. While this is going on, Lane lands a crescent kick. Roberts goes down. Stan covers him. Hebner counts 1…2…3! The Midnight Express win! Cornette grabs the belts, and he and his men celebrate in the aisle. They have proven their greatness
Winners- The Midnight Express
Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura close the show.
Ross, “I hate to say it, but James E. And his men have proven me wrong!”
Ventura, “Ha! I told you so, Ross! They are the best team in wrestling!”
Ross, “I think you are right! We are short on time, join us next week!”
