The program opens with highlights of the “Firecracker Spectacular”. We see the Midnight Rockers win on the scaffold, and the montage ends with Sgt Slaughter and Hacksaw Duggan holding the American Flag.”
Bill Mercer opens the show.
Mercer, “What a night in Washington! We have new World Tag Team Champions, and we will talk to them later in the program. We also have a new partnership, and Marc Lowrance is with them.”
We go to the ring. Marc Lowrance is with Sgt Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Lowrance, “With me are Sgt Slaughter, and Hacksaw Duggan. Gentlemen, somehow you have joined forces.”
Duggan, “I knew Sarge would see what was going on! He’s an American hero, and now he’s fighting for America!”
Slaughter, “Attention! Part of being a man is admitting when you are wrong. I was blinded by Akbar’s money. I saw only green, but now I understand that the three most important things to me are, Red, White, and Blue! And that’s an order!”
Lowrance, “Let’s see these men in action.”
Match #1
Sgt Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. The Assassins
The crowd is solidly behind Slaughter, and Duggan. The go right after the masked me. The two American heroes are unstoppable. They tag in and out like they have teamed for years. Duggan hits the spear on Assassin #2. The crowd goes crazy.

Austin Idol (International Champion) vs. Sailor White
Idol and Buddy Rose fought to wild double disqualification at the Cap Center, tonight he takes on the brawler from Canada. White uses every underhanded tactic in the book. The Champ is in trouble. White tries to slam Idol’s head into the turnbuckle, but it’s blocked. Austin starts a comeback. Idol is able to Slap the Las Vegas leglock on White, and referee Carl Fergie calls for the bell.
Winner-Austin Idol
Marc Lowrance is with Kevin Sullivan, the Fallen Angel, Maya Singh, the Purple Haze, and the man in the Purple Mask.
Lowrance, “With me is Kevin Sullivan and his group. Who is the man in the Mask, and why did he attack Billy Jack.”
Sullivan, “In the past, this name struck fear into this country, he stalked the night! He was never caught...this is the Zodiac!”
Lowrance, “The Zodiac?”
Sullivan, “The Zodiac will destroy Billy Jack Haynes! It happens tonight!”
Lowrance, “Our feature match will be Billy Jack Haynes will face the Zodiac.”

“Mean” Mike Miller w/“Playboy” Buddy Rose vs. SD Jones
Buddy Rose came close to taking the International Title from Austin Idol. Tonight he leads Mike Miller into action. The native of LoRanger, LA is a rugged redneck. He goes right after Jones. Miller is very aggressive. He works over SD. Miller is vicious. He uses a DDT for the win.

David Sammartino vs. Mr. X
Sammartino, the popular second generation youngster from Pittsburgh,returns to WWI. He and reed go back and forth. The fans seem to love David. He is very sharp, and clamps on a bear hug for the win.

Marc Lowrance is with the Midnight Rockers. They are holding the titles.
Lowrance, “With me are two men who may be the most popular men in wrestling. The men who shut up Jim Cornette, the World Tag Team Champions, the Midnight Rockers.”
Jannetty, “Thanks Marc. We are so proud of what we did. We did this for the fans, these titles belong to them, as much as they do to us.”
Michaels, “Cornette, we went to the top of that scaffold, and tossed your men off. Now, you have to shut that big mouth of yours. We beat your men, and we’ll do it again!”
Lowrance, “That brings up a good point, you are signed for several rematches with the Midnight Express.”
Michaels, “We’ll wrestle them, any place, any time! Cornette, you stick your nose into the match, and we’ll whip you too!”
Lowrance, “The Champions are in the ring when we return.”

The Midnight Express (World Tag Team Champions) vs. Frank Marconi and Mario Mancini
The Champions receive a thunderous ovation. They wrestle with such confidence. Shawn and Marty Tag in and out. The. Road gets louder and louder.Marconi and Mancini have no chance. The Rocker dropper ends things.

Non-Title Match
Kerry Von Erich (World Champion) vs. Frenchy Martin
The World Champion takes on the rugged French Canadian. Kerry, Kevin, and Billy Jack we’re victorious on July 4, and now he is back defending the title. Kerry looks so good. He moves smoothly around the ring. Martin rakes the eyes, and this slows the Champion. Kerry recovers, and goes after Martin. Kerry clamps on the iron claw. Martin is out.
Winner-Kerry Von Erich
Marc Lowrance is with Billy Jack Haynes.
Lowrance, “With me is Billy Jack Haynes. Billy, you and the Von Erichs were able to beat Kevin Sullivan, and his men, but this masked man, the Zodiac, jumped you. Now, tonight, you face him one on one.”
Haynes, “This Sullivan is a weird dude, and everyone around him is strange, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t dangerous. This masked Zodiac hit me with what had to be a loaded mask, and he jumped me from behind, tonight it’s face to face!”
Lowrance, “Our Main Event is next.”

Billy Jack Haynes vs. The Zodiac w/Kevin Sullivan and the Fallen Angel
Sullivan and his band of misfits wait in the ring. Billy Jack Haynes comes to the ring. He takes off his jacket, and people cheer as they see his muscles. The masked man tries to attack Haynes. Billy is ready. He throws big rights, and lefts. He wants revenge against this Zodiac. Haynes goes for the full Nelson, but the masked man gets to the ropes. Kevin Sullivan shouts instructions from ringside. The two men battle it out Jaynes tosses the Zodiac out of the ring. The Fallen Angel climbs up on the apron, and puts the bad mouth on Haynes. Referee Bronko Lubich admonishes the Angel. Sullivan helps the Zodiac under the ring. What is going on? Suddenly, the Zodiac comes out from under the other side of the ring. He rolls into the ring, and headbutts Haynes. Billy goes down. The Zodiac covers him. Lubich counts 1...2...3! The Zodiac pins Billy Jack! Something doesn’t seem right.
Winner-The Zodiac
Bill Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, “How did the Zodiac get back out from under the ring that fast? Something doesn’t seem kosher.”
Jim Cornette comes to the announce position.
Mercer, “Jim Cornette, you aren't scheduled to be here.”
Cornette, “Shut up you big goof! I’m here to make an announcement! My Mother is not happy we lost the tag team titles, and she’s ordered me to do something about it! Next week, I Have a surprise for you. You are going to see something you won’t believe!”
Mercer, “Tell us more about it.
Cornette, “You just hold your horses Tex! You’ll find out when the rest of these idiots do, next week!”
Mercer, “Join us next week. Jim Cornette has a surprise for us.”
