WWA's World's Finest Wrestling opens with a instrumental musical introduction featuring clips well known wrestling stars as WWA World's Heavyweight Champion Billy Robinson, World's Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) & WWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion Akira Maeda w/mgr. Hiro Matsuda, Blackjack Mulligan, Brisco Brothers, Mongolian Stomper & Joe Leduc, the Nightmares (Ken Wayne & Danny Davis), the Spoiler, 'Crippler' Ken Timbs, Terry Taylor, Killer Kahn & Konga the Barbarian and others over the years. We join the announcing team of play-by-play announcer Les Thatcher, color commentator Bob Caudle and interviewer Barbara Clary who welcome wrestling fans to the World's Finest Wrestling program. Les welcomes the fans to today's show with features a pair of talented rookies making their debut.
Bob is joined by Blackjack Mulligan who talks more about the tough guys running rough shot over everyone, especially the Rock Hunter Organization & Percy Pringle's Dynasty. Mulligan adds that he is going to get his hands on Killer Kahn sooner or later & Pringle won't like the results.
Thatcher sends us lets go to the ring for introductions for the first match of today with our ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta.
Single Match. Rookie Soul Train Jones pinned Ali Bey the Turk with a running clothesline. (8:13).
Commercial break includes a wrestler interview with the Brisco Brothers. Jack talks about Jerry being well enough to wrestle again & how they are going after the duo that tried to injure him.
Single Match. Rookie The Dingo Warrior defeated Snake Brown with a big power slam.(5:51).
Commercial break includes wrestler interview with manager the Beautiful Batten Twins with their valet Angel. They claim the Fabulous Ones are dodging them after the let them draw with them last week. They want a title shot!
4 Man Tag Team Match. The Rock Hunter Organization (Mongolian Stomper & Joe LeDuc) beat 'Grizzly' Evans & 'Hacksaw' Higgins. (8:41). Leduc pinned Evans with the bear hug. Following the match, Barbara talks with Hunter who claims the tag champions are cowards & he expects the WWA to force them in a title defense against his team of champs!
Commercial break includes wrestler interview with the WWA World's Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Ones. The Fabs are happy to be the World Tag Team Champs & they have a huge target on their backs from the other teams wanting their belts.
Single Match. 'Mr. Electricity' Steve Regal won by disqualification over 'Crippler' Ken Timbs . (8:47). Timbs threw Regal over the top rope then attempted to piledrive Regal. Terry Taylor ran out to chase Timbs back to the dressing room.
Commercial break includes wrestler interview with the Masked Grappler. The masked heel says he wants a crack at Billy Robinson's WWA World's Heavyweight Belt. He reminds everyone when you're the best, the call you the GRAPPLER.
Non-Title Single Match. World's Heavyweight Champion Billy Robinson submitted Cien Caras of Mexico with the Boston Crab. (8:32). Real contrast of wrestling styles but the champ prevailed over the Luche Libre star.
Commercial break includes interview with manager Hiro Matsuda with Akira Maeda (WWA World's Jr. Champ) & Antonio Inoki. Matsuda explains that Maeda will face only the No. 1 challengers. Inoki deserves & demands a rematch with Robinson with the title on the line.
