WWA World's Junior Championship & World's Tag Team Championship in Atlanta, Georgia at the Omni on Saturday, March 9, 1985. WWA World Tag Team Champions -- the Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane). The WWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion -- Akira Maeda w/mgr. Hiro Matsuda.

8. World's Tag Team Championship Finals Match. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) beat Jack & Jerry Brisco for the titles. Lots of tagging by the Fabs early on in what was a scientific match. The Fabs worked on Jerry's injured leg (from the elimination round) to set him up for the loss. Jack started the match but could not tag back in. The Fabs helped Jack get Jerry back to the dressing room.

7. World's Junior Heavyweight Championship Finals Match. Akira Maeda w/mgr. Hiro Matsuda was awarded the belt by referee Dick Woehrle due to excessive bleeding from Terry Taylor. (Before the start of the match, Taylor was attacked ringside by Timbs who rammed Terry head first into the ring post). Maeda took advantage & it wasn't long before the Timbs came back ringside. Matsuda, fearing Maeda would get disqualified, took it on himself to nail the unwelcomed Timbs with a couple of karate chops to send him running for the dressing room. The crowd approved.

6. World's Tag Team Semi Finals Match 2#. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) beat The Rock Hunter Organization the Mongolian Stomper & Jos LeDuc. Fabs were in trouble until a miscommunication between Stomper & Leduc. The heels collided trying to double team Lane & Leduc ended up getting covered. The Fabs advance to the title match.

5. World's Tag Team Semi Finals Match 1#. Jack & Jerry Brisco by disq. over Percy Pringle's Dynasty (Killer Kahn & Konga the Barbarian). Pringle's team got penalized with the disqualification by trying to break Jerry's leg. The Briscos advance to the title match.

4. World's Tag Team First Round Match 2#. Percy Pringle's Dynasty (Killer Kahn & Konga the Barbarian) beat the Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne). Smaller Nightmares were overpowered by Kahn & Konga. Kahn nailed Davis with a running clothesline for the pin fall.

3. World's Tag Team First Round Match 1#. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) beat the Beautiful Batten Twins (Bart & Brad) w/valet Angel. Close match until Lane dropkicked Bart into Keirn for a powerslam & the 1-2-3. Angel protested but her pleas were ignored.

Ringside announcement of the two First Round Byes in World's Tag Team Tournament. Jack & Jerry Brisco and The Rock Hunter Organization the Mongolian Stomper & Jos LeDuc.

 
2.World's Junior Heavyweight First Round Match 2#. Akira Maeda w/mgr. Hiro Matsuda submitted 'Mr. Electricity' Steve Regal with the Boston Crab.

1. World's Junior Heavyweight First Round Match 1#. Terry Taylor beat 'Crippler' Ken Timbs with the five arm. 'Crippler' was upset with the loss & tried to go after Taylor but was restrained.

This was a fun show. The Briscos and Fabs would've been a good main event for the tag titles, and I liked the show of sportsmanship afterwards, with the Fabs helping Jerry to the back.

Ken Timbs is going to have a lot to answer for when Terry Taylor gets his hands on him!

Taylor will go after Timbs with a vengeance. Pringle should not mess with the Briscos. No one should. Congrats to The Fabs and Maeda.
