Bill Mercer opens the show.
Mercer, “Welcome to ‘International Championship’! This will be one of the most important shows since WWI started. Fritz Von Erich will be here, and has a gigantic announcement concerning the promotion. We will also talk about the video we saw last week. You won’t want to miss this. We will see a newcomer to WWI, former NCAA wrestling champion, Mike Rotundo. On top of that, we have an exciting main event, Hacksaw Jim Duggan takes on Genichiro Tenryu. Finally, we have another new wrestler debuting. He’s in the ring with Marc Lowrance.”

King Kong Bundy w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Mike Reed
The massive Bundy is known all over the wrestling world. Akbar continues to bring in the best. Bundy overwhelms Reed. Mike is game, but Bundy is too much. He hits the avalanche, and demands a five count.

Jumbo Tsuruta vs. SD Jones
The powerful Tsuruta takes on the popular man from Antigua. SD looks good early. He frustrates Tsuruta. Jumbo begins to rally. He takes control, and punishes Jones. SD fights back, but Tsuruta is too much. He hits the jumping lariat, and pins Jones.
Winner-Jumbo Tsuruta

Hercules w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Mario Mancini
Akbar leads Hercules to the ring. He has assembled quite the army. Hercules is all over Mancini. He toys with the youngster. Finally, he clamps on the full Nelson, and Mancini quickly submits. Marc Lowrance approaches Akbar.
Lowrance, “Mr. Akbar, I’d like to speak with you. It appears you have run Gary Hart out of WWI, and it looks like you have added a new force to your group King Kong Bundy. That makes you very powerful.”
Akbar, “That’s right Lowrance. I did run Hart out of here. Doing that provided a financial windfall for myself, and my organization. I used part of that money to sign Bundy. That would be enough, but I have a lot of cash left. Next week, you will see what else I bought on my ‘shopping spree’.”
Lowrance, “Can you give us a hint?”
Akbar, “No, just show up next week.”

Match #4
The Midnight Rockers vs. Ted Grizzly and Goldie Rogers
The popular Rockers are on the trail of the Tag Team Champions. The Rockers give up size, but have the speed advantage. They tag in and out and their opponents are confused. Rogers tries every illegal move he knows. It doesn’t work. The Rockers use the Rocker dropper for the win.
Winners-The Midnight Rockers
Marc Lowrance is with the Midnight Express, Jim Cornette, and a large man in a suit coat tie, and hat.
Lowrance, “With me are the World Tag Team Champions, their manager, and a very large man. Mr.Cornette, who is this man?”
Cornette, “Hold your horses Lowrance. Don’t you have a body to embalm? You have the personality of a mortician! And a boring one at that! The Midnight Express are the top tag team in wrestling. A lot of people hate us, and we hate them. People would do anything to hurt me, and my mother couldn’t stand that. She hired this man, Big Bubba Rogers, as my bodyguard! I want everyone to know this, Big Bubba Rogers is the baddest man in the World, and he guards me!”
Just then, the Midnight Rockers come out.
Lowrance, “Hold on here! We don’t want any trouble!”
Michaels, “We don’t want any trouble! We want a title shot against these guys!”
Bubba steps forward, but Cornette stops him.
Cornette, “Hold on Bubba. First of all, you two punks don’t deserve a title shot, but I’m a nice guy. We’ll wrestle you in a non-title match. You beat us, you get a title shot!”
The Rockers quickly agree.
Lowrance, “We have a match.”
Match #5
Rick Martel vs. Richard Charland
Two residents of Quebec meet in this one. Charland tries to rough up Martel. This works for a time, and Martel is in trouble. Rick fights back, and and the pace of the match increases. They go back and forth until Martel clamps on the Quebec crab, and Charland submits.
Winner-Rick Martel
Bill Mercer and Fritz Von Erich are seated in the studio.
Mercer, “With me is World Wrestling International President Fritz Von Erich. Fritz, you told us you had a big announcement, and we also want to talk about that strange video we saw last week.”
Fritz, “Bill, that was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. I don’t know too much about what is going on.”
Mercer, “Whoever that was said, darkness is coming to WWI.”
Fritz, “Yea, I don’t know what that means, but I know we’ll find out.”
Mercer, “Now, What is the big announcement?”
Fritz, “Last year we held the ‘David Von Erich Parade of Champions. We are coming back for year two. On Sunday afternoon, May 19, we will be back in Arlington, TX, at Texas Stadium. We will present a great afternoon of wrestling. The World Title will be defended by Tatsumi Fujinami. The challenger will be named in the coming weeks. I hope it’s Kerry, but we will wait and see.”
Mercer, “We will also have a well known man debuting in WWI.”
Fritz, “Billy Jack Haynes is one of the toughest, and most popular, men in the sport. He makes WWI even more competitive.”
Mercer, “Stay tuned to ‘International Championship Wrestling’ for more information.”

Mike Rotundo vs. UFO
Rotundo is an NCAA wrestling champion from Syracuse. This will be a fast paced meeting of two talented wrestlers.. It doesn’t disappoint. The action goes back, and forth. Men use dropkicks, headscissors, and other aerial moves. UFO goes for a flying bodypress, but the Rotundo ducks. This is the opening he needs. He scoops up UFO and uses the airplane spin for the win.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Genichiro Tenryu
Two big men meet in the main event. Both men are cautious at the outset. They lock up and we are on. Both men exchange power moves. Tenryu holds his own, but Duggan gets the better of things. Tenryu mounts a comeback, and we have a great match on our hands. The action goes back and forth. Both men get nearfalls. Finally, Duggan hits the spear. He covers Tenryu and referee David Manning counts three! What a win for the Hacksaw!
Winner-Hacksaw Jim Duggan
As Duggan leaves the ring, the lights go out. We hear the man we heard in the video.
“Darkness is coming to WWI! Next week, darkness will envelope your world!”
The lights come on. Lowrance has joined Mercer in the announce position.
Mercer, “Marc, What is going on?”
Lowrance, “Bill, I don’t know, but it feels 20 degrees colder in here.”
Mercer, “Marc’s right. You do not want to miss next week. Skandor Akbar will have a new wrestler, or wrestlers. We will hear more about the ‘Parade of Champions’, and apparently, darkness is coming.”
