“Mr. USA” Tony Atlas & Pistol Pez Whatley vs. Tiger Chung Lee & Mr. Fuji: Atlas & Whatley tune up for their title shot on Labor Day by getting a hard fought win over a rugged veteran team. Atlas pins Fuji after a press slam.
Jos LeDuc(w/JJ Dillon) vs. Mike Jackson: With Ron Garvin watching at ringside, LeDuc scores a convincing win with the bearhug. Jim Ross announces that LeDuc and Garvin will meet in a Canadian Lumberjack Match on TNN at the Labor Day Wrestling Spectacular.
Jimmy Valiant, Terry Taylor, & Hercules vs. Mongolian Stomper, “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer, & “Tennessee Stud” Robert Fuller: A wild and wooly brawl ends with Valiant rolling up Fuller for the 1-2-3! After the match, Fuller grabs the mic and says that he'll destroy Valiant or die trying!
Jack & Gerald Brisco vs. The Fabulous Ones: Fast paced, exciting match. Unfortunately, the time limit expires and it's declared a draw.
They run a segment where Jim Crockett negotiates with Barry Windham & Blackjack Mulligan on one side of a table and Ivan & Nikita Koloff on the other. The Russians want a Soviet referee for the International Title match on Labor Day. Windham agrees if he can name a second referee, an American. Nikita names his uncle Ivan. Mulligan says they name Sgt. Slaughter! Jim Crockett says that will be the Main Event at the Labor Day Wrestling Spectacular: Barry Windham vs. Nikita Koloff for the International Title with two special referees, Ivan Koloff & Sgt. Slaughter!

Killer Khan (w/Robert Fuller) vs. Ron Ritchie: Last week, Khan tried to seriously injure Don Kernodle. This week, the Mongolian rolls over Ritchie and pins him after a top rope kneedrop. Jim Ross says that Khan will wrestle Sgt. Slaughter on the Labor Day Wrestling Spectacular on TNN.
Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen (w/JJ Dillon) vs, Thomas Ivey & Mike Davis: Brody & Hansen are considered by many to be the best team in the world and they show why here today. Hansen forces Ivey to submit to the Brazos Valley Backbreaker for the win.
After the match, Jim Crockett approaches Brody, Hansen, & Dillon as they are interviewed by Bob Caudle. Crockett says he has been attempting to get a four team elimination match to determine the top contender to the International Tag Title. Crockett says he can't get Dillon to commit Brody & Hansen to the match. Brody & Hansen agree to be in the match. Afterwards, they seem very angry with JJ and ask what the problem is. JJ finally admits that he had made a “financial arrangement with the Kremlin” to keep Brody & Hansen out of contention. It looks like trouble in paradise, folks!
Blackjack Mulligan vs. Tiger Chung Lee: In a battle of rugged veterans, Mulligan gets the pin using the clawhold.
