Bill Mercer opens the show.
Mercer, “Welcome to ‘American Championship Wrestling’! ‘Labor Day Star Wars’ is in the books, and what a night it was. First, we have new American Tag Team Champions. In a match, prior to the Superdome, the Fantastics won the titles. They will be in the main event, tonight, facing the Fabulous Blondes. The Legion of Doom are the International Six Man Tag Team Champions, and finally, Gino Hernandez is the new American Heavyweight Champion. Gino is here, and will be in action later in the program. The Texas Champion is in the ring. It’s still Jimmy Garvin, but there is something different about him. Let’s go to Marc Lowrance.”

Non-Title Match
“Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin (Texas Champion) w/Sunshine and ? vs. Mike Reed
Mac Lowrance approaches Garvin and the two ladies.
Lowrance, “With me is the Texas Champion, Sunshine, and who?”
Garvin, “Marc Lowrance, I am not only Gorgeous, but I am a certified genius! Fritz Von Erich tried to stack the deck against me, but it didn’t work!”
Lowrance, “Jimmy, who is the woman?”
Garvin, “Hold on, Lowrance, hold on, I’ll get to that. This beautiful woman is ‘Precious’, and she works for me, and Sunshine. Someone as gorgeous, smart, and important, as me needs two valets, and that’s what I have!”
Lowrance, “Two women, that’s going to work out well.”
Garvin looks very good. He wrestles at the top of his game. Both valets cheer him on, and he wins with a brain buster.

Porkchop Cash vs. Dale Veasey
Cash, a veteran from Washington D.C., makes his first appearance in ACW. Veasey is a tough opponent. Veasey goes right after Porkchop. Cash fights back, and we have a brawl. Both men have their chances. Cash takes advantage and uses a DDT for the win.

Bugsy McGraw vs. El Diablo
The popular man from San Francisco takes on the masked Mexican wrestler. Bugsy is very aggressive, and the fans are behind him. Diablo puts up a good fight, but Bugsy wins with a big splash.

Hercules Hernandez vs. Billy Travis
Hercules is, yet another, newcomer, he is well know, and is a powerhouse. The match begins and Gary Hart comes to ringside. He pulls up,a chair and sits down. Several minutes later, Skandor Akbar cime# to ringside. They both appear to be scouting. Hernandez is very impressive, he gets Travis up for a backbreaker, and Billy submits. Hart, and Akbar, leave the area.

Marc Lowrance is with Gary Hart and Gino Hernandez.
Lowrance, “With me is the NEW American Heavyweight Champion. Mr. Hart, Mr. Hernandez, you won a controversial match at the Superdome.”
Hart, “What do you mean controversial? This is professional wrestling, a man’s sport! Kerry Von Erich got out of Texas where Daddy couldn’t protect him, and Gino took the title.”
Hernandez, “Von Erich, don’t expect to ever get this back!”
Lowrance, “Kerry wants his title back, but many other wrestlers would like a shot too.”
Hart, “We won’t duck anyone, we will take on all comers.”
Hernandez, “I am your Champion!”
Lowrance, “Our Champion will be in the ring when we return”

Non-Title Match
Gino Hernandez (American Heavyweight Champion) w/Gary Hart vs. Kelly Kiniski
The new Champion struts around the ring. He is arrogant, but he can back it up. Kiniski is a tough youngster, and he doesn’t back down. This is a hard counting contest. Kelly has some chances, but Gino is too much. He uses the falling elbow drop for the win.

Bill Mercer is seated in the studio.
Mercer, “Hello wrestling fans. ACW is the fastest growing wrestling organization in the world. We have taken the wrestling action that Texans love to various parts of the country. We have received so much positive feedback from other parts of the country, and we appreciate all of it. New York City is the most exciting City in the world, and ACW is about to invade the ‘Big Apple’. Starting October 8, ‘American Championship Wrestling’ will air on Superstation WOR TV 9 from New York City. WOR airs all over the country, and ACW is about explode on the nation. That is only half the big news. On December 22, we will present “Holiday Star Wars” from the ‘World’s Most Famous Arena’, Madison Square Garden. Stay tuned for more information.”

Kevin and Mike Von Erich vs. The Assassins
The popular Von Erichs take on the mysterious masked team. Mike starts with Assassin #2. The action is even, and both men get near falls. Mike begins to take over. He tags in Kevin, and the elder Von Erich takes over. Kevin is too much, and hits a flying bodypress for the win.

American Tag Team Championship
The Fantastics (Champions) vs. The Fabulous Blondes
The Fantastics won the tag titles in Alexandria, LA. Now the Blondes want those titles. Tommy Rogers and Ken Timbs open the contest. The action is fast paced. Timbs tags in Embry, and they have trapped Rogers on the wrong side of town. Tommy escapes and tags in Bobby Fulton. He takes the fight to Embry. The crowd is on their feet as both teams tag in and out. All four men end up in the ring. In the confusion, Rogers rolls up Timbs, and referee David Manning counts the fall. The Blondes argue, Timbs says he wasn’t the legal man. He may not have been. Manning will have none of it.
Winners-The Fantastics

Mercer, “Controversy in the Tag title match! ACW gets even more exciting. Join us next week. The International Six Man Tag Team Champions, the Legion of Doom, will be here, as will the Hacksaw Man. Don’t miss it!”
