NWA-Chattanooga presents
Championship TV Wrestling
Saturday, February 11, 1988
from the WDEF Channel-12 Studio A
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Announcer: Joe Wheeler
Referee: Walter Buckner
Joe Wheeler
Host Joe Wheeler welcomes everyone to Championship TV Wrestling this Saturday morning. Big treat for any fan of Tennessee Wrestling as he's joined by "the Man" himself, a true Legend in the sport, Mr. Jackie Fargo!
Jackie Fargo
Big cheer for Fargo and even louder when he does a little of the Fargo Strut for them. He quickly knocks it off so he can get to some business.
Jackie Fargo: Thank you, Joe. It is great to be here this morning with all the fans here in studio and everyone watching on television. Tennessee has always been a hotbed of professional wrestling and today it is no different with it thriving in Memphis with Continental and Smoky Mountain along with the NWA right here in Chattanooga. Now, last week there seemed to be a little hubbub about a true blue chip prospect coming into the area and as we all saw, there seems to be some excitement about that young man coming here to wrestle.
Joe Wheeler: Quite a bit of excitement I would say by the number of gemtlemen all ready to get their hooks into him. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any information as to this person's identity ... perhaps you could tell us?
Jackie Fargo: I'll do you one better ... Jamie, if you could come out here?
Jamie Dundee
HOLY COW! IT'S THE SON OF SUPERSTAR BILL DUNDEE, RIGHT HERE IN CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE!
Joe Wheeler: Tom Renesto Sr. said Tennessee Wrestling Royalty but I had no idea! Jamie, let me welcome you to Championship TV Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance.
Jamie Dundee: Thank you, Joe. Glad to be here this morning.
Claps and cheers for the youngster who can only smile at the welcome.
Joe Wheeler: I have to ask ... why Chattanooga? Why not stay in Texas where your father is or Memphis where Jerry Lawler is?
Jamie Dundee: I wanted to go somewhere I could wrestle and make a name for myself on my own. With Jackie here who is like an uncle to me promised he wouldn't make it easy on me or show any favoritism. i have to earn my own way inside that ring and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Jackie Fargo: And I wouldn't have it any other way either. Now, since we like jumping into the deep end of the pool, Jamie you'll have your first match here next week against an opponent to be determined. I was asked by Tom Renesto Sr. and company to allow them to pick an opponent for you so that they could get a good look at you in the ring.
Joe Wheeler: Thank you Jackie and good luck to you, Jamie but right now, it is time for a break, then wrestling action! We'll be right back."

Boni Blackstone & Bruno
We return to find Boni Blackstone backstage with Downtown Bruno.
Boni Blackstone: I am here with Downtown Bruno ...
Downtown Bruno: That's right, baby. Pittsburgh, PA's one and only Downtown Bruno.
Boni Blackstone: Last week, you failed to appear with the rest of the managers interested in taking on Jamie Dundee as a client ...
Downtown Bruno: It's the Pittsburgh Way or it's the highway, baby. Like I always said, there's nothing I like about Chattanooga EXCEPT there were no Lawlers, Dundees or Fargos here. Well guess what? That all changed in a hurry with a Fargo and a Dundee, so there goes the neighborhood.
Boni Blackstone: Is there a reason why you say that?
Downtown Bruno: Let me tell you something, baby. Downtown Bruno and the Pittsburgh Way are the champs here, NOT an old fossil like Jackie Fargo and certainly NOT some snot-nose punk kid by the name of Dundee. Now let me tell you something ... you ever get tired of working this joint, Downtown Bruno has a place for you on the street in Downtown Pittsburgh. I'll take care of you ...
Boni Blackstone: I don't even want to know what that means. Ah ... Joe, back to you!
Joe Wheeler: Thank you, Boni. Right now, lets go to the ring for a little tag team action ... with the Renesto Boys taking on Caveman Broda and Mad Dog Peloquin!
The Renesto Boys versus Caveman Broda & Mad Dog Peloquin
Plain and simple ... it's a brawl. No technical aspects to things in this one other than the Renesto Boys working well together as a tag team with as much double teaming they can get away with inside the limits of the rules. On the other side, a frustrated Mad Dog takes it out on his partner which leads to them doing a little brawling of their own. Taking advantage of the situation, a double drop kick on the Mad Dog puts him down for the count and the win for Tim and Tom Jr.
The victors leave the ring and Mad Dog and the Caveman get into a shoving match before Joe Wheeler sends us to a commercial.
----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----
Back from the break, we find Boni Blackstone backstage with the "multiheaded manager" lead by Tom Renesto Sr.. She talks briefly about the opening of the program with Jacke Fargo and Jamie Dundee.
Tom Renesto Sr.: Boni, we are pleased beyond words. The blue chip prospect is indeed here in Chattanooga and next week, we'll ALL get a look at what the boy can do inside that ring. While there is no doubt to his true pedigree, a match will give us all a sense of what exactly we are working with. I can only speak for my self and not my compatriots at this time, but I can only say we all greatly look forward to it. The only thing we asked of Mr. Fargo for this match was that we be allowed to to pick his opponent.
Boni Blackstone: Any idea just who it might be?
Tom Renesto Sr.: Too early just yet but that will all be taken care of.
Boni throws it back to Wheeler and our next match..
Todd Morton versus The Nightmare Ken Wayne
The known (and popular) commodity in Wayne versus the rookie Morton start things off with a handshake as the Morton name is also known in these parts. Todd shows some good schooling with several arm drags and a good drop kick. An impressed Wayne nods his head before getting down to business and showing young Todd how it is done, throwing him around the ring with arm drags of his own and a series of drop kicks that leads to a near pinfall. Morton shows some spunk as he tries to fight his way back into the match but in this case, Wayne has too much on Morton before finishing him off with a text book sunset flip that his opponent has no answer for.
The fans appreciate the sportsmanship of Ken Wayne as he shakes Todd Morton's hand afterwards and raises his arm despite taking one on the chin. Maybe not a successful debut but at least he showed some promise! Joe Wheeler reminds everyone to tune in next week for more NWA-Chattanooga's Championship TV Wrestling!
