MERCER: Welcome to World Class Championship Wrestling and welcome to 1988! Right now, let's go to Mark Lowrance at ringside!
LOWRANCE: Thank you, Bill Mercer. You might recognize the young man with me here at this time. Over the past few weeks, he's been at ringside and, last week, he agreed to attempt John Studd's Bodyslam Challenge for $15,000.00!
LOWRANCE: First things first, what's your name and where are you from?
SID: My name is Sid Eudy and I'm from Fouke, Arkansas.
LOWRANCE: What do you do for a living?
SID: My day job is working as a diesel mechanic. At nights, I work as a bouncer in a night club.
LOWRANCE: Just from looking at you, I assume that work out a great deal...
SID: I lift weights about two hours a day, between jobs.
LOWRANCE: What brought you to the Sportatorium? Are you a wrestling fan?
SID: My grandparents raised me on a farm up there around Fouke. We watched wrestling every Saturday night. Fritz Von Erich was my hero. When I got work in the Metroplex, I couldn't wait to come here and try to get a chance to meet him! A few weeks back, I got to shake his hand!
LOWRANCE: Today, you will attempt to bodyslam Big John Studd. He's almost 7 feet tall and weighs nearly 400 pounds. Do you think you can do it?
SID: I've lifted a lot more than 400 pounds in the gym. Once, a guy came to the county fair in Texarkana with a wrestling bear and I lasted 10 minutes with a real live grizzly! I know he's a big, bad man, but I think I can do it!
LOWRANCE: And I'm sure you can use 15 thousand bucks...
SID: My grandparents are a few payments behind on their mortgage on their farm. I'd really like to get them caught up!
LOWRANCE: One last question: have you ever considered professional wrestling as a career?
SID: Not until recently. Every time I come here, I have people saying that because I'm so big that I should be a wrestler. If I can bodyslam Studd, maybe I'll consider that!
LOWRANCE: Anything else you want to say?
SID: When I was playing football, the guys on the team called me Sid Vicious after a punk rock musician. They said it sounded tougher than Sid Eudy. Maybe you could announce me by that name when I get in the ring?
LOWRANCE: I certainly can do that! SID VICIOUS, ladies and gentleman! Back to you, Bill Mercer!
Mil Mascaras, Chavo & Mando Guerrero vs. Brazo de Oro, Brazo de Plata, & Chris Colt: Mercer does an excellent job of getting Mascaras and the Guerreros over as international stars, but their opponents are no pushovers. Mando finally applies the Gory Special on Colt to score the submission win for his team.

MERCER: Next week will see the return to the ring of a handsome young man who is one of the most exciting wrestlers in the sport today! Here's a musical look at Steve Simpson!

MERCER: I'm here with Lance Von Erich! Lance, last week, you had a painful and humiliating encounter with the man known as Dirty Dutch Mantel!

LANCE HOLDS UP THE IRON CLAW AND MOVES FORWARD UNTIL HIS HAND BLOCKS OUT THE CAMERA LENS!

Chris Adams vs. Gorgeous Gary Young: Young stands in the ring, dressed in a sequined robe. Then, we hear...
The Gentleman from England enters the arena, receiving a HUGE ovation! Mercer claims this would be a main event in most arenas and the two wrestlers give it that kind of effort! Adams finally hits the superkick to score a well deserved pinfall win!
MERCER: When we return, Sid Vicious steps out of the ringside seats and into the ring to attempt the slam on Big John Studd!

Mark Lowrance is in the ring with Big John Studd and American Champion Austin Idol! Idol is holding the duffle bag with the money inside.
LOWRANCE: It's time to bring on the latest man to accept the $15,000.00 Bodyslam Challenge! From Arkansas, welcome the young man known as Sid Vicious!
Sid jumps onto the ring apron and steps over the top rope!
STUDD: Boy, I'm about to make a fool out of you!
SID: First things first! I saw what you guys pulled on Blackjack Mulligan last week! (pointing to Idol) I want you over there where Mark Lowrance usually sits so you can't interfere!
Idol fumes, but Studd indicates it's ok and Idol does as Sid says!
STUDD: OK, punk! Go for it!
Sid Vicious picks Studd up, but he can't slam him! No, wait! Here's a second effort by Sid! SID BODYSLAMS BIG JOHN STUDD!
Austin Idol tries to run away with the money, but Chris Adams cuts him off, grabs the duffle bag, and tosses the bag in to Sid! Sid opens the bag, looks at the money, and throws a handfull into the crowd! Studd tries to jump Sid, but Sid kicks him in the face and knocks him out of the ring! The crowd goes nuts! Studd comes out and joins Idol at ringside! Seeing himself outnumbered, Adams rolls into the ring and stands by big Sid! Studd and Idol yell threats at Vicious and Adams, but then, retreat do the dressing room!

Bill Mercer is in the dressing room with Sid Vicious and Fritz Von Erich.
MERCER: Congratulations to this young man, Sid Vicious, who just became $15,000.00 richer by bodyslamming Big John Studd! I understand that you wanted to speak with Fritz...
SID: That's right, Bill Mercer! Fritz, you've been my hero since I was a kid! What just happened out there was the greatest experience I have ever had! I finally know what I was meant to do in life! It won't take even half the 15 grand to catch up my grandparents' mortgage. I want to pay the rest of it to you to train me to be a wrestler like you trained Kevin, David,Kerry, and Mike!
FRITZ: (shaking his head) Son, my little wife and I have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams! I have all the money I'll ever neeed! But I will pass on my experience to you because I see unlimited potential in you! Not for money! Take the cash that's left and buy a reliable vehicle, some good quality wrestling gear and then, put the rest in an IRA at your bank! We'll get started as soon as we can. Bill, from what I saw a few minutes ago, it won't take long to get this man ready to go! (Sid and Fritz shake hands)
MERCER: I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this young man! Now, let's go to the dressing room of Austin Idol and Big John Studd!

LOWRANCE: Gentleman, Sid Vicious...
IDOL: Sid Vicious and Chris Adams just stole a large amount of money from the American heavyweight Champion and the giant of professional wrestling! I'll take care of the Englishman and the big man will take care of the Arkansas hick!
LOWRANCE: We were just informed that Fritz Von Erich will be training Sid. Does that concern you?
STUDD: He can get any has been wrestler he wants to train him! I'm gonna break him in half! He should have never stuck his nose in my business! Look at me, Mark Lowrance! 6 foot ten, 365 pounds! I've beat every major star from here to Tokyo and all points in between! Sooner or later, I'll get my hands on this punk! When I do, I'll destroy him!

MERCER: Next week, our Main Event will have two great wrestlers who have been on a collison course for the last several weeks! “The Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez against Tito Santana! Here's a special feature on these two great stars!
VTR: Tito Santana I standing in the Sportatorium ring, microphone in hand.
TITO: Ever since I got here, Manny Fernandez, it seems like you've had a problem with me...
We see footage of Fernandez slamming Tito's head into the ring post. Then we see the Bull mocking Tito's “arriba” shout.
TITO: Manuel, I don't know if it's jealousy or if you're just an evil person! I do know this: Nobody runs roughshod over Tito Santana! I don't know what your problem with me is, but next week, I promise you that I'll solve it! Arriba!
Again, we see Fernandez slamming Santana's head into the ring post, this time in slow motion.
TITO: I'm in World Class to win championships and be the best I can be. You are not standing in my way, Ragin Bull!

FERNANDEZ: Tito Santana, everybody thinks you are the top Latino wrestler today! Well, the Bull isn't impressed! When I came here, they all talked about how great you were, how you were going to be the top wrestler in World Class! Tito, nobody does it better than the Bull! I always look for the toughest guy in the territory and take him out! It's even better when I don't like the other guy and I decided on day one that I don't like you, Chico!

FERNANDEZ: Next week, Tito Santana, everybody's hero, against the baddest man alive, the Ragin Bull! There's only room for one of us and it's the Bull, Tito! (mockingly) Arriba!
We go into a music video set to the above. It's action footage of Santana and Fernandez dominating various opponents. The final frame is one last slow mo of Fernandez posting Santana.
Back in the ring, The Fabulous Blondes (Ken Timbs & Texas Champion Eric Embry) are strutting around in sequined robes as the crowd boos. Then, the crowd starts cheering as Brian Adias & Superstar Bill Dundee enter the arena!

The Fabulous Blondes (Eric Embry & Ken Timbs) vs. Superstar Bill Dundee & Brian Adias: This can best be described as a Memphis style brawl with both teams getting plenty of offense. Dundee seems especially aggressive against Embry, the man who beat him for the Texas Title! Embry puts Dundee out of the action by bashing him upside the head with Texas Title belt during a brawl on the floor. Adias bravely fights the 2 on 1 disadvantage, but is pinned by Timbs after the Blondes hit a spike piledriver on the popular Texan.
After the match, a bloody Dundee hits the ring, wielding a chair and the Blondes bail out!

MERCER: Next week, we'll have the Main Event that the World has waited on as Tito Santana takes on “Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez! Steve Simpson will be in a match as well!
