Writer's note: I was never a huge fan of the WTBS shows, I always felt like they were boring compared to the excitement that was World Wide Wrestling, so while we are still on at 6:05 on TBS, instead of taping in the studio we are taping in arenas the night before to capture the excitement.
Gordon Solie and Tony Schiavone welcome the fans to another exciting episode of World Championship Wrestling right here on the Superstation, TBS!!! Starrcade is in the books and we have started a new year, and we we are going to start it off in style!!! Today the Rock N Roll Express will get their rematch for the World Tag Team Titles against the new Champions, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard!!!! Also here today we will get news on the Bunkhouse Stampedes coming to arenas around the country, there will be 10 Bunkhouse Stampedes and the winners of those will qualify to take part in the Final Bunkhouse Stampede where the winner will receive a contract to face the World Heavyweight Champion!!!! Jesse Barr is here and he’ll go one on one with Mike Rotundo! The new United States Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs will face the duo of Ivan Koloff and Boris Zukhov in a non title match. Also Brad Armstrong will battle the legend himself, former 7 time World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race!! But first, let’s bring out the man who came so close to winning the World Title at Starrcade, Barry Windham!!!
Tony: Barry, you came so close to becoming the World Champion, I have to think it’s a matter of when and not if.
Barry: You know Tony, I could come out here and I could blame everyone from JJ Dillon, to the referee, to the National Wrestling Alliance for me not having the title around my waist right now, but the only person I have to blame is myself. Everything else that happened during that match is all stuff I should have been prepared for because when you are wrestling for the World Title, and especially when you are wrestling one of the Horsemen, you have to be ready for anything and everything. Ric Flair, I will give you all the credit in the World, that was the single hardest match I have ever been in, but the whole world saw that I had your shoulders down for a three count, and WHEN I get you into the ring again, I AM GOING TO DO IT AGAIN!!! If I have to win the Bunkhouse Stampede to get another shot, then that’s what I am going to do!!!!
Windham heads back to the locker room as Tony sends us to the ring for our opening match!!!!!
MIKE ROTUNDO VS. JESSE BARR
Barr and Rotundo are already in the ring and trade holds in the early going with no one really getting an advantage over the other. Barr and Rotundo are down on the mat jockying for position as we take a commercial break!!!!!
We are back! Rotundo and Barr are in the center of the ring fighting over a backslide!!!! Rotundo drops to his knees first, Barr’s shoulders slide to the mat!!! 1-2-BARR KICKS OUT!!! They scramble to their feet and Rotundo grabs a small package!!! 1-2-BARR KICKS OUT!!! Barr kicks Rotundo in the gut and grabs a front facelock!! Barr attempts a suplex, but Rotundo blocks it, he tries again, Rotundo blocks it again and reverses it!!! Rotundo brings Barr crashing down!!! Rotundo floats over!!! 1-2-BARR GETS HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE!!!! Both men jump to their feet, Barr swings wildly with a right, Rotudno ducks and Barr spins around!!! Rotundo grabs a rear waist lock, POPS THE HIPS!!! GERMAN SUPLEX WITH A BRIDGE!!!! 1-2-BARR BARELY GETS A SHOULDER UP!!!! Barr quickly rolls out of the ring!!!! He throws his hands up and says forget it and starts to take a powder!!!!! Barr is heading to the locker room when
“THE BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN” JIMMY VALIANT CUTS HIM OFF!!!! Barr is yelling at Valiant to move out of the way, but Valiant just waves his finger, Barr threatens to punch Valiant, Valiant tells Barr to turn around, Barr does and Rotundo is waiting with a right hand that catches Barr on the chin!!!! Rotundo unloads on Barr then grabs him by the hair, runs him down the aisle and rolls him back into the ring!!! Rotundo tries to whip Barr into the ropes but Barr reverses it and catches Rotundo with a powerslam!!!!!! Barr pops to his feet and puts the boots to Rotundo!!!!! Barr drops a fist drop!!! Barr springs to his feet and starts to beat on his chest and yell at Valiant who has made his way to ringside!!! Barr is yelling at Valiant, Valiant climbs up on the apron!!! Valiant is dancing and Barr backs up and tells Valiant to get in the ring!!! Barr is to distracted to notice Rotundo is back on his feet, Rotundo spins Barr around and catches him with an airplane spin!!!!! Rotundo dumps Barr to the mat, makes the cover and gets the three count!!!!!!
Barr staggers to his feet and is irate!!! Rotundo and Valiant hug on the outside of the ring!!! Barr has an absolute fit and chases the referee out of the ring!!!! Barr demands a microphone!!!
Barr: VALIANT!!!! VALIANT YOU BUM!!!!!!!!! YOU CHEATED ME AT STARRCADE AND YOU CHEATED ME HERE TONIGHT!!!!!! I AM NOT GOING TO PUT UP WITH ANYMORE YOU STREET TRASH!!!!!! YOU, ME!!! STREET FIGHT HERE ON TBS NEXT WEEK!!!!!
Valiant moves over to Gordon and Tony at ringside and grabs a microphone
Valiant:OOOOHH MERCY!!!!!! JESSE BARR, BABY YOU WANT A STREET FIGHT WITH THE #1 STREET FIGHTER DADDY, YOU GOT IT MR. MR. JESSE BARR, NEXT WEEK, THE BOOGIE MAN’S GONNA SPLIT YOUR WIG RIGHT HERE ON THE SUPER DUPER STATION JACK!!!!!!!

A video plays of Sting set to Cheap Trick’s Clock Strikes Ten. It shows Sting working out, beating up opponents in the ring and locking several different wrestlers in the Scorpion Deathlock!!!!!!
The team of Rocky King and Mark Starr, are standing in the ring when the music from Halloween starts to play and Kevin Sullivan leads The Powers of Pain to the ring!!!!
ROCKY KING & MARK STARR VS. POWERS OF PAIN W/KEVIN SULLIVAN
King and Starr are completely over-matched when it comes to strength, so they try to use speed but it doesn’t really help all that much as Barbarian and Warlord just rip though both King and Starr, at one point the throw King out of the ring to Kevin Sullivan who runs King into the ringpost, pinning Starr after a Doomsday Device!!!!
After the match Sullivan jumps into the ring and gives Starr a double stomp!! King back into the ring in a misguided attempt to help his partner, Barbarian picks King up and hangs him in the Tree of Woe!!! Sullivan charges into King with a knee to the gut!!!!!! Warlord and Barbarian then toss King and Starr over the top rope and out of the ring!!!!!! Tony Schiavone climbs into the ring to talk to Sullivan!!!
Sullivan: Sting!!!! Stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!! Do you see what your future is Sting? At Starrcade you teamed with the Great Liar Dusty Rhodes, and the pretenders to the throne of fear The Road Warriors and you found out that they did not have what it takes to conquer the Army of Darkness. After Starrcade I went to Singapore and wandered through the River of Enlightenment and everything became clear and I looked into the river and it was not my reflection that I saw, but it was YOU!!! Now I wanna talk about some things if you will, I wanna start talkin about the Debbil his self, Kevin Sullivan!!!! I heard Sullivan out here callin The Dream the Great Liar, I heard him talkin all that cosmic mumbo jumbo sayin The Stinger was some great evil and I can tell you, Sting ain’t gonna fall for any of that jive!!!! You see in 1987, Ole Anderson said either he or I would no longer be in the sport of professional wrasslin when 1988 rang in, AND HE WAS RIGHT, because I am standing here in this very ring and Ole Anderson is in the retirement home!!!! And Kevin Sullvian maybe….maybe 1988 is the year you and I finish our thang, maybe 1988 is the year I put YOU out of professional wrasslin and put you in a chair right next to Ole Anderson playin Bingo and drinking prune juice!!!!!! Sting is with the Road Warriors over in Japan right now, but he’s gonna be back here next week, so why don’t you and one your CRONIES take on the Stinger and The Dream RIGHT HERE ON THE SUPA STATION NEXT WEEK?
Now earlier tonight I saw B.W., Barry Windham out here and let me tell you something David Crockett, let me tell all the fans here and all the fans watching out there in TV Land on the Supastation, Barry Windham will become the World’s Heavyweight Champion. He’s where it’s at jack!!!! I been around for a while, and I done seen ‘em all come and go and I can tell you B.W. is going to be one of the greatest rasslers to ever step foot in the ring. And B.W. is gonna get a chance to earn another shot at the World’s Title in the Bunkhouse Stampede!!!!!
The good people of this great nation are in for some wild action. Charlotte, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Nashville, and Norfolk, 10 of the greatest cities in the World today will be host to 10 Bunkhouse Stampede Qualifiers!!!! 10 men will climb in the ring, and ANYTHING GOES!!! Cowboy boots,, belt buckles, steel chairs, barb wire, WHATEVER YOU BRING TO THE RNG WITH YOU, YOU CAN USE!!!!! And if you win, then you are in!!! Then on February 26th, in the Superdome in New Orleans, LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW, the 10 qualifiers are gonna fight it out in one last Bunkhouse Stampede and whoever walks away from that one the winner gets a contract to fight the World’s Heavyweight Rasslin Champion!!!!!!

Let’s talk about “The Total Package” Lex Luger, that man who STAB US IN THE BACK and joined the Four Horsemen. Now Luger, I know Ricky Steamboat still has a lot of unfinished bizness with you, BUT SO DO IT!!!! Lex Luger, I took you under my wing, we brought in with open arms and made you a part of THE FAMILY, and what did you do? YOU SOLD OUT!!!! Let me tell you something, I can buy and sell you Lex Luger!! The bottom line is, I am a two time World’s Heavyweight Rasslin Champion, I am the Bull of the Woods, and that makes me the baddest man of them all if you will!!!! Now when I get you in the ring Lex Luger, when I get my chance to pay you back for all the pain, blues and agony you put all of us through, I ain’t gonna care if the US Title is on the line, I ain’t gonna care what kind of match it is, I don’t care where it is, but I can tell you this right now, it’s gonna be TOTAL DESTRUCTION!!! Tony and Gordon are seated at ringside and tell the fans that they have just been informed that Kevin Sullivan has accepted Dusty Rhodes’ challenge and will team with Mukhan Singh against Sting and “The American Dream” right here on TBS NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!! They then send us up to the ring where Harley Race is waiting.
The music blasts through the PA system and out comes second generation wrestler Brad Armstrong!!!! Gordon says this is going to be one of the biggest tests Armstrong has ever faced when against the 7 time World Champion!!
HARLEY RACE VS. BRAD ARMSTRONG
Race is a master of the game, but Armstrong is no slouch. Race is very aggressive as soon as the bell rings but Armstrong gives as good as he gets. After several minutes Armstrong catches Race in several armdrags! Race rolls out of the ring to collect himself. When he finally gets back in he puts a thumb in Armstrong’s eye and and then grabs him by the hair before dropping him to the mat with a vicious headbutt!!! Race now just punishes Armstrong, showing off the veteran skill that made him a 7 time world Champion as he stretches and punishes Armstrong. After enduring abuse that would make most men quit, Armstrong begins to try and fight back!!! Armstrong looks like he has the former Champion reiling when Race catches him with a high knee!!!!! Race then grabs a rear chinlock and grinds it in!!! Tony says we have to take a commercial break, but the tape machines are rolling!!!!
Back from the break and Armstrong has fought to his feet, the fans are cheering him on as he breaks the hold!!!!! Armstrong runs the ropes, ducks a clothesline, leapfrogs Race and then catches him with a dropkick flush to the mush!!!! Armstrong goes for the cover and gets a two count. Armstrong keeps his foot on the gas and stays on Race!! Armstrong gets several nearfalls but Race keeps kicking out!!!
Race reverses and whip into the corner, instead of crashing into the turnbuckles Armstrong scales them and then leaps off with a twisting crossbody block!!! It connects!!!! Armstrong hooks the leg!!!!

Race kicks out right after the three count but Armstrong has done it!!!! Race is arguing with referee Nick Patrick that he kicked out!!!
Tony: What a great win for the young Brad Armstrong!! Now let’s go to the back and David Crockett who is standing by with none other than Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat!!!!!
David:Thank you Tony, fans I am here with one of the true gentlemen of the sport, one of the toughest MEN ever to be in the ring, they call him The Dragon. He is Ricky Steamboat. Ricky, Starrcade, you and Lex Luger had quite the match for the United States Championship, and I know you still want a piece of him and you had to hear “The American Dream” earlier, he wants a piece of Luger too!!
Ricky: That’s right David, lots of people are after ALL the Horsemen!!! And I do want Lex Luger back in the ring as soon as I can get him there. Like Dusty said, Luger stabbed all of us in the back for his own personal gain. Now he is running with a pack of JACKALS!!!! Well Luger, I am not done with you yet, I am not done with you by a longshot!!!! Nor am I done with you Ric Flair!!!! I spent all of 1986 and 1987 with one goal, to get myself a match for the World Heavyweight Championship. So I went to Dusty Rhodes, I went to Barry Windham and I came to YOU Lex Luger and I asked you, join me and help me defeat the Horsemen!!! As a UNIT we climbed into the ring together for the most brutal match in the history of wrestling THE WAR GAMES!!!!! In the end the Horsemen lost and because of that I got my title shot, and Ole Anderson had to retire, WE HAD BROKEN THE HORSEMEN!!! Or so we thought. Because then when I got my title shot, when I had Ric Flair right where I wanted him, when I was about to hit the kill shot and finish the Horsemen off once and for all YOU BETRAYED US LEX LUGER!!!!! The referee went down, JJ Dillon tries to hit me with the World Title belt but I put him down, Barry and Dusty held Tully and Arn off in the aisle and you come flying into the ring, pick up the World Belt, and STABBED ME IN THE BACK when you hit me in the face with the title!!!! You sold out, joined the Horsemen and saved them from extinction!!!! But I haven’t given up, and I’ll never give up!!! You may have saved the Horsemen from extinction Luger, but you put your name right next to theirs on the endangered species list!!! Flair, Luger, Anderson, Blanchard even JJ Dillon had better watch their backs because in 1988 the Dragon is breathing fire AND HE IS COMING AFTER THE HORSEMEN!!!!!!
We return from commercial with Boris Zuhkov and Ivan Koloff standing in the ring singing the Russian National Anthem, they are cut off as “Rule Britania” plays bringing out Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith, The British Bulldogs!!!!!
IVAN KOLOFF & BORIS ZHUKOV VS. THE BRITISH BULLDOGS
Dynamite Kid starts the match with Boris Zhukov, Boris gets in some early cheap shots to take over and try and rough Dynamite up, but Dynamite shows he can out brawl just about anyone and then just about breaks Boris’ back with a vicious snap suplex!!! Boris quickly rolls to his corner and tag out to Ivan!!!
Dynamite is waving for Ivan to come get some!!! Ivan charges Dynamite and the two men start to brawl!!!! Dynamite gets the upper hand and powers Ivan into the corner where he tags out to Davey Boy!!! Dynamite and Davey Boy whip Ivan into the ropes, they then both leapfrog him before catching him with a double armdrag and then both drop headbutts onto Ivan!!!!! Davey makes the cover!!!

THR--- NO BORIS IS IN TO BREAK UP THE COUNT!!!!
Dynamite rushes back into the ring himself and is all over Boris!!! All four men are in the ring and it is obvious Nick Patrick has lost total control as they continue to brawl!!!! Dynamite dumps Boris out of the ring, Dynamite then runs the ropes and hits a suicide dive onto Boris, smashing him against the blue metal guardrail!!! Dynamite then grabs Boris and gives him another vicious snap suplex, this time on the concrete floor!!!!!
In the ring, Davey Boy attempts to scoop Ivan up for a running powerslam, but Ivan slips off Davey’s shoulders, sticks a thumb in Davey’s eye and then slams him hard to the mat!!!! Ivan goes to the second turnbuckle and drops a knee across Davey’s throat!!!! Ivan starts choking Davey on the mat!!!! He breaks each time Nick Patrick is about to reach 5, but then reapplies the hold!!! Ivan drags Davey over to the ropes and is using the middle rope to choke Davey!!!! Ivan finally breaks, pull Davey to his feet, whips him into the ropes and unloads on him with the Russian Hammer!!!!! Ivan makes the cover!!!

TH-----DAVEY BOY KICKS OUT!!!!
Ivan looks to his corner but Boris is still out on the floor!!!!! Ivan regroups and tries to whip Davey back into the ropes, but Davey reverses it and then grabs Ivan in a Press Slam!!!!!! Davey dumps Ivan onto the mat!!!! Davey makes a cover!!!!!

IVAN KICKS OUT!!!!
Dynamite is back on the apron chopping at the bit!!!!! Davey drags Ivan over and tags out to Dynamite!!! Davey scoops Ivan up and plants him in the middle of the ring with a running powerslam but doesn’t make the cover!!! Dynamite is now on the top rope and Davey goes over and launches him off for a Flying Headbutt!!! Dynamite makes the cover!!!

The British Bulldogs are victorious here on TBS!!! BUT WAIT A SECOND!!!! HERE COMES THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!!!!
They barrel into the ring and blast Davey and Dynamite from behind!!!! They launch Davey Boy over the top rope and out of the ring!!!!! Bobby is holding Dynamite’s arms behind his back, Stan gets the tennis racket from Cornette and his just going to town ramming it into Dynamite’s ribs and midsection!!!! Davey Boy rolls back into the ring and rushes the Midnight’s but eats a Super Kick from Stan that damn near takes Davey’s head off!!! Bobby and Stan whip Dynamite into the ropes and hit a double flapjack!!!!! Stan then takes the tennis racket and holds it over Dynamite’s face, Bobby goes to the top rope and DON’T DO THIS!!!!!!!
EATON DROPS THE ALABAMA JAM, DRIVING THE TENNIS RACKET INTO DYNAMITE’S FACE!!!!!!!!
Cornette is in the ring and holds up the arms of the Midnight Express, they may have lost to the Bulldog’s at Starrcade but they just DECIMATED them here on the Superstation!!!!!
Back from commercial and several wrestlers are helping Dynamite and Davey Boy to the locker room. Suddenly
ADRIAN STREET?!?!?!?! appears from behind the curtain and begins to make his way slowly to ringside?!?!? Tony and Gordon say Street doesn't even wrestle for the NWA!!!!! Street stops to say something to a ringside fan before rolling into the ring, he takes the microphone from announcer Gary Michael Cappetta.
Street: Today has to be the happiest day of my life, here I am, back on the Superstation. I have traveled halfway across the world to get back here. And now that I am back, I want to lay out a challenge, I want to fight anyone back there in the locker room, anyone at all to come out here and face me, is anybody brave enough to accept my challenge, come on boys, just imagine what I could do to you ……..hmmmmm?”
Joe Satriani’s Riding with the Alien blasts over the PA system!!!!
And here comes the World Television Champion Nikita Koloff!!!!!!!!
Referee Tommy Young runs into the ring behind Nikita and calls for the bell!!!!
”EXOTIC” ADRIAN STREET VS. NIKITA KOLOFF- NON TITLE
Nikita is pacing like a caged tiger once he gets into the ring. Street still has the microphone in his hand and he doesn’t look like he was expecting Nikita to be the man to answer his challenge!!!!
Adrian:Well hello Mr. World Television Champion, yes, well I think you and I have a little misunderstanding, you see I was just joking with that challenge, you see? I didn’t mean anything by it, it was all for a good laugh, ha-ha-ha, that kind of thing!! So how about you and I just shake hands like the gentlemen we are and just go about our business, hmmmm?
Street puts his hand out for Nikita to shake, Nikita looks at it then angrily glares at Street. Street is pleading his case, he drops the microphone and puts one hand behind his back to try and show Nikita he is on the up and up. Nikita smiles at Street, which seems to relax the Exotic One. Street still wants a handshake so Nikita obliges , everything seems friendly until Nikita starts to crush Street’s hand!!!!! Street is screaming in pain!!! Nikita pulls Street into a big press slam!!!!!! Street gingerly staggers to his feet, Nikita is crouched in the corner, Street stands up and turns around RIGHT INTO A RUSSIAN SICKLE!!!!!!!!!!!
STREET IS OUT COLD ON THE MAT!!!!!!!

Tony says you probably could have counted to a hundred if you wanted to!!! Nikita reaches down to the mat and picks up the microphone Street was using!!!!
Nikita:You see what I do here to this man??? JIM CORNETTE!!! You and your Midnight Express!!! Shto Eta!!!!! I saw what you did to the British Bulldogs, YOU ATTACKED THEM FROM BEHIND!!! Well Nikita Koloff, he no likes people who attack other from behind. He does not like COWARDS like you Jim Cornette or you Midnight Express. So, Nikita Koloff has signed open contract for next week Jim Cornette!!! Next week Nikita Koloff will put the World Television Title up in a match against either member of your Midnight Express!!!!! And when the match is over, you will look just like this man here!!!!!!!
Nikita drops the microphone and steps over the unconscious Adrian Street!!!!!
Gordon and Tony are really shocked by the aggression shown by Nikita Koloff here, and are pretty sure that “Exotic” Adrian Street had a much bigger night planned for himself than what just happened here!!!! Tony says he has just been informed that David Crockett has caught up with Jim Cornette and sends us to the locker room!!!!!
David:Alight, you heard it Jim Cornette, the WORLD Television Champion...Nikita Koloff….THE RUSSIAN NIGHTMARE….he has challenged any of your men to face him here next week for the TV Title!!!
Cornette: Wipe that stupid grin off you face David you are giving me the creeps!!!! Speaking of creeps, who does that muscle headed idiot Nikita Koloff thinks he is attacking my good, close personal friend Adrian Street like that? HUH? Adrian was just out there trying to bring some joy to people, trying to have a laugh and Nikita has to go out there and ruin it for everyone. Well I’ll tell you what Nikita Koloff, you want a match with one of my boys here next week, well you don’t have to ask us twice!!!!! Did you see what we did to those two rabid, flea infested mongrels earlier? Well that’s exactly what Beautiful Bobby is going to do to you here next week, then we’ll see how big and bad you are after we take that World Television Title off from around your waist!!!! Nikita Koloff defending against Bobby Eaton!!! What a show that’s going to be, what a show this has been!!! Now….don’t go anywhere, don’t change the channel because when we come back, Tony…..he’s gonna talk to them….he’s gonna talk to the Four Horsemen!! We’ll be right back!!!!
We return from commercial break to find Tony Schiavone standing in the center of the ring.
Tony: Please welcome my guests at this time, they are perhaps the most powerful force in wrestling ever, they are manager James J. Dillon, United States Champion “The Total Package” Lex Luger, the World Tag Team Champions Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard and last, but not least, the World Heavyweight Champion himself, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, collectively they are THE FOUR HORSEMEN!!!
The Horsemen come out, Flair is dressed in a custom suit, carrying the World Heavyweight Championship, Lex Luger is in a polo shirt and jeans with the US Title slung over his shoulder, Arn and Tully are in their ring gear and have the World Tag Titles around their waists. JJ holds the ropes open for the Champions.
Tony: JJ Dillon, even if I do not always like the tactics they use, I cannot debate the success your men have had.
JJ: Tony, I don’t think anyone can. What you see before you is the absolute pinnacle of success!!!! You have the United States Heavyweight Champion, the World Tag Team Champions and the Man himself, the World Heavyweight Champion all right here!!!! The only title that is not yet around one of their waists is the World Television Championship, currently held by Nikita Koloff, and the only reason for that is because the NWA currently has very, shall we say, short sighted rules that prevent any one wrestlers from holding two titles. Now what I have here is a petition I plan to file with the NWA, followed by several lawsuits in which I plan to challenge those rules. You see Tony, both Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson are former World Television Champions and as a matter of fact Nikita Koloff defeated Mr. Anderson under some dubious circumstances to win that title. Both men would like nothing more than to add another title to not only their resume, but also to the Four Horsemen.
Arn : What JJ Dillon is saying Tony Schiavone is that while Tully and myself are overjoyed to be the World Tag Team Champions, as the competitors that we are we also still strive and crave individual glory. Now Nikita Koloff, you walk around here with your big muscles knocking down anyone who gets in your way, now I may not be much to look at in the muscles department but I’m no skinny punk either, and you aren’t going to knock me around. Speaking of skinny punks, in just a little bit Tully and I are going to have to teach a couple of skinny punks a lesson you thought they learned at Starrcade!!!! Now I know all you people are out there hoping for some moment of divine intervention, some miracle where this nightmare that The Horsemen have the World Tag Team Titles will come to an end with the Rock N Roll Express taking these titles back. Well I have some news for you, these titles are right where they are supposed to be, all the miracles have been used up, all that’s left is cold, hard reality and that reality is that we are the best tag team in the World, and NO ONE is taking these titles away from us, not today, not tomorrow, not next week, NOT EVEN NEXT YEAR!!!! The cream has risen to the top and 1988 is just the beginning!!!!
Tully: Rock N Roll Express, I can’t even imagine what you are going through, to know that the storybook has come to an end and there is no happily ever after!!! Morning, noon and night since Starrcade I can just imagine all the little kids coming up to you, all those teeny boppers crying and begging you to PLEASE, PLEASE SAY IT AIN’T SO!!! And you have to look them in the eyes and LIE through your teeth and look in their snot nosed, tear drenched face and tell them that everything is going to be alright and you are going to beat the mean ol’ Horsemen and get the World Titles back, well tonight Arn and I are going to do what we do best and we are going crush all those dreams and hopes. You see, Arn and I are the ultimate wrestlers, we get in that ring and we do exactly what we say we are going to do and tonight, Morton, Gibson you two think about it because when the night is over tonight, and you two are lying in this ring, beaten and broken looking up at Arn and I holding the titles high in the air while the tears and sobs of all your fans echo in your ears, think about what you are going to do next because when it is all said and done tonight your careers as professional wrestlers will be OVER!!!!!!!

Lex: You know Tony Schiavone, I have sat back in the locker room tonight and listened to Ricky Steamboat, I have listened to Dusty Rhodes and I have listened to them both talk about me and wanting my United States Heavyweight Title, I listened to them complain about me stabbing them in the back and it’s just made me SICK!!!!! You see I am a competitive athlete, I do whatever it is I have to do to win, and to better myself and I have no time for sentiment. Rhodes, Steamboat you want to cry about me joining the Four Horsemen like a couple of school girls upset that their crush wouldn’t go to the prom with them, well I DON’T CARE. You want to talk about taking my title, well then that is something I care about. Ricky Steamboat, at Starrcade you had your chance and you COULDN’T GET THE JOB DONE!!!!!! You have all the skills Ricky Steamboat, you are one of the premier athletes in the sport today, but I am just THAT much BETTER!!! As for you Dusty Rhodes, you are a LEGEND in professional wrestling, in all of professional sports, no one is denying that, but sooner or later all legends come to an end and if you make the mistake of stepping into the ring with the Total Package, Dusty Rhodes, your legend will indeed die!!! Flair: HA HA HA!!!! TONY SCHIAVONE!!! What’s causin all this, huh??? What you see here in this ring is the greatest collection of talent EVER assembled. No sports team can hold a candle to us!!!! I was going to come out here today and just keep the party going, I wasn’t going to stir anything up, or try and cause any trouble cause I’m still high from the New Years party that we just shut down a couple of hours ago, that’s been going on for a week back at the Marriott in Atlanta. You know, we have had the opportunity tonight to sit in the back and watch the greatest wrestlers on the planet come out here and compete today, and you know they are the best because if they weren’t they wouldn’t be here on the Superstation. And we got to hear them talk about everything going on in their business lives and their personal lives and everything in between, and I couldn’t help but notice that people couldn’t stop talking about Ric Flair and The Four Horsemen. So let’s talk about them one by one shall we?
BARRY WINDHAM!!!! I heard you out here saying you weren’t going to make any excuses or blame anyone else, GOOD, because the only person you have to blame for not walking that aisle and getting the job done is YOURSELF!!!!!!!!! I heard you say how my days as World Heavyweight Champion is numbered, well you better listen real close my friend because you seem to be a little on the dumb side and I want to make sure you understand this, the only thing that’s numbered pal is the days you have left to keep running your mouth before the Horsemen shut it for you!!!!
Now let’s talk about ol’ Big Dust himself, and Luge is right, Dusty Rhodes you are a LEGEND in this sport, you have set a high water mark that wrestlers all around the world strive to reach, but let me tell you something Big Dust, I have reached it, AND I HAVE PASSED IT AND LEFT IT IN THE DUST!!!!! You see Dusty Rhodes, you are still living on your past glories, while the Four Horsemen are living in today!!! You say you want one more run with the title, one more shot at the Gold before you ride off in the sunset like John Wayne, well Dusty Rhodes this isn’t a western!!!! You aren’t going to mosey on into town and take out the bad guys and leave with the prize, this is your worst nightmare!!!! You ride up to the Horsemen and all you are going to get is a broken leg, a broken arm, some cracked teeth, a busted forehead and a reservation in a hospital bed for the foreseeable future!!!!
And now we come to Ricky Steamboat. HA- Steamboat, you and are have been around and around and around for too long!!!!! You spent years trying to get a shot at this belt and then when you finally did it, when the miracle finally happened, you couldn’t close the deal!!!!!! And Ric Flair has never had a problem closing the deal!!!! You want another shot at Luge, you want another shot at me?? WHY??? HUH??? WHY? You can’t get the job done!!! You’d be better off hanging up those boots of yours, going back down to your gym in Charlotte, your little wife and baby and living a boring old life telling people how you used to be someone, because the alternative Steamboat is you keep messing with the Horsemen and we get tired of playing games and you get hurt real bad. You understand me? HUH?
You see this, (holds up the World Title) THIS means that I am the best in this business, THE BEST!!!!! And do you wanna know how much people want even just a SHOT at this? All these men are willing to climb into the ring for 10 Bunkhouse Stampedes, the most dangerous match in our sport, to just get a CHANCE to compete in another one and win a title shot!!!!
Tony: I don’t mean to interrupt you but I am glad you brought the Bunkhouse Stampede’s up because before I came out here I was looking at the sign ups for the Stampedes and noticed while neither Arn nor Tully signed up to compete, Lex Luger has
Flair looks surprised by this news but JJ is quick to respond.
JJ: Let me answer that before you try and turn it into something that it’s not Tony, you see while yes the winner of the Bunkhouse Stampede will receive a future title match, there is no expiration to that contract, and if Lex Luger happens to win the Bunkhouse Stampedes then as long as Ric is the Champion that contract will just go into the safe until a time comes when it could be of use. As to why Lex would want to do this, as his financial advisor we discussed it and with winners of the qualifying Stampedes each receiving $10,000 and the winner of the main Final Stampede not only winning a title opportunity AT A LATER DATE, but also a check for $100,000, well we just couldn’t pass that up.
As far as to why Arn and Tully are not signed up for any Stamepdes, they would have been, but with all the upcoming defenses of the World Tag Team Titles, we wanted to keep some open dates for when my lawyers have successfully changed the rules and Arn and Tully can challenge Nikita Koloff for the World Television Title. Now with Arn and Tully’s match about to take place I do feel it is time to end this interview.
JJ rounds up the troops, but Flair looks like he still has questions.

Back from the commercial, Arn and Tully are already in the ring talking to JJ Dillon when the music hits:
Ricky and Robert hi five the fans on their way to the ring, Gordon says they look ready to go!!!! Ricky slingshots himself into the ring, Robert rolls in and they are ready to go!!!! Ricky takes off his t-shirt and throws it at Tully, which gets Tully ready to fight!!!!
We are off to a lightning fast pace as soon as the bell rings, even Gordon and Tony admit that they are having a hard time keeping up!!! Ricky and Robert are able to trap Tully on their side of the ring and get several nearfalls, bringing Arn Anderson into the ring and letting them tee off on him as well!!!! Arn finally turns the tables when he pulls down the top rope when Ricky is trying to run them and Ricky tumbles out of the ring to the floor!!
Arn rolls Ricky back into the ring and then tags out to Tully, fans Ricky Morton is in deep trouble and we have to take a commercial break!!!!!
We come back to Arn covering Morton in the middle of the ring!!!

THR------MORTON BARELY KICKS OUT!!!!!!!
Morton is reaching for a tag but Arn is having none of it, he drags Morton over to the Horsemen corner and he and Tully go to town on him. What follows is Tully and Arn doing what they do best, punishing Morton with double team moves and sheer brutality. They get several nearfalls but can’t put Morton away!!!!
They try double whipping Morton into the ropes, Morton ducks a double clothesline and then connects with a crossbody block on both men!!!!!! Gibson is dying of the tag!!!!! Morton inches closer and closer to Gibson!!!!
JJ Dillon jumps on the apron and distracts Tommy Young!!!!!!
MORTON MAKES THE TAG!!!!
GIBSON JUMPS INTO THE RING AND IS UNLOADING ON BOTH ARN AND TULLY!!! HE SLAMS THEIR HEADS TOGETHER!!!!
WAIT!!!! TOMMY YOUNG IS STOPPING GIBSON!!!! HE IS PUSHING GIBSON OUT OF THE RING, HE NEVER SAW THE TAG!!!!!!
Gibson is irate!!!!! JJ is proud of himself as he drops off the apron, but Gibson isn’t going to let him get away unscathed as he drops to the floor and grabs JJ from behind and runs him into the ringpost!!!!! JJ Dillon is out cold on the floor and is bleeding!!!!! Gibson jumps back on the apron and is banging on the top turnbuckle, trying to will Morton to make the tag!!!
Tully grabs Morton and attempts a Slingshot Suplex, but Morton slips out behind Tully, he then rolls Tully up!!!!

Arn can’t believe it!!!! Morton goes to kick Arn, Arn catches his foot but then Morton connects with an enziguri!!!!! Morton then dives to the corner and makes the tag to Gibson, this time Young sees it!!!!
Gibson unloads on Arn and sends him out of the ring!!!! Tully rips at Gibson’s eyes, he tries to whip Gibson into the corner but Gibson reverses it!!! Tully crashes into the corner, Gibson follows him in and monkey flips Tully out!!!!! Morton is back on his feet, Tully is staggering up!!!!

Starrcade is in the books and we have started a new year, and we we are going to start it off in style!!! Today the Rock N Roll Express will get their rematch for the World Tag Team Titles against the new Champions, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard!!!! Also here today we will get news on the Bunkhouse Stampedes coming to arenas around the country, there will be 10 Bunkhouse Stampedes and the winners of those will qualify to take part in the Final Bunkhouse Stampede where the winner will receive a contract to face the World Heavyweight Champion!!!! Jesse Barr is here and he’ll go one on one with Mike Rotundo! The new United States Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs will face the duo of Ivan Koloff and Boris Zukhov in a non title match. Also Brad Armstrong will battle the legend himself, former 7 time World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race!! But first, let’s bring out the man who came so close to winning the World Title at Starrcade, Barry Windham!!!
Tony: Barry, you came so close to becoming the World Champion, I have to think it’s a matter of when and not if.
Barry: You know Tony, I could come out here and I could blame everyone from JJ Dillon, to the referee, to the National Wrestling Alliance for me not having the title around my waist right now, but the only person I have to blame is myself. Everything else that happened during that match is all stuff I should have been prepared for because when you are wrestling for the World Title, and especially when you are wrestling one of the Horsemen, you have to be ready for anything and everything. Ric Flair, I will give you all the credit in the World, that was the single hardest match I have ever been in, but the whole world saw that I had your shoulders down for a three count, and WHEN I get you into the ring again, I AM GOING TO DO IT AGAIN!!! If I have to win the Bunkhouse Stampede to get another shot, then that’s what I am going to do!!!!
Windham heads back to the locker room as Tony sends us to the ring for our opening match!!!!!

Barr and Rotundo are already in the ring and trade holds in the early going with no one really getting an advantage over the other. Barr and Rotundo are down on the mat jockying for position as we take a commercial break!!!!!
We are back! Rotundo and Barr are in the center of the ring fighting over a backslide!!!! Rotundo drops to his knees first, Barr’s shoulders slide to the mat!!! 1-2-BARR KICKS OUT!!! They scramble to their feet and Rotundo grabs a small package!!! 1-2-BARR KICKS OUT!!! Barr kicks Rotundo in the gut and grabs a front facelock!! Barr attempts a suplex, but Rotundo blocks it, he tries again, Rotundo blocks it again and reverses it!!! Rotundo brings Barr crashing down!!! Rotundo unloads on Barr then grabs him by the hair, runs him down the aisle and rolls him back into the ring!!! Rotundo tries to whip Barr into the ropes but Barr reverses it and catches Rotundo with a powerslam!!!!!! Barr pops to his feet and puts the boots to Rotundo!!!!! Barr drops a fist drop!!! Barr springs to his feet and starts to beat on his chest and yell at Valiant who has made his way to ringside!!! Barr is yelling at Valiant, Valiant climbs up on the apron!!! Valiant is dancing and Barr backs up and tells Valiant to get in the ring!!! Barr is to distracted to notice Rotundo is back on his feet, Rotundo spins Barr around and catches him with an airplane spin!!!!! Rotundo dumps Barr to the mat, makes the cover and gets the three count!!!!!!

King and Starr are completely over-matched when it comes to strength, so they try to use speed but it doesn’t really help all that much as Barbarian and Warlord just rip though both King and Starr, at one point the throw King out of the ring to Kevin Sullivan who runs King into the ringpost, pinning Starr after a Doomsday Device!!!!

They then send us up to the ring where Harley Race is waiting.
The music blasts through the PA system and out comes second generation wrestler Brad Armstrong!!!! Gordon says this is going to be one of the biggest tests Armstrong has ever faced when against the 7 time World Champion!!
HARLEY RACE VS. BRAD ARMSTRONG
Race is a master of the game, but Armstrong is no slouch. Race is very aggressive as soon as the bell rings but Armstrong gives as good as he gets. After several minutes Armstrong catches Race in several armdrags! Race rolls out of the ring to collect himself. When he finally gets back in he puts a thumb in Armstrong’s eye and and then grabs him by the hair before dropping him to the mat with a vicious headbutt!!! Race now just punishes Armstrong, showing off the veteran skill that made him a 7 time world Champion as he stretches and punishes Armstrong. After enduring abuse that would make most men quit, Armstrong begins to try and fight back!!! Armstrong looks like he has the former Champion reiling when Race catches him with a high knee!!!!! Race then grabs a rear chinlock and grinds it in!!! Tony says we have to take a commercial break, but the tape machines are rolling!!!!
Back from the break and Armstrong has fought to his feet, the fans are cheering him on as he breaks the hold!!!!! Armstrong runs the ropes, ducks a clothesline, leapfrogs Race and then catches him with a dropkick flush to the mush!!!! Armstrong goes for the cover and gets a two count. Armstrong keeps his foot on the gas and stays on Race!! Armstrong gets several nearfalls but Race keeps kicking out!!!
Race reverses and whip into the corner, instead of crashing into the turnbuckles Armstrong scales them and then leaps off with a twisting crossbody block!!! It connects!!!! Armstrong hooks the leg!!!!

Like Dusty said, Luger stabbed all of us in the back for his own personal gain. Now he is running with a pack of JACKALS!!!! Well Luger, I am not done with you yet, I am not done with you by a longshot!!!! Nor am I done with you Ric Flair!!!! I spent all of 1986 and 1987 with one goal, to get myself a match for the World Heavyweight Championship. So I went to Dusty Rhodes, I went to Barry Windham and I came to YOU Lex Luger and I asked you, join me and help me defeat the Horsemen!!! As a UNIT we climbed into the ring together for the most brutal match in the history of wrestling THE WAR GAMES!!!!! In the end the Horsemen lost and because of that I got my title shot, and Ole Anderson had to retire, WE HAD BROKEN THE HORSEMEN!!! Or so we thought. Because then when I got my title shot, when I had Ric Flair right where I wanted him, when I was about to hit the kill shot and finish the Horsemen off once and for all YOU BETRAYED US LEX LUGER!!!!! The referee went down, JJ Dillon tries to hit me with the World Title belt but I put him down, Barry and Dusty held Tully and Arn off in the aisle and you come flying into the ring, pick up the World Belt, and STABBED ME IN THE BACK when you hit me in the face with the title!!!! You sold out, joined the Horsemen and saved them from extinction!!!! But I haven’t given up, and I’ll never give up!!! You may have saved the Horsemen from extinction Luger, but you put your name right next to theirs on the endangered species list!!! Flair, Luger, Anderson, Blanchard even JJ Dillon had better watch their backs because in 1988 the Dragon is breathing fire AND HE IS COMING AFTER THE HORSEMEN!!!!!!
We return from commercial with Boris Zuhkov and Ivan Koloff standing in the ring singing the Russian National Anthem, they are cut off as “Rule Britania” plays bringing out Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith, The British Bulldogs!!!!!

Dynamite Kid starts the match with Boris Zhukov, Boris gets in some early cheap shots to take over and try and rough Dynamite up, but Dynamite shows he can out brawl just about anyone and then just about breaks Boris’ back with a vicious snap suplex!!! Boris quickly rolls to his corner and tag out to Ivan!!!
Dynamite is waving for Ivan to come get some!!! Ivan charges Dynamite and the two men start to brawl!!!! Dynamite gets the upper hand and powers Ivan into the corner where he tags out to Davey Boy!!! Dynamite and Davey Boy whip Ivan into the ropes, they then both leapfrog him before catching him with a double armdrag and then both drop headbutts onto Ivan!!!!! Davey makes the cover!!!

Dynamite rushes back into the ring himself and is all over Boris!!! All four men are in the ring and it is obvious Nick Patrick has lost total control as they continue to brawl!!!! Dynamite dumps Boris out of the ring, Dynamite then runs the ropes and hits a suicide dive onto Boris, smashing him against the blue metal guardrail!!! Dynamite then grabs Boris and gives him another vicious snap suplex, this time on the concrete floor!!!!!
In the ring, Davey Boy attempts to scoop Ivan up for a running powerslam, but Ivan slips off Davey’s shoulders, sticks a thumb in Davey’s eye and then slams him hard to the mat!!!! Bobby and Stan whip Dynamite into the ropes and hit a double flapjack!!!!! Stan then takes the tennis racket and holds it over Dynamite’s face, Bobby goes to the top rope and DON’T DO THIS!!!!!!!

Street: Today has to be the happiest day of my life, here I am, back on the Superstation. I have traveled halfway across the world to get back here. And now that I am back, I want to lay out a challenge, I want to fight anyone back there in the locker room, anyone at all to come out here and face me, is anybody brave enough to accept my challenge, come on boys, just imagine what I could do to you ……..hmmmmm?”

Street puts his hand out for Nikita to shake, Nikita looks at it then angrily glares at Street. Street is pleading his case, he drops the microphone and puts one hand behind his back to try and show Nikita he is on the up and up. Nikita smiles at Street, which seems to relax the Exotic One. Street still wants a handshake so Nikita obliges , everything seems friendly until Nikita starts to crush Street’s hand!!!!! Street is screaming in pain!!! Tony: Please welcome my guests at this time, they are perhaps the most powerful force in wrestling ever, they are manager James J. Dillon, United States Champion “The Total Package” Lex Luger, the World Tag Team Champions Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard and last, but not least, the World Heavyweight Champion himself, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, collectively they are THE FOUR HORSEMEN!!!
The Horsemen come out, Flair is dressed in a custom suit, carrying the World Heavyweight Championship, Lex Luger is in a polo shirt and jeans with the US Title slung over his shoulder, Arn and Tully are in their ring gear and have the World Tag Titles around their waists. JJ holds the ropes open for the Champions.
Tony: JJ Dillon, even if I do not always like the tactics they use, I cannot debate the success your men have had.
JJ: Tony, I don’t think anyone can. What you see before you is the absolute pinnacle of success!!!! You have the United States Heavyweight Champion, the World Tag Team Champions and the Man himself, the World Heavyweight Champion all right here!!!! The only title that is not yet around one of their waists is the World Television Championship, currently held by Nikita Koloff, and the only reason for that is because the NWA currently has very, shall we say, short sighted rules that prevent any one wrestlers from holding two titles. Now what I have here is a petition I plan to file with the NWA, followed by several lawsuits in which I plan to challenge those rules. You see Tony, both Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson are former World Television Champions and as a matter of fact Nikita Koloff defeated Mr. Anderson under some dubious circumstances to win that title. Both men would like nothing more than to add another title to not only their resume, but also to the Four Horsemen.
Arn : What JJ Dillon is saying Tony Schiavone is that while Tully and myself are overjoyed to be the World Tag Team Champions, as the competitors that we are we also still strive and crave individual glory. Now Nikita Koloff, you walk around here with your big muscles knocking down anyone who gets in your way, now I may not be much to look at in the muscles department but I’m no skinny punk either, and you aren’t going to knock me around. Speaking of skinny punks, in just a little bit Tully and I are going to have to teach a couple of skinny punks a lesson you thought they learned at Starrcade!!!! Now I know all you people are out there hoping for some moment of divine intervention, some miracle where this nightmare that The Horsemen have the World Tag Team Titles will come to an end with the Rock N Roll Express taking these titles back. Well I have some news for you, these titles are right where they are supposed to be, all the miracles have been used up, all that’s left is cold, hard reality and that reality is that we are the best tag team in the World, and NO ONE is taking these titles away from us, not today, not tomorrow, not next week, NOT EVEN NEXT YEAR!!!! The cream has risen to the top and 1988 is just the beginning!!!!
Tully: Rock N Roll Express, I can’t even imagine what you are going through, to know that the storybook has come to an end and there is no happily ever after!!! Morning, noon and night since Starrcade I can just imagine all the little kids coming up to you, all those teeny boppers crying and begging you to PLEASE, PLEASE SAY IT AIN’T SO!!! And you have to look them in the eyes and LIE through your teeth and look in their snot nosed, tear drenched face and tell them that everything is going to be alright and you are going to beat the mean ol’ Horsemen and get the World Titles back, well tonight Arn and I are going to do what we do best and we are going crush all those dreams and hopes. Lex: You know Tony Schiavone, I have sat back in the locker room tonight and listened to Ricky Steamboat, I have listened to Dusty Rhodes and I have listened to them both talk about me and wanting my United States Heavyweight Title, I listened to them complain about me stabbing them in the back and it’s just made me SICK!!!!! You see I am a competitive athlete, I do whatever it is I have to do to win, and to better myself and I have no time for sentiment. Rhodes, Steamboat you want to cry about me joining the Four Horsemen like a couple of school girls upset that their crush wouldn’t go to the prom with them, well I DON’T CARE. You want to talk about taking my title, well then that is something I care about. Ricky Steamboat, at Starrcade you had your chance and you COULDN’T GET THE JOB DONE!!!!!! You have all the skills Ricky Steamboat, you are one of the premier athletes in the sport today, but I am just THAT much BETTER!!! As for you Dusty Rhodes, you are a LEGEND in professional wrestling, in all of professional sports, no one is denying that, but sooner or later all legends come to an end and if you make the mistake of stepping into the ring with the Total Package, Dusty Rhodes, your legend will indeed die!!! Flair: HA HA HA!!!! TONY SCHIAVONE!!! What’s causin all this, huh??? What you see here in this ring is the greatest collection of talent EVER assembled. No sports team can hold a candle to us!!!! I was going to come out here today and just keep the party going, I wasn’t going to stir anything up, or try and cause any trouble cause I’m still high from the New Years party that we just shut down a couple of hours ago, that’s been going on for a week back at the Marriott in Atlanta. You know, we have had the opportunity tonight to sit in the back and watch the greatest wrestlers on the planet come out here and compete today, and you know they are the best because if they weren’t they wouldn’t be here on the Superstation. And we got to hear them talk about everything going on in their business lives and their personal lives and everything in between, and I couldn’t help but notice that people couldn’t stop talking about Ric Flair and The Four Horsemen. So let’s talk about them one by one shall we?
BARRY WINDHAM!!!! I heard you out here saying you weren’t going to make any excuses or blame anyone else, GOOD, because the only person you have to blame for not walking that aisle and getting the job done is YOURSELF!!!!!!!!! I heard you say how my days as World Heavyweight Champion is numbered, well you better listen real close my friend because you seem to be a little on the dumb side and I want to make sure you understand this, the only thing that’s numbered pal is the days you have left to keep running your mouth before the Horsemen shut it for you!!!!
Now let’s talk about ol’ Big Dust himself, and Luge is right, Dusty Rhodes you are a LEGEND in this sport, you have set a high water mark that wrestlers all around the world strive to reach, but let me tell you something Big Dust, I have reached it, AND I HAVE PASSED IT AND LEFT IT IN THE DUST!!!!! You see Dusty Rhodes, you are still living on your past glories, while the Four Horsemen are living in today!!! You say you want one more run with the title, one more shot at the Gold before you ride off in the sunset like John Wayne, well Dusty Rhodes this isn’t a western!!!! You aren’t going to mosey on into town and take out the bad guys and leave with the prize, this is your worst nightmare!!!! You ride up to the Horsemen and all you are going to get is a broken leg, a broken arm, some cracked teeth, a busted forehead and a reservation in a hospital bed for the foreseeable future!!!!
And now we come to Ricky Steamboat. HA- Steamboat, you and are have been around and around and around for too long!!!!! You spent years trying to get a shot at this belt and then when you finally did it, when the miracle finally happened, you couldn’t close the deal!!!!!! You can’t get the job done!!! Flair looks surprised by this news but JJ is quick to respond.
JJ: Let me answer that before you try and turn it into something that it’s not Tony, you see while yes the winner of the Bunkhouse Stampede will receive a future title match, there is no expiration to that contract, and if Lex Luger happens to win the Bunkhouse Stampedes then as long as Ric is the Champion that contract will just go into the safe until a time comes when it could be of use. As to why Lex would want to do this, as his financial advisor we discussed it and with winners of the qualifying Stampedes each receiving $10,000 and the winner of the main Final Stampede not only winning a title opportunity AT A LATER DATE, but also a check for $100,000, well we just couldn’t pass that up.
As far as to why Arn and Tully are not signed up for any Stamepdes, they would have been, but with all the upcoming defenses of the World Tag Team Titles, we wanted to keep some open dates for when my lawyers have successfully changed the rules and Arn and Tully can challenge Nikita Koloff for the World Television Title. Now with Arn and Tully’s match about to take place I do feel it is time to end this interview.

We are off to a lightning fast pace as soon as the bell rings, even Gordon and Tony admit that they are having a hard time keeping up!!! Ricky and Robert are able to trap Tully on their side of the ring and get several nearfalls, bringing Arn Anderson into the ring and letting them tee off on him as well!!!! Arn finally turns the tables when he pulls down the top rope when Ricky is trying to run them and Ricky tumbles out of the ring to the floor!!
Arn rolls Ricky back into the ring and then tags out to Tully, fans Ricky Morton is in deep trouble and we have to take a commercial break!!!!!
We come back to Arn covering Morton in the middle of the ring!!!
TWO
THR------MORTON BARELY KICKS OUT!!!!!!!
Morton is reaching for a tag but Arn is having none of it, he drags Morton over to the Horsemen corner and he and Tully go to town on him. What follows is Tully and Arn doing what they do best, punishing Morton with double team moves and sheer brutality. They get several nearfalls but can’t put Morton away!!!!
They try double whipping Morton into the ropes, Morton ducks a double clothesline and then connects with a crossbody block on both men!!!!!! Gibson is dying of the tag!!!!! Morton inches closer and closer to Gibson!!!!
JJ Dillon jumps on the apron and distracts Tommy Young!!!!!!
MORTON MAKES THE TAG!!!!
GIBSON JUMPS INTO THE RING AND IS UNLOADING ON BOTH ARN AND TULLY!!! HE SLAMS THEIR HEADS TOGETHER!!!!
WAIT!!!! TOMMY YOUNG IS STOPPING GIBSON!!!! HE IS PUSHING GIBSON OUT OF THE RING, HE NEVER SAW THE TAG!!!!!!
Gibson is irate!!!!! JJ is proud of himself as he drops off the apron, but Gibson isn’t going to let him get away unscathed as he drops to the floor and grabs JJ from behind and runs him into the ringpost!!!!! JJ Dillon is out cold on the floor and is bleeding!!!!! Gibson jumps back on the apron and is banging on the top turnbuckle, trying to will Morton to make the tag!!!
Tully grabs Morton and attempts a Slingshot Suplex, but Morton slips out behind Tully, he then rolls Tully up!!!!
ONE!!!!
TWO!!!!!!!
ARN COMES INTO THE RING TO BREAK IT UP BUT WHEN HE DROPS AN ELBOW, MORTON MOVES AND ARN HITS TULLY!!!!!!!!
Arn can’t believe it!!!! Morton goes to kick Arn, Arn catches his foot but then Morton connects with an enziguri!!!!! Morton then dives to the corner and makes the tag to Gibson, this time Young sees it!!!!
Gibson unloads on Arn and sends him out of the ring!!!! Tully rips at Gibson’s eyes, he tries to whip Gibson into the corner but Gibson reverses it!!! Tully crashes into the corner, Gibson follows him in and monkey flips Tully out!!!!! Morton is back on his feet, Tully is staggering up!!!!
DOUBLE DROPKICK!!!!!!!
GIBSON COVERS!!!!

Robert is celebrating, but Young pulls his arm down and tell him about Tully’s foot!!! Tully has rolled to the corner and tagged out to Arn!!! Arn bashes Gibson from behind!!! Morton charges Arn but Arn backdrops him out of the ring!!!!!! No DQ because it was inadvertent!!! Arn tries to Irish whip Gibson, Gibson reverses it!!! Gibson goes for a dropkick but Arn grabs the top rope to stop his momentum and Gibson crashes hard to the mat!!!!! Arn hurries to Gibson pulls him to his feet and hits the gordbuster!!!!! Arn makes the cover!!!!
