McMahon, “Happy New Year Jesse!”
Ventura, “It’s going to be a great new year, the ‘Million Dollar Man’ is the WWF Champion, and I think he’s going to keep that title!”
McMahon, “He has both the ‘Macho Man’, and Roddy Piper, on his trail.”
Ventura, “Maybe not after today. I think those two might eliminate each other in the main event.”
McMahon, “You’d like that, wouldn’t you, Jesse!”
Ventura, “I sure would! The WWF is better with the ‘Million Dollar Man’ in charge!”
McMahon, “Our main event will be Piper and Savage vs. DiBiase and Virgil. Let’s go to the ring and see Hillbilly Jim in action.”
Ventura, “The ‘Hick from Mudlick’!”
Match #1
Hillbilly Jim vs. Red Demon
The popular Hillbilly takes on the masked man. Jim looks very sharp. He is very aggressive, and the Demon is in trouble. Jim uses the high knee for the win.

Match #2
The Hart Foundation w/Jimmy Hart vs. Chris Carter and George South
The Hart Foundation is one of the best tag teams in the business. Carter and South will be a good test. Neidhart and South open the contest. The “Anvil” is very aggressive. He pounds away at South. Neidhart slams him and goes for the cover. South kicks out, and tags in Carter. He. Punts a comeback, but Hart tags in, and takes over. The Foundation use the Hart attack for the win.
Winners-The Hart Foundation
Sean Mooney is with the “Million Dollar Man”, and Virgil.
Mooney, “With me are the Million Dollar Man, and his bodyguard, Virgil. Mr. DiBiase, you have a challenging tag team match today. Roddy Piper, and Randy Savage, both want your title, and today, they are on the opposite side of the ring.”
DiBiase, “HAHAHAHA! Those two can’t work together. Virgil, and I, won’t have to do anything. We’ll just let them fight it out!”
Mooney, “That sounds well and good, but it might not be that easy. Whatever happens today, you will have to face Randy Savage at the Main Event in February.”
DiBiase, “Just another easy night for the Million Dollar Man! HAHAHAHA!”
Mooney, “A very confident WWF Champion.”

Non-Title Match
The Ultimate Warrior (Intercontinental Champion) vs. The Brooklyn Brawler
The Warrior hits the ring at full speed. He attacks the Brawler, and the New Yorker doesn't know what hit him. He takes to the floor to regroup. He returns to the ring, and tries a few illegal tactics. They don’t work. The Warrior uses the press slam, and splash for the win.

Match #4
Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Barry Horowitz
The mysterious “Snake” brings his ominous green bag into the ring. Horowitz is a fine wrestler, but Jake is one of the best. Barry puts up a good fight, and keeps Jake on his toes. Roberts proves to be too much. He lands the DDT, and Barry is out. Jake pulls Damien out of the bag, and drapes him over Horowitz. Jake Roberts remains one of the most intimidating wrestlers in the sport.

Sean Mooney is seated at the “Royal Rumble Control Center”.
Mooney, “Sunday night, January 22, is the date. The ‘Royal Rumble’ will be at the Providence Civic Center, and air live on the USA Network. Here is what we know so far.
The Von Erich Brothers meet the Nasty Boys
The Ultimate Warrior defends the Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Perfect
We will also have a contract signing for the WWF Title match at the ‘Main Event’ that will take place, live on NBC on February 17. The ‘Million Dollar Man’ will meet ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage. The contract signing could well present fireworks.
We can add one more match, Roddy Piper will meet Ted DiBiase’s bodyguard Virgil. Let’s hear from Mr. Piper.”
Piper, “Virgil, you’re a great athlete, nobody denies that! Get away from DiBiase, he’s using you! I’m not going to take you lightly, I know how good you are! I want to see you on your own, and I’m going to teach you a lesson about being a man!”
Mooney, “‘Hot Rod’, never at a loss for words. Now let’s talk about the ‘Royal Rumble’ itself. Two men begin in the ring, and then every two minutes a new man enters, until 20 men are in the match. To be eliminated, a man must be thrown over the top rope, and his feet must touch the floor. The last man standing is the winner. So far, we know that these men will compete,
Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Tony Atlas, Nikolai Volkoff, Earthquake, Billy Jack Haynes, Honky Tonk Man, Brutus Beefcake, Paul Roma, Jim Powers.

Also, a ‘mystery wrestler’ will compete. We have tried to find out this man’s identity, but so far, he remains a mystery. If you are counting, that is 18 men. Next week, we will announce the final two entrants in the ‘Royal Rumble’. Remember, January 22, at the Providence Civic Center, and live on the USA Network!”

The Rockers vs. The Conquistadors
The popular Rockers take on the masked men. Marty Jannetty starts with Conquistador #2. The masked man uses his bag of dirty tricks, and Jannetty is on the defensive. The men from Latin America tag in and out. Finally Jannetty is able to escape, and tag in Shawn Michaels. Shawn cleans house and the crowd goes crazy. Things go back and forth until the Rockers use the Rocker dropper on #1, and take fall.
Winners-The Rockers
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Roddy Piper, Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth.
Okerlund, “With me are Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, and the lovely Miss Elizabeth. Gent,even, I’ll get right to it. A lot of people don’t think you can get along. They think, because you both want the WWF Title, you can’t function as a team.”
Piper, “‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund, you might be right. Maybe we can’t get along, but that won’t matter! Look at the ‘Macho Man’, he’s one of the best, not as good as RP, but one of the best! DiBiase, and Virgil can’t beat us! We don’t have to be friends, we just have to fight! Besides, if Savage gets scared, he can hide behind Elizabeth!”
Savage, “Roddy Piper, you’re right about one thing, yes you are! We don’t have to be friends, and you’re right about one more thing, I’m not as good as you, I’m better, yes sir, I am! DiBiase, Virgil, you’re time is coming!”
Okerlund, “Vince, Jesse, I don’t know how ‘united’ this team is!”

Roddy Piper and Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Ted DiBiase and Virgil
What a match! Vince and Jesse continue to question whether Piper, and Savage, can get along. Virgil starts with Piper. Virgil is very good in the ring. He goes toe to toe with the Scottish legend. Virgil throws rights and lefts, and Piper returns in kind. We have a pier six brawl. Piper backs up Virgil, and he tags in the “Million Dollar Man”. DiBiase slows the pace. He and Piper lock up. DiBiase uses his wrestling skill to control the action. Piper is able to tag in Savage, and he goes eye to eye with DiBiase. They lock up. Two great wrestlers match move after move. Ted begins to use more and more roughhouse tactics. Finally all four men end up in the ring. In the confusion, Piper, and DiBiase are brawling, Savage mounts the top rope. He fries to drop an elbow on DiBiase, but Ted moves, and Savage hits Piper. Roddy goes down. DiBiase covers him. Referee Joey Marella counts the fall! Piper was not the legal man, but that’s not the big story! Did Savage do this on purpose? Piper gets to his feet. He’s confused. Savage is arguing with Marella. Piper realizes Savage hit him. They end up nose to nose until cooler heads prevail. What a mess!
Winners-Ted DiBiase and Virgil
Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura close the show.
McMahon, “Jesse, what a stupid mistake by Joey Marella! Roddy Piper wasn’t the legal man!”
Ventura, “That doesn’t matter! Piper and Savage are at each other’s throats! Neither one can beat DiBiase if they aren’t focused!”
McMahon, “I agree with you on that. Let’s talk about next week. The ‘Hulkster’ will be here. He meets, a newcomer, the Super Assassin! Join us then!”
