McMahon, “Welcome to “WWF Superstars”! Jesse, we are in America's Heartland, Ft. Wayne, IN!”
Ventura, “Look at all these farmers! They loaded up their wagons and came to see the WWF!”
McMahon, “These are fine people, and great wrestling fans! We have a great main event today, Randy Savage, with the lovely Elizabeth, takes on Bam Bam Bigelow!”
Ventura, “McMahon, those are two of the best wrestlers in the business. The Macho Man wants the Million Dollar Man, but he better not overlook Bam Bam!”
McMahon, “We will also see the Von Erich Brothers take on the Conquistadors, and we will hear from WWF President Jack Tunney. He has more information about the Royal Rumble. Let’s get things started with Hillbilly Jim in action.”
Ventura, “These hicks will love him, he’s one of their own!”
Match #1
Hillbilly Jim vs. George South
Plays and Hillbilly Jim comes to the ring. The popular Mudlick, KY resident comes to the ring. South is an experienced veteran, and he gives Jim a tough go. Hillbilly is too much and wins with a high knee.

Mr. Perfect w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Chris Carter
Perfect is hot on the trail of the Ultimate Warrior, and the Intercontinental Title. He is one of the finest wrestlers in the business. Perfect is very sharp, and he gets several nearfalls. Carter puts up a good fight, but the Perfect plex wins it.

Sean Mooney is seated in front of a”Royal Rumble” banner.
Mooney, “Welcome to the ‘Royal Rumble Control Center’. We are three weeks away from the big event. Sunday night, January 22, at the Providence Civic Center, and live on the USA Network. Last week, we announced five participants in the Royal Rumble, today we name five more. You will see,

That’s ten men so far. We can also announce another singles match. The Ultimate Warrior will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Perfect. Perfect has come come very close to winning the title, but the Warrior has held onto it. Now, for big news. Let’s go to WWF President Jack Tunney.”
Jack Tunney is seated at his desk.
Tunney, “Hello, my name is Jack Tunney, and I am the President of the World Wrestling Federation. I have a big announcement to make. On the heels of the ‘Royal Rumble’, the WWF will present the ‘Main Event’. Professional wrestling has not aired, live, on network television, for some 30 years. On Friday night, February 17, it will return. We will be at Market Square Arena, in Indianapolis, IN. Bell time is 8:00 PM, and we will be live on NBC. Such a momentous night must have a momentous main event, and we have one. Ted DiBiase will defend the WWF Title against ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage. This brings us back to the Royal Rumble. The official contract for the WWF Title match will be signed, live, at the Royal Rumble. The WWF continues to bring you the best in wrestling action.”
Mooney, “WOW! That is a bombshell! The Royal Rumble match, the Von Erichs, the Intercontinental Title match, and now this contract signing! Don’t miss the Royal Rumble, live on the USA Network.”

Demolition (WWF Tag Team Champions) w/Mr. Fuji vs. S.D. Jones and Calypso Jim
The Champions take on the popular team of Jim, and S.D. Smash starts for Demolition and Jones for his team. SD puts up a good fight, and Smash is frustrated. He picks up the aggressiveness. Now Jones is in retreat. He tags in Jim, and the popular man from the Islands goes to work. He looks good. Smash tags in Ax. He goes right after Jim. Demolition is unstoppable. They use Demolition decapitation on Calypso, and the pin is an afterthought.

George “The Animal” Steele vs. Nikolai Volkoff w/Slick
Two brawlers meet in this one. The unorthodox Steele goes right after the big Russian. He batters Volkoff, and Nikolai returns the attack. We have a knock down, drag out war. Slick shouts instructions to Volkoff. Steele is relentless, but Volkoff is too much. He gets Steele up in backbreaker. George submits.
Winner-Nikolai Volkoff
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth.
Okerlund, “With me are the ‘Macho Man’, and his lovely manager, Elizabeth. Macho Man, you are hot on the trail of The ‘Million Dollar Man’, but today’s it’s Bam Bam Bigelow. He is a monster!”
Savage, “Bam Bam Bigelow! He's a monster, yes he is! Gene Okerlund, you’re right! I want the WWF Title, and I want to beat DiBiase, but I’m not overlooking Bam Bam, no I’m not!”
Okerlund, “What about Roddy Piper? He wants the title as well.”
Savage, “Roddy Piper is a friend of mine, yes he is! He has his business, that what he does! He wants that title. But I’m getting there first, yes I am! Piper, you do your thing, and I’ll do mine!”
Okerlund, “Savage and Bigelow, but there is a lot more going on!”

The Von Erich Brothers vs. The Conquistadors
The popular Texans meet the masked men from Latin American. Kevin opens with Conquistador #1. They lock up, and the masked man drives a knee to Kevin’s midsection. He continues to attack, and Kevin retaliates. He won’t back down. Kevin works over the masked man and tags in Kerry. #1 is in trouble, but is able to tag in his partner. He goes after Kerry, but the man from Dallas is too much. He takes over, and wins with a tornado punch.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Bam Bam Bigelow w/Slick
Bigelow, Slick and referee Joey Marella, wait in the ring.
The “Macho Man”, and Miss Elizabeth come to the ring. This should be an exciting match, and it begins that way. Both men are aggressive, and hard hitting. Bigelow whips Savage into the ropes, and drops him with a shoulder tackle. Savage goes down, and Bigelow puts the boots to him. Elizabeth looks worried at ringside. Savage fights his way back into the match. Things look like they are going Randy’s way. Suddenly, Ted DiBiase, and Virgil hit the ring. They attack Savage. They pound, and kick, the Macho Man. He is in trouble. Things look bad for the Macho Man. Roddy Piper hits the ring. He goes after DiBiase and Virgil. They high tail it out of the ring. Piper and Savage are nose to nose. Savage puts the bad mouthing on Piper and shoves him. Piper shoves back. Savage takes the mic.
Savage, “Piper, I didn’t need your help! You stuck your nose into my business again!”
Piper grabs the mic.
Piper, “Look Savage, you needed me! Those two morons got the drop on you, you were in trouble! You needed me!”
Savage shakes his head no.
Piper, “We need to stick together! Next week, you and me against DiBiase and Virgil, if they’re not chicken!”
Savage grabs the mic again.
Savage, “O.K. Piper, I’ll do it! But you better prove to me I can trust you!”
Winner-Randy Savage (Disqualification)
Vince McMahon, and Jesse Ventura close the show.
McMahon, “It looks like we have a main event next week, but can Piper and Savage trust each other?”
Ventura, “They better! DiBiase and Virgil are that good, Piper and Savage can’t afford to be at each other’s throats!”
McMahon, “We will find out next week!”
