-We go now to Channel 5 Studios here in Memphis to Lance Russell and Dave Brown-
Lance Russell and Dave Brown welcome us to “Championship Wrestling ‘84”, and they with VTR footage of Jake “The Snake” Roberts debuting in CWA as the corner man for Jerry “The King” Lawler. They bring out Lawler and Roberts, who is coyly smiling as Lawler shakes hands with Lance and Dave. Lawler tells Lance that Jimmy Hart knows now how serious he is about running King Kong Bundy out of the CWA. Lawler says people are saying he made a deal with the devil – and maybe he is, but the consequences are worth getting rid of Bundy.
Jake “The Snake” Roberts is then asked about his intentions here in the CWA. Roberts smiles and says his intentions were originally to show up in Memphis, collect some money from Lawler and get the job done. Jake says he got most of the way there on Monday, but Bundy still stands. So until that’s no longer the case, he will stand by the King’s side here in CWA. Not out of friendship. He and Jerry Lawler aren’t friends. But, Jake agreed to do a dirty job and he will make sure it gets done.
CWA Heavyweight Champion “Superstar” Bill Dundee is out now and he tells Jerry Lawler that he is making a huge mistake. Dundee saw how Jake Roberts operated in Mid-South and he can guarantee that The Snake will turn on him soon or later. Lawler tells Dundee that he appreciates the concern, but Bill was trying to send The King out of CWA when they last saw each other. So as far as advice goes, The King says ‘thanks but no thanks’. Dundee shakes his head and tells The King not to say he wasn’t warned about The Snake. Roberts just stands in the back smiling as Dundee walks off. Lawler then says this Monday, he and the Snake will take out Bundy and Rude and become Southern Tag Team Champions in the process.
MATCH: JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS vs. NICK KINISKI:
Roberts defeats Kiniski via pinfall at 6:02 with a DDT… Jerry Lawler remains on commentary and discusses the risk that he is taking by teaming with Jake. The Snake toys with young Kiniski and finishes him off with a running knee lift and then the dangerous DDT.
“Hotstuff” Eddie Gilbert and Tommy Gilbert are out after the match, and Eddie is none too pleased about having lost to the Rock n’ Roll Express last Monday. Tommy tells Lance Russell that Morton and Gibson showed themselves to be the biggest cheaters in CWA, which Russell scoffs at. Eddie is heated and says people are always messing with him and holding him down around here. Eddie says that changes this Monday when and his “dear father” win the Southern Tag Team Titles. If the Rock n’ Roll Express get in their way, they’ll get a lesson in Gilbert family values! Eddie promises to bring the gold back to the First Family!

That starts with his vicious Moondogs, who will become Southern Tag Team Champions on Monday. However, Humperdink recently travelled to Europe and he will soon debut the mos dangerous man in wrestling. Lance asks who the man is, but Humperdink says everyone in CWA will just have to wait to see who this mystery man is.

Doll scores the turning point with a dropkick, and then tags in Zenk for a flying sunset flip off the top rope to score a big win going into the Southern Tag Team Title tournament.
CWA Heavyweight Champion “Superstar” Bill Dundee is back out now to speak with Dave Brown. Dundee says that he tried to warn Jerry “The King” Lawler earlier, but the chips will fall where they may with Jake Roberts. The Superstar then discusses his title match with Robert Fuller this week. Dundee says that Fuller is a good friend of his and a very tough wrestler. He expects one heck of a match, but the Superstar just won this gold belt and he isn’t ready to give it up yet! Dundee then goes to shake hands with the fans around the ringside area as Lance Russell and Dave Brown send us to break.

The Dutchman then closes the interview by sarcastically wishing whoever Tommy Rich has chosen as a partner for this Monday because he’ll probably end up wrestling by himself!
THE DIRTY WHITE BOY w/ Dutch Mantell vs. RANDY BARBER:
