1) The Moondogs: Spot & Rex (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) defeated The New Generation: Steve Doll & Tom Zenk by pinfall at 5:45 when Moondog Rex connected with a double knee drop on Steve Doll to get the pin.
2) ”Ravishing” Rick Rude (w/ Jimmy Hart) wrestled Tracy Smothers to a time limit draw at 15:00. Smothers continued to impress by taking the former Southern Champ to the limit, which stunned both Hart and Rude.
3) Dutch Mantell defeated ”Wildfire” Tommy Rich by pinfall at 10:23 when he managed to roll up Rich and put his feet on the ropes for leverage. This was a wild match where Rich drew Mantell’s blood by landing several brutal right hands to the forehead in a row.
4) CWA Heavyweight Champion ”Hotstuff” Eddie Gilbert (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeated Phil Hickerson by pinfall at 9:41 when Gilbert came off the top rope with a sunset flip to score the win over the much larger opponent.
5) ”Superstar” Bill Dundee defeated The Dirty White Boy by pinfall at 13:34 with the Bomb’s Away knee drop off the top rope in his return to CWA. Dundee earned a mixed reaction when he first emerged from the dressing room, but won the crowd over by the end of the match.
INTERMISSION
6) The Rock n’ Roll Express: Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson defeated The Masked Nitemares: #1 & #2 by pinfall at 11:23 when Ricky Morton scored the pin on one of the Masked Nitemares following stereo dropkicks. These Nitemares look different in size than Jimmy Hart's former team.
7) Jerry “The King” Lawler defeated Playboy Frazier (w/ Jimmy Hart) by pinfall at 8:11 when Lawler came off the top rope with the flying fist drop. The King took the fight to the much larger Frazier and managed to score a major win.
8) Southern Heavyweight Champion King Kong Bundy (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeated ”Macho Man” Randy Savage by count-out at 12:04 when Savage was severely injured. Savage put up a hell of a fight and seemed to have Bundy on the run, but a cross-body block was caught by Bundy. He hurled Savage all the way out to the floor. Bundy then slammed Macho Man on the ringside table, backed up and splashed him right through it! Bundy returned to the ring while the referee counted out a lifeless Randy Savage.
Jerry “The King” Lawler, the Rock n’ Roll Express, “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, Phil Hickerson, Bill Dundee, Tracy Smothers and Eddie Marlin were all out after the match as Randy Savage was loaded onto an ambulance and wheeled out of the Mid-South Coliseum, as Bundy and Hart looked on laughing. Lawler was boiling with anger as he looked back at the ring.
