Bill Mercer is seated at the announce desk.
Mercer, “Welcome to ‘World Class Championship Wrestling’. We have an exciting hour of wrestling for you. We will see all three Von Erichs in action, Chris Adams will be here as well as Gino Hernandez, the man who holds both major singles titles. We have an American Tag Team Championship match for our main event, Buck Zumhofe and Iceman King Parsons take on the rugged bikers from California, the Davidson Brothers. We will also talk about the big show at the State Fair of Texas. Let’s go to the action.”
Dale Veasey and referee Bronko Lubich are waiting in the ring and we hear,
The “Modern Day Warrior”. Kerry Von Erich, hits the ring and the crowd goes crazy.
Match #1
Kerry Von Erich vs. Dale Veasey
The tough Veasey is a good test for the former World Champion. Von Erich is very sharp and there is little Veasey can do. Kerry uses the Von Erich Claw for the win.
Winner-Kerry Von Erich
We return from commercial; and the masked Mexican team, Los Diablos, wait in the ring. We hear,
Kevin and Mike Von Erich arrive in the ring,
Match #2
Los Diablos vs. Kevin and Mike Von Erich
The masked team jumps the Von Erichs before the bell. They pound away at them until Kevin and Mike rally and the Mexican team takes to the floor to regroup. The Sportatorium crowd goes crazy. They return to the ring and the rest of the match belongs to the Von Erichs. They dominate the action and Kevin uses the Flying Bodypress to pin Diablo #1.
Winners-Kevin and Mike Von Erich
Kerry, Kevin and Mike Von Erich are with Marc Lowrance.
Lowrance, “With me are the Von Erichs. Gentlemen, you were successful tonight, but there are challenges ahead.”
Kevin, “That’s right, Marc. None of us have titles right now and that’s not right. We are looking at all the possibilities Kerry and I would love to get a shot at Hernandez. He has both singles titles, and he’s not the kind of guy we want to represent Texas, or World Class.”
Lowrance, “That leads me to the World Six Man Titles. The Canadian team beat the Freebirds and there is talk that they are coming to World Class. I know you three would like to win back those titles.”
Kerry, “You got that right. The Freebirds stole the titles and then chickened out and left Texas. Now this Canadian team is coming and we want those titles back.”
Lowrance, “Stay tuned for more information about where the Von Erichs will be in action.”
Match #3
Al Madril vs. Chris Adams
Before the bell rings, Gary Hart comes to ringside with a clipboard. He pulls a chair into the corner and sits down. The match begins and it is a great one. Madril matches the “Gentleman” move for move. Hart takes notes at ringside. Madril gets a quick two count and Adams does the same. Both men have their chances, but Adams uses the Superkick for the win. Hart gets up and walks over to the announce desk. He is joined by Gino Hernandez.
Winner-Chris Adams
Marc Lowrance is with Gary Hart and Gino Hernandez.
Lowrance, “First of all, Mr. Hart, what were you doing during Chris Adams. match?”
Hart, “That’s none of your business…”
Hernandez, “That’s right, you’ve got the most handsome, and successful wrestler in the business right here and you want to talk about something else. One million women just turned the channel, and it’s your fault.”
Lowrance, “Alright, I’ll leave that alone. Gino Hernandez has the rare honor of holding both major singles titles. That makes him a target of every wrestler in the world.”
Hart, “Gino Hernandez has proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that he is the top wrestler in the World. He has taken over Texas and will hold the titles as long as he wants to. It doesn't matter if it's a Von Erich, or someone else, Gino will remain the Champion.”
Hernandez, ”Just remember, I am your Champion!”
Match #4
Texas Championship
Gino Hernandez (Champion) w/”Playboy” Gary Hart vs. Johnny Mantell
Hernandez takes the mike from Marc Lowrance.
Hernandez, “Listen to me you Drugstore Cowboy! I’m feeling generous tonight. If you beat me, you can have both titles, but it’s not going to happen!”
The bell rings and Mantell is on fire The “Pride of Montague County” takes the fight to the Champion and Gino is in trouble. Mantell gets a two count and he almost took titles in one blow. Hernandez takes to the floor and confers with Hart. He returns and takes the fight to Mantell. Johnny puts up a good fight, but Gino wins with the Elbow Drop. Hernandez holds both titles and looks into the camera.
Hernandez, “I am your Champion!”

American Tag Team Championship
Buck Zumhofe and Iceman King Parsons (Champions) vs. The Davidson Brothers
The popular Champions come to the ring with “We are Family” playing in the background. The big, California, bikers will be a tough challenge. The bell rings and Zumhofe and Rick Davidson are in the ring. Davidson uses his size to inflict punishment on the Rock and Roller. Zumhofe, with the crowd behind him, takes the fight to the bigger man. Davidson is reeling and he tags in his twin brother Zumhofe tags in the Iceman and the man from St. Louis takes over. He works over Davidson and wins with the Butt Bump. The Champions retain the titles.
Winners-Buck Zumhofe and Iceman King Parsons
Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, “What a night of action! World Class Championship Wrestling continues to provide the best in wrestling action. Let’s talk about what is coming up. We have a terrific main event scheduled for next week’s program. Gino Hernandez will defend the American Title against...Kevin Von Erich! Don’t miss that one! We also have more information about the big show at the State Fair of Texas. October 20 will be the date and the State Fair Coliseum is the place. We have one match to announce for that card. Buck Zumhofe and Iceman Parsons will defend the American Tag Team Titles against the former Champions, the Long Riders. Don’t miss any World Class action!
