Eastern Championship Wrestling12/01/93 - Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NYOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans; this is Mean Gene Okerlund joining you tonight for Eastern Championship Wrestling right here on our home channel TNN; tonight airing live from Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. Joining me here at ringside is my co-host "Leaping" Lanny Poffo. Good evening Lanny.
Poffo: "Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Okerlund: What?"
Poffo: Genius.
Okerlund: Oh. Er. Right. Joining me tonight is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Correct. And thank you Gene. It's great to be seen.
Oriental music begins to play interrupting a startled Lanny Poff. On the entrance ramp appears Mr. Fuji; followed by Yoshihiro Tajiri and Taka Michinoku whom he leads down to ringside.
Okerlund: It appears it's time to get the first match of the evening underway. Hailing from Tokyo, Japan led by the diabolical Mr. Fuji is the terrible tandem he is calling The New Orient Express.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. Whether it's Demolition, Powers of Pain; or even the old Orient Express; whenever Fuji is involved with a team they're bound to impress.
The Bill Conti Overture plays as Jerry "The King" Lawler and his son Brian Christopher appear on the entrance ramp and head toward the ring.
Okerlund: And now making their way to the ring from Memphis, Tenessee; the father and son team of Jerry "The King" Lawler and Brian Christopher. These two have definitely had their differences in the past. It will be interesting to see how they come together in this match.Tag-Team Match: The New Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji vs. The Lawlers The match begins with Brian Lawler and Taka Michinoku in the ring as the two opponents lock up. Taka gets an early drop on Lawler who soon recovers. There is a back and forth battle until Taka takes Lawler down with a flying headscissors which he fails to capitalize on. A tag is made by Christopher and Jerry Lawler is soon in the ring wailing on his less experienced opponent. Grabbing the stunned Michinoku, Lawler hits the belly to back suplex; sending the now desperate man to his corner where he tags in Tajiri. The Japanese Buzzsaw uses a flurry of kicks on Lawler Sr. but it's in vain as Jerry is on fire knocking Tajiri to the ground with an elbow to the face. However he is soon blinded while referee Mike Hyson is being distracted by Michinoku; Fuji hits Lawler with a face full of salt. A seasoned veteran, Lawler knows time is of the essence and makes it to his corner where he tags in his son who climbs the turnbuckle and delivers a diving leg drop on Tajiri before making the pin.
Okerlund: And the Lawlers pull off the victory. What an amazing opening matchup. Poffo: A brilliant win for father and son indeed. Their grandest together since they planted his seed.
Okerlund: Ahem. That was a bit unnecessary...Pomp and Circumstance hits as The Macho Man Randy Savage struts his way down to ringside. He looks like he's been happier. Savage: Beeschoff! Beefschoff! Git your little runty ass down to this ring. You and the Macho Man Raandy Savage have a date with heestory. Yeah.
White Train Showdown by Tito and Tarantula blasts as Eric Bischoff appears on stage. Bischoff: Randy, Randy, Randy. What seems to be the problem?
Savage: Seems. Seems to me the problem is your lily chicken liver isn't down here facing me like a man. ooh yeah. Git down here Beeschoff.
Bischoff: Ra-
Savage: Git. Down. Here.
Bischoff: Okay Randy. I'm down here. What is it?
Savage: What it is; is you made promises Beeschoff. You wanted the Macho Man Randy Savage. You got the Macho Man. Now the Macho Man be wanting the gold 'schoff. He wants to look bold with the Championship gold around hid waist. Now he's here fo' his taste. Dig it.
Bischoff: I dig it Randy. You got it.
Savage: Damned straight I got it. Macho Man bedda git it. Or Macho Man gonna do some walkin'. Gonna do some walkin right up that ramp yeah. Right out that door yeah. And right out this stank arena yea. Leave all these fans boo hoo hooing yeah. Fans? What fans? Cause you know these people. These people here be here to see the Macho Man. And only the Macho Man. Dig it. Yeah.
Bischoff: Which is why tonight; in this very ring they will see the Macho Man in action against "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson in a number one contender's match for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship!
Savage: Oooh yeah. Wait. Wha-?As Eastern Championship Wrestling returns; a new scene plays out in the ring as Blue Demon Jr. stalks back and forth.
Okerlund: And welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. Already in the ring hailing from Mexico City, Mexico; the Blue Demon Jr. That was certainly a monster announcement Bischoff made for the Main Event. Savage. Anderson. For a chance at the Eastern Heavyweight Chamionship. Should be one amazing tournament.
Poffo: Indeed. Over the next two events there will be eight tournament matches setting up the semi-finals in our third week. This will be a contest definitely not recommended for the meek. And presently we'll see if this masked marauder is someone for whom the contendership was wise to seek.
An annoying buzzing noise is heard as B. Brian Blair makes his way to the ring; handing his leather jacket to acting referee Danny Davis.
Okerlund: And hailing from Gary, Indiana; one half of the tag-team known collectively as The Killer Bees; B. Brian Blair.
Poffo: I just refer to him as the one with the moustache.
Okerlund: Right.Match: Blue Demon Jr. vs. B. Brian Blair The bell rings and the challengers lock up. Blue Demon Jr. scores an early advantage as he gets behind Blair and hits him with a neckbreaker. Dazed Blair recovers and the two exchange a variety of blows when the Demon goes for a hurricanrana and is caught in mid-air by Blair who power bombs him to the floor. Moving in for the kill as his opponent lays unmoving Blair locks in the sleeper hold. Waking and gaining a sense of what's going on Blue Demon Jr. tries to fight his way out but instead loses consciousness and the match as Davis calls for the bell.Luna Vachon's theme music is playing as she makes her way down to the ring accompanied by her manager Lady Alexandra.
Okerlund: I had a chance to talk with these lovely; er; ladies earlier today and it seems Mad Dog's little girl is hellbent on becoming Eastern Championship's first Women's Champion. Along with the Atlanta, Georgia native is of course her manager she hired recently to help her get just that.
Poffo: Let it be known that The Genius has had his share; but would attempt to woo this Lady Fair.
Okerlund: I'm not sure if you're her type Poffo.
The Jumping Bomb Angels intro music sounds as Itsuki Yamazuki appears on stage.
Okerlund: And here is her challenger from Tochigi, Japan; one half of the Jumping Bomb Angels; Itsuki Yamazuki.
Poffo: Or as they're called in Japan Tobikomi Tenshi Bakudan.
Okerlund: I wasn't aware you spoke Japanese.
Poffo: Of course. I am a Genius.Match: Luna Vachon w/ Lady Alexandra vs. Itsuki Yamazaki As the match begins Luna Vachon resembles a fish out of water as she is unable to keep up with the pace set by her opponent Itsuki Yamazaki who is continually going airborne. Catching ahold of Yamazaki's hair; Vachon tosses her to the mat and leaping on her proceeds to deliver several blows to her challenger's face and chest. Throwing Luna off of her Itsuki rolls out of her reach and getting to her feet mounts another offensive; taking Vachon down again with a leg drop. Headed back to the ropes Itsuki moves into the ropes for a springboard only to be nailed in the back by an elbow from Lady Alexandra unbeknownst to referee Teddy Long. Back on her feet Luna has recovered in time to hip toss a hobbling Yamazuki back to the mat where she sets her opponent up for the Luna Eclipse from the top turnbuckle; earning herself the 1-2-3.Okerlund: And welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling on it's home channel TNN. We're just about set for our next match; a 10 Man over the top Battle Royal to fill the second slot in our Tournament for the currently vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship.
Poffo: The first slot of course won by B. Brian Blair; to the winner of this event; he has but issued this warning: beware.10-Man Battle Royal Match: Steve Blackman vs. Mong Vyle vs. Buck Zumhoff vs. Brickhouse Brown vs. The Blitzkrieg (Glen Jacobs) w/ Baron Von Raschke vs. Rhino vs. Jim Brunzell vs. Doug Williams vs. Devon Hughes vs. Ron GarvinAs the bell rings referee Matt Hyson has his hands full maintaining order. Mongo Vyle starts battling with Devon Hughes as the Masked Monster Glen Jacobs begins wailing on Ron Garvin. Buck Zumhoff is speared by Rhino who nearly throws the grappler over the top seconds later; while Jim Brunzell forms a shaky alliance with young Doug Williams as the take on Brickhouse Brown together. When Glen Jacobs nearly eliminates Garvin; the old grappler is saved by Steve Blackman who assaults the giant with a barrage of kicks. Seemingly unfazed but annoyed by the assault; Jacobs lifts the shocked Blackman up by his head, throws him into the ropes; and clotheslines him from the ring; resulting in the first elimination of the match. Ron Garvin uses the distraction to his advantage and makes his escape; but Zumhoff isn't nearly as lucky when he is grabbed by the Monster and bodyslammed out of the ring to the mats below. Meanwhile Brunzell and Williams have managed to eliminate Brown; ending their uneasy alliance which sends the duo into combat against one another. Their feud is interrupted by a double clothesline from The Monster; sending them both over the ropes and out of the match. Devon Hughes meanwhile is pounding on his opponent Mongo Vyle who is seated on the top turn buckle. After delivering five more blows he pushes Vyle out of the ring to the floor below; leaps around back into the ring and yells "Testify!" pointing his finger right at The Monster Glen Jacobs. It's obvious Hughes didn't intend to single out such an opponent and he looks to the Garvin for help. The duo charge the Monster who fends off Hughes and grabs Garvin; whom he runs to ringside and power bombs to the floor. Rhino then attempts to gore Jacobs but is caught by the neck by the big man who hurls Rhino from the ring eliminating him. Stumbling to his feet Devon realizes he's been left alone with the 7' Monster. After some hesitation he moves in delivering several chops to Jacobs' chest sending him reeling back a bit. However the masked marauder soon has Hughes under his control as he lifts him into the air over his head and tosses him from the ring; winning the match.Okerlund: That was unbelievable. Can anyone stop this Masked Monster? He's buit like a German Tank.
Poffo: The Panzer Mark II or Mark VI?
With that Baron Von Raschke enters the ring and pushes Hyson aways from his charge The Monster Glen Jacobs and raises Jacobs' hand triumphantly before getting on the mic.
Raschke: Did you see? Did you see? This. This the Baron's Monster. Found in the Republic of Germany, raised by the Baron to be the most damning, the most punishing, the most unstoppable opponent. Future World Champion. Future ruler over all of you. You. You miserable cretins. You lowest of lows. Savage. Rude. Garvin. Anderson. None can stop it. All will be destroyed under the heel of Mangler's Monster; the Red Machine, the most horrible of horrors; The Blitzkrieg will engulf you all.

Rock America by Danger Danger is playing as Chris Jericho saunters down to the ring.
Okerlund: Entering the ring from Manhasset, New York Chris Jericho. And let me tell you something Lanny; I met this kid in the parking lot earlier today. Major attitude problem on this one.
Jericho's intro is replaced by Irish Folk music as "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady enters the arena throwing gold coins to the crowd from a mini-cauldron.
Jericho: Wait! Wait! Wait! What in th name of Jethro Tull be this?! You want Chris
Jericho? The Chosen Champion of Long Island to fight a friggedy frappinh Lepreachaun??!!!
Okerlund: Oh for the love of; as if anyone has any idea who this guy is.
Poffo: This even The Genius knows not. Okerlund: He doesn't seem to be making friends with Dublin, Ireland's Erin O'Grady that's for sure.
O'Grady enters the ring and walks up to Jericho.
O'Grady: Aye.
Jericho: Aye? Is that all you have to say there Darby O' Gill? Maybe you should just head on back to the land of the little people.
O'Grady: It's Erin O'Grady.
Jericho: I don't care what your name is! With this Erin O'Grady chucks the pot of coins into Jericho's face; sending gold everywhere and Jericho reeling backwards.Match: Chris Jericho vs. Erin O'Grady Erin O'Grady immediately goes on the offensive punching Jericho and sends him into an Irish whip. On his way back however Jericho counters with a tilt a whirl DDT which flattens O'Grady. Moving in for the cover referee Danny Davis is close to hitting the three when O'Grady kicks out. Angered Jericho jabs his thumb into Erin's eye and receives a warning from the ref. This gives O'Grady enough time to recover his senses and he's on his feet again kicking Jericho in the back. When he goes for another to Chris' gut he is caught however and taken down by a leg drag which Jericho turns into the sharpshooter. It obviously isn't locked in very well and O'Grady is able to roll onto his back and push his opponent off with his left foot sending Jericho stumbling into the ropes. Taking advantage of his newfound momentum O'Grady follows his foe and delivers a flying elbow to Jericho's back. Climbing on top of Jericho, O'Grady begins to grind his boot into Jericho's neck using the top rope for leverage but Chris grabs the Irishman's leg and pulls him down to the floor. Getting back up Jericho lies in wait as O'Grady makes it back to his feet. Hitting a one-handed bulldog planting O'Grady's face into the mat; Chris Jericho continues his assualt with a springboard moonsault; and going for the cover picks up the win. Rick Rude's theme plays as he makes his way down to the ring, removes his robe; and gives the ladies a look at the sexiest man alive.
Okerlund: The first challenger in our Triple Threat match for a place in our Heavyweight Championship tournament; from Robbinsdale Minnesota; the world's sexiest man in his own mind at least; Rick Rude.
Some generic music plays as Rick readies himself in the ring.
Okerlund: And our second challenger from the Antingua, West Indies; Special Delivery Jones.
Rodeo music begins to play.
Okerlund: And our final challenger in this match; from Weatherford Texas; Black Bart.
Black Bart joins S.D. Jones and Rick Rude in the ring; and after removing his hat and coat imitates Rude's dance. Jones finds this amusing.
Okerlund: Okay now that's just indecent.
Poffo: The Genius believes you to be understated.Triple Threat Match: Rick Rude vs. S.D. Jones vs. Black Bart Rick Rude angered by Black Bart's mocking locks up with him; but they are interrupted by a kick from S.D. Jones to Bart; breaking them up. Turning toward Rude, Jones begins hammering him but after a few seconds Rude blocks his attack and counters with his own. The trio goes back and forth until Jones hits Black Bart with a headbutt dazing him and opening up an opportunity for Rude to hit the back to belly piledriver on Bart; laying him out on the mat. Smashing Rude in the back; Jones looks to take advantage but Rude swings around with a clothesline; continuing on to choke his opponent into the ropes. Breaking the hold Jones begins hitting back but Rude goes down below with a drop toe hold; moving quickly onto his opponent Rude puts in the figure four leg lock. On his feet again Black Bart moves in to break up the hold only to arrive too late as Jones taps and referree Teddy Long calls for the bell. Angry with the outcome; Black Bart leaps onto Rude before he breaks his hold on Jones and begins beating on him. Managing to throw the heavier man off him Rude rolls from the ring and backs his way up the ramp rubbing his battered jaw. Okerlund: Man that was an ugly turn of events. I don't think we've seen the last of this.Poffo: Indeed Gene. But up next is what's to be seen. As our Main Event match is up next. To see if either Randy Savage or Arn Anderson shall be vext.Okerlund: Hello again Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. For those joining us now; you're just in time for our Main Event Match. Scheduled earlier this evening; this match will determine which of the challengers moves on in our Tournament for the currently vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Lanny, I believe it's safe to say you have a vested interest in tonight's outcome?
Poffo: I think it's only safe to say I once again have no idea what you're talking about.
Okerlund: But surely...
Poffo: To reiterate. Once again.
Pomp and Circumstance is once again heard as the Macho Man Randy Savage appears onstage as flamboyant as ever and makes his way down to the ring.
Okerlund: Anyways; hailing from Sarasota, Floria; the Macho Man; Randy Savage. And his challenger from Rome, Geogia; the Enforcer Arn Anderson.Main Event: Macho Man Randy Savage vs. The Enforcer Arn Anderson Arn Anderson's music is still playing as he makes it to the ring. He is not welcome however as Randy Savage moves to hit him each time he enters until referee Matt Hyson gets him to grudgingly stop. The bell rings and the two grapplers lock up; Anderson locking Savage's arm behind his back right away, adding more pain when he elbows Randy in the same shoulder. Continuing his assault he kicks his oppenents legs from behind him sending Savage to his knees where he holds him in a headlock. Battling his way out Savage mostly just fends off Anderson but lands a few blows of his own. Finally in frustration he gathers his strength throwing Anderson over the top rope to the floor. Running up the ring and turnbuckle; Savage goes airborne as he lands a diving double ax handle to a recovering Anderson outside of the ring. Picking up his opponent Savage then slams Anderson's head into the metal guard rail before rolling him back into the ring. Back inside himself now Savage starts kicking Arn on the ground until he is warned by Hyson to back off. Jumping up Anderson surprises Savage whom he takes down with a shoulder block. As the two land with Arn on top; he begins punching a desperate Macho Man who squirms his way to the bottom rope and salvation. As he gets to his feet Savage receives another kick to the gut by Anderson who grabs his head to move him into an Irish whip. However savvy Savage is one step ahead of Arn and grabbing his tights rolls him up into a small package; getting a two count before Anderson kicks out. The two begin trading punches again before Savage finally takes Anderson down with a clothesline. He is tired as he drags his way up to the top turnbuckle again; giving Anderson just enough time to get to his feet before Savage leaps hitting the flying crossbody. He gets another two count and cries out in frustration on his knees. Grabbing Arn in a headlock he begins smashing the Enforcer in the face thwarting any attempt by Anderson to break the hold. Finally Anderson moves Randy's arm away from his neck and uses Savage's own momentum to send him onto the ground. Getting to his feet Anderson delivers a kneedrop to the dazed face of the Macho Man. He then repeats the move; but is unable to stop Savage as he claws his way up Anderson himself to regain his footing. Both men showing obvious signs of fatigue as they exchange half hearted blows, Randy Savage catches Anderson off guard as he scoops him up delivering an inverted atomic drop. Scrambling for the cover Savage gets the three count and Hyson raises his hand in victory.
LIGHTS FADE.

12/08/93 - Long Island Arena Commack, NY
Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans; this is Mean Gene Okerlund joining you tonight for Eastern Championship Wrestling right here on our home channel TNN; tonight airing live from the Long Island Arena in Commack, NY. Joining me here at ringside is my co-host "Leaping" Lanny Poffo. Good evening Lanny... Lanny?
Poffo: I'm not repeating myself even if you are.
Okerlund: Oh right. Here with me at ringside is my co-host "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Thank you. Although you did it again.
Okerlund: What?
Poffo: Never mind. Thanks ladies and gentleman for joining us here tonight. This evening's Main Event is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson verus "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady; so be ready for a fight.
Okerlund: In addition to this evening's Main Event we will also have three more qualifying matches for our Tournament to determine our first ever Eastern Heavyweight Champion since our return. We are now however set for a catfight as our Women's division opens up tonight's show. Here now; our newly instated ring announcer Beulah McGillicutty.
McGillicutty: Making her way to the ring from Dallas, Texas weighing in at 119 lbs.; Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore.
Jacqueline makes her way down to the ring tossing her cowboy hat to referee Danny Davis; who helps her with her coat as the Jumping Bomb Angels intro starts.
McGillicuty: And her challenger from Tochigi, Japan weighing 140 lbs.; Itsuki Yamazaki.
Match: Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore vs. Itsuki Yamazaki
The two women lock up as the bell rings; Itsuki taking Jacqueline down with an arm drag moments later. Running toward her fallen opponent Yamazaki hits the diving leg drop from the mat. Regaining her feet she then kicks a dazed Jacqueline in the head and moves in for the cover. Jacqueline however isn't going down so easily as she kicks out at two and getting to her feet charges her opponent who is doing the same. Moore hits the leaping shoulder block sending Yamazuki flat onto her back with Jacqueline landing on top of her. Scrambing into position she attempts a bridging folding pin. Itsuki however kicks out at one and the two women begin beating on each other; Jacqueline ending it with a clothesline. Down on the floor Jacqueline goes to move on top of her opponent but Itsuki catches her with her legs, grabbing her head; and flips Jacqueline to the floor beside her. Jumping to her feet Yamazuki climbs the turnbuckle and goes for the dropkick but Jacqueline makes it to her feet in time and climbing up to her foe delivers a suplex from the top turnbuckle. Moving a bit slowly Miss Texas makes the cover and picks up the win.
Pomp and Circumstance is still playing when Eastern Championship Wrestling comes back from break. In the center or the ring Macho Man Randy Savage is already waiting with ECW President Eric Bischoff.
Bischoff: I'm glad you decided to come to the ring Randy. You see something's been bothering me since last week... and well frankly... I wanted to apologize.
Savage: That's not surprising Beeschoff. And this may come as a surprise to you; but the Macho Man Randy Savage doesn't remember last week. You see when you're great, important; a leeving freakin' legend; you're used to cheap shots, low blows from all sorts. And frankly you're barely a gnat in the Macho Man scheme of things. Dig it.
Bischoff: Understood. But my apology still stands. Last week with Arn Anderson. You gave an amazing performance. And I just wanted to thank you for it.
Savage: Well credit where credit is due; some thanks has to be given to The Enforcer himself yeah. A small, measly portion sure; for the Macho Man always, always elevates, raises, blows the roof off the damned universe in everything he does. And guys like Anderson, Hogan, Roberts, Rude; I bring them along for the ride see. They're small men allowed to partake in the greatness on board the Macho Train. Oooh yeah.
Bischoff: I noticed you didn't mention Austin.
Savage: Austin?
Bischoff: Yeah. "Stunning" Steve Austin.
Savage: Ooh yeah. I think I may have heard the name. In passing. Maybe written on a bathroom stall. You see the Macho Man pities Austin. It must be hard, damned hard. To be a nobody. A never was. A mere afterthought on a booker's card. And now he's top dog. On a sinking ship. A floundering vessel. The damned Hindenberg bursting in the flames of nothingness. A place that already saw it's prime dig. A place there that used to be jumping, pumping, kicking ass and taking names. Back when guys like Rude, Warrior, Roberts, Hogan, the Giant, and of course the ever-lovin' Macho Man hung their boots there. Yeah.
Bischoff: And the things he said about Elizabeth?
Savage: Heh. Heh. If he's so intent on the Macho Man's sloppy seconds he can have em. I'd give him an old pair of boots if he could fill 'em dig?
Okerlund: Strong words from the Macho Man Randy Savage who gave and won one hell of a match last Wednesday night right here on Eastern Championship Wrestling's home channel of TNN. You must be at least a little proud having witnessed it Lanny.
Poffo: Witnessed what?
Okerlund: Never mind. We're now going to commercial but we'll be back in five as Eastern Championship Wrestling returns as "The U.K. Kidd" Doug Williams takes on "The Machiavellian Mauler" Mongo Vyle.
McGillicutty: Weighing in at 235 lbs. from Manchester, England; introducing "The U.K. Kidd" Douglas Williams.
"God Save the Queen" by the Sex Pistols plays as Doug Williams storms the ring.
Mc Gillicutty: And his challenger from the bowery of Queens, NY weighing in at 329 lbs.; "The Machiavellian Mauler" Mongo Pyle.
Match: Douglas Williams vs. Mongo Vyle
Death metal assaults the ears of the arena as Mongo Vyle heads to the ring and nails Doug Williams in the chin before referee Teddy Long can start the match. The match officially begins as Mongo delivers a double axe handle to the back of a flailing Williams whose arm is then grabbed as Mongo Vyle pulls him in for a brutal clothesline. Vyle goes for a loose cover which Williams kicks out of at two. Angered Mongo begins stomping on Williams who manages to gain some distance by rolling out of the ring. Trying to reenter the match and the ring is thwarted when Vyle stomps on Williams' hand keeping his opponent on the outside. Getting in front of the furious big man Long gives Williams enough time to get in the ring. The two men then lock up and fight for an advantage until Williams leaps over Mongo and rolls him up getting a two count. Frustrated Mongo swings but gets caught in a full nelson facebuster by Williams who follows it up with a springboard moonsault; going for another cover which gets him another two count from Long. Regaining his footing Vyle punches his way free of Williams and tosses him into an Irish whip. On his way back however Williams counters with a running high knee that dazes the big man long enough for Williams to hit the northern lights suplex; bridging it for the win.
Okerlund: That was one spine buster of a match. That Williams boy sure can move.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. There's a great surge of younger talent in this Federation and both Williams and Vyle are great examples of that.
Okerlund: Our next contest however is full of seasoned grapplers as we get set for some Tag-Team action.
McGillicutty: Hailing from the land of the Dixie Flag, weighing in at combined weight of 557 lbs; the team of Dick Murdoch and the Junk Yard Dog; Deep South. "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch makes his way to the ring along with his partner JYD who has fun barking at the crowd. The duo's banjo theme is replaced by an annoying buzzing as The Killer Bees appear on stage.
McGillicutty: And their challengers weighing in at a combined weight of 456 lbs.; the team of B. Brian Blair and Jim Brunzell; The Killer Bees.
Tag-Team Match: Deep South vs. The Killer Bees
Dick Murdoch has his finger in his ear, ringing it as referee Matt Hyson begins the match. Grabbing Murdoch at the offset B. Brian Blair Irish whips the big man into the turnbuckle and chasing after him bodychecks him into it. Pissed now Murdoch grabs Blair's face and begins digging into his eyes. Before the ref has time to stop him Murdoch pushes Blair to the floor and delivers an elbow drop. Going for the cover he gets a one count. Lifting Blair up he begins delivering blows to his opponent who escapes via a drop toe hold. Scrambling to his corner he tags in Jim Brunzell who begins trading punches with an obviously fatigued Murdoch. Looking for an escape of his own now Dick moves in a hits a back body drop on Brunzell who is sent crashing into the mat. Junkyard Dog is tagged in and immediately starts beating on Brunzell in the corner; barking again for the crowd. This distraction however costs JYD as Jim counters smashing the big man's head into the turnbuckle. Getting some distance Brunzell comes running back with a dropkick which plants JYD onto the mat. Brunzell going for the cover gets a two count before Murdoch breaks things up with a kick to Brunzell's face. Regaining control of the match Junkyard begins hammering on the Killer Bee's back and neck before smashing him further with a facebuster to the knee. As Brunzell staggers back JYD scoops him up and slams him to the mat. And going for the cover he picks up the win.
Black Bart is already moving about the ring with referee Danny Davis when Eastern Championship wrestling returns. The Bill Conti Overture is heard as Jerry Lawler appears from the back hand raised.
McGillicutty: And introducing his opponent from Memphis, Tenessee weighing in at 245 lbs.; he is "The King" Jerry Lawler.
Okerlund: Just to remind the folks at home this is our second qualifying match of the night for our upcoming tournament for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Tickets go on sale later this week for the quarter-finals of that event which will be held at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut one week from tonight. Be sure to buy your tickets early. Now here's someone I'd love to see win it Lanny. A man of real intergrity.
Poffo: Why thank you Gene for the compliment. But The Genius is not in this tournament.
Match: Black Bart vs. Jerry Lawler
Black Bart gets first blood as he delivers the first punch of the match to Jerry Lawler's head. The King quickly recovers however by delivering several chops to his opponent. The duo trade shots back and forth until Bart gains some momentum with a viscious head butt. After pounding on the dazed Lawler for a bit Bart hits a sidewalk slam; followed by a knee drop on his fallen foe. When he goes for a second helping however Black Bart is interrupted when the video screen suddenly starts up with stripper music playing.
On the video screen is a naked foot that travels up a leg; finally settling on The Ravishing Rick Rude who is lying in a robe on a bed. He is holding an open red book and he is smiling. Black Bart is not.
Rude: Hello Bart. What I'd like to say right now to you; you fat, out of shape nobody is something about you. Now please. Put down the pork chop and listen. You may have been at this game since '75 and had some success with that Ron Ass guy; but let me tell you now. Here in ECW you're a nobody and that about sums up your life. Oh. And for the record; yeah Black Bart. This. This is your wife.
The camera pans over from Rick Rude to a semi-attractive middle-aged woman fauning over The Ravishing One. In the ring Black Bart grabs his thinning hair and screams in rage.
Rude: Now, now Bart. Keep your voice down while I take my robe off and show your wife what a real man is supposed to look like.
The video ends and Black Bart looks around furiously. Jerry Lawler just shrugs toward his opponent but it's obvious he thinks Rude's antics are funny. In a fit Bart charges at The King but Jerry sidesteps and the cowboy slams into the turnbuckles. Taking advantage of the situation as Black Bart staggers back; Lawler hits a belly to back suplex flattening Black Bart. Climbing to the top rope as Bart stirs Lawler lands the flying first drop on his fallen opponent and makes the pin.
Okerlund: I can't believe what we've just witnessed here. There's going to be severe consequences that's for sure.
Poffo: When one messes with another's wife; one takes chances with one's own life. Okerlund: I can't believe I'm saying this; but well said.

Eric Bischoff swaggers to the ring and climbing through the second rope takes the microphone he is handed by Beulah McGillicutty.
Bischoff: Thank you Ms. McGillicutty. And thank you to all of Eastern Championship Wrestling's fans right here tonight in Hartford, Connecticut as well as those watching from home. It's you who make this all possible. As I'm sure you're all aware; tonight continues our Tournament to decide Eastern Championship Wrestling's first Heavyweight Champion. And to that end in this, our quarter-final round we have some amazing matches in store for you right here tonight. You will see the Macho Man Randy Savage against The Japanese Buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri, The King Jerry Lawler do battle with The U.K. Kidd Douglas Williams, Ravishing Rick Rude take on The Long Island Loud-Mouth Chris Jericho; and because I'm sure you're all tired of hearing me talk already; tonight we'll be starting things off with the first quarter-final match in our tournament as The Killer Bee B. Brian Blair takes on The Big Red Machine The Blitzkrieg.
Ich tu der weh by Rammstein plays as Baron Von Raschke appears on stage followed by The Blitzkrieg.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling live from the Hartford Civic Center right here in Hartford Connecticut. With you tonight I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and this is my broadcasting partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Thank you for getting it correct this time Gene. I think in time you may be considered smart. Not a Genius mind you; but perhaps have an IQ higher than 86.
Okerlund: This is going to be a long night.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring weighing in at 323 lbs.; from the Republic of Germany; Mangler's Monster The Blitzkrieg.
Raschke enters the ring and snatches the microphone from Bealuh. She looks like she is about to say something; but when The Blitzkrieg enters the ring she gives him a terrified look and leaves the ring.Raschke: Wise choice Fraulein. My charge The Red Machine makes no distinction between man, woman, child; animal. They're all just meat. Fragile bone, paltry flesh for him to play with. Mangle. Destroy. Anything that lies before him he annihilates. Renders moot. Tonight he faces a bee. An insect. And what do bees do when they attack? They die. Which is all The Blitzkrieg's oppenent has to look forward to tonight.
Buzzing is heard as B. Brian Blair appears at the entrance ramp and makes his way down to the ring. Referee Teddy Long meanwhile gets a reluctant Baron Von Raschke to leave the ring.
Poffo: Mr. Moustache here couldn't have been more than a B student in school Gene. Getting in the ring with this creature just doesn't strike me as smart.
Okerlund: For once we agree. The Blitzkrieg's challenger tonight hailing from Dary, Indiana is one half of the tag-team The Killer Bees; B. Brian Blair. I don't think Raschke gave Beulah her mic back.
Poffo: And she wisely doesn't seem to be looking for it Gene. As Nietzsche said; If you look long enough into the void; the void begins to look back through you. And that's what this Blitzkrieg fellow seems to me. A void. He's scary Gene.Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. B. Brian Blair The bell hasn't rung and B. Brian Blair hasn't had time to remove his jacket before The Blitzkrieg is on him with a hard right. As the bell sounds Blair is already is in the air and chokeslammed to the mat. The Blitzkrieg isn't finished however as he begins kicking The Killer Bee while he is down as the man grabs onto the monster's leg in desparation. In a flash his tag-team partner Jim Brunzell is at ringside and climbing the turnbuckle from the outside. Reaching the top he leaps upon the big man with a diving double ax handle. He is however caught in mid-air and chokeslammed to the ground. From the outside Raschke screams for his charge to make the pin on Blair who is still writhing in pain on the ground. Mercilessly he stomps on his opponent's chest and holds him down with his foot as Long mercifully counts to three for the pin. Blitzkrieg however isn't done yet as he picks up Blair by his neck while Raschke enters the ring goose stepping toward them. While Blair struggles for freedom Raschke gleefully applies the Brainclaw on the helpless grappler.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen; and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. For those of you just tuning in we just witnessed the first match in our tournament semi-finals. And it was brutal.
Poffo: Indeed Blair's fate was pretty raw as he fell victim to the Baron's dreaded claw.
Okerlund: Again with the bad poetry.
Poffo: Not bad, ...
Okerlund: Yes, yes I know. Genius. There's no denying however that B. Brian Blair was just brutally eliminated from the Eastern Heavyweight Championship tournament. The Blitzkrieg and his manager Baron Von Raschke moving on to the Quarter-Finals on next weeks show which will be held at the New Haven Veteran's Memorial Coliseum right here in Conneticut one week from today. Tickets on sale now.
Poffo: You're such a shill.
Debonaire by Dope plays as Rhino and Blue Demon Jr. make their way to the ring.
McGillicutty: Making their way to the ring at the combined weight of 456 lbs.; the team of Blue Demon Jr. and Rhino.
Okerlund: Now this is certainly an odd team.
Poffo: Indeed. It seems like the Blue Demon Jr. has taken the kid under his wing after our first night during which they both saw action.
Okerlund: At 19 years of age Rhino is the youngest member on our roster.
Poffo: He's a big kid.
Okerlund: You're not kidding. He weighs in at 262 lbs.
As Rhino and Blue Demon Jr. pose in the ring the camera cuts backstage where Dick Murdoch is busy watching the duo on a television while the Junk Yard Dog laces up his boots.Murdoch: Look at this here idiot wearing this dumb ass mask. What is it you think he's got to hide?
JYD: He's one of them luchadores.
Murdoch: You just say he robbed a store? Typical.
JYD: I said maybe he's just got one of them ugly faces like yours. Murdoch gets up and looks in his locke,r pulling out some clothes.
Murdoch: Hey JY; which of these shirts you think I oughtta wear to the ring?
JYD: I dunno. The cotton one I suppose.
Murdoch: Hehe.
JYD: Hey what you laughin' bout Murdoch? Why I oughtta...
"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays as The Junk Yard Dog and Dick Murdoch emerge from the back; JYD barking at the crowd and Murdoch tipping his cowboy hat.
McGillicutty: And their challenger weighing in at a combined weight of 557 lbs.; they are the team or Junk Yard Dog and Dick Murdoch; Deep South.
Poffo: Speaking of odd tandems.
Okerlund: This odd couple's friendship goes back to the early eighties where they wrestlted for Mid-South Wrestling.
Poffo: I knew that.
Okerlund: Of course you did. You're a genius.Tag-Team Match: Deep South vs. Blue Demon Jr. & Rhino Dick Murdoch removes his Confederate flag t-shirt as referee Matt Hyson starts the match. Rhino and Murdoch pace about looking for an opening before locking up. Rhino draws first blood as he swings around his opponent delivering a suplex; using his youth and speed against the aging grappler. As Murdoch staggers to his feet the Junk Yard Dog enters the ring illegally and hammers Rhino from behind; opening him up for his partner who begins delivering chops as Hyson admonishes JYD. Whipping Rhino to the corner Murdoch charges into his younger opponent delivering a vicious elbow to the face. Grabbing hold of Rhino again Dick tosses the kid into his own corner and tags in JYD. Together the two men kick Rhino down to the mat before Hyson forces Murdoch out of the ring. Distracted as he watches Murdoch ejected; Rhino surprises JYD as he lifts him into the air; squeezing him with a bear hug. Battling out with a head butt; Junk Yard Dog turns about just in time to be scoop slammed by Rhino who goes for the pin getting the two count before the old veteran kicks out. The two trade blows for a while before JYD over powers him and lifts him into the air; body slamming Rhino into the mat. He repeats this twice more and it's obvious the young competitor is in pain as the Dog goes for the cover and nearly gets a three count. Going for the cover again he only gets a one before Rhino powers out and rushes to his corner where he tags Blue Demon Jr. in. Charging his oppoenent the Demon catches JYD offguard with a huracanrana and goes for the pin getting the two count. As JYD gets to his feet Blue Demon goes for a facelock causing Junk Yard to howl in pain. Finally he manages to flip his opponent off of him and dazed finds his corner and tags in Murdoch. Finding Demon Jr. still on the floor Dick capitalizes on his adavantage and begins kicking the Demon until the smaller man pulls him down to the mat where they fight for leverage until Murdoch rakes his opponent's eyes. Waiting for him to gain his footing; Murdoch delivers an atomic elbow to Demon who is still partially blinded. Whipping him into the turnbuckle; Murdoch lifts the Demon onto the turnbuckle and delivers a Frankensteiner as Rhino enters the ring to help his comrade. JYD however heads Rhino off and holds him back as Murdoch scrambles for the pin and wins the match.Rock America by Danger Danger is winding down as Eastern Championship Wrestling returns. Chris Jericho stalks about the ring exchanging a few words with Beulah McGillicutty.
Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans. As you're joining us we're about to get our second tournament match underway in the semi-finals of our tournament for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship. In the ring already from Manhasset, New York; weighing in just shy of 210 lbs.; is the appropriately billed Long Island Loud-Mouth Chris Jericho.
Poffo: I wouldn't call him a Loud-Mouth; just opinionated.
Okerlund: I could think of a few other names for him.
Poffo: Having strong opinions is the sign of a high I.Q. Gene. Something I don't expect you to understand.
Okerlund: Well he certainly doesn't seem loud today. Perhaps he realizes he's bitten off more than he can chew in the ring today.
Poffo: It's likely for the simple-minded to jeer; but this kid's going to have one hell of a career.
The music changes to Rick Rude's strip theme as The Ravhishing One makes his way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: And his challenger weighing in at 251 lbs; from Robbinsdale, Minnesota; he is The Ravishing One, Rick Rude.
Jericho looks leery and hesitantly moves outside the ring as his opponent enters; keeping an eye on Rude from the ropes as he gives the ladies a show. As referee Danny Davis takes Rick's robe the match begins.Match: Chris Jericho vs. Rick Rude Chris Jericho is still on the outside of the ring holding the ropes as Ravishing Rick Rude taunts him to enter. As agile as a cat; the Long Island Loud-Mouth leaps onto the top rope before hitting a surprised Rude with a missile drop-kick. Getting to his feet Jericho looks to keep the momentum by hitting a springboard moonsault; but Rick counters by throwing up his knees; taking the wind out of his younger opponent. Lifting Jericho to his feet, Rude whips him into the corner and hits Jericho with a flying knee. Dragging Jericho to the center of the ring Rude hits Chris with a facebuster on his knee and attempts to put him away; getting a two count from Davis before Jericho kicks out. Regaining his footing; Jericho begins trading blows with Rude; but is clearly on the losing end until in desperation Chris grabs Rude mid-punch and takes him down with an armdrag; which he turns into a armbar. Rude grits his teeth in pain as he struggles out of the hold and rolls out of the ring. This gives Jericho some breathing room; and taking the offensive again he leaps over the top rope and onto a still recovering Rude. Getting to his feet first Jericho violently smashes his opponent's head into the metal guard rail as the ref yells for them to get back into the ring which Jericho does after rolling Rick back in. Going for the cover Jericho gets a one count before Rude powers out and grabbing hold of Chris puts him in a headlock; attempting to squeeze the life out of him. Struggling back to his feet Jericho attempts to battle out and finally succeeds with an elbow to the gut of The Ravishing One who falls to one knee as his opponent begins hammering on his head. Both men are distracted however when a bullwhip is heard and from the back Black Bart appears with another similarly dressed man.
Okerlund: Is that the Outlaw Ron Bass?
Poffo: He's not on the payroll. What's he doing here? Wide-eyed; the crafty veteran Rude delivers a low blow to Jericho while everyone is distracted including referee Hyson; and rolls the Loud-Mouth up into a small package as Bart and Bass run down to ringside. The second Rude hears the three count he is up and out of the ring; escaping through the crowd as the two cowboys give pursuit; leaving an angry Jericho in the ring.
Okerlund: You could certainly say Rude stole that one.
Poffo: You could but it wouldn't be true. Rick Rude saw an opportunity and he took it. It was clever. And that's what you have to be to be Champion. I wouldn't be surprised to see The Ravishing One walk away with the Title in two weeks. Hot Stuff by Donna Summers plays as Debbie Combs comes down the entrance ramp.
McGillicutty: The following match scheduled for one fall; from Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Debbie Combs.
Okerlund: Her theme song says it all; this one's certainly a looker.
Poffo: It's a good thing too. She has a brain the size of a field mouse.
Okerlund: That's uncalled for.
Poffo: It's a fact. She did date Randy Savage for five years after all. Ooh yeah. Hot Stuff is replaced by Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard as Tiffany appears on stage.
Okerlund: I wouldn't say that too loud if I were you.
Poffo: Gene. I just said it on national TV.
McGillicutty: And her challenger from Monterry, Nuevo Leon; Tiffany.
Poffo: Yeah I'd hit that.
Okerlund: Hit what?
Poffo: Just a phrase Gene. Don't worry. Give it some time. All the kids'll be saying it.
Okerlund: Whatever.Women's Match: Debbie Combs vs. Tiffany The bell rings as the two grappler's lock up. Debbie Combs gets the early lead as she takes down Tiffany with an armdrag. Hopping back up however; Tiffany takes Debbie down to the mat with a super kick. When she attempts to kick Debbie in the skull as she rises from the ground however; Combs catches Tiffany and both plummet back to the ground trading punches. Both women get back to their feet at the same time where they grapple for advantage before Tiffany grabs hold of Debbie's hair and uses it to throw her down again. Running into the ropes Tiffany comes back and lands a flying dropkick to Combs as she recovers; knocking her through the middle rope and out of the ring. Using her time on the outside to get a second wind; Debbie reenters and moves out of the way of a baseball slide from Tiffany; countering with a kick of her own to her opponent's face. Once back inside Combs seemingly has a counter for each of Tiffany's moves; taking the younger woman down with multiple arm drags; frustrating her. Seeing her opening Combs hits the Lou Thesz press and begins wailing on Tiffany whom she covers in the same position to get the pin.The Bill Conti Overture is heard as Jerry the King Lawler makes his way to the ring hand raised with his crown in hand.
McGillicutty: Entering the ring at this time from Memphis, Tenessee weighing in at 243 lbs.; Jerry the King Lawler.
Okerlund: Hello fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. You're now joining us for our third match in the semi-finals for the vacant Eastern Championship Wrestling. It's hard to pick a favorite in this one Lanny. Lawler has all the experience in the world and my admiration; but this Williams kid is one hell of an athlete.
Poffo: Indeed Genre. Since debuting last year in Britain's Frontier Wrestling Alliance this kid has been making waves. We're lucky to have him.
Doug Williams appears on the entrance ramp as God Save the Queen by the Sex Pistols starts.
McGillicutty: And his challenger weighing in at 235 lbs. from Manchester, England he is the U.K. Kidd Douglas Williams.Match: Jerry Lawler vs. Doug Williams Jerry the King Lawler accepts a handshake from Doug Williams as referee Teddy Long starts the match. The two competitors immediately begin trading blows with Lawler getting the better of Williams. Recovering, Williams whips Jerry into the corner and hits him with a drop kick into the turnbuckles. Climbing the turnbuckles he hits a tornado DDT on Lawler and goes for the cover getting a one count. Rising to his knee Lawler begins trading punches with Doug who continues his attack until The King hits him with a facebuster to his knee planting the U.K. Kidd to the mat getting Lawler a two count. The two square off sizing each other up before trading a few blows; Jerry ending it with a sidewalk slam on Williams. The rookie plays possum as Lawler moves in for the cover and sends Jerry face first into the ring with a drop toe hold. Moving onto him Williams grabs Lawler's head between his legs and hits him with multiple push up facebusters. Moving in for the pin he gets a two count on Lawler who surprises him with an uppercut after kicking out. Needing time to recover Jerry traps the Kidd in a hammerlock which he tries to fight out of in vein. Finally grabbing Lawler's arms he somersaults, rolling Jerry up in the process for a two count. Quickly back on his feet The King nails Williams with multiple punches before sending him flailing with a hard headbutt. Before Douglas has time to recover Lawler has hit him with a belly to back suplex and picks up the win.
Okerlund: And there you have it. Experience has won out over youth and speed in this contest. Lawler moving on to the semi-fanl round of our tournament.
Poffo: As the fans witnessed tonight in this ring; sometimes it's good to be the King.
Okerlund: Like in the Mel Brooks film.
Poffo: No. Thinking more along the lines of MacBeth.McGillicutty: The following match scheduled for one fall making his way to the ring from Tokyo, Japan weighing 190 lbs. Taka Michinoku.
The Kaientai theme plays as Michinoku appears on the entrance ramp with his manager Mr. Fuji whom he signals not to accompany him. Fuji reluctantly heads to the back.
Okerlund: Uh oh. Looks like there may already be trouble in paradise for the newly formed New Orient Express.
Rock You Like A Hurricane by The Scorpions rocks the arena as Buck Zumhoff appears with his boom box in hand.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Hamburg, Minnesota; weighing in at 220 lbs. he is Rock 'N Roll Buck Zumhoff.
Poffo: Well Michinoku has wrestled all over the world. He probably doesn't think he needs help at ringside. Especially against a nobody like Buck Zumhoff. We'll see if his cockyness lands him in trouble.
Okerlund: And it may very well do just that. If there's one thing I've learned in all my years knowing Fuji; it's that it's best not to displease the devious one. And Zumhoff is a skilled competitor. He put on one hell of a match against that punk Jericho last week. I think he could've jst as easily won it.
Poffo: Well you know what they say about opinions Gene. Everyone's got one; yours just happens to be wrong.Match: Taka Michinoku vs. Buck Zumhoff As the bell sounds and the two grapplers go to lock up; Taka Michinoku nails Buck Zumhoff with a bicycle kick. He quickly follows the up with a diving drop kick to the shins; taking Zumhoff off his feet. Continuing the assault hits Buck with a sprongboard corkscrew off the ropes. Going for the pin he gets a two count. Lifting Rock 'N Roll to his feet Taka hits him with a chop across the face, sending him into the ropes with another across the chest before Irish whipping his opponent across the ring. On the way back however Zumhoff retaliates with a should block knocking Michinoku to the mat. He follows this up with an elbow drop but when he tries to get back to his feet Taka surprises him with a roll-up getting a one count before Zumhoff powers out. As the two men regain their footing Buck slaps Michinoku across the ring driving him into the corner where he rams his challenger's head into the ring. Lifting Taka into the air Zumhoff power bombs him to the mat and goes for the cover and gets a two count from Hyson. Going to lift Michinoku again Zumhoff finds himself locked in a headscissors choke. Staying on his feet however Buck begins spinging Taka around the ring; tossing him off of him. As Taka regains his footing Zumhoff is waiting and lands a German Suplex. Going for the pin Zumhoff gets the win.
Okerlund: I knew he could do it. A big win for Rock 'N Roll Buck Zumhoff.
Poffo: Any win's a big win for Buck Zumhoff.
Okerlund: We're now going to commercial; but stay tuned Wrestling Fans as we return for tonight's Main Event.Okerlund: Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling right here on our home channel of TNN Wednesday night. For those tuning in late we're about to begin our last match of the evening; which will determine the last entrant in the quarter-finals of our tournament for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship. This is a match-up I'm sure my partner Lanny Poffo has no interest in.
Poffo: None.
Okerlund: As The Macho Man Randy Savage takes on The Japanese Buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri.
Pomp and Circumstance plays as the Macho Man Randy Savage descends to the ring.
McGillicutty: Entering the the ring at 237 lbs.; hailing from Sarasota, Florida he is The Macho Man Randy Savage.
The Kaientai Theme is heard again as The Japanese Buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri stalks his way down the ring followed by his manager Mr. Fuji.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Tokyo, Japan weighing in at 180 lbs. and being accompanied by Mr. Fuji; he is one-half of The New Orient Express; The Japanese Buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri.Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri As the bells sounds Randy Savage begins wailing on Yoshihiro Tajiri. The momentum quickly changes when whipped into the ropes, Tajiri comes back leaps onto Savage's shoulders; hitting a flip-over DDT. Randy doesn't stay down for long and gets back just in time to be on the receiving end of several vicious kicks from The Japanese Buzzsaw who takes Savage down to his knees before hitting him with the Shining Wizard, laying The Macho Man out cold. Going for the cover he only gets the two count however when Randy limply gets his foot on the bottom rope. Danny Davis breaks them up and Savage slowly regains his footing; wiping blood from his chin. Tajiri is back on the offense with kick after kick to his opponent's abdomen until Randy catches him with a leg drag. Still holding Yoshihiro's leg he hits him with a knee drop to the thigh before kicking him in the back. Picking Tajiri up he holds him in a hammerlock until the struggling Buzzsaw is able to connect with a kick to Macho Man's head causing him to stagger back as Tajiri takes him down to the mat with a leg sweep. Moving on top of him Tajiri gets a one count. As Savage gets back on his feet the two men begins trading chops; Tajiri driving Savage back to the ropes where he leaps on him and locks in the Tarantula while Davis admonishes him. Savage growls in pain as his opponent holds him on the ropes until a near five count. As Randy collapses onto all fours; Tajiri leaps on him and begins riding Savage like a horse while he hangs on choking him out. Getting to his feet Savage drops onto his back squashing Tajiri. Bridging with his legs he gets a two count. Grabbing Tajiri, to get some distance, the Macho Man whips him into the corner and charges with a flying knee to the smaller man's chest. Keeping his edge Randy hits a vertical suplex on The Buzzsaw and goes for the cover getting a two count before Tajiri kicks out. Lifting Tajiri Savage hits a face breaker on his knee scoring another two count. When he lifts Tajiri again however Savage howls in pain as his opponent sprays Asian Mist in his face while his manager Mr. Fuji dutifully distracts the ref. Grabbing Savage behind Tajiri hits a bridging German suplex which gets him a near three count from Davis. As he rises again Randy catches a boot to the face before catching Tajiri's leg with his second kick. Leaping up he hits Tajiri with a lariat takedown sending them both to the mat. This time Savage is up first and picking up Tajiri slams his head into the turnbuckle before whipping him into the opposite corner. On his way back Yoshihiro goes for the handspring back elbow but is caught in mid-air by Savage who puts him in the pildriver which connects. Dropping to his knees and covering The Buzzsaw, Savage gets the victory.
Lights Fade.

12/22/93 - New Haven Veteran's Memorial Coliseum New Haven, CTOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to December 22nd's edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling. I'm Gene Okerlund; and this is my broadcast partner The Genius Lanny Poffo. Tonight we bring you the Semi-Final matches in our Eastern Heavyweight Championship Tournament. In round one Mangler's Monster The Blitzkrieg will take on Ravishing Rick Rude; and for this evening's Main Event Jerry The King Lawler will do battle with The Macho Man Randy Savage in the second and last match of our semi-final round. What a night.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. Although a betting man would know Baron Von Raschke's charge The Blitzkrieg will be walking away with the Title when all is said and done. That thing isn't even human.
Okerlund: Well The Killer Bees would certainly have to agree with you there.
Poffo: Floated like a butterfly; swatted like a fly. White Train by Tito & Tarantula sounds in the arena as Eric Bischofff appears on stage.
McGillicutty: Hello ladies and gentleman; we'd like to welcome at this time from Detroit, Michigan; Eastern Championship's President Eric Bischoff.
Bischoff: Alright, alright. I love you guys too. Thank you for coming out tonight to The New Haven Arena to join us for the Semi-Finals of our Tournament for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. As you may have heard tonight Rick Rude will have his hands full as he takes on The Baron's Monster The Blitzkrieg. He may not be looking to good after that one eh? And in our Main Event we'll see The Macho Man Randy Savage in action against the Memphis Legend Jerry The King Lawler. What a Main Event. But don't worry that's not all. We're not gonna leave you hanging. Here at ECW we believe in wrestling first and bullshit talk second; so you're in for one hell of a card tonight. In fact you're going to see. Well; I'm not gonna tell you everything. A wise man by the name of Eric Bischoff once said it's better to show than tell; so I'll just leave you to it. Luna Vachon's Theme music plays as she makes her way down the ramp with her manager Lady Alexandra.
Luna: Bischoff. I want a word with you.
Bischoff: Certainly Ms. Vachon.
Luna: Don't you Ms. Vachon me. I'm sick of you. Sick of this place. Sick of hearing about the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Eastern Heavyweight Championship this. Eastern Heavyweight Championship that. Let me tell you Bischoff. Luna Vachon could win that Title. She could tear Rude, Savage, that yokel Lawler limb from limb. But all I hear is Luna, Luna you can't compete for the Eastern-
Alexandra: I was only trying to say-
Luna: Shut yer trap when Luna's talking or I'll break yer pretty jaw. Hear me Bischoff.
Luna wants a Title. And a Title she wants now. So what're you gonna do about that Bischoff?
Bischoff: Well Luna; first off calm down. Personally I think an Eastern Women's Championship is a great idea. In fact let's make it happen right here tonight in a 10-Woman Battle Royal. You know how a Battle Royal works right Luna?
Luna: Don't talk down to Luna yout twit. Luna knows damned well how a Battle Royal works. In fact; let me show ya.
With that Luna Vachon clocks a stunned Eric Bischoff on the head with her mic and before he can react Irish whips him into the ropes. Following her prey; Luna clotheslines Eric out of the ring. Showing off in the ring she comes back to her manager Lady Alexandra.
Luna: See that sugar. I told you what Luna wants; Luna gits.As Eastern Championship Wrestling returns referee Matt Hyson has his hands full in the ring with nine of the the contestants of the 10-Woman Battle Royal. Lady Alexandra is at ringside.
McGillicutty: The following match is a 10-Woman Battle Royal. An opponent is considered eliminated by being thrown over the top rope and having both feet touch the floor. The winner of this match is the last Woman remaining in the ring. At this time I'd like to introduce the last competitor in this match; weighing in at a lean 110 lbs. from Yonkers, New York; she is me; Beulah McGillicutty.
Okerlund: Wait. What's this? Ms. McGillicutty is in this match? Poffo: Well she is trained as a wrestler Gene. I like this girl. She's got spunk and apparently wants a shot at Championship Gold.10 Women Battle Royal for the Women's Championship: Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore vs. La Diabolica vs. Tiffany vs. Leilani Kai vs. Velvet McIntyre vs. Noriyo Tateno vs. Luna Vachon vs. Debbie Combs vs. Itsuki Yamazaki vs. Beulah McGillicutty As the match begins it's obvious the other competitors are keeping their distance from Luna Vachon who finally grabs ahold and begins beating upon Velvet McIntyre. Meanwhile the Jumping Bomb Angels do battle with the masked La Diabolica while Debbie Combs beats on Leilani Kai, Tiffany assaults Beulah McGillicutty and Jacqueline Moore looks for an opening to get in on the action. Whipping McGillicutty; Tiffany tosses her opponent onto the ropes with a hurancanrana before moving in for the kill. Holding onto the top rope for dear life as Tiffany tries to force her out; Beulah is saved inadvertantly by Miss Texas who seeing an opening tries to toss them both out; but only succeeds in sending Tiffany out to the floor as McGillicutty lands on the edge of the ring and rolls back in only to be stomped upon by her savior Moore. Velvet McIntyre is next to have her hopes dashed after getting hit with a powerful DDT by Vachon who proceeds to toss her out of the ring. Moving right along Luna interrupts the ongoing brawl between Combs and Kai; battering both women. This backfires on the female powerhouse as her intended victims form an alliance and after Combs takes down Vachon with a drop toe hold; both she and Kai wait for Vachon to rise from the second rope where they eliminate her with a double clothesline. Taking a tumble Vachon is pissed and takes it out on her manager The Lady Alexandra; berating her while pointing to the ring before dragging her backstage by her neck as Alexandra stumbles along. Meanwhile back in the ring Kai and Combs' partnership comes to an end as Debbie dropkicks Leilani Kai from the ring. Itsuki Yamazaki soon joins her as she is powerbombed from the ring by the vicious La Diabolica. Itsuki has a surprise in store for her opponent however as while on her way out she hooks her legs around the masked mistress taking her down to the floor with her. The two grapplers continue their fight on the outside. Left on her own the other half of the Jumping Bomb Angels Noriyo Tateno greets Debbie Combs with a bicyle kick while on the other side of the ring Jacqueline nearly has Beulah eliminated. Noriyo lands several kicks on Combs before she catches her opponent in a hammerlock which she transitions into a neckbreaker. While Tateno is still stunned Debbie picks her up and with some trouble pushes her over the top rope eliminating her. Alone now Debbie moves on to Jacqueline as her next biggest threat and attacks her from behind. Jacqueline isn't going down without a fight however and begins trading punches with Combs clearly getting the better of the blone bombshell. Whipping Debbie across the ring; on her way back Moore suplexes her stunned opponent out of the ring sending her crashing to the floor. It is an ugly landing. Beulah meanwhile has returned to the ring and seeing an opening attempts to attack Jackie from behind; but stops short when Jackie whips around toward her. Smiling at McGillicutty Jacqueline waves for her to bring it. Beulah does and receives a fist in the face dropping her. Jacquline picks up the smaller woman and attempts to toss her from the ring; only to have her counter with an arm drag taking Jackie down to the floor. Springing herself off the ropes McGillicutty hits Jackie with a drop kick while she is still down on the floor before dragging her closer to the center of the ring. Climbing the turnbuckle Beulah hits Miss Texas with a moonsault; her opponent writhing in pain. Regaining her footing a bit shaky at first Jackie plays possum waiting for McGillicutty to attack and hits her with a Tornado DDT laying Beulah out flat. Throwing the unconscious girl over her shoulders in a fireman carry Jackie walks towards the ropes and drops her out of the ring becoming Eastern Championship Wrestling's first Women's Champion in the process.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentleman to Eastern Championship Wrestling. For those of you just joining us; we just witnessed the crowning of our first Women's Champion via a 10-Woman Battle Royal. We'll hear from our new Champion Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore later in tonight's program.
Poffo: I had my heart set on Rockin' Robin.
Okerlund: She doesn't even work for this company Lanny.
Poffo: I know. But my heart's still set on her.
Okerlund: Very well. Our own Ms. Beulah McGillicutty has not returned yet after competing in the Battle Royal; so we'll be starting our next match.
Heavy metal music is heard as Matt Borne makes his way down the entrance ramp.
Okerlund: This match scheduled for one fall, making his way to the ring from Eldwood City, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 243 lbs. he is Maniac Matt Borne.
A familiar annoying buzzing is heard as Jim Brunzell appears on the ramp.
Poffo: And his challenger making his way to the ring from White Bear Lake, Minnesota weighing 234 lbs.; he is the Killer Bee without a moustache Jumping Jim Brunzell.Match: Matt Borne vs. Jim Brunzell As the two competitors move to lock up Maniac Matt Borne illegally pokes Jumping Jim Brunzell in the eyes before smashing his knee into his gut. Borne plays innocent while referee Danny Davis admonishes him; giving Brunzell time to recover. Running at Borne he takes him down with a shoulder block before falling on his prone opponent with an elbow to the chest. Getting to his knee Borne begins battling back trading blows with Brunzell before grabbing him and hitting a spine buster. He fails to put the Bee away however getting a two count. Lifting Jim to his feet Matt hits him with a German suplex pin which Brunzell kicks out of at two. Borne is furious and begins stomping on his stunned opponent who rolls out of the way and regaining his footing comes back with a dropkick laying The Maniac out. Going for the pin Brunzell gets a one count. Enraged Borne kicks Brunzell in the gut and tosses him outside the ring. Moving outside himself he harasses a fan until he gets their chair and moves over Brunzell smashing him in the back. Jim staggers as he is hit again with the chair; but when The Maniac moves in for his third strike The Killer Bee superkicks it back into his face knocking him up against the ring. Jumping on top of him Brunzell begins hitting his opponent before rolling him back into the ring where he goes for the cover getting a two count. As Brunzell tries to lift his opponent to his feet Borne lands a low blow on him before before rolling him up; using his tights for leverage. Davis sees this however and breaks them up. Back on their feet again the two men trade chops until Matt whips Jim into the ropes. On his way back Brunzell has a surprise as he hops over Borne and catches him in a sunset flip going for the pin and getting it. Before The Maniac has a chance to react Jim rolls out of the ring and is met by B. Brian Blair who joins him at ringside while Borne yells at them from inside the ring. The camera goes backstage into the dressing room where Rhino is readying himself for his upcoming match on a speed bag. When in walks his Tag-Team partner Blue Demon Jr. with his hand behind his back.
Demon: Hola mi gran Teddy novio. Yo vengo con un regalo. No ese suno el poco.
Rhino: What?
Demon: No jugar duro para conseguir mi mariposa.
Rhino: Dude. I don't fucking understand you.
Blue Demon Jr. pulls a present from behind his back.
Rhino: Oh. Shit. Yeah okay. A present. Um. Thanks.
Rhino opens the gift and looks at it for a while before laughing. It's a luchador mask shaped like a rhinocerous.
Rhino: Yo man. Thanks I guess. But I ain't wearing this fucking thing.
Demon: Dejenme ver usted su miel.
Rhino: No. Dude. I'll look like a fucking asshole. The two men are interrupted by the arrival of Mr. Fuji and The New Orient Express; Taka Michinoku and Yoshihiro Tajiri.
Tajiri: Oroka Amerikan Kasu.
Taka: Ichi nain Amerikan Tajiri.
Mr. Fuji: Shinkan! You. Stupid American. Should listen to your partner. Wear mask. Hide ugly face. Hahaha. Hide shame too after honorable Japanese destroy you both in ring. Crack your fat head open like fortune cookie. Only no knowledge inside. Hahaha.
Demon: Tendremos que ver usted dos quapo poco hombres en el anillo. Entonces veremos que termina en la espalda hot, sudorosos y depositado en el piso.
Rhino: Yeah! Whatever he just said. Fucking can't understand any of you motherfuckers. The Kaientai Theme is heard as The New Orient Express makes their way to the ring led by Mr. Fuji.
McGillicutty: Making their way to the ring at a combined weight of 370 lbs. from Tokyo, Japan they are Taka Michinoku and Yosjihiro Tajiri; The New Orient Express.
Okerlund: I can't say I agree with the kid's choice of words; but I have no idea what just went on before the commercial break.
Poffo: Because you're ignorant Gene. Read a book. Learn something.
Okerlund: So you're telling me you understood all of that?
Poffo: Of course I did. I am a Genius after all. Mr. Fuji simply wished his opponents well on their upcoming match and Blue Demon Jr. very courteously thanked him and offered the same. Of course being an American; Rhino had to go and be a jerk.
Okerlund: You're an American Lanny.
Poffo: True Genius transcends nationality Gene. Which you'd know if you weren't already a rube. As for Rhino; the only advice I have for him is that cursing is a sign of a low I.Q. and low character. Unfortunately that's what happens when you look up to people like Mean Gene here.
Debonaire by Dope plays as Blue Demon Jr. and Rhino appear in the arena.
McGillicutty: And now making their way to the ring weighing in at 456 lbs.; they are the team of Rhino and Blue Demon Jr.
Okerlund: Well I have a couple of choice words for you Poffo that's for sure.
Poffo: Probably none of them fit for broadcast.Tag-Team Match: The New Orient Express vs. Blue Demon Jr. & Rhino Yoshihiro Tajiri looks annoyed while referee Teddy Long inspects his mouth for the Asian Mist before starting the match coming up empty. Tajiri gets first blood early in the match with an elbow to the face of Blue Demon Jr. The two men trade chops until the Demon whips Tajiri into the ropes; hitting the smaller man with a spinning heel kick on his return. Hitting the ropes himself Blue Demon goes for a springboard moonsault only to catch a rib full of knees courtesy of the Japanese Buzzsaw. Writhing in pain on his knees Demon is soon hit by a volley of kicks as Tajiri goes to work; before shooting for the Shining Wizard; which he misses as his opponent ducks out of the way; Yoshihiro getting caught up in the ropes. Making the tag to Rhino; the young athlete waits for Tajiri to get clear of the ropes before hitting him with The Gore. Going for the cover he gets a two count before Tajiri kicks out hard. Making an effort on his knees to get to his corner Tajiri is caught by Rhino in a hammerlock which Tajiri is unable to get out of. Coming to his partner's aide Taka Michinoku leaps onto the top rope before hitting a flying crossbody on their opponent. Long forces Michinoku as the illegal man out of the ring; but Tajiri has already had enough time to recover and delivers a fist drop to the head of Rhino as he gets up from the mat. Covering him; Tajiri; Rhino kicks out at one. Moving to his corner Tajiri makes the tag to Taka who baseball slides into Rhino's face causing him to roll out of the ring. This infuriates Blue Demon Jr. who comes in and begins wailing on Michinoku. Coming to Taka's aide Tajiri lands a dropckik to the Demon's back; setting him up for a vicious Tornado DDT from Michinoku. While Teddy tries to bring some order to his ring getting Tajiri to roll out; Mr. Fuji goes unseen as he mounts the fallen Rhino and grinds salt into his eyes. Fuji rolls Rhino back into the ring as Blue Demon Jr. sluggishly leaves the ring and Yoshihiro is tagged back in. Picking up his screaming opponent he hits a brainbuster on Rhino and gets the 1-2-3 for the win. Relieved the match is over Teddy Long goes to raise The Buzzsaw's hand in victory only to receive a face full of Asian Mist. Staggering back in pain and terror; Teddy is sent out of the ring when Fuji pulls the top rope down with his cane; causing the ref to fall. In the ring the New Orient Express celebrate their victory.
Okerlund: That was utterly despicable. What a bunch of cheats.
Poffo: If Mr. Fuji were to hear you insult his honor like that he'd snap you like a chop stick Gene. Fuji and the Japanese in general have a great sense of honor and tradition. Cheating just isn't in their blood. The camera cuts to backstage where we is The Macho Man Randy Savage chatting with Debbie Combs when Black Bart and The Outlaw Ron Bass pass them by.
Savage: Heya you two. C'mere. Yeah. The two men double back and begin talking with Savage.Okerlund: Hell Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling live from the New Haven Veteran's Memorial Coliseum as we get set for the first of our Semi-Final rounds in the Tournament for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship; as Mangler's Monster The Blitzkrieg takes on Ravishing Rick Rude. Before our break we witnessed the Macho Man Randy Savage in a private conversation with Outlaw Ron Bass and Black Bart. I wonder what that could mean for tonight's Main Event.
Poffo: It doesn't take a Genius to figure this one out Gene. But it will apparently take one to explain just what this means to you tonight. Black Bart and Rick Rude have been at each other's throats over the past few weeks. First Bart attacked Rude after their qualifying match, then Rude sleeping with Bart's wife; followed by last weeks run-in interference by both Bart and Bass which could've easily led to Rude losing his quarter-final match against The Long Island Loud-Mouth Chris Jericho. I'll tell you what it means Gene. It means trouble for our competitors in our Semi-Final match that's about to get under way; and more than likely big trouble for one Ravishing Rick Rude.
Okerlund: You could certainly be right there Poffo.
Poffo: I am right. Cause as you know I'm a-
Okerlund: Yes, yes. You're a Genius.
Poffo: Well you said it.
Ich tu der weh by Rammstein sounds as The Blitzkrieg storms the arena led by Baron Von Raschke.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring at this time led by Baron Von Rachke; weighing in at 323 lbs. from the Republic of Germany; he is The Big Red Monster; The Blitzkrieg.
Rick Rude's strip theme plays as he makes his way to the ring.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Robbinsdale, Minnesota weighing 251 lbs. he's The Ravishing One; Rick Rude.
Rick Rude stops at ringside; sizing up his opponent.Raschke: Ravishing. Reek. Rude. Why dost though waste the time of all the good people here? Why dost thou put himself in harm's way? Don't you know? Haven't you realized? This man. This Monster. The Blitzkrieg was designed in the bowels of the German Republic for one thing. To destroy the human body. Pretty boy Reek Rude. Save yourself. The Blitzkrieg will destroy your pretty face. Beat. Mash your ravishing body to so much pulp. A ladies man no more!!Rude: Now listen here Raschke. I don't know what you're getting at; but Rick Rude didn't spend all his days training in the gym just to look good. No Raschke you see I've trained hard to be at the pinnacle of pique physical perfection. And when I look at the two of you I don't see no Monster. I don't see no resurgance of the Third Reich. All I see Raschke. All I see is an old man and a chump who forgot what day Halloween was. And here's a news flash for you Raschke. Germany fell to an American. And so will your boy there.Semi-Final Tournament Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Ravishing Rick Rude Ravishing Rick Rude slides into the ring as the bell sounds. He begins trading blows with The Blitzkrieg; but the huge monster is clearly getting the better of him and lifting him by his head slams Rick into the corner wear he continues to rain blows down upon him. Grabbing the ropes and using them for leverage Rude leaps up kneeing the big man in the face. Climbing the turnbuckles he comes down hitting The Bltizkrieg with a double axe-handled; making him stagger a little. The Monster however is barely phased and grabs Rude by the throat intending to choke slam him; but Rude connects with a low blow kicking his opponent in the crotch. Luckily referee Hyson doesn't see it and Rude is dropped to the floor. Blitzkrieg is still on his feet however and reaches for Rick as he crawls through the monster's legs and runs to the opposite side of the ring to get some distance. He readies himself on the opposing side of the ring as The Blitzkrieg plods after him when suddenly there's a disturbance in the audience. The Ravishing One turns just in time as a lasso launches over his head and tightens about his neck. It is The Outlaw Ron Bass who begins choking him out against the ropes almost hanging Rude as Black Bart slides into the ring and begins hitting him with chop after chop while screaming in Rude's face that's turning purple from the srangulation. Referee Matt Hyson sounds for the bell disqualifying The Blitzkrieg for outside interference as he tries to help Rude. Meanwhile The Blitzkrieg has made it across the ring and grabs Black Bart spinning him around. Bart looks like he just about shit himself as The Monster grabs him and hoists him into the air and hurls him out of the ring and into some empty chairs. Seeing this; Ron Bass looks to make his escape and lets go of the rope; only to turn into The Baron's dreaded Brainclaw. Bass screams in terror as the move connects. Inside the ring Rude drops to the ring looking lifeless but this doesn't stop The Blitzkrieg who goes berserk stomping and kicking the winner of the match. Referee Matt Hyson tries to stop the attack and when he cannot throws himself down over the defenseless Rude; using his body as a shield. Still the assault continues as Hyson now takes the brunt of Blitzkrieg's assault.
Okerlund: Someone's gotta stop this. Wait a minute. Lanny; where're you going?
The Genius Lanny Poffo hops over the announcer table and pulls first Hyson and then Rude out of the ring as Eric Bischoff, Teddy Long, Danny Davis, Arn Anderson; and the The Killer Bees rush down the ramp to help. Bischoff yells at Raschke while pointing to his monster while the refs carry off Matt Hyson to the back and the Killer Bees do the same with Rude. Arn Anderson and Lanny Poffo meanwhile stand between the Monster and the entrance ramp; careful not to get too close to The Monster. Climbing back into the ring; Raschke attempts to talk his charge down and get him out of the ring. Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentleman. I'd like to apologize for the scene just witnessed. For those at home just tuning in; the first of our Semi-Final rounds turned bloody when the monster known as The Blitzkrieg went nuts after being disqualified due to the actions ofr Black Bart and his accomplice The Outlaw Ron Bass. The real victims in this affair however were Ravishing Rick Rude and referee Matt Hyson; both of whom took brutal beatens at the hands of the enraged monster. We've been asked by TNN not to replay this footage and honestly I think you're better for it. My broadcast partner The Genius Lanny Poffo has accompanied both men backstage and will give us an update later on tonight. At this time I'd like to introduce you to Eastern Championship Wrestling's first Women's Champion; Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore. Welcome Jacqueline.Jackie: Thank you Gene. You can call me Jackie though.
Okerlund: So how does it feel to be the first ever Women's Champion here at Eastern Championship Wrestling?
Jackie: Great Gene. It's a real honor to be here. Everyone backstage has been very supportive and courteous and the competition is really stiff. Which is a great atmosphere to be in. Every single match here will be a challenge. Which at the end of the day will make me a better wrestler and a better Champion.
Okerlund: Well we're scheduled to get the next match under way; but thank you for joining us Jackie. Look forward to seeing your first title defense here at ECW.
Jackie: Thanks Gene.
A familiar buzzing noise is heard for the second time this evening.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall; on his way to the ring weighing in at 222 lbs. from Tampa, Florida; he is one half of The Killer Bees; B. Brian Blair. Paradise City by Guns N Roses fills the arena as Scott Taylor enters the ring.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Westbrook, Maine weighing 209 lbs.; Superstar Scott Taylor.Match: B. Brian Blair vs. Scott Taylor B. Brian Blair locks up with Scott Taylor as the bell rings. Taylor gets the early advantage using his speed to circle about Blair and hit a belly to black suplex. Going up top Scott tries for the diving leg drop; but is caught mid-air by Blair who counters with a scoop slam. Going for the pin he gets a two count. Lifting Taylor to his feet Blair whips him into the corner but regrets it as The Superstar leaps onto the second turnbuckle and comes back at him with a flying crossbody; landing it and getting a one count on Blair from referee Davis. Both men now back on their feet they trade a few blows before Taylor whips Brian into the ropes and nails him with a shuffle sidekick. As Scott moves in to grab the grounded Blair he is surprised by an armdrag that takes him down to the mat. Locking his legs around his opponent's head; Blair puts Taylor in an armbar as he pushes on Taylor's chin with his right foot. Unable to take the pain Taylor taps out giving the win to The Killer Bee.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and back with us is The
Genius Lanny Poffo. How are you Lanny?
Poffo: Alot better than Rick Rude and Matt Hyson I can tell you that. That monster wears old style tanker boots. Ripped some skin off my fingers pulling those two out.
Okerlund: I was surprised to see you do that.
Poffo: One of my stupider moments to be sure.
Okerlund: The Genius has stupid moments?
Poffo: No. I don't.
Okerlund: So in your opinion will Ravishing Rick Rude be competing in next week's Main Event for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship?
Poffo: Not a chance.
Okerlund: A shame. I wonder if they will just hand the belt to the winner of tonight's Main Event then? Surely they won't let The Blitzkrieg and Von Raschke into the Main Event after that stunt. Moving on to our next match; we're getting set to see a Fatal 4-way. In this type of match up there is four competitors but only one pin.
Poffo: I know what a Fatal 4-way is.
Okerlund: I was talking to the folks at home.
Poffo: As long as you don't expect them to answer; carry on.
McGillicutty: Our first competitor in this Fatal 4-way match scheduled for one fall; hailing from Ontario, Canada at 275 lbs. Canada's Greatest Athlete Iron Mike Sharpe.
The Canadian anthem plays as Mike Sharpe makes his way down the ramp. Poundcake by Van Halen then plays as Rob Van Dam enters the ring showing off.
McGillicutty: Our second challenger this evening weighing 237 lbs. from Battle Creek, Michigan he calls himself Mr. Wednesday Night; Rob Van Dam.
Irish Folk music plays as Erin O'Grady appears tossing coins to the crowd from his mini cauldron.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring now from Dublin, Ireland weighing in at 212 lbs. he is The Leprechaun Erin O'Grady.
Hit by A Brick by The Atomic Fireballs plays as Brickhouse Brown enters the arena. McGillicutty: And our final challenger from Wilmington, Delaware weighing in at 270 lbs. he is Brickhouse Brown.Fatal-Four Way Match: Mike Sharpe vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Erin O'Grady vs. Brickhouse Brown As referee Teddy Long sounds the bell Mike Sharpe and Brickhouse Brown tear into one another with punches while Erin O'Grady sends Rob Van Dam staggering with a bicycle kick; following it up with a whip to the ropes. As RVD comes back he hops over O'Grady; connecting with a sunset flip; getting a two count from Long. Meanwhile Brown has hit Mike Sharpe with a spine buster that only gets a one count before O'Grady makes the save kicking Brickhouse in the back. Hopping up Brown begins wailing on The Leprachaun as he and Sharpe trade opponents; Sharpe Irish whipping RVD into the ropes only to have him come back at him with a flying crossbody which gets him a two count on Sharpe. O'Grady has caught Brickhouse off guard with a hurancanrana, sending the Wilimington native into the ropes; setting Rob up nicely as he grabs the ropes and connects with a tiger feint kick on Brown; sprawling him out in the ring. It is Mike Sharpe however who goes for the cover and gets a two count as Brown powers out hard. O'Grady now has RVD trapped against the turnbuckle as Erin stands on the bottom rope and rains down punchs on him. Across the ring Iron Mike Sharpe has Brown locked in a bearhug as his opponent struggles for freedom; finally getting it with a rake to the eyes of Mike. Rob Van Dam also has escaped O'Grady by tosses him flat on his back into the center of the ring. Going up top RVD connects with the 5-Star Frog Splash; only to have Sharpe roll him up once he bounces off O'Grady; getting a two count. Brickhouse Brown receives the same on a pin attempt to Erin almost simultaneously. And lifting the Irishman up power bombs him back to the floor. Going for the cover Brown gets a surprise from Sharpe who pushes the grappler from behind; sending him out of the ring to the floor below. RVD however has a surprise of his own for Sharpe as he rolls him up from behind in a small package and wins the match.
Okerlund: That was certainly an amazing display of athleticism by all involved. We're about to go to commercial folks; but when when Eastern Championship Wrestling returns we'll witness the final Semi-Final round; which is also out Main Event as The Macho Man Randy Savage takes on Jerry The King Lawler. The Bill Conti Overture sounds as Jerry The King Lawler makes his way down to ringside.
McGillicutty: Tonight's Main Event is scheduled for one fall and is the Semi-Qualifying round of the tournament for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Making his way to the ring weighing in at 243 lbs.; he is Memphis, Tennesee's favorite son; Jerry The King Lawler.
Poffo: I always thought that distinction went to Elvis.
Okerlund: He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Poffo: I meant his career was born there.
Okerlund: Sure you did.
Pomp and Circumstance sounds as The Macho Man Randy Savage theatrically descends the ramp.
McGillicutty: And his challenger weighing in at 237 lbs. from Sarasota, Florida; The Macho Man Randy Savage.Main Event Semi-Final Tournament Match: Jerry Lawler vs. The Macho Man Randy Savage As the bell rings Macho Man Randy Savage stalks Jerry the King Lawler; tauntingly making belt gestures around his own waist. Going down low; Savage takes Lawler down with a leg drag and applies a leg lock to his opponent. Managing to roll over on his back Lawler kicks Randy off him; sending him back into the ropes. Back on his feet The King nails Macho Man with several blows before whipping him and catching Savage on the return Lawler nails him with a back breaker over his knee. Rolling away from The King and out of the ring Macho Man points and yells at his opponent as he circles the ring. Sliding back in Savage finds Lawler wait for him and after receiving a punch to the face; Lawler clotheslines him back over the ropes. Grabbing Lawler's tights however; he takes The King with him down to the floor where Macho Man is up first stomping on his fallen opponent. Lifitng Lawler up Savage hits Jerry's face into the guard rail; following it up with a snapmare to the ground. Picking up The King again he rolls him to the ring and continues the assault with an elbow drop. Deciding to go up high Macho Man climbs the turnbuckle; but Jerry is suddenly on his feet again and running to the corner hits Savage with a belly to belly suplex off the top turnbuckle. Going for the cover he get a long two count from Davis before Macho kicks out. Lifting him up Lawler goes for another suplex; but Savage battles out and whips Jerry into the ropes; going to the opposite side himself and meeting Lawler in the middle where they collide with a high knee smash from The Macho Man. Catching Jerry before he falls Savage delivers a scoop slam and goes for the pin getting a two count as Lawler powers out. Picking Jerry up Randy sends him flying into the corner where he meets him with another high knee smash. Climbing up the turnbuckle with Lawler pinned between them; Savage goes for the a huracanrana off the top turnbuckle only to be countered as Lawler power bombs him down to the mat and goes for the pin earning another two count. Back in control of the match Lawler begins hammering on Randy as he tries to regain his footing and moves to whip Savage when The Macho Man surprises him with a roll up which Jerry kicks out at one. This gives Randy some breathing room however as he rushes at Jerry connecting with a lariat takedown that he follows up with by applying a headlock on The King. Lawler squeezes out and pushes Savage back into the ropes; but leaping up top Macho Man leaps backward, turning in mid-air as he connects with a flying crossbody and pins Lawler to the mat 1-2-3.
Lights Fade.

12/29/93 - Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NYOkerlund: Welcome Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship Wrestling on the night of December 29th; where we join you from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. Tonight's Main Event is still up in the air as the status is still unknown on "The Ravishing One" Rick Ride following a hellacious beating at the hands of Raschke's monster The Blitzkrieg during out last broadcast. One thing is for certain however; The Blitzkrieg will not be here tonight having been given a two week suspension for it's actions here last week. Referee Matt Hyson who also suffered at the hands of that demon suffered several fractured ribs during the assault and will be out indefinitely. We wish you a speedy recovery Mr. Hyson and hope you can join us back here soon. Once again I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and with me now is my broadcast partner; who likes to refer to himself as "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Thank you Gene. But it was my mother who named me Lanny. And you've put the situation tonight mildly I might add. It isn't just tonight's Main Event that's up in the air as Rick Rude was set to face The Macho Man Randy Savage in our Tournament Final for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship. The question on everybody's mind should be what happens if Rude is unable to show tonight? Does the Championship belong to the Macho Man?
Okerlund: I would think so.
Poffo: I wouldn't. He hasn't won it yet.
Okerlund: Well maybe the man inside the ring right now can shed some light on the situaton as he is Eastern Championship Wrestling's own President Eric Bischoff. McGillicutty: Hello ladies and gentlemen; we'd like to welcome at this time; the President of Eastern Championship Wrestling; the one and only Eric Bischoff.
Bischoff: Thank you Ms. McGillicutty. Now before anyone says anything; I already know what you're going to ask. Everywhere I go in the streets people have the same question. Whether it's at the supermarker, the repair shop; or at WWF live events the question is the same. The people they are saying; will Macho Man Randy Savage be Champion if Ravishing Rick Rude doesn't show up last night? They say. Eric; has the most prestigious Title in the world of sports already been won? And quite frankly. The answer is yes. Now the second question they have; since you asked? Will Rick Rude be able to compete? Honestly. I couldn't tell you. We all saw what happened last week. And I haven't heard from the man himself. Haven't heard from his doctor's either. Called his mother; no answer.Pomp and Circumstance plays as The Macho Man Randy Savage makes his way to the arena seemingly fit for a coronation.
Savage: Beeschoff. I'm ready for me Title. You didn't hear from Rude yeah. Well that's cause you ain't gonna. Ysee Rude talks a good game. Perfect this, perfect that. But honestly; he's a bum see. A gym rat. Sure he looks like a competitor. But he don't fight like one. He ain't no Macho Man. Oh no. Ravishing Rick is a ladies man alright. But the kid's got no fight. No drive. Last week he encountered a labor worthy of Haracles and he choked. Lost. Finito. Had that been the Macho Man Randy Savage? That giant would've been brought to his knees dig. Crushed. Pinned 1-2-3 ooh yeah. It's too bad he ain't here tonight. Or The Macho Man would show Raschke's puppet and all the peoples in this arena what it means to be a true World Champion. Yeah. Now Beeschoff. The Title. Dig it.
Macho Man turns as if he's seen a ghost as Rick Rude's strip music plays. After a few minutes The Ravishing One emerges from the back.Rude: Woah. Woah. Woah. Hold on a damned minute. Ravishing Rick Rude back down from no man. Cause no man can stack up against a true man's man. Now last week; sure. That thing I had to face? Did some damage. Black eye? Check? Bruised ribs? Check. But that's why Rick Rude trains so hard. Not just to look this good. And ladies? I'm really sporting this raccoon patch ain't I? A perfect physcial specimen like this is hard to beat down Savage. And even harder to keep down. So don't think for on second you're going to be handed my belt. Cause it's gonna take more than some Macho, Macho Man to keep that Title off of this waist. Beulah?
McGillicutty helps Rick Rude out of his robe as his strip theme plays as he gives the ladies a show. It's obvious he's a bit more hurt than he lets on. Finished with showing off he takes the mic back from Beulah.
Rude: And Bischoff? Just one thing.
Bischoff: What is it?
Rude: That human bowl of Jell-O Black Bart? Banned from ringside.
Bischoff: You got it. If he shows up during your match; he's fired.
Savage looks pissed as Eastern Championship Wrestling goes to commercial.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. As we just witnessed before the break tonight's Main Event is still on as Ravishing Rick Rude fights Macho Man Randy Savage for The Eastern Heavyweight Championship.
Poffo: Rude has to be a little insane to get in a ring tonight Gene. I was shocked to see him still walking after last night's attack. Mr. Bischoff should've been a responsible President and told Rude he wasn't in any condition to compete tonight.
Okerlund: So you'd be in favor of him giving Macho Man the belt?
Poffo: I'm not going that far Gene. A Title is something that should be earned or there's no point to it.
Okerlund: In that we're in rare agreement. Looks like our first match of the evening is about to get underway.
The Bill Conti Overture is heard.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring weighing in at 243 lbs.; he is Memphis, Tenessee's second favorite son behind Elvis; Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Okerlund: Unbelievable. You paid her to say that Poffo. Poffo: What do I look like? The Million Dollar Man? I have no idea what you're babbling on about.
The Kaientai Theme plays as Yoshihiro Tajiri stalks his way down to the ring followed by his manager Mr. Fuji.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Tokyo, Japan being accompanied to the ring by Mr. Fuji and weighing in at 180 lbs.; he is "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri.Match: Jerry Lawler vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri As Jerry Lawler goes to lock up with Yoshiro Tajiri when Teddy Long starts the match; Tajiri only partially hits a spinning heel kick on Lawler. Having to have dealt with him before; Lawler expected it and dodged mostly avoided the blow. Retaliating; The King nails Yoshihiro with multiple punches knocking him into the ropes; before whipping him. Yoshihiro tries for the handspring back elbow; but having scouted him this time; Lawler catches The Japanese Buzzsaw in mid-air and flapjacks him. Going for the pin he gets a two count from the dazed man. Lifting Tajiri up Lawler runs him into the turnbuckle and moves in to continue his assault; only to become a victim of the Tarantula. Lawler writhes in pain until Long gets The Buzzsaw to break the hold. The damage is already done however as Tajiri assaults Lawler with numerous kicks; not letting the veteran regain his footing. Jumping onto Jerry's back in a standing position flattens Tajiri's opponent as Yoshihiro runs around the ring in a circle and comes back with a baseball slide; and going for the pin gets a two count before Lawler powers out. Jumping up onto his opponent from behind as Tajiri moves away Lawler catches the wiry Buzzsaw in a hammerlock; but feeling his own grip loosen, transitions to a suplex; cementing Yoshihiro to the ring. Going for another pin Lawler gets a second two count. Feeling the momentum of the match is back in his favor Lawler looks to go up top and doesn't see that Tajiri is back on his feet persuing him. He does however see that Mr. Fuji has mounted the ring and as he launches his salt Jerry ducks out of the way; and turns as he hears his opponent screaming. Tajiri has been hit by his own manager. With a wry grin; The King looks to capitalize on Fuji's mistake and scoop slams The Buzzsaw to the mat before going up top where he goes high hitting his patented diving fist drop. And going for the cover gets the win. The diabolical Mr. Fuji isn't happy with this turn of events and enters the ring as Long raises Jerry's hand in victory. Viciously the sore loser slams the Jerry in the back of the head with his cane and pushes Long out of the way before continuing his assault. From the back Brian Lawler comes running out to make the save and entering the ring, spins Fuji around and takes him down with a hard right. Before it goes any further however; a recovered Tajiri has pulled his manager out of the ring and The Lawlers stand united again as the villains make their escape to the back of the arena.Okerlund: Welcome back folks to Eastern Championship Wrestling as we get set for some Tag-Team action.
Irish Folk music plays as Erin O'Grady emerges from the rings tossing gold coins to the crowd as he is followed by Black Bart.
McGillicutty: Entering the ring at this time at a combined weight of 497 lbs. they are the team of Black Bart and "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.
Okerlund: Now this is certainly an odd pairing.
Poffo: I believe this is what Bischoff refers to as a Pot-Luck pairing Gene.
Okerlund: Oh I get. Because they're Irish.
Poffo: No Gene. Because two wrestlers are randomly paired up to see how it works out.
Okerlund: And how's that generally go?
Poffo: Well that's part luck Gene. But in general; usually not too good.
And annoying buzzing is heard as The Killer Bees make their way to the ring.
McGillicutty: And their challengers weighing in at a combined weight of 456 lbs. they are The Killer Bees Jumping Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair.Tag-Team match: Black Bart & Erin O'Grady vs. The Killer Bees Black Bart and Jim Brunzell start off the match as they lock up. The two men struggle for the upperhand early on; but circling about his opponent Brunzell hits Bart with a suplex. As Bart cries out in pain; Brunzell lifts him from his seated position and tosses him into the Bees' corner where B. Brian Blair lays hold of him as Jim begins hitting him with several chops until referee Danny Davis breaks it up. Turning about to go for the dropkick; Brunzell instead receives one as Erin O'Grady who has entered the ring takes him down. As Davis removes The Leprechaun from the ring Blair hops over the top rope and lands on top of Bart while he is still down with a stiff elbow drop. Moving in for the pin Brunzell gets a one count before Bart kicks out. Moving onto Bart again; Brunzell finds that the Texan was playing possum as Bart counters with an uppercut sending the Bee staggering. Back on his feet Black Bart begins pounding on Jim driving him into the ropes before whipping him; and upon his return nailing him with a power bomb. Going for the pin Bart gets a two count before Blair is in the ring kicking him off. O'Grady however meets the illegal man halfway into the ring and sends Blair flying with a hurancanrana. Still in control of Brunzell, Bart begins hammering on the younger man with hard elbows to his back and neck before nailing him with a pile driver. Going for the pin; Bart is thwarted again as Blair reaches into the ring and pulls his partner out from under Bart at two and drags him right out of the ring. Black Bart is pissed as both Bees disappear below the ring and storms over to the ropes; when both of his opponents pop back up; only now they're both wearing masks. While Black Bart is still surprised both Bees jump up and hit him with a hair-pull hangman; momentarily choking him against the ropes. Seeing this; Erin comes running and leaps off the steel steps onto one of the masked men; taking him down with a missile dropkick while the second man escapes into the ring. While O'Grady brawls outside; The Killer Bee inside the ring kicks Bart in the gut and proceeds to hit him with a sitout three-quarter facelock jawbreaker. Confused as to what to do; Davis counts 1-2-3 when the masked Bee goes for the pin. Leaving the ring the victorious Bee helps fend off O'Grady before they both remove their masks; where it is clear that B. Brian Blair picked up the pin even though he was in the ring illegally.
Okerlund: Well folks I'm not sure what just happened and I'm not sure referee Danny Davis does either. All I know is that The Killer Bees won. But frankly I'm confused.
Poffo: I've heard that's not an uncommon thing for a man in your condition. Okerlund: And what condition is that pray tell?
Poffo: Being old and dumb. As for The Killer Bees victory we just witnessed? Simply genius.
Okerlund: And I suppose you'd know.
Poffo: Of course.
McGillicutty: Our next match scheduled for one fall; from Philadelphia, Pennsyvania and weighing in at 215 lbs.; he is Steven Richards.
Okerlund: We haven't seen much of this kid yet here in Eastern Championship Wrestling.
Poffo: And I predict after tonight's match we aren't going to either. His opponent has over three decades of in-ring experience and numerous titls under his belt. This should be a short one for sure Gene.
McGillicutty: And his opponent hailing from Quebec, Canada at 231 lbs.; he is "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin.Match: Steven Richards vs. Ronnie Garvin Long starts the match as Steven Richards and Ronnie Garvin pace around the ring sizing one another up. Moving in Garvin smiles as Richards retreats a bit and he comes thundering in slapping Richards about a bit before catching his in a front facelock. Loosening Steven up with a few punches to his ribs; Garvin moves around him and applies a hammerlock; taking his opponent down with one knee. Wincing in pain Richards connects with an elbow to Ronnie's midsection before using his shoulder strength to toss Garvin over him onto the mat. Leaping in to the air Richards connects with a leg drop; but Garvin scramblings to his feet chasing Steven; whom he catches in a camel clutch before he is able to get up. Richards has trouble escaping and nearly taps when in desperation he forces himself to a standing position; but Garvin refuses to let go; hanging onto Richards' back. Stumbling about the ring for a bit; Steven drops back slamming his opponent into the mat. Richards hops back up to his feet; kip-upping. Falling in to attack Garvin; the old veteran gets to his knee and trades punches with Richards as he battles hi way to his feet and whips Richards into the ropes. On his way back however Richards grabs The Rugged One by his head and delivers a double knee facebreaker; sending Garvin staggering back. Looking to capitalize Richard follows it up with a superkick only to have his leg caught by Garvin who takes him down with a legdrag, which he then transitions to a figure four leglock; causing Richards to tap out. Satisfied; Ronnie Garvin gets his towel from the ref, wipes off his sweaty face; and tosses it onto his conquered opponent.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen. Welcome back to the Nassau Coliseum for the December 29th edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling. Before the break we witnessed one hell of a technical display by former NWA TV Champion "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin.
Poffo: I think if that match moved any slower I'd be sleeping.
Okerlund: Oh c'mon.
Poffo: No seriously. The only reason I knew I wasn't sleeping is because in my dreams Gene looks like a young Ethel Merman.
Okerlund: Oh for. Getting set for our next match; Women's Champion-
Poffo: Don't blush.
Okerlund: Women's Champion "Miss Texas" Jackie Moore is set to take on Noriyo Tateno in a non-title bout.
McGillicutty: Good evening ladies and gentleman; introducing first from Dallas, Texas weighing in at 119 lbs. she is Eastern Championship Wrestling's Women Champion Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore.
Miss Jackie comes down the ramp in her cowboy hat with the Championship about her waist; obviously very proud as her music plays. Once she is in the ring; the Jumping Bomb Angels intro sounds.
McGillicutty: And her challenger in this non-title bout scheduled for one fall; from Tochigi Japan weighing in at 150 lbs.; Noriyo Tateno.Match: Noriyo Tateno vs. Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore As Davis starts the match Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore charges Noriyo Tateno only to be whipped across the ring and caught in a lariat takedown upon her return. Leaping upon Jackie; Noriyo starts pummeling the Champion with hard rights and left before Jacqueline forcefully pushes her opponent off her. Moore has no time to recover however as Tateno connects with a Shining Wizard and goes for the pin getting a two count before Jackie counters by rolling Tateno over and catches her in a small package for a two count. Both women are soon back on their feet trading blows when Jacqueline takes Noriyo to the mat with a hip toss which she follows up with a dropkick to the back of her now seated opponent. Going for the pin Jacqueline gets another two count. Lifting Tateno up Jacqueline is taken by surprise in a lifting side slam; planting her to the mat; which gets the Bomb Angel another two count. Trying to keep Jacqueline down as she tries to stand; Noriyo locks up with her and forces Jackie downward in a battle of strenght which Jacqueline counters using Tateno's own momentum with a backslide; earning the pin. Just then the lights dim and mist fills the arena as a mysterious woman appears behind Jacqueline. As the lights go on we see Manami Toyota is in the ring behind the confused Women's Champion whom Manami hits with the Japanese Ocean Suplex; laying Jacqueline out cold.
Okerlund: Who was that?! What a cowardly move.
Poffo: I don't know. But I like the way she dresses.
Okerlund: Maybe she could give you a few fashion tips then.
Poffo: Perhaps.Buck Zumhoff and Dick Murdoch are already in the ring eyeing one another up as Eastern Championship Wrestling returns on air. The lights go dark and come back on as Chris Jericho appears in the arena.
Okerlund: I hate this guy.
Poffo: We know.
Okerlund: It's that obvious?
Poffo: The "I Hate Chris Jericho" bumper sticker on your Honda Civic was a bit of a give away.
McGillicutty: And making his way to the ring; the final competitor in this triple-threat match; from Manhasset, New York weighing in at 210 lbs. he is "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho.
Jericho: Now what the hell is this? Two old geezers in the ring? I don't recall being booked at a retirement castle. This is Nassau Coliseum isn't it?!
Zumhoff: You shut your mouth kid. You may've gotten lucky. Beating the Rock ' Roller Buck Zumhoff a few weeks ago; but let me tell you kiddo; something about tonight. Tonight all the Rock'N Rollers fans are standing in this arena behind him. And we're gonna-
Jericho: Woah there grampa. Fans? Fans?! Looks like the only fans you ran to after our last match were named Ben and Jerry; and they aren't behind you; they're clinging around your waist at the moment if you ask me.
Murdoch: Now you listen here chump. You talk a good game. All I here from you week in, week out; is yap, yap, yap. Flappin' yer gums. But lemme tell ye sumthin' about ol' Dick Murdoch; why-
Jericho: Something about Dick Murdoch? The Dick Murdoch?! You still wrestle? Well I see you share "fans" with Zumhoff over there; but honestly what're you doing here? There some Klan Rally you're in town for? Oh wait. I know. You're on honeymoon with yer cousin; an' ol' Bertha Raye just hadda see New York City? That it?!
Murdoch: Why don't you just quit yer yappin' and git your punk ass down to the ring?Triple-Threat Match: Buck Zumhoff vs. Dick Murdoch vs. Chris Jericho Charging into the ring; Chris Jericho quickly sends Buck Zumhoff staggering with a shoulder block. It's obvious from the get-go however that he and Dick Murdoch are on the same pages as Dick grabs Jericho from behind in headlock whole Buck movesb in and proceeds to hammer him with a volley of fists and hard elbows. After a few minutes of this Murdoch whips Jericho into the ropes and as he returns Dick and Zumhoff send him flying with a double hip toss; having a laugh and sharing a high five with one another. This time it is Buck who lifts Jericho and traps in in a hammerlock as Captain Redneck toys with Chris; hitting him with jab after jab before knocking Jericho on his ass with a massive headbutt. Grabbing Jericho once again Murdoch plants The Long-Island Loud-Mout with a savage brainbuster and goes for the pin. As Teddy Long begins the 3 count; Zumhoff pulls Dick off of their opponent and tosses the shocked redneck from the ring; moving in to pin Jericho himself. He gets a two count before Chris limply gets his foor on the bottom rope. Angered; Zumhoff begins stomping on Jericho; who grabs the Rock 'N Rollers legs and pulls him forward causing him to fall into the ropes. As he lands Buck looks wide-eyed as Dick Murdoch connects with a hard right to his face; sending Zumhoff back into the ring as Jericho attempts to capitalize by rolling Zumhoff up in a schoolboy getting a two count. Back on their feet Chris and Buck trade punches before Dick grabs Chris on the shoulder interrupting them and signals for Jericho to let him cut-in. Moving to the corner of the ring; Jericho gets down on one knee to regroup as he watches Murdoch lay into Zumhoff as they punch and chop one another Murdoch clearly getting the better of his opponent. As the battle gets heated; The Loud-Mouth sees his chance and teeth gritted charges the duo whom he hits with a double bulldog. As both men lie and recover Chris pauses and look at the ropes on either side of him. Running to the right he hits them; springboard moonsaulting onto Dick Murdoch. Getting back to his feet quickly Jericho showboats a little before heading to the left for another springboard moonsault; this time landing on Buck Zumhoff as he attempts to rise from the mat. Clinging onto Zumhoff's tights as he tries to wiggle out of the pin Jericho holds on for the three count and picks up the win.Okerlund: I may not like the kid; but he certainly gets the job done Lanny. For those just tuning in at home; we just witnessed a tremendous Triple-Threat Match. Although things looked shaky for The Long Island Loud-Mouth in the beginning; Christ Jericho pulled off another victory here at Eastern Campionship Wrestling.
Poffo: Getting set for our next match as The Blue Demon Jr. gets set to take on his sometime Tag-Team partner Rhino.
Okerlund: This match I don't get Lanny. I thought these two were friends.
Poffo: I'm not sure if that Rhino kid has any friends. This match all stems from what went on backstage. Blue Demon Jr. tried to give Rhino a present; and frankly Rhino was an ingrate. Blue Demon Jr. had his feelings hurt.
Okerlund: This match has some interesting stipulations not seen here at Easter Championship before. This is a Mask vs. Mask match?
Poffo: Yes Gene you uncultured oaf. Lucha de Apuestas matches are a tradition amongst the Mexican luchadors dating back to July 14, 1940 when Murcielago fought Octavio Gaona. What makes this particular Mask vs. Mask match odd is that Rhino doesn't even have a mask. The stipulation being if Blue Demon Jr. should win; Rhino must wear the mask given to him by the Demon; but if Rhino wins Blue Demon Jr. must unmask.
Survivor's Eye of the Tiger plays as Blue Demon Jr. appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring from Mexico City, Mexico weighing 194 lbs.; he is Blue Demon Jr.
Debonaire by Dope starts up as Rhino charges from the back arms raised.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Detroit, Michigan clocking in at 262 lbs; Rhino.Match: Blue Demon Jr. vs. Rhino As Danny Davis starts the match Rhino jumps into action punching Blue Demon Jr. who grabbing his opponent, whips Rhino into the ropes. Upon his return Demon Jr. connects with a big boot knocking Rhino to the floor. In control now Blue Demon lifts Rhino to his feet and delivers several elbows before Rhino pushes the smaller man away. When Demon Jr. charges back in Rhino lifts him up and hits the spine buster; planting Blue Demon to the mat for a two count. Picking his partner up Rhino returns the favor by delivering a few elbows of his own before running Blue Demon into the corner; setting up for The Gore. As Rhino makes the charge however; the Demon hops up and out of the way as he mounts the top turnbuckle as he watches Rhino slam shoulder first into the steal ring post. Dropping down on his stunned opponent; Blue Demon goes for the roll-up getting a two count. Rhino is back on his feet at the same time Demon gets to his; but it's obvious Rhino's shoulder his giving him some trouble; leading to the Blue Demon Jr. to grab his injured arm and lock it into an arm wrench; causing Rhino to howl in pain. Demon then leaps up and pulls Rhino down into a rolling cross armbar. Rhino spasms in pain; grabbing the bottom rope. Davis breaks the hold and Rhino uses the second rope to climb to his feet as Blue Demon Jr. rushes at him again only to be hit with a desperation release power bomb. Rhino slowly drops down for the pin only getting a one count. As he makes his way back to one knee the Demon is already on him hammering away at his injured shoulder. Lifting Rhino up Blue Demon Jr. twists him into his butterfly suplex backbreaker and mercifully puts him away; getting the win.
Okerlund: And there you have it folks as The Blue Demon Jr. dominates in this Mask vs. Mask Match. We're now going to break; but stay tuned for when we return we'll be witnessing the Final Match of our tournament as The Macho Man Randy Savage takes on Ravishing Rick Rude for the vacant Eastern Heavyweight Championship.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlement to Eastern Championship Wrestling right here on our home channel of TNN. We're about set for the Main Event; a match everyone's been waiting for.
Poffo: Define everyone.
Okerlund: Everyone except you Lanny. Everyone except you.
Poffo: Geez Gene. Way to get off track. What Gene means Wrestling Fans is this is the Match we've been building to since our first broadcast. Each of these competitors has faced a gauntlet of ECW's very best. Arn Anderson, Jerry Lawler, Yoshihiro Tajiri, The Blitzkrieg. The list goes on an on. Throughout this Tournament many dreams were dashed to get us here. To these two men as The Macho Man Randy Savage takes on The Ravishing One Rick Rude for the greatest prize in wrestling; the Eastern Heavyweight Championsip.
Pomp and Circumstance sounds as Randy Savage appears on stage.
McGillicutty: The following contest is for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship and scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring from Sarasota, Florida weighing in at 237 lbs. he is The Macho Man Randy Savage.
As Savage hams it up in the ring; Rick Rude's strip theme hits and he makes his way down the ramp.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Robbinsdale, Minnesota weighing 251 lbs.; Ravishin Rick Rude.
Macho Man steps outside the ring as Rick Rude comes in the ring and does his thing; Beulah stepping up to remove his robe.Main Event for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship - Randy Savage vs. Rick Rude Randy Savage gets back into the ring and locks up with Rick Rude as referee Teddy Long begins the match. It's obvious just from this initial test of strength that Rude is in pain and Macho Man is ready to take full advantage as he pulls Rude close and knees him repeatedly in the ribs; sending him staggering. Chasing after him Savage hits Rude with an atomic drop; followed by a scoop slam as The Ravishing One turns toward him. Going for the pin The Macho Man gets a two count and complains to Long about a slow count. Rude has gained a bit of distance by rolling away and getting to his feet charges Savage while the Macho Man is still on his knees; taking him to the mat with a flying clothesline. On the floor Rude begins wailing on his opponent but Randy rakes Rick's eyes to escape. Crawling away on his hands an knees; Rude faces a new assault as Savage back on his feet begins stomping on Rick's back; finishing with an elbow drop to Rude's back. Rolling the hurt man over; Rude gets another two count and once again begins arguing with Teddy over the count. Savage is to busy arguing to see that Rude is back on his feet and grabbing his opponent; nails The Macho Man with the Rude Awakening. Going for the cover Rude gets a two count before Savage powers out. Randy is up first as Rick struggles up to one knee and begins trading punches with Savage. With a sudden burst burst of energy Rude lunges up; lifting a surprised Randy Savage up into the air and slams him down into the mat. Going for the pin Rick scores another two count. He is unable to capitalize further however as the pain in his ribs keeps him on the floor with Savage. Finally after regaining his wind The Macho Man rolls out of the ring and begins circling as Rude also slowly gets to his feet inside the ring. Showing off for a bit taunting Rude; Savage climbs up the turnbuckle. Macho man stays up top a little too long however as Rude runs up the turnbuckle and tosses Savage back down to the mat before falling backwards into the ring himself. The first to recover; Randy tries to limply cover Rude draping his arm over him; but only gets a one count before Rude counters in a desperate armbar. Randy screams in pain but inches his way to the rope getting Long to break them up. Savage now uses the ropes to climb back up and stretches his arm out before he starts stomping on Rude's ribs again. Lifting Rude to his feet; Savage blocks most of his opponent's attempts to battle back; before power bombing him back down to the floor. Going for the pin he gets a near three count and pulls his hair in frustration before yelling at the ref yet again. After shoving Long a little Savage turns in time to receive a flying knee from Rude; who follows it up with furious punches to The Machon Man; whom he whips across the ring. Unable to stop his momentum Randy his hit with a Tornado DDT by Rude; planting him into the ground. He isn't moving as Rude goes for the pin. He just about has it when Macho Man kicks out. Both men are spent as they get to their feet sizing one another up. Rude begins the assault as the two men trade punches back and forth; Savage ending it with a hip toss; followed by a vicious kick to the ribs. Macho Man roars as he stomps about the ring and once again climbs the turnbuckle. Rude begins to stir as The Macho Man flies from the top turnbuckle executing the Savage Elbow Drop. Hooking the leg and pulling a bit on The Ravishing One's tights; Mach Man Randy Savage screams as Long counts to three and he becomes the Eastern Heavyweight Champion. Staggering to his feet Savage's hand is held high by the ref as Debbie Combs rushes down to ringside and throws herself into Savage's arms. Lights Fade.
