Joey Styles: For those few of you that might have been crazy enough to miss Sunday Night Meltdown, this past Sunday Night, then you missed an amazing match when Tatanka and The Kid and teamed up to face Kevin Sullivan and Sabu. You also missed what happened after The Kid pinned Kevin Sullivan to get the win. A wrestler known simply as The Tazmaniac, an accomplished wrestler who has toured all corners of the United States as well as Japan, is a master of multiple suplex variations as well as being freaking insane, attacked Tatanka and The Kid right after the match. Tatanka did not take too kindly to that, and demanded to face The Tazmaniac here tonight!!!! Plus in our Main Event, Bret “The Hitman” Hart battle Ted Dibiase in a Division One World Title Tournament Match!!!!!

The Tazmaniac rushes Tatanka who is more than willing to start brawling with him. Tatanka and Taz are throwing caution to the wild as they tear into each other in an all out brawl!!!!! Tatanka seems to be getting the upper hand until The Tazmaniac catches him with a head and arm suplex!!!!! The Tazmaniac doesn’t let up after the and starts to toss Tatanka around the ring. The Tazmaniac drops Tatanka on his head with a release German Suplex and then goes for the pin, but only gets a two count!!!!! Tatanka starts to break into his comeback, pumping his arm in the air and shaking with every punch The Tazmaniac throws until Tatanka breaks into a full out WAR DANCE!!!!!

Tatanka is firing away and The Tazmaniac is bouncing around like a pinball!!!! Tatanka levels The Tazmaniac with a HUGE Chop the sends The Tazmaniac flying through the ropes and onto the floor!!!! While Tatanka has his back turned yelling at the Tazmaniac to get back in the ring, Kevin Sullivan jumps Tatanka from behind, drawing the DQ!!!!!! Tatanka fights back and sends Sullivan into the ropes before splattering him on the mat with a Samoan Drop. But as Tatanka tries to rise to his feet The Tazmaniac is waiting and drops Tatanka on his head a second time with a release German Suplex!!!!!

Kevin Sullivan is soon up and he and The Tazmaniac are putting the boots to Tatanka!!!! It looks like they might finish Tatanka off once and for all when

Jacob follows him to the floor and whips him into the ring post!!!! Back in the ring Eli powerbombs Pittman and pins him for the 1-2-3 in less than a minute!!!!!


Joey Styles: I’m not sure what the NWA is planning to do about crowning new NWA World Tag Team Champions, but one thing is for sure, the Bruise Brothers have to be odds on favorites in Vegas. Missy Hyatt is in the back with another tag team that is interested to learn what will happen with the NWA World Tag Team Titles, Billy and Bart, The Smoking Gunns!!

Missy and the camera man walk out to the hall to find a Ron Simmons lying on a broken table and Big Bubba Rogers standing over him with a nightstick. The Smoking Gunns chase Rogers off as Missy yells for some help.

Joey Styles: We are back, and Ron Simmons is being attended to by the trainers in the back, he is supposed to face The Undertaker here tonight in a Divison 2 World Title Tournament Match, but I am not sure if he is going to be able to compete. Right now Tommy Rich is in the ring and he is supposed to face Big Bubba Rogers, but Rogers still hasn’t come out, even though his music is playing.


Rich is pacing around the ring jawjacking with the fans, waiting for Rogers, when NWA Commisioner Dory Funk Jr. suddenly appears and walks to the ring. Dory take the microphone from Bob Artese.

Dory Funk Jr. : A few moments ago I ejected Big Bubba Rogers from the building for his attack on Ron Simmons. As a result, Tommy Rich will be awarded this match by forfeit. We are hoping that Ron Simmons will be able to compete later tonight against the Undertaker.

Tommy Rich starts celebrating like he won the World Title running around the ring with his arms in the air and jumping in the air.

Joey Styles: Look at that schmuck, anyway, here’s hoping Ron Simmons is able to compete against the Undertaker here tonight. Let’s go to the back and Missy Hyatt who is with Ricky Steamboat and his partner Shane Douglas.

Joey Styles: Fans, we received a video earlier this week from a man who is known as “The Manager of Champions” he has managed the NWA World Champion on several occasions, as well as the NWA World Tag Team Champions. He disappeared at the height of his success, but according to this video he will be returning to the NWA and he isn’t coming alone.


Video begins to play , we see a large office with a nice wooden desk, and a man sitting in a large leather chair. The chair is turned so we cannot see the man, he begins to speak

No one knew what happened to him, and it was one of wrestlings greatest mysteries. Today it has been solved and whomever this young man is that James J Dillon is bring to the NWA, he has to be considered a threat to whomever wins the NWA Title. Speaking of the World Title Tournament and Division 2, up next, we are supposed to have The Undertaker vs. Ron Simmons, however after the attack by Big Bubba Rogers, there is no telling if Ron Simmons will be able to compete. Simmons with taped up ribs and shoulder is limping to the ring. Referee Pee Wee Moore and PJ Walker are trying to convince him to go to the back but Simmons is refusing. He pulls himself to the ring and nods towards the Undertaker who returns the gesture.

Joey Styles: This is unbelievable!!! Ron Simmons has to be in incredible pain, but he is showing what kind of man he is!!! Any other wrestler would still be laying on his back in the trainers office, but not Ron Simmons he is here to give it his all and try and become the World Heavyweight Champion!!!

Simmons puts up a hell of a fight. Undertaker takes it a tad easy on Simmons at first. Simmons tries all that he can to wrestle Undertaker, but with injured ribs and shoulder he is unable to get the leverage to pull any of the moves off. Undertaker soon learns not to show any compassion to Simmons, as the former World Heavyweight Champion bashes Undertaker in the face with a forearm shot!!!’

Joey Styles: Ron Simmons may not be able to wrestle but he can still fight!!!!

Simmons and the Undertaker break out into a barroom brawl. Simmons gets an early burst and has Taker rocking and rolling in the ring!!!!! Simmons is throwing everything he has at the Undertaker, but begins to run out of gas. Simmons’ injuries are draining him of his strength and stamina. Simmons starts to fade and that allows the Undertaker to take back over. Taker pounds on Simmons before whipping him into the ropes, Simmons finds one last burst of energy to shock the Undertaker and everyone else watch with an explosive flying shoulder tackle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bret and Dibiase quickly show everyone why they are considered the heavy favorites to win the NWA World Title as they showcase their superior mat wrestling skills. The two men trade holds and reversals several time, and we even have a rapd fire pin attempt sequence where eboth men frantically trade pinning perdiciments, though neiother is able to put the other one away.

Joey Styles: Both of these men are second generation wrestlers, and both men are considered the finest examples of wrestling pedigree. They have been trained from the cradle to be the best in the world, and they have excelled. This match is only going to turn when one man makes a rare mistake.

As Joey is making his point, Bret Hart illustrates it as he drops his head to early for a backdrop and Dibiase makes him pay for it with a Million Dollar Knee Lift!!!!

Joey Styles: Dibiase with the Million Dollar Knee Lift, a move he learned from the Legendary Mr. Wrestling II!!!!

Dibiase finds himself in the driver’s seat and doesn’t let up as he pours on the punishement. After several minutes Dibiase locks in a figure four leg lock!!!! Bret is fighting with all his might as Joey Styles quickly sends us to a commercial break and promises that the cameras are filming!!!!

The match is out of control from the opening bell, Tazmaniac and Sabu are wild brawlers, but Tatanka and The Patriot aren’t about to back down and it results in a chaotic situation, toss Kevin Sullivan into the mix at ringside and this powderkeg has the potiental to blow sky high!!! Tatanka and The Patriot give as a good as they get and take control of the match earlier, trapping Tazmaniac in the ring and working him over. Joey Styles is surprised at how well the Patriot and Tatanka are working together when he believes this is the first time they have ever teamed. The faces look well on their way to claiming victory when Sullivan turns the tide by reaching into the ring and tripping up Tatanka!!!!! That allows Tazmaniac to tag in Sabu and with Sullivan barking orders, Sabu and Tazmaniac start to really do a number on Tatanka. Sullivan even gets some cheap shots of his own in when Sabu toss Tatanka out of the ring and distracts the referee. Sullivan bodyslams Tatanka on the cold, unforgiving concrete floor and rolls him back into the ring to Sabu who locks on the Camel Clutch!!!!!!

Back in the arena, Sabu has finally released the Cobra Clutch and is tagging out to The Tazmaniac. The two men hit Tatanka with a double suplex and The Tazmaniac tries for a cover, but only gets a two count. Tazmainac then begins to show off his array of suplexes, hitting Tatanka with several variations before executing a German Suplex with a bridge for another pin attempt that only gets a two count. This frustrates The Tazmaniac to no end and his whips Tatanka into the corner. He then starts to pummel Tatanka with rights and lefts, but a strange thing begins to happen in the middle of the onslaught, Tatanka starts to no sell Tazmianc’s punches!!!!! Tatanka starts to break into his war dance and nothing Tazmaniac can do can stop it!!! Tatanka fries off chop after chop until he sends Tazmaniac spiraling to the mat!!! Tatanka then makes the tag to the Patriot!!!
Sabu quickly jumps into the ring as well, but the Patriot is able to fight off both men!!!! Sabu gets knocked out of the ring and The Patriot hooks The Tazmaniac with a Full Nelson and then plants him into the mat with the Full Nelson Slam!!!!!! The Patriot makes the cover!!!

They are both threatening each other with a chair, Sullivan climbs into the ring and The Kid tries to watch both Sabu and Sullivan, this of course means he doesn’t see The Tazmaniac sneak up behind him and grab a waist lock!!! The Tazmaniac drops The Kid right on his head with a full release German Suplex!!!! Sullivan then drags The Kid to the center of the ring and Sabu climbs the top rope with the chair!!!

Bret Hart: There is nothing to rebound from Missy, I don’t look behind only ahead, yes I lost to Ted Dibiase on Wednesday Night, but there is nothing I can do about it now except to win all the matches in front of me, and in front of me is Sabu. Now I know that Sabu is unorthodox and is a maniac. Well let me tell you something Sabu, I am not afraid of you, I am not worried about how crazy you are, because if you want to get nuts, well, I’ll get nuts too!!!! Once he has Rogers at his mercy Undertaker lets loose a rapid succession of punches to the ribs, chest and face of Rogers that rocks the mercenary!!!! Undertaker then grabs Rogers arm, climbs the ropes and then walks across the top rope before coming down with a chop!!!! Undertaker then stalks Rogers as Bubba slowly rises to his feet, once he does the Undertaker goozles him!!!! Undertaker is about to hit the chokeslam when Rogers rips the Undertaker’s eyes , forcing the Undertaker to release the goozle!!! Rogers kicks Undertaker in the chest, knocking Taker to the ground!!!! Rogers then hits the ropes and executes a big splash on Undertaker, but a cover only gets a two count!!!

Rogers tries to whip Undertaker into the ropes, but Taker reverses it and just about takes Rogers’ head off with a Big Boot!!!!! This is the last match for both men in Division 2. Both only have 1 win, though Simmons 2 loses came as a direct result of Big Bubba Rogers getting involved. Rich’s only win came here last week after Rogers was ejected from the building for attacking Simmons backstage. Rich pokes Simmons in the chest and yells at Simmons saying he is a former NWA World Champion, then slaps Simmons in the mouth!!!!! Simmons doesn’t take kindly to that and blast Rich with a monster clothesline!!!!!! Simmons whips Rich into the ropes and throws him down to the mat with a violent Spinebuster!!!!!!! Simmons gets the 1-2-3 to win the match in less than 90 seconds!!! Simmons storms off as Rich’s manager climbs into the ring and tries to revive his charge.




Joey Styles: Rich should have never been in the tournament, and if not for Big Bubba Rogers I believe that Ron Simmons might have won Division 2, one thing is for sure, whomever does win the NWA World Title is going to HAVE to give Ron Simmons a title shot!!!! Fans, last week we saw a video from James J Dillon who claims he is returning to the NWA after almost half a decade, and that he is bringing with him a man that will dominate the NWA in this decade and the next. Well Mr. Dillon has sent us a second video, let’s watch that now.

James J Dillon: They say that the NWA World Title can be traced back to the turn of the century, and that only the greatest wrestlers in the world have ever held it. I can attest to the quality of man it takes to hold the title, as I once managed the man many believed to be the greatest NWA Champion of all time. But even he will pale in comparison to the man I am bringing to the NWA.

This young man has a lineage that traces back to Charlemagne, he has been trained by some of the greatest former wrestlers to ever lace up the boots. When I look over the landscape of professional wrestling today, all I see is washed up former champions clinging to past glories, second generation wrestlers trying and failing to equal the greatness of their fathers, freaks of nature charading as athletes, and glorified stuntmen flopping around the mat.



In my estimation, none of these men are true heirs to the Wrestling Throne, none of these men have what it takes to be a true champion. The man I will soon be bringing to the NWA is the one true heir to the NWA World Heavyweight Title, his cerebral capacity is only outweighed by his pure skill inside the squared circle. Soon, my new protégé will make his debut and when he does, you will all be witnesses to history.

Joey Styles: I said it last week, and I will say it again this week, if JJ Dillon says that this man has what it takes to be the NWA World Champion than that holds allot of weight. Dillon has indeed managed the man who many say was the greatest NWA Champion of all time, and after Dillon left him it was evident that this man’s skills suffered for it. Dillon is a king maker, and whomever wins the NWA World Title at Starcade must keep his eyes on whomever JJ brings to the NWA.

gather, Ron Simmons was coming through the curtain, and Big Bubba Rogers was waiting here for his match. They exchanged words, and Rogers tried to attack Simmons from behind. Ron Simmons defended himself and after an intense fight, he threw Big Bubba Rogers through a TABLE!!!!


Commissioner Dory Funk Jr. has escorted Ron Simmons out of the building and ejected him for the night, and the trainers are saying that there is no way Big Bubba Rogers will be able to face Kevin Nash!! If I can find out anything else I will let you know, back to you at ringside Joey!!





Joey Styles: Thank you Missy, and while Missy was explaining to us what had happened, Referee Justin Walker ran out here and explained it to Bill Alfonso who has awarded this match by forfeit to Kevin Nash!!! Fans, Missy Hyatt has caught up with one of the men in tonight’s Main Event, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat!!!



Missy Hyatt: Thank you Joey!! Ricky, on Sunday Night we saw you have maybe the match of the tournament against The Kid! But tonight you have to face a much different wrestler when you face The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase!




Ricky Steamboat: That’s right Missy Hyatt, and I must say this match is a MUST WIN for me tonight. If I win tonight it puts Ted Dibiase, Bret Hart and I all in the same class, all with one lose each, and it gets me closer to my goal of becoming the NWA World Heavyweight Champion for a second time.


Ted Dibiase, you say every man has his price, and I do have my price, but it isn’t one that can be paid!!!! My price is paid when I hear the cheer of the fans, when I look into my wife and sons eyes and see that they are PROUD of me. That isn’t something you can pay Ted Dibiase!!! You say I am not Ted Dibiase, and you are right, because I HAVE A HEART AND I HAVE A SOUL!!!! Something you no longer possess!!!!! And that is what is going to take me to a victory here tonight!!!!!!!!!!

Shane Douglas vs. “ Mr. Wallstreet” Mike Rotunda

A preview of sorts of tonight’s main event as Dibiase partner Rotunda faces off against Steamboat’s partner, Shane Douglas!!!! Rotunda tries to stall and keep the pace slow, where he is most comfortable. He succeds for a while, keeping Douglas on the mat locked into headlocks, armbars, sleeper holds and abdominal stretches. But that only works for so long as Douglas is finally able to break out and turn the match into a fast paced brawl!!!! After fighting Rotunda all over the ringside area, Douglas catches Rotunda with a Belly to Belly Suplex and get the three count for the victory!!!!


Joey Styles: One has to wonder if that is an omen for later tonight when Steamboat and Dibiase meet in our main event!!! Fans don’t go away, when we return, Bret Hart face Sabu in a Division 1 Match up!!!!!!!!!!

Bret Hart isn’t rushing into anything, he know Sabu is dangerous and doesn’t want to risk getting caught by surprise by any of Sabu’s unorthodox attacks. Bret also knows he has to keep an eye on the demented Games Master Kevin Sullivan if he hopes to get back on the winning track. Sabu dives at Bret, and The Hitman is ready for him, the two start battling it out. Coming into the match everyone thought of Bret as the suprieor technical wrestler and Sabu as the superior brawler, but you wouldn’t know it here as Bret is giving as good as he gets to the Suicidal Madman Sabu!!!




Sabu uses one of those unorthodox attacks we talked about earlier to take the early advantage when Bret whips Sabu into the ropes and Sabu executes a springboard leg lariat off the middle rope. Sabu doesn’t llet up, putting the full court press on Bret Hart. Sabu is relentless with his assault, kicking, stomping and tearing at Hart before locking in The Camel Clutch!!!!



Joey Styles: THE CAMEL CLUTCH!!! Taught to by Sabu by the originator of the hold, Sabu’s infamous Uncle The Sheik!!! Bret is known as the Submission Expert, but Sabu is no slouch in that department and has been known to get a win with this hold. Bret has to try and hold on, because if he loses this match his chances of going to Starcade will be drastically reduced!!!



Sabu wrenches on the hold and referee Pee Wee Moore is right in Bret’s face asking him if he gives up. But Bret is refusing. After several excrutiating minutes, Sabu finally releases the hold!! Sabu kicks Bret several times hard on the mat before finally kicking Bret clear out of the ring!!!!! Sabu measures Bret and starts to run the ropes as Bret slowly gets onto his feet. Joey Styles: These two are nuttier than a fruit cake!!! Anyone who has been watching the NWA since we launched know that Sullivan and The Tazmaniac have had their problems with Tatanka, and this past Sunday Night Tatanka brought one of the most highly sought free agents in wrestling to the NWA when the Patriot debuted as his partner. Missy Hyatt is backstage with Tatanka and The Patriot!!

A split screen shows Tazmaniac and Sullivan slowly walking to the ring, and Missy Hyatt backstage with Tatanka and The Patriot who are watching everything on a monitor.

Missy Hyatt: I am with Tatanka and The Patriot and gentlemen, you seem to be keeping a close eye on this match!

Tatanka: That we are Missy, we know FIRST HAND what Kevin Sullivan and The Tazmaniac are capable of, and we are going to make sure that things don’t get out of hand.



Patriot: That’s right, and if things do get out of hand, well we are more than ready to lend a hand to our friends, Billy and Bart.


Smoking Gunns vs. Tazmaniac and Kevin Sullivan




The screen quickly returns to a single screen as The Tazmaniac and Sullivan jump into the ring and attack the Smoking Gunns. The Gunns are a good team and are ready for the attack. It takes referee Paul Diamond several minutes to restore any type of order, but once he does Bart Gunn and The Tazmaniac find themselves as the legal men. After several thrilling minutes of brawling, Bart takes control. Making quick tags in and out with his brother Billy they work over The Tazmaniac, trying to wear him down enough to get the pinfall, but The Tazmaniac refuses to go down and fights tooth and nail to stay in the match.


Joey Styles: The Tazmaniac may be nuts, but he also is one of the most accomplished young wrestlers in the game today and he has the potiental to be a World Champion one day.



The Gunns continue to dominate Tazmaniac, that is until Taz almost takes Bart’s head off with a clothesline and then crushes him with a full release German Tazplex!!!! Tazmaniac then tags out to Kevin Sullivan and the Nutjob Express has their turn to play keep away with Bart! Taz and Sullivan have a field day with Bart, hitting all their signature spots, including Sullivan’s double stomp and Tree of Woe.


Billy is going insane on the apron, begging Bart to make the tag!!! Billy tries to rush into the ring a few times, and each time he does it causes referee Paul Diamond to escort him out, and allows the heels the chance to double team Bart. All hope looks lost for the Smoking Gunns, that is until a miscue by Taz and Sullivan allows Bart to break away, dive toward his corner and MAKE THE DESPERATION HOT TAG!!!!!!!

Billy is all fired up and comes in unloading on Sullivan and Taz!!! Billy bats around both men before backdropping Taz CLEAR OUT OF THE RING!!!!!!!!!! Billy then goes to work on Sullivan and after winning an exchange of punches, grabs a quick two count after a vertical suplex, Billy doesn’t let up, getting another two count after a powerslam, and yet another after a swinging neckbreaker!!!



Billy is rolling, but all that comes to a screetching halt when he tries to hit the ropes, and The Tazmaniac reaches into the ring and trips him up!!!!! Sullivan pounces on Billy and starts to rub his face in the mat!!!! The Tazmaniac jumps up on the apron and signals to Sullivan to whip Billy to him. Sullivan tries, but Billy reverses it and Sullivan and Taz collide instead!!!!! Tas is sent flying off the apron and Sullivan staggers back into Billy who hits the Teardrop Suplex, bridges and gets the 1-2-3 for the win!!!!!!!!



Billy doesn’t get the chance to celebrate however as The Tazmaniac is quickly in the ring with a steel chair!!!

Bret Hart: Thank you Missy, but just like I had to quickly put those loss last week against Ted Dibiase behind me, I also have to put this win against Sabu behind me, because on Sunday Night I will have my last match in the tournament against The Kid.


Anyone who saw the match between the Kid and Ricky Steamboat this past Sunday knows what kind of competitor The Kid is, so I know I will have my work cut out for me. Now in a few minutes, Ricky will be facing Ted Dibiase, and the winner of that match will be tied with me for the lead in Division One. I have already shared some tips that I picked up last week in my match with Dibiase with Steamboat, and hopefully that will help him beat Dibiase here tonight!




Missy Hyatt: Bret Hart has a vested interest in this match, he holds the tie breaker over Ricky Steamboat, so if he is going to tie with anyone, it would be in his best interests if that person was Ricky Steamboat. Back to you Joey!!!

Steamboat and Dibiase start out very slow, feeling each other out. Whenever Steamboat tries to quicken the pace, Dibiase quickly runs to the ropes to stop things. Dibiase can only keep things grounded for so long until Steamboat finally has enough and starts to send Dibiase flying around the ring. Steamboat breaks out his full arsenal of flying headscissors, dropkicks and deep arm drags to keep Dibiase bouncing around like a pinball.



Joey Styles: The winner of this match is going to be the man who can dictate the pace. These two athletes are too evenly matched.



Steamboat hits a deep arm drag that he converts into an arm bar as we head to our final commercial break!

Steamboat and Dibiase are trading chops as we return from commercial break. Joey is yelling about how these two men are throwing caution to the wind in order to try and get the victory over the other, Dibiase gets the upperhand and tries to throws Steamboat over the top rope, but Steamer skins the cat!!!!! Dibiase is bragging to the fans and doesn’t realize Steamboat is behind him, when he turns around he finds out as Steamboat creams him with a huge chop!!!!!

The two men continue to battle it out, with each hitting all their signature spots, Steamboat almost screws the pooch when he misses a crossbody block off the top rope, and Dibiase almost has to give it all up when Steamboat catches him with a Double Chicken Wing. The two are on their knees, completely wasted and trading chops when the bell rings and an exhausted Joey Styles informs us that they have gone to a 30 minute time limit draw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




Joey says because of this Steamboat and Dibiase will both receive 1 point and that puts Bret Hart in the lead!!!! Joey yells that we are out of time!!!!

Joey Styles: Hello everyone and welcome to a historic night here on Sunday Night Meltdown!! Tonight we will find out who the first man going to Starcade will be as the unbeaten Undertaker takes on the unbeaten Kevin Nash in a match where the winner will be awarded the Division 2 crown!!!!! Also tonight, two big Division 1 matches as Bret Hart battles his good friend The Kid and Ted Dibiase takes on the lunatic Sabu!!!!!



Bret Hart vs. The Kid

Bret and The Kid shake hands before the match, this is Bret’s final match in Division 1, and in order to have a chance at winning, he has to defeat the Kid here. The two friends sahke hands before hooking up.


Though they are close friends, they don’t pull any punches here, both men know what is at stake and they both are going to give it their all to get the victory. Everything stays pretty even and slow until The Kid just about decapitates Bret with a spinning heel kick!!! This knocks the tempo way up and the two throw caution to the wind!


The Kid gets several near falls with crossbody blocks and hurricanrana’s, but he brings the crowd to their feet after dumping Bret out of the ring and hitting a moonsault from the top rope to Bret standing on the arena floor!!!!!! The Kid still only gets a two count after rolling Bret back into the ring, and the tide soon turns when Bret reverses an irish whip and catches The Kid with a tilt a whil slam!!!!!


Bret then starts to dissect The Kid, hitting a second rope forearm drop, a side Russian leg sweep, a snap suplex and a backbreaker. After each big move Bret moves in for a cover, but each time the Kid kicks out. Bret breaks out his highflying chops as well when the Kid , trying to catch a breather, rolls out of the ring. Bret doesn’t give The Kid a chance as he hits him with a suicide plancha through the ropes to the floor!!!!! Bret rolls The Kid into the ring, but the Kid just barely kicks out before Bill Alfonso hits the mat for the third time!!!!




It is obvious that Bret is getting frustrated when he tries to set The Kid up on the top rope for a Superplex, but The Kid blocks it and pushes Bret off of the top turnbuckle. The Kid then plasters Bret with a Missile Dropkick from the top rope!!!!!!!!!!!! The Kid covers!!!

The Kid finally submits, giving Bret a final record of 3-1 and a final score of 6 points!!!!!!


Bret helps The Kid to his feet and the two men hug as Joey sends us to a commercial break with a hope that we will see these two men lock it up again one day!!

Ron Simmons vs. The Sandman



Joey Styles talks about how The Sandman is a Phildelphia wrestler who has been getting some notice lately, even if he wears a goofy wetsuit to the ring. The Sandman is no match for an angry Ron Simmons, who would probably steamroll the entire 101st Airborne in the mood he currently resides. The Sandman puts up a valiant effort, but Simmons just manhandles him and pins him after a press slam and dominator. Simmons then signals to Joey Styles to come into the ring


Joey Styles enters the ring and says Simmons asked for this time, and asks Simmons whats on his mind.

Ron Simmons: I am damn sick and tired of Big Bubba Rogers. Rogers I gave you a piece of your own medicine on Wednesday Night, but I am not done with with you yet. I have already talked to Funk, and he says its all up to you, if you got the guts punk. Me, you STARCADE. One on one in this ring, sign on the line and get your butt kicked!!!!!

Dibiase , Rotunda and Rogers enter the ring and start to jawjack with Sullivan, Sabu and Tazmaniac. Dibiase asks Rotunda for the briefcase Rotunda always carries and offers it, full of cash, to Sullivan if he can get Sabu to take a walk!!!!

Sabu lies to the mat and invites Dibiase to pin him!!!! Dibiase goes to make the pin, but Sabu instead grabs a handful of Dibiase’s hair and rolls him up!!!!!!


Joey Styles: A DOUBLE CROSS!!!! SULLIVAN JUST DOUBLE CROSSED DIBIASE!!!!!!


On the outside of the ring Sullivan bashes Rogers with the briefcase and Tazmaniac and Rotunda start to brawl!!!!!!!


Inside the ring, Dibiase and Sabu are beating the tar out of each other!!!!! Dibiase has had his share of knock down drag out fight, especially back in the day when he worked in Mid South Wrestling, but he never met a wrestler quite like the maniac Sabu. Dibiase tries to whip Sabu into the corner but Sabu reverses it and sends Dibiase chest first into the corner, and then nails him with a springboard leg lariat!!!! Sabu climbs out to the ring apron and slingshots himself back in with a leg drop, but a cover only gets a two count!!!! Sabu locks in the Camel Clutch!!!!!



Joey Styles: The Camel Clutch taught to Sabu by his uncle the Legendary Sheik, whom I believe Ted Dibiase may have faced once or twice!!!!!



Dibiase is refusing to give up while on the outside of the ring, the brawl is continuing between the two camps! Sabu finally releases the Camel Clutch and sends Dibiase into the ropes, but drops his head a touch to early and Dibiase catches him by surprise with a Million Dollar Knee Lift!!!!! Dibiase doesn’t let Sabu catch his breath, quickly grabbing Sabu and damn near breaking him in half with a belly to back suplex!!!!!! Acover attempt only gets a two count. Dibiase pulls Sabu up to his feet and executes a butterfly suplex, but that also only gets a two count!! DDT by Dibiase, another cover, and another two count!!!!!



Dibiase tries to hit a vertical suplex on Sabu, but Sabu twist out of the hold in midair, lands behind Dibiase, grabs a waist lock and rolls him up for a two count!!!! Sabu then unloads with punches and a dropkick that sends Dibiase flying out of the ring!!! Rogers and Rotunda help Dibiase up to his feet, and do not notice Sabu climbing the turnbuckles!!!



MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP ROPE TO THE FLOOR ON ALL THREE MEN!!!!!!!

Kevin Nash vs. The Undertaker

Nash and Undertaker are standing face to face in the center of the ring, neither is saying a thing as the two monsters just stare each other down!!!! Nash piefaces The Undertaker!!!! The Undertaker is none to happy about that and starts to throw punches at Nash, who answers back and we have a slugfest on our hands!!!!!!!!


Nash gets the upperhand and his punches back Taker into the corner!!! Nash whips Taker across the ring and follows him in with a hard clothesline that moves the ring!!!! Nash doesn’t let up smashing Taker in the corner with a series of hard back elbows!!!!!

Nash then whips the Undertaker back into t he opposite corner and once again moves the ring!!!! Nash tries to follow up again with a clothesline, but this time the Undertaker makes Nash eat a big boot to the face!!!!With Nash staggered the Undertaker tosses him into the corner and starts to unload with rapid punches and knife edge thrusts!!!!!!!


Undertaker then grabs the arm twist, and does the ropes walk, crashing down with a fist on Nash!! Taker goes for a cover but Nash powers out at one!!! Taker hits the ropes and flattens Nash with a flying clothesline, and then floowls it up with a leg drop, but that only gets a one count as well!!!!

Taker rises to his feet first as does Nash, but Nash surprises the Undertaker as he flattens him with a massive clothesline!!!! Nash then hits the ropes and drops a leaping elbow across Taker’s chest, but a cover only gets a one count!!!!


Nash pulls Undertaker up by his hair and hits a Sidewalk Slam!!!!!! Cover once again gets a one count and Nash is getting angry as he kicks the Undertaker down to the mat and then mounts him and just starts pounding on Taker with brutual punches!!!! Nash covers and once again only gets a one count!!!!


Nash is frustrated, pulls Taker to his feet and locks in a bearhug!!!! After several minutes Taker fights his way out of the Bearhug, whips Nash into the ropes and hits a big boot that staggers Big Daddy Cool!!!! Taker tries to scoop Nash up for the Tombstone, but Nash is able to slide out behind the Undertaker and freaking creams him with a clothesline to the back of the skull!!!! Nash pulls Undertaker up and sets him up for the JackKnife Powerbomb, but Undertaker back drops out of it!!!!


Back to their feet, Undertaker grabs a chokehold on Nash, trying to set up for a chokeslam, but Nash quickly kicks Undertaker in the gut to break it!!! Nash fires off a series of punches that backs Undertaker against the ropes and then hits a clothesline that sends Taker over the top to the arena floor!!!


But Taker lands on his feet and quickly grabs Nash’s ankle and drags him out of the ring!!! The two mammoths start to trade punches on the floor until Nash bashes Taker’s head into the ring apron and then knees him in the gut!!!! Nash sets Taker up FOR A JACK KNIFE ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR!!!!



Joey Styles: If Nash hits this he’ll end the Undertaker’s career!!!


Nash tries for the Powerbomb, but Taker somehow reverses it and Nash’s back cracks the hard concrete floor!!!!! Undertaker quickly rolls into the ring and when Nash rises to his feet, UNDERTAKER LAUNCHES HIMSELF OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A PLANCHA THE TAKES NASH COMPLETELY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both men are extremely slow to get up, with Taker being the first to rise. Referee Bill Alfonso has reached an 8 count as Undertaker starts to climb into the ring, but Nash stops him!!! After discussing the situation with the NWA Championship Comitee and receiving advice from several former NWA World Heavyweight Champions, we have made the following ruling:


At Starcade, Kevin Nash and The Undertaker will battle in a No Countout, No Disqualification match. The winner of that match will then later that same night face whomever wins Division 1, and the winner of that match will be crowned the NWA World Heavyweight Champion.


Also at Starcade, we have sanctioned a one on one match between Ron Summons and Big Bubba Rogers, as well as ordered a one night 4 team tag team tournament, with the winners of that tournament being crowned NWA World Tag Team Champions. Joey Styles: What a blockbuster announcement by Dory Funk Jr!!!! Starcade is shaping up to be a hell of a card, but don’t look passed tonight’s Wednesday Night Warriors, because tonight, Ted Dibiase will try and win Division 1 and all he has to do is defeat or tie the Kid here tonight!!!

Also tonight, Sabu and Ricky Steamboat will meet in a final division 1 match up, and while neither man has a chance to go to Starcade, it is important that they wrestle because however they finish the tournament will help decide rankings for future title shots.



Plus we will get reactions from both The Undertaker and Kevin Nash regarding their match and here from Bret Hart, who right now has 6 points in division 1 and has to hope that The Kid, who hasn’t won a match yet in the tournament, can somehow pull off what many think would be a colossal upset over Dibiase tonight, in order for Bret to go to Starcade to wrestle for the NWA World Title!! Now lets go up to the ring for our first match!!!!

Tatanka and The Patriot vs. The Orient Express

Tatanka and the Patriot have only been teaming a short time, but are really starting to gel, however tonight they meet the well seasoned veteran team of Pat Tanaka and Kato. The Orients get the early lead by surprising the babyfaces with stereo superkicks!!!!


They then toss The Patriot out of the ring and start to work over Tatanka. Their tandem offense is too much for Tatanka to overcome, the Orients make quick tags in and out, keeping a fresh man in at all times and hitting tons of double team moves like a Double Russian Legsweep, a double vertical suplex, and several others. Pat gets a close two count of Tanaka after a Super Kick, German Suplex with Bridge combo!!!!!

After several nearfalls, Tatanka begins to make the comeback, breaking into a war dance and no selling all of Kato’s offense before dropping Kato with a fall away slam!!!!! Tatanka slowly crawls to the corner and makes the hot tag to the Patriot who cleans house on the Orients, Kato and Pat Tanaka try to throw everything at The Patriot, but the masked man will not be stopped!!! The Patriot puts an exclamation point on it when he PRESS SLAMS KATO OUT OF THE RING!!!!!!! Patriot then catches Pat Tanaka in a Full Nelson and turns it into a Full Nelson Slam that leads to the 1-2-3!!!!!!



Joey Styles: A big win for the team of Tatanka and The Patriot, who I know for a fact still have an issue with Kevin Sullivan and his crew. Speaking of Kevin Sullivan and his brood, Sabu and The Tazmaniac, will be a part of the NWA World Tag Title Tournament, along with The Smoking Gunns, The Bruise Brothers, and the team that is with Missy Hyatt right now, Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas!!!

Missy Hyatt : Thank you Joey, I am here with Shane Douglas and Ricky Steamboat, who will be in the NWA World Tag Title Tournament at Starcade, but first Ricky, you have a match here tonight, against Sabu!!!!

Sabu rolls Steamboat into the ring and referee Peewee Moore calls for the bell. Sabu climbs the top rope, sailing off with a Leg Drop!!! Sabu makes the cover!!!!!

Sabu doesn’t let up the pressure, pouncing right on Steamboat as soon as Steamboat kicks out. Sabu keeps Steamboat off balance with a series of unorthodox highflying moves. Sabu makes a big mistake however, when he tries to trade chops with Steamboat!!!!!

Joey Styles: No one in this business has ever chopped harder that Ricky Steamboat!!!

Sabu gets the short end of the stick as Steamboat chops Sabu across the ring and clear out of it. Sabu tries to regroup with Sullivan on the outside, but while he is doing so, Steamboat hits the ropes and lauches himself over the top with a plancha on both Sullivan and Sabu!!!!

Joey Styles: A little payback for The Dragon for what Sabu pulled earlier in the match!!!!

Douglas makes sure The Tazmaniac stays back as Steamboat rolls Sabu back into the ring, but when Steamboat makes the cover, he only gets a 2 count.

Steamboat is now on the offensive working Sabu over, Steamboat though doesn’t break out his own high flying arsenal, he instead goes to work on Sabu’s legs!!!!

Joey Styles: A smart move by The Dragon, if he takes Sabu’s legs away from him, Sabu cannot fly around the ring!!! It takes 90% of Sabu’s offense away from him!

Steamboat looks like he is fully in control when he whips Sabu into the corner, climbs the turnbuckles and starts to rain punches down on Sabu’s head as the crowd counts along!!! Once Steamboat reaches 10 he stops punching Sabu and uses a flying head scissors to bring Sabu out of the corner, Steamboat then quickly moves in and locks in THE FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK!!!!! Sabu is screaming but is refusing to give up, after a couple of minutes with Sabu trapped in the hold Joey Styles informs us that we have to take a commercial break!!!!

Sullivan and Douglas are brawling outside of the ring and Sullivan bashes Douglas’ head into the ringpost, busting Douglas wide open!!!!! In the ring Sabu and The Tazmaniac are putting the boots to Steamboat. Sullivan pulls a TABLE out from under the ring and slides it into the ring. Tazmaniac starts to set the table up as Sabu climbs to the top rope!!! Sullivan climbs into the ring and helps Tazmaniac roll Steamboat onto the table!!! Sabu launches himself off the top with a moonsault and PUTS RICKY STEAMBOAT THROUGH THE TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steamboat is lying in the remains of the table as Douglas is bleeding on the floor!!!! Tatanka and The Patriot armed with steel chairs coming rushing out to the ring. Sullivan and his brood bail out as The Patriot screams for medical attention for Ricky Steamboat!!! Styles sends us to the back as EMT’s rush to the ring with a backboard!!

Missy Hyatt: Did you see what Sabu just did ?

Kevin Nash: Do you think I care? All that means is another so called pretender to the NWA Title is out of the way. Kevin Nash only cares about one man, and that’s Kevin Nash.

Now I heard the ruling, I heard that now I have to wrestle not once but twice in one night in order to become the NWA World Champion. Yeah, they stacked the deck against Big Daddy Cool, but when you stack the deck, I turn over the table!!!! Undertaker, at Starcade I am going to JackKnife you straight through the ring!!!! And then, it doesn’t matter who I have to face, I am going to walk out of Starcade with the NWA World Title!!!!


Back at ringside, Steamboat has refused to be strapped onto the backboard, and is being helped to the back by Tatanka and the Patriot as Shane Douglas is being helped by the EMT’s as he holds a towel against his head. Joey Styles wonders what this will mean for Steamboat and Douglas at Starcade. Joey says when we come back, we will talk with Bret “The Hitman” Hart!!!

Missy Hyatt: Bret Hart, you have finished with all your matches in the tournament and you have to wait now and see what happens in the main event, aren’t you nervous?

Bret Hart: No I am not nervous Missy Hyatt, because I know there is nothing else I can do about it. But I also know that Ted Dibiase has to beat The Kid, in the center of that ring, and I know first hand how hard that is to do. This isn’t going to be an easy win for Ted Dibiase no matter what the odds makers say. But I will say this, I have talked to Ron Simmons and we will have our eye on that match and if Mike Rotunda or Big Bubba Rogers try and get involved we will be there to ………..escort……………..them back to the locker room.


Missy Hyatt: There you have it Joey, Bret Hart thinks that the Kid is going to beat Ted Dibiase tonight!!!



The Bruise Brothers and Tommy Rich vs. Bob Holly, Steve Armstrong, Jesse James Armstrong

The Bruise Brothers rush into the ring and attack their three opponents as Rich strolls down the aisle badmouthing and arguing with the fans!!! Eli gives a big boot to Steve Armstrong and sends him flying over the top rope to the floor. Bob Holly and Jesse James try and brawl with the Brothers, but come up short, Jesse James gets chokeslammed out of his boots!! Bob Holly gets whipped into the ropes and gets crushed by a double spinebuster. Steve Armstrong jumps back in the ring and tries to rush The Brothers but they are ready and beat him down then double press slam him out of the ring onto his brother Jesse James. The Bruise Brothers then hit Bob Holly with a Double Powerbomb just as Tommy Rich strolls into the ring and makes the cover for the 1-2-3!!!!!! Tommy Rich jumps up and starts celebrating like he just won the NWA World Title



Joey Styles: Look at that schmuck, HE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING!!!! I am going to go on record right now and say that The Bruise Brothers HAVE to be the favorites to win the NWA World Tag Titles at Starcade. Fans for the last two weeks we have been getting video tapes from one James J Dillon who claims to have found the wrestler who he will lead to the NWA World Title and who will dominate the sport for the next several decades. Well Mr. Dillon has sent us a third video tape, lets take a look at it now.


JJ is sitting at his desk puffing on his cigar. In front of him is several TV’s some are showing the action from NWA Wednesday Night Warriors, others the world news, and others are watching the stock markets.

Smoking Gunns vs. TNT and Crash The Terminator



The Smoking Gunns have been incredibly impressive since the NWA Launched, and because of that they will be taking part in the NWA World Tag Title Tournament at Starcade. Here they face the masked TNT, a legend in the Carribean wrestling scene and Crash The Terminator a young man who has been making quite a name for himself on the independent scene. TNT AND Crash are heavy handed brawlers and try and punch it out with the Gunns, they do take an early lead, and try and play keep away with Bart, but when Crash tries to whip TNT into Bart in the corner, Bart explodes out and connect with a running lariat that turns TNT inside out!!! Crash tries to rush Bart and Bart catches him with a Powerslam before leaping toward the corner and tagging out to Billy!!!


Billy unloads punches on both men before dumping Crash out of the ring and the hitting a Rocker Dropper on TNT, Billy makes a cover, but only gets a two count!!!! Billy starts to go to work on TNT hitting a vertical suplex where he holds TNT in the air for several seconds before dropping him, then a belly to back suplex, followed by a swinging neckbreaker, but even after all of that he once again only gets a two count!!!! Billy whips TNT into the ropes and drops his head for a backdrop, but TNT leapfrogs Billy and then catches him with a Spin Kick!!!!!!


TNT is quick to tag out to Crash who pounds on Billy some before dropping him to the mat with a front slam!!! Crash points to the ropes and climbs up!!! CRASH LAUNCHES HIMSELF OFF WITH A 350 POUND MOONSAULT!!!!

The Kid pulls Dibiase to his feet and hits a Northern Lights Suplex with a bridge, but only gets a two count again!!! The Kid whips Dibiase into the ropes and hits a Hurricanrana!!!! Cover once again only gets a two count!!!

The Kid hits a snap suplex on Ted Dibiase and then quickly goes to the top ropes and launches himself off with a splash, but Dibiase gets his knees up!!!! The Kid connects with Dibiase’s knees and starts to roll around the ring in obvious pain!!!!! Dibiase gets to his feet and SLAPS THE INJURED KID ACROSS THE FACE!!!!!!! Dibiase is red faced and angry as he rips The Kid off the mat and hits a violent gutwrench suplex!!!!! Dibiase goes for the cover, but only gets a two count!!! Back from the break and Ted Dibiase is using the top rope for extra leverage!!!! The fans are going nuts, but Alfonso doesn’t see it at first, finally after three times he does and kicks Dibiase’s hand off, which allows the Kid to hip toss Dibiase to escape the stretch!!!! The Kid tries to follow up, but is really slowed from pain!!!! Dibiase quickly reverses and Irish Whip and powerslams The Kid, but only gets a two count on the following pin attempt. Dibiase is irate and is screaming at Alfonso. Dibiase then goes to kicking at the Kid, he just kicks and kicks and kicks at the Kid until the Kid falls out of the ring!!!!

Dibiase tells Alfonso to count!!! Alfonso gets to 6 and The Kid looks like he is about to get back in the ring, so Dibiase breaks the count, slides out of the ring and bodyslams The Kid on the concrete floor!!! Dibiase rolls back into the ring and orders Alfonso to count again!!! Alfonso gets to 7 and The Kid is trying to climb back into the ring!!! Dibiase breaks the count again, slides out of the ring and hits a gutwrench suplex on the concrete floor!!! Dibiase rolls back in and once again orders Alfonso to count!!

Styles says for the last several years another so called wrestling promotion tried to present Starcade, but their offerings paled in comparision to what the NWA presented since 1983!!!! Styles says tonight we will see the greatest wreslters in the world due battle. Tonight 4 teams will go to war to decide which team will wear the Tag Team Championships. And then the big one, The Undertaker and Kevin Nash will meet, and the winner will go on to face Bret Hart later tonight, and the winner of that match will be crowned the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion!!!!!!

Dibiase climbs in the ring and Styles asks him what he is doing here, he doesn’t have a match tonight!!!! Dibiase says that is correct, and it’s something he means to change right now, that is, if BRET HART has any guts!!!!! Dibiase says it is unfair for THE UNDERTAKER and KEVIN NASH to have to wrestle twice in one night, but Bret only has to wrestle once! Dibiase says he knows no matter what Bret will be in the main event and will battle for the NWA World Title, but Dibiase challenges Bret to face him 1 on 1, no stipulation, no bearing on the world title match, just a one on one match to see who the better man is, and to be fair to The Undertaker and Kevin Nash!! Styles says he is sure Missy Hyatt is looking for Bret right now to get his answer. Styles says it is time for Starcade 1993 to begin!!!!!

We then fade back to the ring, where the theme to Halloween is playing and KEVIN SULLIVAN is leading his team of SABU and THE TAZMANIAC to the ring for our opening match, not only in Starcade, but in the NWA World Tag Title Tournament!!!! Next, Sirius by the Alan Parson’s Project begins to play and out comes SHANE DOUGLAS and Former NWA World Heavyweight Champion RICKY “THE DRAGON” STEAMBOAT!!!!!!!! Styles says Steamboat and Douglas have had World Tag Team Gold before, and are the only team in the tournament to ever hold World Tag Straps in any company. Steamboat makes sure to make the rounds all around the ring and high five every fan he can while Douglas, totally serious, enters the ring and stares down his opponents. Bob Artese makes the ring introductions, and introduces the referee as BILL ALFONSO before calling for the bell to kick the action off!!!

QUARTER FINALS:
SABU AND THE TAZMANIAC WITH KEVIN SULLIVAN
VS.
RICKY “THE DRAGON” STEAMBOAT AND SHANE DOUGLAS

Douglas and Tazmaniac start out for their team and quickly go to ground trading holds. Styles sings the praises of both men and says it would not surprise him to see the two men fighting for the NWA World Title itself at Starcade in a few years! After trading holds and quick pin attemps on the mat for several minutes both men find themselves face to face at a vertical base. Styles says we just saw more wrestling in 5 minutes then most promotions give us in 5 months!!!! Both men make the tag to their respective partners and Joey says while Steamboat and Sabu are as different as night and day, both like to take it to the sky, so the pace is about to pick up!! Styles wasn’t joking as Steamboat and Sabu kick it into high gear!!! Steamboat hits a few of his patented deep arm drags, but Sabu quickly rolls out of them and then just as quickly catches Steamboat with a Leg Lariat. Not to be outdone, Steamboat breaks out several dropkicks that back Sabu against the ropes and then hits a corssbody block that sends both tumbling out of the ring to the floor!!!!! That doesn’t stop them however as they quickly get to their feet and start to trade punches!! Sabu gets the upper hand and body slams Steamboat on the concrete floor!!! Sabu then climbs onto the ring apron and launches himself off with an Asai Moonsault that connects!!!!

Sabu rolls Steamboat back in the ring and then hits a springboard splash!!! The cover only gets two, and Sabu tries to go back on the offensive, but after taking several minutes of punishment Steamboat finds a way to backdrop Sabu out of the ring over the top rope!!!! Steamboat then hits the ropes and hits a plancha on Sabu!!!!! Steamboat rolls Sabu into the ring, but only gets a two count. Steamboat then makes the tag to Shane Douglas and the two whip Sabu into the ropes and hit a double hiptoss, followed by a double elbow drop. But Douglas’ cover only gets a two count. Douglas then hits a Fisherman Suplex with Bridge, but that also only gets a two count. Douglas keeps pouring on the punishment but it does nothing to put Sabu away. Sabu then is able to get his knees up after Douglas whips him into the corner. Douglas charges right into Sabu’s knees and the tide turns!!!

Sabu and The Tazmaniac are now on offense, working Douglas over. The two madmen tag in and out as Sullivan barks his orders, after several minutes of punishment Sabu tries to rip a submission out of Douglas with the Camel Clutch, but Douglas survives the torture long enough for Sabu to give up and release the hold. The Tazmaniac then comes in and after hitting several suplex variations tries for pin attempts, but none of them come through. A frustrated Sabu tags himself back in, and after several failed pin attempts of his own including one where Douglas kicked out a millsecond before the referee slapped the mat for a third time after a top rope moonsault by Sabu. The frustration level grew so high that it caused Sabu to get sloppy and Douglas was able to reverse and Irish whip and catch Sabu with an explosive Belly to Belly Suplex. That might have been able to get the win for the Douglas/Steamboat team, but Douglas was so spent he was unable to make the cover.

Douglas began the long slow crawl to the corner, where Steamboat is waiting, hand outstretched for the tag!! Sabu also is slowly trying to get to his corner to the Tazmaniac, Sabu makes it first, but the Tazmaniac is not quick enough to stop Douglas from getting the hot tag and bringing in a charged up Dragon!!!!! Steamboat flattens The Tazmaniac with a chop, Sabu tries to rush Steamboat and gets backdropped over the top rope to the floor!!!!! Steamboat and The Tazmaniac then go at it!!!! Steamboat hits a rapid series of moves, suplexes. Chops and slams, before he and Tazmaniac start trading pinfalls and reversals, each time one gets a pin attempt the other reverses it into a pin attempt of their own. This goes on and on, exhausting Joey Styles until Steamboat catches The Tazmaniac in a Double Chicken Wing!!!!!


It looks like The Tazmaniac is about to submit when Sabu slides into the ring and clips Steamboat’s knee from behind!!!!! Bill Alfonso reprimands Sabu and forces him out of the ring. The Tazmaniac gets to his feet and hits an explosive head and arm Tazplex on Steamboat before tagging out to Sabu. Sabu jumps into the ring and quickly drops a knee across Steamboat’s chest, but only gets a two count. Sabu points to the sky, climbs the top rope and tries for moonsault, but Steamboat gets his knees up at the last possible second!!!! Steamboat then quickly covers Sabu!!! The Tazmaniac tries to break it up but Shane Douglas intercepts him and Steamboat is able to get the 1-2-3 for the win!!!! Steamboat and Douglas advance to the finals of the Tag Team Tournament and Steamboat gets a little revenge of Sabu for Sabu putting him through a table last week on WNW!!!!

Joey Styles send us backstage to Missy Hyatt who is with Bret Hart!!!!! Bret says he did hear Ted Dibiase’s challenge and he accepts it!!!!! Hart says he’ll shut Dibiase’s mouth once and for all tonight and then go on and win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship because he is the best there is, the best there ever was and the best there ever will be!!!!!!


Mr. Wallstreet Mike Rotunda is already in the ring when we return to the arena. Joey Styles says that this match was signed as a result of Rotunda taking part of the attack on The Kid on Wednesday Night Warriors.

And that music can only mean The Kid is on his way to the ring!!! Styles says The Kid may not be the biggest wrestler in the game today but he is damn sure the most exciting and innovative!! He promises that this will be a match for the ages!!!

MR. WALLSTREET MIKE ROTUNDA

Referee Pee Wee Anderson calls for the bell and we are off!!! Rotunda pulls out the Larry Zbyszko routine and tries to stall when The Kid tries to lock up, finally when he does act like he will lock up he instead rakes The Kid’s eyes!!!! Rotunda’s strategy is evident early as he pounds and grounds The Kid on the mat. Rotunda stretches The Kid trying to pull a submission from him, but The Kid isn’t the kind of person that quits easy!! Rotunda refuses to let the Kid get back to a vertical base, every time he tries Rotunda finds a way, mostly illegally, to bring The Kid back to the mat. Rotunda gets a couple of near falls, but struggles to find a way to put the Kid away.

The Kid finally breaks away and picks the pace up, he fires a lightning quick succession of dropkicks that rocks Rotunda, and then knocks Rotunda out of the ring with a roundhouse kick!!!! As Rotunda slowly gets to his feet The Kid shows why he is one of the most breathtaking wrestlers in the world as he hits a sommersault plancha on Rotunda!!!! The Kid rolls his opponent back into the ring, climbs the ropes and hits a Flying Legdrop off the top rope!!! But somehow when The Kid covers, Rotunda kicks out at two!!! The Kid is pumping his fists trying to fire up the crowd. Rotunda pulls himself to his feet using the ropes. The Kid rushes at Rotunda and at the last minute Rotunda pulls the top rope down and The Kid spills over the top to the floor!!!! Rotunda points to his head to taunt the crowd about how smart he is!

Rotunda goes out of the ring to the Kid, but doesn’t toss him back in right away instead bodyslamming The Kid on the cold hard concrete. Joey Styles says there are no pretty blue mats around these rings!!!! Rotunda rolls into the ring to break the count, but then rolls out of the ring to continue the punishment. This time Rotunda slams The Kid’s head into the outside ring barrier!!!! Rotunda then finally rolls The Kid into the ring, hits a butterfly suplex and makes the cover, but The Kid kicks out at the very last possible second!!!! Rotunda is flabbergasted and tries to pin The Kid a second time, and for a second time the Kid kicks out!!!! Rotunda yells at Pee Wee Moore and then peels The Kid off the mat and whips him into the ropes. Rotunda tries for a clothesline, but The Kid ducks, Rotunda tries for a backdrop, but The Kid leapfrogs him, Rotunda tries for a clothesline again, but this time instead of ducking The Kid leaps into the air and hooks Rotunda with a Crucifix!!!! Rotunda’s shoulders are on the mat!!! 1-2-3!!!!! The Kid does it!!!!!

The Kid quickly bails out of the ring as Rotunda freaks out, he is holding three fingers up asking Moore what happened and Moore says it was a three count. Rotunda swings at Moore who ducks and quickly escapes out of the ring. Rotunda has a fit in the ring, kicking the bottom rope several times!!!! Styles sends us to the back to Missy Hyatt who is with Tatanka!!


Tatanka’s face is covered in face paint, a different look than we have seen from him. Missy asks Tatanka about his match tonight with Kevin Sullivan and if he is worried about Sabu or The Tazmaniac interfering. Tatanka says he isn’t worried at all because Commisioner Dory Funk Jr. has assured him that if ANYONE interferes in the match they will be suspended from wrestling in the NWA. Tatanka says that Sabu and The Tazmaniac probably don’t want to show their faces anyway after what went down at the beginning of the night. Tatanka says that he has been at War with Sullivan since the NWA relaunched. Tatanka says he has the War Paint on tonight and tonight he will end the War by putting Sullivan out!!!! Tatanka gives a war cry before running off.


Tatanka’s music is playing in the arena as he runs, Ultimate Warrior style, down the aisle and slides into the ring. Tatanka breaks out into a full blown war dance in the middle of the ring until the theme from Halloween starts to play, signaling the arrival of Kevin Sullivan. Sullivan slowly walks to the ring, and just as slowly climbs into it.

KEVIN SULLIVAN

We have seen some great technical wrestling and high flying so far tonight, this match featured none of that. Sullivan and Tatanka went right for the kill, brawling all over the ring and around it, slamming each other into anything they could. Tatanka looked like a man possessed, no matter what Sullivan threw at Tatanka it didn’t slow him down one iota!!! Tatanka looked well on his way to fulfilling his promise of putting Sullivan out when Sullivan turned the tables. Tatanka had Sullivan in the corner and was raining punches down on his head when Sullivan lowblowd him!!! Sullivan then hooked Tatanka’s legs, took two steps forward and dropped Tatanka with a modified Stun Gun that saw Tatanka’s head crack the turnbuckle post!!!!! When Sullivan pulled Tatanka’s head up off the mat it was a proverbial Crimson Mask!!!! Sullivan went right to work targeting the cut, opening it wider and wider until you could barely make out Tatanka’s facial features under the thick coating of blood!!!! Sullivan even put Tatanka in the tree of woe and kicked him in the head several times. After hitting a double stomp on Tatanka’s stomach, Sullivan pinned the Native American, but somehow Tatanka kicked out. Sullivan just climbed on Tatanka’s chest and started bashing him in the head repeatedly with punches. Tatanka was getting massacred and Joey Styles was asking that the match be ended. Sullivan then locked Tatanka in the Boston Crab. Tatanka didn’t even try to fight it and referee Bill Alfonso wuickly called for the bell, ending the match because Tatanka was unresponsive.

Once the bell rung Sullivan released the Boston Crab. Styles was saying that EMT’s should probably check on Tatanka who at the very least may need several stitches and at worst may need a blood transfusion when Sullivan went over to his robe in the corner and pulled out a GOLDEN SPIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Styles was yelling for someone to stop this as Sullivan tossed Alfonso to the mat and then STUCK THE SPIKE IN TATANKA’S HEAD!!!!!!!!


Styles yelled for the camera to pull away, which it quickly did, giving us a very wide shot of the arena!!!! The Patriot, The Kid, Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas all came running to the rescue. Sullivan retreated when the babyfaces hit the ring, but the damage was done. The Patriot wrapped a towel around his partner’s head to try and stop the bleeding while The Kid and Shane signaled for the EMT’s to come help. Styles then wuickly sent us to the back and Missy Hyatt in order to get us away from the carnage!!!!


Missy is with Billy and Bart, The Smoking Gunns and she says she has never seen anything like that, how could someone do something like that??? Bart says he has no idea and he can’t believe anyone would be that sick. Billy says he knows Missy wants to ask them about their NWA World Tag Title Tournament match with the Bruise Brothers but that isn’t something they can really talk about right now, because they are more concerned about their friend Tatanka. Bart says Sullivan is going to pay for this and they walk off to check on Tatanka.

We return to the back and Missy Hyatt who says they are still trying to clean up the ring. Missy is joined by “Big Daddy Cool” Kevin Nash. Nash says he doesn’t understand why people are so upset about this, Tatanka is a big boy, he knew what he was getting into when he signed for the match. This is professional wrestling, not flag football!!! Anything goes in professional wrestling, and if you can’t take it go play baseball or something. When Missy asks Nash about Hart facing Dibiase tonight, Nash says he doesn’t care about it. He is going to put The Undertaker down and then he will put Bret out, and it wouldn’t have mattered if Bret had wrestled Dibiase or not. Nash does say that Bret better not try and use the match with Dibiase as an excuse when he loses tonight. Nash says tomorrow morning, when he goes to bed, he’ll do so as the World Heavyweight Champion!



We finally go back to the arena where Joey Styles still cannot believe what Kevin Sullivan has done. Styles says they finally got the ring cleaned up the best they can, and Tatanka has been rushed to a local hospital.

You can tell the Gunns are a little distracted early, as they are concerned for their friend Tatanka. The Bruise Brothers have been rolling through teams in less than a minute since the NWA relaunched, but that isn’t the case here!!! The Smoking Gunns are a little slow out of the box, but once they get rolling we are treated to quite a match! Billy and Bart throw everything they have at Jacob and Eli and they almost get the victory after Billy hits a Rocker Dropper on Eli, but Jacob breaks it up. That leads to the match turning into complete anarchy as all four men end up in the ring going at it tooth and nail. Bart ends up catching a big boot to the face by Jacob and as Eli clotheslines Billy out of the ring, he grabs Bart along with Jacob and they hit the double powerbomb. On the outside, Parker keeps Billy from getting into the ring to break up the count!!!! Billy slugs Parker and jumps into the ring, but gets there a split second too late as referee Paul Diamond slaps the mat the third time, giving the win to the Bruise Brothers.

Joey Styles says now we know the two teams that will face each other for the NWA World Tag Titles later tonight, with The Bruise Brothers advancing to face Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas. Joey sends us to the locker room and Missy Hyatt who is with Paul Bearer and The Undertaker


Paul Bearer says that the time has come for Nash to pay the Reaper. Undertaker says that Nash was very lucky to survive their match several weeks ago, tonight will be different, tonight Nash will Rest In Peace. Then Undertaker says he has nothing against Bret Hart, but Bret is standing between him and the NWA World Title, and that Taker says means that Hart will also have to stare into the eyes of death tonight.


Steve Armstrong is warming up in the ring when James J Dillon makes his way down the aisle. Dillon climbs into the ring and takes the microphone from Bob Artese. Dillon says he searched the globe to find the man who would dominates the sport for the next several decades, and tonight he unleashes him onto the world. Dillon tells the people to rise as he introduces Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Joey Styles says that Dillon was true to his word and brought someone new to the ring, not some failed wrestler being repackaged. Styles says it will be interesting to see what this Helmsley character does against the veteran Steve Armstrong.

Helmsley is impressive as he is able to trade holds with Steve Armstrong. Styles says that Armstrong is no slouch and has won multiple tag titles all over the United States. Helmsley shows that Dillon’s faith in him is no unjustified as he turns on the afterburners and takes over the match after catching Armstrong with a flying knee lift. Helmsley never looks back as he takes Armstrong apart before forcing him to submit to an inverted Indian Deathlock. Styles says that Helmsley may very well be the real deal.

Paul Bearer leads the Undertaker ever so slowly to the ring. Taker does his theatrics to bring the lights back on. Taker then climbs into the ring and stares across the ring at Nash, who doesn’t look phased at all.

When the bell rings The Undertaker makes the throat slashing gesture at Nash. Nash shakes his head as if it doesn’t matter and then does it right back at The Undertaker!!!! Styles says that Nash may not be the most gifted technical wrestler in the world, but he has a pair of brass balls on him. The two lock up in the middle of the ring and go into a typical big man match. As they trade punches, big boots, and bear hugs. Styles talks about how much punishment these men are dishing out to each other. After about 10 minutes Undertaker whips Nash into the corner and charges after him, but Nash explodes out with a clothesline that flattens Taker. Nash then drops Taker face first across the top turnbuckle with a Snake Eyes before trying for a cover, but he only gets a two count.

Nash pulls Undertaker up and looks like he is setting up for the Jackknife, but Taker blocks in and backdrops Nash! Nash pulls himself up close to the ropes, and Undertaker hits a running clothesline that sends Nash over the top ropes and out of the ring. As Nash rises to his feet on the outside, Undertaker hits the ropes and launches himself out of the ring with a suicide plancha!!!!! Taker connects and both men are down and out on the concrete floor. Joey Styles quickly reminds us that this is how the match ended between Taker and Nash last time, with both getting counted out when Nash grabbed Taker’s foot and refused to let him in the ring. Taker seems to have learned from the earlier match as he rolls Nash back into the ring. Taker makes a cover, but only gets a two count.


Taker then pulls Nash up, climbs the ropes and does the rope walk followed by leaping punch. Another cover only gets a two count. Taker tries to whip Nash into the ropes, but Nash reverses it and tries to take Taker’s head off when he swings wildly with a clothesline, but Taker ducks and then connects with a leaping clothesline of his own. Taker then rises to his feet, does the throat slash to signal that he is going for the Tombstone Piledriver. Taker grabs Nash and starts to pull him up, but Nash shoves Taker as hard as he can and Taker stumbles backward, smashing referee Bill Alfonso between him and the turnbuckle!!!!

Styles is yelling the Alfonso is down and asking for another referee to come down, but that’s not what rushes to the ring, instead it’s Sabu, The Tazmaniac and Kevin Sullivan?!?!?!?!?!? Styles is wondering why in the hell these three maniacs would be out here. Tazmaniac slides into the ring, but the Undertaker takes him out with a boot to the face, Sabu jumps off the top rope, but Undertaker catches him and chokeslams him. Taker then turns his attention to Sullivan but as he reaches for Sullivan

Styles is screaming that Sullivan is insane!!!! Sullivan quickly rolls out of the ring and retreats with Sabu and The Tazmaniac as The Undertaker rolls around the ring in pain. Nash capitalizes by grabbing the injured Undertaker and Jackknife Powerbombing him in the center of the ring!!! Nash grabs the limp Alfonso and drags him over. Nash covers Taker and shoves Alfonso who slowly makes the three count!!!!! Styles yells that Nash has stolen this one, but why did Sullivan help Nash??

Joey Styles is shocked by what just happened and says that Nash is going to face Bret Hart for the NWA World Heavyweight Title, but that he didn’t do it on his own!! Styles sends us to the back and to Missy Hyatt who is with Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas.

The Dragon cannot believe what he just saw, he wonders when will enough be enough and when will Dory Funk Jr. do something about this madness? Sabu has been putting people through tables, Sullivan tried to kill Tatanka tonight with a golden spike, and now he has tried to set The Undertaker on fire. Steamboat says that there isn’t a place for stuff like that in wrestling. Steamboat also gives a quick update on Tatanka, saying that the Patriot rode with his partner to the hospital, but the injuries to Tatanka do not look good. Douglas then quickly changes the subject to talk about their match coming up with the Bruise Brothers.


Douglas says how it is HIS-er their destiny to become World Champions. Douglas says that no matter what the Bruise Brothers throw at them they can take it, and they will give it right back. Douglas says tonight is the nigh The Bruise Brothers get their asses handed to them for a change!!!!!


Back in the arena Joey Styles is talking about the fireball and shows a replay of Sullivan throwing it a couple of times. Styles is just completely shocked about what has happened. He says that something has to be done about Sullivan who has gotten more and more blood thirsty and sadistic as the weeks have gone by. Styles then shows us a replay of Dibiase’s challenge to Bret Hart earlier tonight and talks about how much guts it takes for Bret to accept this match, a match he didn’t train or prepare for, on the same night he will be trying to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Styles is interrupted as Ted Dibiase’s music begins to play, signaling that the Million Dollar Man is on is way to the ring.

As Dibiase heads to the ring, Styles reminds everyone that no matter what happens here, unlike the Taker-Nash match, Bret Hart will go on to face Nash for the NWA World Heavyweight Title later tonight, win lose or draw. As soon as Dibiase is in the ring, Bret’s music starts and The Hitman makes his way out to a thunderous ovation. Bret high fives the fans on his way down the aisle before sliding into the ring. Bret does none of his customary prematch posing as he simply settles in the corner, removes his jacket and glasses and prepares to face Dibiase.

“THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN” TED DIBIASE

BRET “THE HITMAN” HART

Bret and Dibiase are no strangers to each other as Joey relates that Bret holds a pinfall victory over Dibiase in a 6 man Tag Match, but Dibiase holds a singles title victory over Bret in the NWA World Title Tournament and had Bret not called the referee’s attention to Dibiase’s use of a forgien object in Dibiase’s match with The Kid, it would have been Dibiase facing Nash tonight for the NWA World Title and not Bret. Neither man is interested in rushing this as they are slow to lock up. They trade pretty pedestrian holds to start, trying to feel each other out and trying to make the other one slip up.

Bret is able to finally start bouncing Dibiase around the ring, first with headlock takeovers, then with armdraags and finally with a dropkick that sends Dibiase flying. Dibiase quickly rolls out of the ring and TRIES TO CALL FOR A TIMEOUT?!?!?!?!!? Styles says this isn’t football or basketball you can’t call a time out in wrestling!!! Dibiase slowly circles the ring, sticks his head back through the ropes to break the count, but then quickly drops to the floor again and walks. Bret finally has enough after Dibiase pulls this routine several times. Bret jumps out of the ring and chase Dibiase, who rolls in and then starts to kick at Bret as Bret rolls back in. Dibiase’s ploy obviously worked! Dibiase kicks at Bret several times before pulling him to his feet, whipping him into the ropes and hitting a powerslam!!! Dibiase holds on for the cover, but only gets a one count and Styles says that Dibiase should have known better. What follows is a series of nearfalls as Dibiase tries for a cover after manuvearing out of a head scissors, Bret powers out of that and reverses it into a backslide, Dibiade kicks out of the backslide and grabs a quick inside cradle that only gets two, a lightning fast kick to the gut and snap suplex allows Bret to float over and get a two count. A blocked hip toss by Bret is turned into a backslide by Dibiase that only gets a two count, and then Bret surprises Dibiase with a victory roll, but that only gets two as well!!!!

As we approach the 20 minute mark both men are throwing everything they have at each other, Bret hits a Russian Leg Sweep that gets a two, Dibiase hits a swinging neckbreaker that gets him a two, Bret hits a Hart Attack Clothesline from the second rope, but that only gets two, Dibiase steals his old partner Steve Williams’ Oklahoma Stampede, which once again only results in a two count. Dibiase tries to go to the top rope, for what no one knows, but is stopped by Bret and posted!!! Bret then hits his patented Superplex!!! Styles says that has to be it, but when Bret makes the cover, it only gets 2 as Dibiase just barely gets a shoulder up!!!!!! Bob Artese announces that 30 minutes have elapsed as Bret attempts the Sharpshooter, but just as Bret goes to apply the hold, Dibiase reaches up and rolls Bret up!!!! Styles screams that this is how Dibiase beat Bret the first time!!!

Dibiase throws Bret into the ropes and tries for a backdrop, but Bret turns it into a Sunset Flip that gets a two count!!!! Dibiase is backed against the ropes and Bret connects with a crossbody block that sends both men tumbling to the floor!!!! Dibiase isn’t moving as Bret yanks him up and rolls him into the ring. But just as Bret starts to climb back in Dibiase springs up rushes over and kicks the middle rope right into Bret’ nards!!!!!! Bret is doubled over and Dibiase quickly hits a DDT and makes the cover!!!

Bret sits dejected in the ring as Dibiase gloats. Styles shows several replays of the finish from several angles and concludes that he believes Bret got his foot under the bottom rope before Alfonso slapped three. Styles says that it doesn’t matter however, because Bret still will face Kevin Nash here tonight in the Main Event for the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Styles then sends us to the locker room and to Missy Hyatt who is with Dory Funk Jr.

Dory is short and to the point, as he doesn’t want to take up any more time than he has to. Dory announces that Kevin Sullivan has been suspended for 3 weeks due to his action here tonight, he says that the suspension may be longer after it has been reviewed in the coming days. Dory apologizes to all the fans for what has happened and promises to make it up to everyone very soon.


Back in the arena, Joey Styles says that for some damn reason, Tommy Rich and his manager Col. Robert Parker are in the ring, and some moron gave Rich a microphone! Rich says he is an Adonis, a greek god, and that as a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion it’s a bunch of crap that he isn’t on this card!!! Rich says he is more man than every wrassler here and challenges anyone, ANYONE in the back to come out and face him NOW!!!!!!

Styles says that he is sure Simmons will get a shot at the title in the future, but here tonight he is looking for revenge on Rogers for all that he has done.

Bubba attacks Simmons as Ron is making his way to the ring!!!!! The brawl gets started before either man even sets foot in the ring! They do finally make their way into the squared circle, allowing referee Pee Wee Moore to call for the bell, but it doesn’t mean a thing. These two just pound the snot out of each other. Moore tries to get control, but gets shoved out of the way several times by both men until they are both on the outside of the ring pounding on each other and ignoring the count. Moore has no choice but to count both men out as they start to throw things at one another!!! Simmons starts to pound on Rogers and has him backed up against the post. Simmons grabs a chair and swings with all his might, Rogers drops down at the last second and Simmons damn near wraps the chair around the ring post!!!! The two bruisers end up brawling all the way to the locker room!!!!!

Missy Hyatt is backstage with “Big Daddy Cool” Kevin Nash. Nash says he is ready to take his destiny and become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He says he doesn’t know, nor care why Kevin Sullivan got involved and it doesn’t matter that he did. All that matters is that “Big Daddy Cool” is going to grab the brass ring. Nash then says he saw Sid out here earlier using HIS Powerbomb. Nash tells Sid that if he is going to stay here in the NWA he better find another move, because no one but Nash gets to use the Powerbomb.

Col Robert Parker trails behind them as the Brothers rush toward the ring, but they nor anyone is prepared for what happens as Steamboat and Douglas both launch themselves out of the ring!!! Steamboat with a Plancha and Douglas with a Suicide Dive through the ropes at the Bruise Brothers!!!!! Styles says that this is the first time he has ever seen anyone attack the Twin Terrors first!!!!!!!!

Steamboat and Douglas aren’t going to take their early advantage lightly, they roll one of the brothers, who Styles decides is Eli, into the ring. Steamboat and Douglas try and end this one early, using quick tags in and out and isolating Eli, they use an explosive tandem offense to take away Eli’s height and strength advantage. Everything looks to be going the babyface’s way early as they keep the pressure on and use their speed to keep Eli on the mat, but Eli stll has some fight in him and stops Steamboat dead in his tracks when he surprises The Dragon with a boot to the face that damn near takes Steamboat’s head clean off!!!
Now the Brothers find themselves in familiar territory as they start to bulldoze the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion! Douglas is going insane in the corner as the Bruise Brothers heap punishment and more punishment onto Steamboat, but somehow The Dragon keeps finding a way to kick out. Steamboat goes into full sell mode making it seem like the Bruise Brothers are killing him as they toss him around the ring and batter him in the corner. All looks lost for the babyfaces when The Bruise Brothers try for a double clothesline and Steamboat, out of desperation, launches himself in the air and catches his opponents with a crossbody block!!!!!!

Douglas is practically coming out of his skin begging Steamboat to find a way to make the tag. Steamboat is on his feet, with his back against the ropes when Eli charges him and Steamboat backdrops him completely out of the ring!!!!!! Jacob tries to grab Steamboat, but The Dragon rolls past him and then leaps toward the corner and makes the tag to a fired up Shane Douglas!!!!!! Douglas goes right at Jacob and the two men are trading punches back and forth!!!!

Douglas backs Jacob into the corner and climbs the turnbuckles, Shane rains ten punches down on Jacob’s head as the fans count along with him!! After reaching ten, SHANE BITES JACOB’S FOREHEAD!!!!! Shane then pulls Jacob out of the corner and surprises everyone when he lifts Jacob into the air for a vertical suplex and holds him in the air for close to 7 second before dropping him to the mat. Styles is shocked by the show of strength by Douglas!!!! Douglas goes to make the cover, but only get 2 3/4ths as Eli jumps into the ring to break up the count!!!

The powderkeg that was building finally explodes now as Steamboat jumps back into the ring and all four men are brawling. Steamboat is asking Douglas how he knocked the big man down and Douglas is lying saying he hit the belly to belly!!!! Styles says he knows Steamboat is going to watch the video of the match, and The Dragon isn’t going to be happy that not only is Douglas lying, but that he used the Knux to get the win. Styles says this is a situation that definitely bears watching.

Styles quickly goes over everything we have seen tonight, and while it has all been amazing, nothing compares to what is about to happen. The camera then shows Dory Funk Jr. bringing the NWA World Heavyweight Title down to the ring. Styles tosses it to the back and to Missy Hyatt, who is with Bret “The Hitman” Hart.

Hart doesn’t want to cast blame on the referee for his match with Dibiase, he says Dibiase beat him, but he can’t think about that now, he has to put it in the back of his mind because he is about to climb in the ring with a 7 foot tall wrecking machine. Bret says that this is why he signed up with the NWA when he heard it was coming back, to fight for the most prestigious and most important title in wrestling history, the NWA World Title, the only Championship that can trace it’s lineage back to the turn of the century. Hart says this is what it’s all about and it makes everything else he has ever done in his career pale in comparison.

Nash and Bret lock up in the center of the ring and Nash shows his power by shoving Bret Hart backward!!! Nash puts his arms in the air and tells Bret “I can do this all day, baby.” Bret circle’s Nash again, and Nash just starts pummeling Bret Hart!!! Nash beats Hart down to the mat, rips him up and violently whips him into the corner where Bret slams chest first into the turnbuckle! Nash scoops Hart off the mat carries him across the ring and Snake Eyes Bret on the opposite turnbuckle. Nash then throws Bret out of the ring though the ropes to the concrete floor.

Nash methodically follows Bret out of the ring, scoops him up again and this time drops him throat first across the ring barrier. Nash rolls Bret back into the ring, hits the ropes and drops a BIG elbow drop across Bret’s chest. A cover only gets a 1 count. Nash then WALKS ON BRET’S CHEST!!! Styles says that is over 300 pounds walking right on top of Bret. Nash is keeping this physical, Nash is trying to dominate this match and beat Bret into oblivion. Nash hits a sidewalk slam on Bret, and this time gets a two count. Nash once again launches Bret through the ropes to the floor again!!!! Nash then whips Bret into the steel ring steps!!!! Nash scoops Bret up and slams him back first into the ring post!!! Nash rolls Bret into the ring again and climbs over the top rope to continue the punishment on Bret. Nash quickly gets to his feet and calls for the Jackknife. Nash pulls Bret up, but Bret hangs onto Nash’s leg, not letting Nash lift him into position for the Jackknife. After several attempt to pull Bret up Nsh gives up and just starts to bash Bret in the back over and over again, beating Hart down to the mat. Nash then whips Bret into the corner and follows him in with a big elbow smash. Nash continue to bash Bret over and over again with elbows in the corner. Nash backs up to the opposite corner, measures Bret and charges him, Nash tries to nail Bret with a knee, but Bret moves at the last minute and Nash’s knee crashes into the turnbuckle!!!!!

Nash hobbles out of the corner as Styles remarks that is the knee that Nash has had 9 surgires on. Bret sees his opening and starts to target the knee! Hart kicks at Nash’s knee, finally bringing Nash down to his knees. Nash is refusing to fall as Bret just unloads with punch after punch after punch. Bret finally hits the ropes and dropkicks Nash right in the mouth!!!! Nash goes down and Bret goes for the cover, but only gets a 2 count. Hart then starts the methodical breaking down of Nash’s knee. Bret works Nash’s knee over, locking on several different submission holds. Nash screams in pain, but never gets up. Hart finally decides to go for the Sharpshooter!!! Hart tries to lock it in, but Nash is fighting him and Nash wins the struggle when he rips at Bret’s eyes!!!

With Bret momentarally blinded, it allows Nash to hobble to his feet, Styles says a lesser man wouldn’t be able to walk right now!!! Bret tries to rush Nash but eats a big boot for his troubles!!!! But doing that was difficult for Nash, and he is slow to make a cover, which only gets a two count. Styles wonders if Nash had been able to go right for the pin if he would have gotten it. Nash whips Bret into the corner again and staggers after him, Bret kicks Nash in the gut and then fires off several punches. Bret pulls himself to the second turnbuckle and launches himself off with a Hart Attack Clothesline!!! Bret makes the cover!

Shot after shot onto Bret’s back before Nash rolls Hart back into the ring. Nash stalks Bret and starts to choke Bret on the mat!!!!!!! Nash signals that this is it, this is the end. Nash starts to pull Bret up, and set him up for the Jackknife, but Bret fights it and backdrops Nash!!!!

Nash is against the ropes again and Bret charges him with a clothesline and this time connects sending Nash over the top rope to the floor below!!!! Hart then hits the ropes and hits a suicide dive on Nash on the floor!!!!!!! Hart takes Nash completely out!!!! Bret rolls Nash back into the ring, slides in, climbs onto the second turnbuckle and drops a forearm onto Nash!!! Bret covers!!!!

Bret starts to work again on Nash’s knee. Nash screams out in pain again, but refuses to give up. Styles says that this is amazing because both men have already wrestled once tonight. Bret locks on a Figure Four Leglock!!!!!! Referee Bill Alfonso is right in Nash’s face asking him if he gives up, but Nash refuses. Nash fights the hold and finds a way to turn it!!!! Now the pressure is on Bret!!!!!! Bret quickly turns the hold himself but they end up in the ropes and Alfonso has to force the break.


Nash slowly pulls himself up in the corner. Hart goes back on the attack, punching and kicking Nash in the corner. Bret whips Nash into the opposite corner, and then rushes after Nash, but somehow Nash finds a way to explode out of the corner and crush Bret’s head with another Big Boot to the face!!!! Both Nash and Bret collapse to the mat!! The two are slow to get up, when they do Bret makes a bee line for Nash. Bret fires punches off at Nash, but Nash answers back with hard forearm smashes that backs Bret up, Nash then annhiliates Bret with a clothesline!!!!!! Nash once again signals that he is going to go for the JackKnife. Nash lifts Bret up into the air, but Bret fires off punch after punch after punch!!!! Nash’s knee gives out and he collapses with Bret on his chest!!!!!! Bret rolls off Nash and measures him, Nash rises to his feet and Bret his an inverted atomic drop!!!!!! Bret locks in the Sharpshooter!!!!! Nash is fighting it, Bret is leaning back refusing to let go!!!!! Nash is trying to reach the ropes, he is fighting for them but can’t seem to get to them. And their ain’t nothing stopping me from using my old friend here (lifts up the nightstick) to teach you a lesson!!!!!

Public Enemy’s Bring Tha Noize plays over highlights of the NWA wrestlers, ending with Bret Hart and the NWA World Title.

Joey Styles is seated at ringside and welcomes all of us to Wednesday Night Warriors. We have new NWA World Tag Team Champions and a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion, but neither are without controversy. Styles says we will talk about all that, as well as show some shocking footage that happened after Starcade went off the air!!!! Styles says Starcade was an amazing night and tells the fans to make sure and check their PPV schedules and if they missed it, to catch the replay! Styles then talks about tonight’s main event, a No DQ, No Count out battle between Ron Simmons and Big Bubba Rogers, all as a result of Rogers and Simmons going to a double count out at Starcade. Run DMC’s Down With The King starts to play signaling that the man who came oh so close to winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship last night, “Big Daddy Cool” Kevin Nash is on his way to the ring!!!

Nash is in an extremely foul mood and just rips right into The Sandman, the wanna be surfer from South Philly doesn’t stand a chance against the very pissed off giant. Nash is still limping slightly, slowing signs of the match he had with Bret Hart. Nash puts The Sandman away with a JackKnife Power Bomb.

He is DEMANDING that Bret Hartt face him again, and if the NWA refuses to sanction the match, then Nash will have to take matters into his own hands and that is not something the NWA will want him to do!!!!! Nash then leaves with a parting shot to Sid Vicious, who made a shocking debut at Starcade. Nash says he is the master of the Powerbomb and if Sid plans on hanging around the NWA he better find another move, or else face the consequences.

Missy Hyatt is backstage with NWA Commissioner Dory Funk Jr.. They talk about what Kevin Sullivan did at Starcade to Tatanka with the Golden Spike, and what he did to The Undertaker with the fire ball that cost The Undertaker his match with Kevin Nash. Dory says that the footage of both incidents are too graphic to show here on MTV, and the only way to see it is to catch the replay of Starcade. Dory repeats what he said at Starcade, Sullivan has been suspended for 3 weeks. The Championship Committee had looked at suspending Sullivan longer, but Tatanka’s tag team partner The Patriot spoke out against that, asking for Sullivan to be returned to the ring so that the Patriot could attempt to extract a measure of revenge. Missy says that The Undertaker has not been heard from since the fireball attack and Paul Bearer is not here tonight, but she has been assured he will be here next week and will address the Undertaker’s condition.


Sirus by The Alan Parson’s Project plays bringing out the NWA World Tag Team Champions Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Shane Douglas!!!! Styles says that there is allot of controversy surrounding the finals of the NWA Tag Title Tournament when Douglas pinned Jacob of the Bruise Brothers. Styles says he will talk with Steamboat and Douglas after this non title match about the situation!

TNT AND CRASH THE TERMINATOR

The masked TNT and the 350 pound high flyer Crash have made a pretty good tag team here in the NWA, but they have yet to be able to find a way to win a match. A win here against the World Tag Team Champion in a non title match would put them right on the map. TNT and Crash seem to understand this and go right at the Champions. Douglas and TNT have a spectacular brawl, before Douglas gets trapped in the ring. It looked like Douglas was down for the count when Crash goes for his 350 pound moonsault and MISSES YET AGAIN!!! Styles says that if Crash could just hit that move he and TNT could get a win, Shane then makes the hot tag to Steamboat who comes off the top rope with a double clothesline on Crash and TNT, Steamboat then hits the ropes and catches TNT with a crossbody block that he hangs onto for the cover and the 1-2-3.

Styles wonders if TNT and Crash would do better if they had a manager before having Steamboat and Douglas join him at ringside. Styles gets right to the heart of the matter and asks about what happened at Starcade, as he knows Steamboat has seen the tape by now. Steamboat says he has, and he saw that Douglas lied when he said he used the belly to belly to defeat Jacob, and instead used the Brass Knux that Col. Robert Parker tried to use on Shane. Steamboat says that’s not how they win matches, but he can understand that Shane was caught up in the moment and that he is young and sometime adrenaline makes you do things you wouldn’t normally do, including lying to your partner. Douglas apologizes and says it will never happen again. Steamboat says they will be fighting Champions and won’t back down to any challenges.

Joey Styles says at Starcade, Bret “The Hitman” Hart won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, but before he even stepped foot in the ring with Kevin Nash, Bret was faced with a challenge, one leveled to at him by Ted Dibiase. Dibiase interrupted the opening of Starcade to challenge Bret to a one on one match, since Kevin Nash and The Undertaker had to battle in a match before facing Bret later in the night. Bret, never one to back down to a challenge, accepted the match. With no prior warning, no training or preparing for facing Dibiase, Bret climbed into the ring to face The Million Dollar Man, and Dibiase defeated Bret.

There is some controversy surrounding that match, and when Bret Hart’s foot went on the bottom rope, and whether it was before or after the referee counted three, but Bret didn’t use that as an excuse and as a matter of fact asked us not to show the replay footage here on WNW in order to demonstrate that Bret may well have had his foot on the bottom rope. Regardless of the outcome of the match with Dibiase, Bret still went on to face Kevin Nash in the finals, and ended up defeating Nash in one of the most physical NWA World Title Matches of all time.

As Bret celebrated his win, Dibiase appeared in the aisle and mockingly applauded Bret’s win, laughing as Starcade went off the air. What no one saw is what happened later on as Bret Hart and friends celebrated Bret’ victory in the locker room. Styles shows that exclusive footage now:


Bret, Steamboat, Douglas, The Kid, The Smoking Gunns, and Ron Simmons are celebrating Bret’s win with champagne drinking it from the bottle and pouring it on Bret. Missy Hyatt is trying to get a word with Bret when Shane pour the champagne of Missy!!!! Missy gives up on trying to interview Bret and tells the camera man to cut the camera as she laughs that she is soaked. Suddenly Ted Dibiase, flanked by Rogers and Rotunda interrupt the party!!!!! Dibiase tells Bret to enjoy the hollow victory while he can, because while Bret won the title, Dibiase was never pinned in the tournament and on the night that Bret won the title, Dibiase pinned him. Dibiase says Bret is a paper champion and soon, very soon, they will face each other one on one for the title and Dibiase will then take what is rightfully his!!!


Styles says he cannot believe that Dibiase had the audacity to interrupt Bret’s celebration. Styles says next week, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart will be here, and he will have something to say about what Dibiase did!!

Simmons and Rogers pick up right where they left off at Starcade attacking each other in the aisle. Referee Bill Alfonso is just there to count three and cannot stop the match no matter what they do to each other!!! Simmons rams Rogers into the ring post before rolling him into the ring. Simmons is looking to put Rogers out for good as he beats on the mercenary. Styles wonders if what Dibiase paid Rogers to take Simmons out of the tournament was worth all of this??? Rogers is able to reverse an Irish Whip and catches Simmons with a clothesline to turn the tide. Rogers tosses Simmons into the corner and starts to pound on Simmons. After working Simmons over he slams Simmons hard on the mat and then rolls out of the ring. Rogers tosses Bob Artese out of his chair and then takes the chair with him back into the ring!!!! Rogers measures Simmons and then blast Simmons in the back with the steel chair!!!! Rogers tosses the chair to the side and goes for a cover, but only gets a two count.

Rogers bypasses the chair this time and instead grabs his Nightstick!!!! Rogers has bad intentions as he stalks Simmons. Simmons gets to his feet and Rogers raises the Nightstick high above his head, he tries to bring it crashing down on Simmons but Simmons stops him!!! The two are fighting over the nightstick, Rogers trying to bring it down on Simmons head, Simmons trying to keep him from doing it. Simmons breaks the stalemate by kicking Rogers in the gut!!! Simmons takes the Nightstick and BLAST ROGERS WITH IT!!!!!!! Simmons tosses the Nightstick out of the ring and goes for the cover!!!

MIKE ROTUNDA JUMPS INTO THE RING AND BREAKS UP THE COUNT!!!!! IT’S NO DQ SO ANYTHING GOES!!!!!

Simmons unloads on Rotunda and clotheslines him out of the ring. Before Rotunda can try and climb back in The Kid rushes down to ringside to grab Rotunda and the two fight to the back. Unbeknownst to Simmons however is that when Rotunda hit the ring he brought his briefcase with him and left it lying in the ring!!! Rogers picks the metal briefcase up and when Simmons turns around Rogers blast him with it!!!!! Simmons collapses like he was shot!!!!! Simmons isn’t moving as Rogers makes the cover!!!!! Its academic as Alfonso slaps the mat three times and Big Bubba Rogers steals this one with the help of Mike Rotunda!!!! Styles says that this war between Simmons and Rogers is far from over, and says that Rotunda and Rogers won’t be able to use a briefcase to steal a win next week against the Smoking Gunns!!!!!!!!!
